Chapter 7: Uchiha Rampage

Within the Leaf Village hospital, things weren’t happy as Kushina and the people that were with her to retrieve Sakura and Mebuki returned empty handed and the instant that he saw his wife, Minato knew immediately that it was Naruto that stopped them from getting Sakura and Mebuki which was confirmed by everyone. Right now, Kushina is being treated by Tsunade and Shizune for her wounded.

Tsunade says, “I can’t believe that the gaki of all people would help her.”

Shizune says, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Minato says, “With Mebuki as a former member of the civilian council and Sakura as Tsunade’s former apprentice, they have valuable intelligence and thanks to them managing to move their resources under our noses, valuable resources that will help weaken and strengthen the Alliance. My former son might have problems with Sakura, but he is no idiot. He is very valuable to her.”

Asuma tells Minato, “You never know, Fourth Hokage-sama. He might just do them in and take what they have got.”

Minato says, “I doubt that my former son has the guts to do that.”

Kurenai tells Minato, “Forgive me, Fourth Hokage-sama. I think that by now, you should know that underestimate Naruto will get yourself killed.”

Minato says, with a sigh, “Point taken.”

Tsunade tells Kushina, “Kushina, about what happened earlier, I didn’t know what got to me.”

Kushina responds, “Save it, Tsunade.” After Tsunade and Shizune are done, Kushina leaves in a huff while Minato does the same.

Sarutobi enters the room and Kurenai asks Tsunade, “Lady Hokage, why did you threaten Kushina?”

Tsunade responds, “I really don’t get why I acted the way that I did! It was for a while, it was like that Kushina wasn’t Kushina!”

Sarutobi says, “You felt like that deep down, those weren’t Kushina and Minato, correct? I should know, I’ve been feeling the same way.”

Guy says, “That’s crazy, Third Hokage-sama! They have Minato’s and Kushina’s personalities, their memories, and their DNA shows that they are Minato Namikaze, our Fourth Hokage, and Kushina Uzumaki Namikaze, his wife.”

Sarutobi tells Guy, “By Uzumaki law, Kushina isn’t an Uzumaki anymore, thanks to DAIMYO Naruto Uzumaki.”

Asuma tells Sarutobi, “Well, dad, you are going to have to agree. Even our own Daimyo agreed with the clan guardians and he is the last two Uzumaki since he managed to sneak one of his clan away from Orochimaru.”

Sarutobi says, “Who is still throwing a temper tantrum about that, I believe.”

Tsunade says, “That gaki is dividing us apart and destroying from within and from the outside!”

Sarutobi tells Tsunade, “Have you gotten the restoration of your regeneration and rejuvenation technique ready, Tsunade?”

Tsunade says, with a nod, “I do, Sarutobi-sensei. Thanks to the help and cooperation of Naruko, I’ve managed to recreate the technique despite her mastery of the chakra is nowhere near Minato’s control was.”

Asuma asks, “Why did you seal up the chakra in Naruko?”

Sarutobi says, “She is our best chance to stop Naruto. He is of the generation after you and me, Asuma. The only one that truly has a chance against him is one of Naruto’s generations and his sister is our best bet. Hopefully, Minato and Kushina can train him to use the chakra against Naruto.”

Kurenai says, “But Naruto has a level of human chakra equal to the fox! If he adds the fox’s power, Naruko won’t stand a chance!”

Sarutobi says, with a nod, “True, Kurenai. However, Minato is working on a way to drain Naruto’s chakra or the Kyuubi’s chakra to boost Naruko’s power, but it will take time. Since Naruto is a sealing jutsu user of an Uzumaki elite, which is most likely that he is even better with all of the knowledge of the Uzumaki and with what he took from Minato in the Namikaze compound, it will take time especially with the lack of knowledge of sealing jutsu knowledge due to what Naruto took from the Leaf.”

Tsunade says, “And once the Alliance learns that we can start making the old young again and regenerating stuff like your body and Kakashi’s arm, they may immediately unleash an offensive against us.”

Sarutobi says, “Then we had better prepare for the worst, Tsunade.” Tsunade nods her head and while Sarutobi prepares to go through his ‘therapy’ to repair the damage that his battle with Naruto months ago.

(Sometime later on; Within Wave)

Inside of Wave Country, Sakura is wandering the Wave Daimyo’s palace, which has been repaired since it was damaged by the assault of Naruto and his allies, months ago in which our Moon Princess lives here with her guardians since Naruto had her ‘elected’ Daimyo. The Alliance wasn’t exactly convinced and after intensive ‘questioning’ in which they had given evidence to show their sincerity, they were allowed sanctuary, but kept under close eye and watch. Right now, Sakura is looking over the palace and looking around at how neat and clean that it is.

Just then a female voice asks, “See something that you like?” Sakura whips around to see Sailor Moon, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Uranus, Ayane, Taki, and another woman that’s 19 years of age with a slender and petite yet strong with long brown hair tied into a single ponytail, hazel brown eyes, pink colored lips, and wearing a blue and white ninja style outfit.

Sakura thinks in her mind, surprised, “How did they get near me without my senses sensing them?”

Sailor Uranus says, “If you are wondering how we snuck on you, some of us were ninja already and the rest of us were trained by the best.”

Sailor Jupiter says, “The best that your former home threw away and tried to murder.”

Sakura says, plainly, “Naruto.”

Sailor Mars says, with a nod, “That’s right.”

Ayane says, plainly, “Naruto had plenty to say about you. Not good things.”

Sakura says, solemnly, “I’ll bet.”

Sailor Moon tells Sakura, plainly, “Personally, I really don’t like you, Sakura-san. You hurt Naruto-kun, who is great person. He and I were very close with the man that I loved so much. His name was Darien and he was like a new brother to Naruto unlike that Uchiha, but your village took him away from me and Naruto-kun.”

Sakura asks, surprised, “What do you mean?”

Sailor Uranus retorts, “Does the names ‘Danzo’ and ‘ROOT’ mean anything to you?”

Sakura says, getting the idea, “I get it.”

Sailor Mars says, “That fucking one-eyed freak sent some of his forces after Naruto-kun and to be honest, Naruto was deciding that getting payback against the Leaf would make him as low as them and he wanted to settle down after he completed his first ‘training adventure’ as a Keyblader and becoming a Keyblade Master. Then those ROOT killed Darien and in his mind, he had decided that he couldn’t stay down while evil remains in his world in which he was right.”

Sailor Jupiter says, “Your former home has got to go and if you want to blame anyone, blame that dead baka, Danzo, for pissing off our princess and Naruto-kun.”

Sailor Uranus tells Sakura, “You had better be glad that you had sense or you would have ended up like Iruka Umino that dared to pretend to be Naruto-kun’s friend.”

Sailor Moon tells Sakura, with a deadly glare that’s completely not typical of our gentle Moon Princess, “And if you dare to even think of hurting Naruto-kun, in the name of the moon, I will punish you so badly that you will wish that you are dead.” Sailor Moon then stomps off leaving Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Uranus surprised at her out of character behavior.

Sailor Jupiter asks, amazed, “Wow! Who knew that Serena was such a lioness?”

Sailor Mars tells Sailor Jupiter, with a sigh, “Don’t be too impressed, Jupiter. She is still hurting from Darien’s death and she is overprotective than ever.”

Taki says, “And so is the rest of us, Haruno-san.”

Ayane says, with a death glare, “You wish to remain alive. Don’t make even the wrong move to Naruto-kun.” Sakura nods her head nervously and she really gets the idea that if she even thinks of hitting Naruto like in the old days, it isn’t just Naruto hitting back that she needs to worry about.

Soon after, they hear footsteps and they look to see Anko coming towards them in which Taki asks, “What is it?”

Anko says, “Naruto-sama and the Alliance are meeting. Haruno-san to be brought to the meeting.”

Ayane says, “Understood. Time for you to leave, Anko-san.”

Anko says, gritting her teeth, “Right, Ayane-sama.” Soon after, Anko left in which she glares at Sakura, who flinches at her glare, but not for long as she leaves the others to meet with A, Gaara, Mei, Onoki, and Koyuki, who are assembled together and discussing the latest intelligence that they got from Sakura and Mebuki.

Onoki says, when he notices them, “Well, little girl, we found that the intelligence that you brought us is interesting.”

Gaara says, “I’m not surprised that the Leaf would sacrifice another innocent just to get what they want.”

A says, “If they start having the ability to regenerated and rejuvenate, it is going to be a headache!”

Mei says, “We can’t let the Leaf have any of their edges back or it may be trouble. We may have the advantage now, but if we let the Leaf have any layaway, the war could start to turn against us once more.”

A says, with a nod, “I agree with the Mizukage. We should launch an offensive immediately!”

Just then Naruto’s voice says, “I had better wait on that, Raikage-dono.” Everyone looks to see Naruto enter the room with a serious expression on his face.

Gaara asks Naruto, “What do you mean Naruto?”
Naruto says, with a plain tone and taking out a scroll, “Take a look at this, Gaara.” When the Kage look at the contents of the scroll, they are shocked.

Onoki says, shocked, “This can’t be.”

Mei asks Naruto, “I thought that you had stopped his revival?”

Naruto says, with a nod, “With Obito dead and his headquarters blown to pieces, I thought that I took care of everything. Guess I should have made sure that the whole place was turned to dust along with Madara’s body, but somebody managed to revive him.”

A says, with a sneer, “It must be that snake, Orochimaru! He must have used that revival jutsu of his!”

Naruto says, “I don’t know, Raikage-dono. I don’t know of anyone that can control someone like that guy.”

Onoki says, “Uzumaki has a point. Madara Uchiha is a monster beyond control even with that revival jutsu of Orochimaru. He would find a way to get out of his control even if he was revived in that fashion.”

Mei asks, “Even if it is him, the body of the Jubi would be destroyed, why would he want the Biju in the first place?”

Onoki says, “The body of the Jubi is gone, but the raw chakra of the Jubi is still around in the nine Biju. Sure, the two Biju that your nation had will take some years to be revived, but I don’t want to imagine someone like Madara with the raw chakra of a creature that’s like a force of nature itself beyond even the Kyuubi.”

Gaara says, with a nod, “I have to agree with the Tsuchikage. We can’t allow Madara to get the Biju. Their raw power will make him practically invincible.”

Onoki tells Naruto, “And I doubt that even you would be able to stop him then Uzumaki.”

Naruto retorts, with a smirk, “I wouldn’t count on it, Tsuchikage-dono. I haven’t been sitting on ass these months.”

Sailor Uranus says, with a smile, “Tell us about it. Do you know how many times in one day that we have to rebuild the training fields that he had destroyed? He makes the greatest wars in our world look like bitch fight and that’s it!”

Sailor Mars says, “And we’ve shown what our wars can be like.” The Kage nod their heads in agreement and they can’t help to wonder how strong Naruto is now compared to when he first returned home and started his campaign against the Leaf.

Naruto says, “And not to mention that Madara isn’t the only one with a Sharingan, Wood Style, and Rinnegan.”

Mei says, with a sultry smile, “Not to mention a few other bloodlines that you managed to acquire.” Onoki and A begin discussions of arranging marriages to Naruto in which A wishes for Yugito Nii to be married off to Naruto with Onoki wanting his daughter, who was rescued during the Alliance raid on the Leaf months ago, in order to get into more ‘good graces’ with our Uzumaki Keyblade Daimyo.

(The following day; Elsewhere)

At a hidden location, Orochimaru, Sasuke, and Kabuto get through the defenses of Madara Uchiha’s new base in which they are exploring the advanced genetic facilities.

Kabuto says, “It is a good thing that Madara didn’t know how to use its defenses.”

Orochimaru says, with a nod, “Indeed, Kabuto.”

Sasuke asks, “What’s the big deal?”

Orochimaru tells Sasuke, “Sasuke, we may be powerful, but the Leaf, despite their weakness, has some strong ninja at their disposal.”

Kabuto says, “Not to mention that they have regained their abilities to regenerate damage since they were able to get Kyuubi chakra from the Pseudo-Jinchuirki that former Guardian Ninja made out of his son.”

Orochimaru says, “Interesting irony.”

Sasuke asks, “So? How they can regenerate damage when they are dead?”

Orochimaru tells Sasuke, “The Leaf will recover enough strength to be trouble against even us, Sasuke. We are going to need to build up an army and an army of crazed soldiers from my Curse Seal won’t especially due to the fact that a group of them have been taken from my possession thanks to the Uzumaki brat and Karin.”

Kabuto says, “I’m surprised that Madara was able to figure out how to use this facility to create more Zetsu clones and give himself a vast army.”

Orochimaru says, “Yes, but he has made a mistake of focusing on only one while I have the insight to focus on more.”

Sasuke asks, “Why not use the resurrection jutsu that you used?”

Orochimaru says, “A wise idea, but I would not waste good ‘pawns’ to use against the Leaf. If we have mindless, yet, living husks to use, we will have more pawns to use Sasuke.”

Sasuke says, “So, you grow clone bodies to allow you to use your resurrection jutsu to create your undead army and you may also be able to clone duplicates of those ninja too to use against the Leaf? Clever, Orochimaru.”

Orochimaru says, with a sinister smile, “Thank you, Sasuke. And with this technology, I won’t need the regeneration technique anymore. I can just grow my next body.”

Kabuto says, “Through you have to admit that it would help to make the body last even longer.”

Orochimaru says, with a nod, “Indeed, Kabuto.” As Orochimaru and Kabuto planned to use the advanced technology, Sasuke can’t help to wonder how this kind of stuff got here in the first place and who put it in there.

(Later that same day; At the Sand Village)

At the Hidden Sand Village, the Alliance is preparing for their battle with Madara Uchiha and his Zetsu army in which the four Kage and Naruto are discussing their battle plans.

Onoki says, “You are taking a significant risk by pulling out much of our forces in center areas of the front lines.”

Naruto says, with a nod, “True, but we are going to need as much forces that we can get, Tsuchikage-dono.”

Gaara says, nodding his head in agreement, “I agree with Naruto. If we are going up against Madara Uchiha himself, then we need all of the forces that we can muster.”

Onoki tells them, “Agreed, Kazekage-dono. I’m not sure that we can help against Madara. I remember when I faced him and it wasn’t fighting a monster. It was fighting a Biju in human form.”

Naruto says, “And that’s why I will face him myself and the rest of you come down if I need help.”

Onoki tells Naruto, “I don’t know if I should call you brave or crazy Uzumaki.”

Naruto responds, with a cheeky smile, “Maybe both, Tsuchikage-dono.”

Onoki smirks and shakes his head at Naruto and Mei tells Naruto, “Naruto-dono, you know that the Leaf may hear about this and they may use this chance to make an offensive strike against us.”

Naruto says, with a grin, “That’s what I’m expecting on, Mei-chan.”

(Around that same time; Somewhere in Fire Country)

Close to the border between the Land of Fire and another place known as the Land of Rivers, which is under Alliance ‘control’, Minato, Jiraiya, and Sarutobi, who has been fully restored, are leading a huge force of Leaf ninja.

Jiraiya says, “This is a bad gamble, sensei.”

Sarutobi says, “I know, Jiraiya. However, we need to take this risk to win the war if your information is correct.”

Jiraiya says, “From what my spies could tell me, they are pulling back forces from some areas in the line including here, the Land of Rivers. They are assembling at the Sand Village for some reason or other.”

Minato says, “And that’s why we need to attack. We need to get gain a greater ‘buffer zone’ against the Alliance. With the Alliance busy on some kind of important matter, which I believe to be a big if they are taking so many troops, we can get an edge against them.”

Sarutobi says, “Wave is out of the story due her new military combined with all of the seals and defenses that they put up there including their new navy. With the naval forces of Whirlpool, Water, and even Lightning, our slowly rebuilding naval forces would be crushed.”

Jiraiya says, “The gaki and the Alliance aren’t going to take this lying down even if they are too busy.”

Minato says, with a nod, “True, Jiraiya. However, whatever it is, they can’t afford to send forces back due to the situation being so serious. If we can get a strong enough foothold, the Alliance won’t be able to do a thing in which I believe that they will be weakened from whatever enemy that they need to fight with so many forces.”

Sarutobi says, “Minato has a wise theory, Jiraiya.”

Jiraiya says, with a nod, “I know, sensei. However, I’ve got a bad feeling about this. The gaki is known for his surprises.” The ninja force is nearing the border with the Land of Rivers in which there is a forest in which what they don’t know is people with weapons that look similar to bolt action rifles with scopes are in those woods in which one of them takes aim and fires in which he manages to put a hole in the head of one Leaf ninja killing him instantly.

The Leaf ninja force stop in their tracks and one Leaf ninja shouts out, “What was that?” Another shot rings out and another Leaf ninja is killed instantly.

Jiraiya shouts out, “Fall back! They have people from Wave with firearms in those trees! They must be those ‘snipers’!” Just then they hear a loud rumbling coming from their left in which the Leaf ninja see people riding horses including Stone, Sand, Cloud, and Mist ninja in which they take out rapid fire kunai launches and launch a barrage of kunai with explosive tags tied to them.

Minato roars out, “Scatter!” Soon enough, the Leaf ninja are forced to scatter as explosion start to hit all around them and then glider born ninja appear in which they unleash more rapid fire kunai with explosive tags along with small bombs attached to the wings of their gliders in which they drop all around the Leaf ninja before unleashing airborne elemental jutsu attacks in which the Cloud ninja on horseback ride in with their horses and slice several Leaf ninja with their lightning chakra charged swords.

As chaos reigned through the Leaf ranks, Sarutobi shouts out, “He knew exactly how to strike us!” Minato, Jiraiya, and Sarutobi as well as other leaders of the Leaf force struggle to organize their forces against this surprise attack, the glider and horseback forces of the Alliance, which are small in number, continue to spread chaos throughout the ranks making the attack to the Land of Rivers currently stalled and impossible.

(Returning to the Hidden Sand; Sometime soon afterwards)

At the Hidden Sand, the Alliance forces are shocked and stunned as Madara Uchiha and his White Zetsu army appear on the distance in which he looks at them with his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan eyes.

As the Alliance and its leaders look on, Onoki says, seriously and a bit of fear in his eyes, “It is him.”

Mei says, “That’s Madara Uchiha. Normally, I would say that he is quite fetching, despite nothing of the level of Daimyo Uzumaki here, but something about him seems very ugly.”

A says, with a serious tone, “He doesn’t look undead to me!”

Naruto says, “He isn’t undead! Someone revived him completely back to life and I know that it isn’t Orochimaru. It isn’t his thing especially with people that aren’t controlled in life.”

Onoki asks, “Then who revived him? And why?”

Naruto says, with a smirk, “That’s what I plan to ask the old fart myself, Tsuchikage-dono.”

Onoki tells Naruto, “I still wonder if you are too brave or too crazy for your own good, Uzumaki.” Naruto smirks as he and the Alliance stare down Madara and his White Zetsu army.

Madara to the White Zetsu, looking at Killer Bee, Yugito, and Gaara, “Find the other Jinchuirki. The Uzumaki belongs to me.”

One of the White Zetsu responds, “Yes, sir. And the Alliance?”

Madara responds, “Get rid of them.” Without needing any other words, the White Zetsu army charges into the fight while the Alliance charges in to counterattack while Naruto and Madara charge at each other in which they immediately crash by bashing each other in the face with their fists sending them both skidding back while causing a huge shockwave from the blows that they created/took.

Naruto says, “Not bad, old man.”

Madara says, “So, you are the infamous Naruto Uzumaki, the betrayed son of the Fourth Hokage and Kushina U-I mean Namikaze, thanks to you banishing her from her own clan? I must say that you are more powerful than I first thought.”

Naruto says, “What can I say? I’m full of surprises, Madara-teme.”

Madara says, with a plain tone, “Indeed. Your other enemies mistakenly underestimated you. I won’t make that same mistake.”

Naruto says, “I’m counting on it, but I’m confused at what you are doing since I blew your ‘Eye of the Moon Plan’ to tiny bits. However, I think that the word ‘classic Uchiha revenge story’ come into play.”

Madara says, “There is nothing ‘classic’ about it, Uzumaki. I wish for revenge against you to stop my perfect world from coming about, yes. However, while you have destroyed the body of the Jubi, the chakra of the Jubi still exists and if I combine that with the Izanagi, you can guess what my new plan is.”

Naruto says, with a plain tone, “I got the idea, Madara-teme. You know that I’m not going to let them happen.”

Madara says, “Let’s see if you can stop me in which I doubt, Uzumaki. There is only one person that can stop me and he died long ago in which his village betrayed his ideals soon after. While you are powerful, Uzumaki, you are no Hashirama Senju because there is more to Hashirama than just raw power alone.”

“Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation!”

Madara unleashes a powerful wall of flames right at Naruto, but Naruto cuts it down with his Keyblade, currently in the form of an Oblivion Keyblade.

Madara says, “You do weld it, Uzumaki. The weapon of the Sage: The legendary Keyblade.”

Naruto says, dismissing his Keyblade, “I see that you know your ‘secret history’, Madara.”

Madara responds, “I know many things, Uzumaki. However, despite you welding the weapon of the Sage, it doesn’t mean that you are his heir.” Madara charges in at Naruto, but Naruto uses his super-speed to easily blur away and land a powerful blow on Madara, causing him to gasp for air and his chest armor is greatly damaged. However, Madara counters with a blow to Naruto’s face which result in a nasty gash that quickly heals in which Naruto bashes Madara causing a gash to form on his cheek. Soon enough, the two of them engage into an intense close range combat fight while the rest of the Alliance is dealing with the forces of the White Zetsu army which are proving to be tough, but not unbeatable. Hinata uses her Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms technique to cut down Zetsu after Zetsu while Sakura helps with the wounded in the battlefield while beating down another Zetsu with her super-strength.

As the battle went on, a young Sand kunoichi, Matsuri, around twenty years of age, spots a sneak attack on Gaara and she yells out, “Kazekage-sama, watch out!” Before the White Zetsu can attack Gaara from his blind spot, Gaara’s sand moves in and crushes the opponent.

When Matsuri comes in, Gaara says, “I thank you for your warning, but it wasn’t necessary, Matsuri.”

Matsuri tells Gaara, “You’re welcome, Kazekage-sama.”

Gaara tells Matsuri, “You are doing well, Matsuri.”

Matsuri says, with a blush, “Thank you, Kazekage-sama.” The battle continues with intensity and then Naruto’s ‘other world’ allies/friends show up in which Cloud and Squall ride in on Cloud’s motorcycle, drop down in the middle of the White Zetsu arm, and slashing dozens upon dozens to pieces in which Taki, the blond dressed in an outfit similar to Taki, Natsu, Ayane, and the kunoichi with brown hair and blue and white kunoichi style outfit, Ayane’s elder half-sister, Kasumi, attack from the flanks while Lightning, riding Odin, launches her own sneak attack. With warriors like Leina, Echidna, Airi, and other attack from the front lines and cut down more of the enemy in which the White Zetsu army is starting to waver and greatly weaken.

When Madara sees this, he says, plainly, “You have strong allies, Uzumaki.”

Naruto tells Madara, “You didn’t underestimate me, you underestimate my new precious people in which that’s a mistake you will regret.”

Madara says, plainly, “I think not, Uzumaki.”

“Amaterasu!”

Madara unleashes his black flames at Naruto, but Naruto easily dodges the attack with his super-speed.

“Wood Style: Wood Dragon Jutsu!”

Naruto then creates a giant wooden dragon that heads right for Madara, but Madara’s eyes change from Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan to Rinnegan.

“Almighty Push!”

Madara uses a powerful gravity wave to destroy the wooden dragon that was heading for him, but Naruto activated his Rinnegan as well.

“Universal Pull!”

Madara then feels himself flying towards Naruto in which he has a lightning chakra charged Rasengan in his right hand.

“Fire Style: Majestic Demolisher!”

Madara then unleashes a powerful jet of flames and sends himself high into the sky in which he prepares for another assault.

“Fire Style: Great Fireball Shower!”

Madara then unleashes an assault of meteor style fireballs right for Naruto, but Naruto uses a Force Push to snuff them out.

“Doublecast! Flare! Flare!

Naruto then unleashes two huge fireball-shaped blasts of mystical energy right at Madara.

“Fire Style: Hiding in Ash and Dust Jutsu!”

Madara then expels a ton of ash and hot dust from his mouth and it covers a huge amount of area for him in which the two mystical attacks cause a massive explosion when they hit the ash and dust wall, but when the smoke and dust clear, Madara lands on the ground unharmed.

Madara tells Naruto, “You are a strong opponent. It was wise of me not to underestimate you.”

Naruto says, with a smirk, “Good for you, Madara-teme.”

Madara says, forming a massive blue chakra warrior that looks like a samurai with a tengu mask, “Then I must go all-out to destroy you. I must say that it is enjoyable that for the first time, someone has made me go all-out other than Hashirama, but like I said, you aren’t him and that means that you can’t win against me.”

Naruto responds, “Impossible isn’t in my vocabulary, pal.”

Madara responds, “You should read the entry then. You are about to learn it the hard it with my Final Susanoo, Uzumaki.”

Naruto asks, “You think that you are the only one with that trick, Madara-teme?” Naruto then creates his own golden Susanoo in which he creates one similar to Madara’s Final Susanoo expect it is golden in color and it is wearing a fox mask instead of a Tengu mask. Madara’s eyes narrow in which the two massive chakra entities draw their swords and they clash causing massive shockwaves that cause the whole area to shake from the sheer power and the two armies fighting each other stop fighting at the battle between the two titans continue on.

Onoki says, awe-struck, “Incredible.”

Mei says, with a nod, “Indeed, Tsuchikage-dono.”

Killer Bee says, “Number nine is laying the line!”

A growl at his brother for his typical attitude, which annoys him to no end, and Matatabi, the Two-Tailed Nibi, tells Yugito, with a seductive and lustful purr, “I have to say that Kurama-chan’s kit is really something else. You had better start making kittens with him soon or I will make you go feral.”

Yugito yelps out, shocked, “You wouldn’t dare, Matatabi-chan!”

Lightning says, “Typical Naruto. He always has to make it a grand show.”

Leina says, “Not sure that he has a choice, Lightning.” As the two of them continue to clash, the sheer power of their attacks with their Susanoo is causing their chakra entities to crack and then shatter when they hit each other with another clash that shatters them apart in which they winch greatly due to the fact that their Susanoo are the manifestation of the Mangekyo Sharingan users own chakra.

The two of them land safely on the ground and Madara tells Naruto, with a sly smirk, “Impressive, Uzumaki. I never thought that I would fight someone that would give me a battle much like Hashirama. I must admit that I respect your abilities and your power, boy.”

“Wood Style: Deep Forest Bloom!”

Madara then creates a massive forest that has blooming flowers that contain pollen that can knock out an opponent if they breathe it in.

“Amaterasu!”

Naruto counters with his own version of the jet black flames in which it turns the forest and its flowers into ashes.

“Shattered Heaven!”

There is a massive rumblings and everyone wonders what the heck is going until they see something that shocks them to the core as a massive meteorite is falling down towards Naruto.

Cloud says, shocked, “Incredible.”

Squall says, stunned, “Impossible.”

Mei says, flabbergasted, “That can’t be possible.”

Hinata yells out, shocked, “Naruto-kun, watch out!” However, Naruto creates a group of shadow clones in which they help Naruto form an aurora colored Rasenshuriken to counterattack.

“Elemental Style: Aurora Rasenshuriken!”

Naruto launches his attack at the meteor in which the elemental chakra attack slams into the meteor causing a massive explosion that causes the meteor to crack, shatter, and turn into dust, but then a second one then appears in which Naruto looks at Madara, surrounded by his two headed complete, but not final Susanoo.

Madara tells Naruto, “Impressive, boy. However, you should remember to always have a backup to anything.”

Naruto says, bringing out his Keyblade, “Shouldn’t you take your own advice, Madara-teme?” Naruto then leaps high into the sky and heads straight for the meteor.

Everyone who sees this is shocked and Onoki asks, “What is Uzumaki doing?”

Sakura shouts out, “Naruto, don’t do it!” However, Naruto doesn’t listen and when he gets close to the meteor, it takes only one slice with his Keyblade and he cuts the meteor in half which turns into dust soon after much to everyone’s, especially Madara’s, surprise.

Yugito says, shocked, “Holy crap!”

Natsu says, amazed, “He did it! He cut a meteor in half!”

Echidna says, with a smirk, “Not surprising, little girl. This is our little foxy-kun after all.” Madara’s right eyelash twitches in annoyance seeing someone other than Hashirama managing to match him in battle in which his mental musing is broken when Naruto drops down on him and cuts his Susanoo right in half causing it to shatter. However, Madara kicks Naruto’s Keyblade out of his hand and grabs onto his arm in which he starts to drain his chakra.

Madara says, “I must congratulate you. You are the first one since Hashirama to match me so well, but you are the first one since him to annoy me.”

Naruto says, with a smirk, “Too bad that I intend to keep doing that.” Naruto then uses his Force powers to put his Lightsaber into his free hand and once activated, Naruto cuts off Madara’s hand and lower arm that’s grab onto his arm in which Madara grunts in pain, but he leaps away and over to the White Zetsu clone army in which he takes the arm of one of the clones to replace the arm and hand that he just lost.

Madara says, “He really is an Uzumaki. He is just as annoying Hashirama’s wife if not more so.”

Naruto then senses something and he yells out, enhancing his voice with his chakra, “Everyone! It’s time! Get to the barrier now!” Immediately, the Alliance forces and Naruto’s allies quickly evacuate to the edge of the Sand Village in which a powerful dome barrier appears around it in which Madara is confused, but he then sees a bright light into the distance. When everyone looks at the ‘bright light’, it is all of the Sailor Scouts together and grouped in a circle with their hands together.

One White Zetsu asks, curiously, “What’s with the light?”

Naruto tells Madara, “It is like you said before: Always have a backup for anything.”

“Sailor Planet Power!”

The Sailor Scouts then unleash a powerful combined assault which is greatly enhanced by their powerful chakra in which Naruto uses Hirashin to teleport into the barrier the instant that the attack slams into Madara and the White Zetsu army with terrific force. Madara attempts to use his Rinnegan and the Preta Path power to absorb chakra, but this wasn’t a chakra attack. It was a powerful cosmic mystical attack enhanced by chakra which meant that Madara and his White Zetsu army are vaporized in a nuclear level explosion in which the Sand Village and the Alliance are saved by the powerful barrier that was created by Naruto for this battle in which the explosion leaves a mushroom shaped cloud to show it similar in power and scope as a nuclear explosion.

Leina says, amazed, “Such power.”

Kasumi says, awe-struck, “I never knew that the Sailor Scouts possessed such power.”
Lightning says, “This wasn’t just the combining of powers. This was a power created by the combining and mixing of their powers together like mixing certain chemicals together to create something that’s far greater than the sum of the ‘original parts’. Added to the fact that their chakra and ninja training have enhanced their physical and spiritual strength to new levels to enhance their Sailor Scout powers as well as gaining even stronger mystical powers in which I doubt that we won’t see anything of this scale again.”

Naruto tells Lightning, “Never say never, Lightning-chan.”

Mei asks, “Is it true? Is Madara really gone?”

Naruto tells Mei, “Mei-dono, unless Madara can survive something that’s equal to a nuclear explosion which equal or stronger to a Tailed Beast bomb, I doubt it.”

Echidna says, “And his Rinnegan abilities only absorb chakra. This is a mystical energy attack enhanced by chakra which means that Madara would have a problem absorbing it.”

Onoki says, amazed, “I just can’t believe my old eyes! I thought that only the First Hokage himself could defeat Madara Uchiha!”

A says, “Well, it looks like you were wrong, old man! Uzumaki-dono has done it!”

Naruto says, with a smile, “I can’t take all of the credit. I think that Daimyo Serena-chan and her girls deserve credit since they are the ones that delivered the final blow.” Soon enough, the group is joined by the Sailor Scouts after the barrier is taken down in which Sailor Moon and Naruto share a kiss and the other Sailor Scouts get a kiss from Naruto soon after.

Sailor Venus tells Naruto, “Naruto-kun, we did it!”

Sailor Neptune says, with a smile, “Your plan worked to perfection, Naruto-kun.”

Naruto asks, “Was there any doubt?”

Sailor Mars retorts, with a smirk, “Do you really want us to answer that Naruto-kun?” Soon enough, the Sailor Scouts, Naruto, and the Alliance share quite a few laughs until one of the medical personal, who was preparing the hospital for the causalities, runs up.

The Alliance medical ninja, one of the Sand Village medical ninja, shouts out, “Kazekage-sama!”

Gaara asks, “What is it?”

The Sand village medical ninja says, “Leaf invasion force at the border of the Land of Rivers, Kazekage-sama. The small units of Wave Sharpshooters, Ninja Calvary Corps, and Glider Corps are holding them off, but they can’t for long!”

Onoki says, with a sneer, “Thought so.”

A says, with a sneer, “They must be thinking that we would be stuck and greatly weakened from our battle with Madara, even if they didn’t know who was attacking us.”

Mei asks, “Shall we make the Leaf think again?”

Naruto responds, with a nod, “Believe it!”

Hinata asks Naruto, “Do you think that you can still fight, Naruto-kun?” Naruto just kisses Hinata and Hinata knows that Naruto is just fine in which he prepares to use his former father’s signature jutsu to bring Alliance forces to the fight at the border between Rivers and Fire.

(A good time afterwards; At the border between Rivers and Fire)

At the border between Fire Country and River Country, the Leaf ninja have finally driven off the Alliance Ninja Calvary and Glider units along with the snipers from Wave military with a massive jutsu assault on the first in which their casualties, dead and wounded, are light, but they are in complete disarray and trying to get reorganized.

Jiraiya says, “Causalities are light, but we are completely unorganized.”

Sarutobi says, “We need to get hurry and reorganized. We can’t have any more time!”

Minato says, “I know, Third Hokage-sama! Any wasted second is an edge for the Alliance!” Just then, as if to make a point, multiple kunai rain down and stick to the ground near the Leaf ninja force in which they look to see a large Alliance army, led by Naruto and the four Kage, coming out and moving on their left flank.

Onoki yells out, “Kick their asses back to their village!” A roar comes from the Alliance ninja forces, who immediately charge in with kunai and swords glinting, and they are launching jutsu against the still disorganized Leaf ninja forces, who haven’t recovered from the surprise counterattack from the Alliance defense forces that stopped them.

One Leaf ninja shouts out, fearfully, “Every ninja for themselves!” With those words, a great rout of the Leaf ninja forces starts as they start to run for their lives.

Sarutobi shouts out, sternly and trying to regain control, “Stand firm! You aren’t cowards! You are Leaf ninja! The Will of Fire burns in you!” However, Sarutobi’s pleas to his ninja fall on deaf ears as the panic spreads throughout the Leaf ninja forces in which their fear of Naruto is great.

Jiraiya tells Sarutobi, “It is no use, sensei! We must withdraw! The Alliance has caught us at our weakest!” Sarutobi hates running in the face of the enemy, but he knows better in which he, Minato, and Jiraiya join their routed forces in their run back to the Leaf Village as the Alliance ninja give chase in which they are joined by the survivors of the Alliance Ninja Calvary and Glider units.

Mei asks, “Should we stop?”
Naruto says, with a smirk, “I think that we should chase them a little to ‘encourage’ them to return home.”

Onoki says, with a smile, “This is rich! I think that we should call this the ‘Great Leaf Chase’!”

A says, annoyed, “That’s original old man!”

Naruto asks, “How about the ‘The Day of the Running Leaves’ instead?”

Onoki says, with a smirk, “I love it, Uzumaki-dono!”

Naruto says, “What I don’t love is how Madara built his army without the Jubi’s body and the clone of the First Hokage that he created from his cells.”

Gaara says, with a plain tone, “That’s a good point, Naruto. It makes me wonder at how and I fear the answer will come to us soon enough.”

(Much later; Rejoining Orochimaru)

Back with Orochimaru, Sasuke, and Kabuto, they are inside of the facility that Madara used to create his White Zetsu army in which they managed to figure out enough in which they plan to start replicating bodies for Orochimaru’s resurrection jutsu using ‘duplicates’ of strong enough warriors in Orochimaru’s army. He also plans to create a new body for himself with the powers of Sasuke, Kimimaro, and the First Hokage for examine in order to gain all of the world’s jutsu for himself. He is also exploring a way to completely revive the dead and he comes up with an idea.

Sasuke asks, “Completely reviving the dead?”

Orochimaru says, with a nod, “That’s right, Sasuke. Pain’s revival jutsu ability takes a massive amount of chakra, but the Rinnegan has the power to revive the dead, provided that there is a vessel for the dead person that can be restored when he is revived and there is enough chakra in the user of the technique to revive them with. While Pain got his Rinnegan because Madara gave Pain his Rinnegan eyes, Pain was an Uzumaki and the act activated his Rinnegan gene, so, it means that any time that we clone Pain or in this case Nagato UZUMAKI, he should have the power of the Rinnegan.”

Sasuke asks Orochimaru, “Why tell me this?”

Orochimaru tells Sasuke, with a sly smirk, “Just a thought.”

Sasuke says, “You want my more ‘permanent’ loyalty and in turn, I can get my family and clan back.”

Orochimaru tells Sasuke, “You said it, not I.”

Sasuke just leaves in a huff and when he is done, Kabuto asks Orochimaru, “Are you going to really revive his family?”

Orochimaru responds, with a wicked grin, “Maybe or maybe not, Kabuto. I will have to see how much trouble that he will be.”

Kabuto says, “I understand, Orochimaru-sama.”

Orochimaru tells Kabuto, “How are the first batch of clones coming?”

Kabuto tells Orochimaru, “They are doing well, Orochimaru-sama.”

Orochimaru says, “Good, Kabuto. I will need a few of them to come with to the Uzumaki Mask Temple.”

Kabuto asks, “The Uzumaki Mask Temple?”

Orochimaru says, “In order to get back what sensei stole from me, I’m going to need to use my Immortality Jutsu again.”

Kabuto tells Orochimaru, with a wicked smirk, “It might be also a good idea to take back your elite guard.”

Orochimaru says, with a sinister smile, “A good idea, Kabuto. I shall leave it to you.” Kabuto nods his head as he starts to get to work on his plan to completely revive Orochimaru’s elite guard, the Sound Five.

(Inside of Whirlpool; the following day)

Within Whirlpool, which has been mainly rebuilt, there is an incredible harbor filled with ships that range from luxury ships to World War I style destroyers, cruisers, and battleships, well-developed urban and city housing, and there is a grand palace similar to the Forbidden City in Beijing, China and inside of that palace, Naruto is with a beautiful female humanoid that’s in her twenties with blue skin with no hair anyway other than her sexy and seductive eyelashes, a tentacle attached to each side of her scalp that flows down mid-waist behind her back, brown eyes, light violet lips, and gorgeous and strong female body in which she has a scanty outfit on. The two of them are sharing a passionate and loving kiss in which Naruto has his hands all over the woman’s bare skin.

When they release from the kiss, Naruto tells her, “I’m glad that you and others can be here, Aayla-chan.”

The blue skinned humanoid responds, with a warm smile, “Same here, Naruto.”

Naruto tells the blue skinned humanoid, “I hope that you can enjoy your new life here and the Force said that balance will be restored one day.”

The blue skinned humanoid, Aayla, responds, “I know so, Naruto.”

Naruto says, “When Madara got all those cloned, I sensed is disruption in the Force and more.”

Aayla responds, “Your ancestor?”

Naruto responds, “I’m not sure, Aayla-chan. I’m glad that the other Kage agree with me.”

Aayla tells Naruto, “You really did help turn this war around for them, Naruto.”

Naruto says, “I’m fulfilling the prophecy that the Toads had, but the prophecy is changing all the time they tell me.”

Aayla tells Naruto, “You should know that the future is NEVER set in stone, Naruto.”

Naruto says, with a nod, “The Force can only allow you to see the possible future. It is your choice to see it out or change it.” As Aayla nods his head, he can’t help to feel happy at the moment, but a familiar sense reaches and he is annoyed, in which he is also curious, as he ignores it along with Aayla in which some distance away, Sakura Haruno is watching Naruto, not with anger, but with guilt for being a fool and a longing for love.

(At Mount Myoboku; on the meanwhile)

At Mount Myoboku, Fukasaku, Shima, and Gamabunta are talking about what the Great Toad Sage just talked to them about.

Gamabunta asks, “Do you know what Great Honorable Geezer means?”

Fukasaku says, “The Power of Ages pass will come into this world, the Dark One’s plot of which the ageless ones, the judges of the great contest, cannot stop will come to fruition, the great battle shall be fought in the place where the flames of light have died off, the heir of the great sage shall fight will fight the successor to the dark world beyond and fail alone, pure chaos shall be unleashed, and the heir can only bring peace if he unites the five elementals of light, his five fingers, into his ‘fist’ and unite and strike.”

Shima asks, “Got any ideas on what he means Pa?”

Fukasaku says, “I may have an idea. I think the ‘heir to the great sage’ is the chosen one of his prophecy.”

Gamabunta then tells Fukasaku, “Huh? If that’s true, Elder Fukasaku, then Naruto will lose to the ‘successor of the dark world beyond’.”

Fukasaku says, “Alone, Bunta-boy. The Great Honorable Geezer also said that he can only bring peace by uniting the five elementals of light, his five fingers, to strike.”

Shima asks, “But who are these ‘five elementals of light’?”

Fukasaku says, with a sigh, “I have no idea, Ma. And I don’t get the meaning of the rest of this latest prophecy involving Naruto-boy.”

Gamabunta asks, “Should we tell Naruto?”

Fukasaku says, “After what happened with that wretch, Jiraiya, I would say no, but Naruto-boy is far more trustworthy and he has become an honorary member of the clan.” The Toads then decide to bring Naruto to Mount Myoboku and tell him about this latest prophecy involving him by the Great Toad Sage.

(Returning to the cloning facility; One evening)

At one of the air ducts of the cloning/genetic facility where Madara finished the creation of his White Zetsu army, there are two unconscious Sound ninja in which we find a group of people in front of them. In that group, there is a young woman of 21 years of age with long brown hair tied in a single ponytail, brown eyes, and she is wearing a red shinobi dress, with a white bowtie and large, long, flowing, red and white ribbons behind her. She often wears white or red panties underneath. On her arms, she has black wristbands, and on her legs she has black socks with red and white sandals.

There is also a 19 year old with short black hair that can be seen as brown in certain shades of light and shadow, brown eyes, and she is wearing a blue and black strapless top that reveals her midriff, shoulder straps and black and yellow belt looped from underneath her shirt and over the shoulder that hikes the shirt further up her stomach, orange denim short-shorts with a yellow belt tied together with a cord, a yellow pouch closed with string crossed over to create a loop that attaches two buttons, as well as dark grey wristband on her left arm, a dark blue fingerless glove with off-white string that covers her entire right forearm, braced black and blue-grey boots and thigh high white socks, and finally, she has a long black and white headband across her forehead.

There is also young, fair skinned, and beautiful woman in her early twenties. Her light purple colored hair is kept short on the sides, a long strand hangs from the right side of her fringe down to her chest, and the hair at the back of her head is a bit thicker and reaches down to her shoulder blades. Her lips have been colored light purple, matching her hair color. Her eyes are light blue and her clothing consists of is a short, sleeveless, dark purple tunic with black edges. The front and back of the tunic are open which shows a hefty amount of her cleavage and fully exposes her back. The tunic is kept together by a red obi belt tied on the front of her waist. Her forearms wear dark brown leather bracers. Her right elbow and shoulder are bare, while her left arm wears a fishnet sleeve and a simple shoulder plate. This woman’s legs are almost bare, save for dark purple socks and Japanese-style tabi shoes. The most distinguished part of her outfit is the brown headband with a pair of small, curved horns. Between the horns, the middle of her fringe hangs over the headband down to just above her eyebrows. Around her neck is a dark purple choker.

With these women are Taki, Ayane, and Kasumi in which the black hair woman says, with a smirk, “Some ninjas, ha! They can’t handle one Sleep Matera!”

Ayane tells this woman, “Quiet, Yuffie.”

Taki says, “We, ninja, are also use silence especially on missions like these.”

Mai says, “I really wish that Naruto-kun was here to see me work. He will be so impressed with me.”

The light violet colored haired woman responds, with a smile, “He’ll be impressed with both of us. I just hope that Lady Tomoe will be all right with him.”

Ayane says, “Naruto wouldn’t harm any of us, Shizuka-san.”

The woman responds, “Of course not!” The woman then says, with a blush and dreamy sigh, “We just learned about his ‘wild side’ and he can be quite an animal in bed.” The other kunoichi can’t help to blush at this in which they keep their minds off such thinking in which they head into the lab making sure to keep as quiet as possible in which they leave in a storage room while the light violet haired woman, Shizuka, and black haired woman, Yuffie, take out two more guards in which Mai beats down two more after they see the assault, however, they have no time to react in which they put the four unconscious Sound ninja guards in the storage one in which they sneak around. However, they quickly get into one room and they see the glass tubes where they find that they are clones of Nagato.

Shizuka asks, “Is this that Nagato guy?”

Kasumi says, “They are clones of him, Shizuka-san.”

The brown haired ninja asks, “You mean like the kind that you see in science fiction shows and such?”
Kasumi says, with a nod, “That’s right, Mai-san. But back at our home, Donovan made cloning a reality, not a science fiction fantasy.”

Ayane says, “This looks like a facility similar to the ones that Donovan had. We did find an abandoned area where they were exploring ‘space-time’ technology.”

Kasumi asks, “Do you think that it is possible that they had arrived here?”

Shizuka asks, “How can you get to other worlds without the Queen’s Gate?”

Taki says, “Right now, we have a mission to perform from Naruto-kun.” Just then the kunoichi sense something and immediately take to the room and into an air duct right away.” Soon after, Orochimaru and Kabuto enter the room with none other than Mikoto Uchiha and Mito Uzumaki, looking like her younger self, but both kunoichi have forms that looks like that they were revived using Reanimation jutsu developed by the Second Hokage and used and perfected by Orochimaru during his invasion of the Leaf Village many years ago in which cracks can been all over their pale skin.

Kabuto asks Orochimaru, “Why test this with them?”

Orochimaru responds, “They will prove very valuable in the future to me.”
Kabuto says, “Sasuke may get mad if he knows that you have his mother.”

Orochimaru says, “If his mother is alive, Kabuto, he may prove more ‘loyal’ to us and plus, I plan to revive her young, she may prove valuable bodies for the future as well as Mito to gain their Uzumaki life-force to perfect my perfect body, Kabuto.”

Kabuto says, with a smirk, “I see, Orochimaru-sama.” Soon enough, the two of them release a pair of Nagato clones in which while they have the full power of the original Nagato and then some, they are completely without free will. Without hesitation, the two clones use the power of Rinne Rebirth Jutsu to complete revive Mito and Mikoto in which their Reanimated undead forms are turned into living flesh and blood in which the two Nagato clones die due to the immense chakra usage of the jutsu while the revived Mito and Mikoto collapse onto the ground.

Orochimaru says, with a sinister smirk, “Excellent.”

Kabuto tells Orochimaru, with a wicked grin, “It worked perfectly, Orochimaru-sama. They are back to life.”

Orochimaru says, with a nod, “Good. I shall get to work bringing back my Sound Five. For now, put these into ‘storage’.”

Just then Yuffie’s voice booms, “Not yet, you freak!” Kabuto and Orochimaru are surprised since they didn’t sense anyone, but then there is a swirl of sakura petals in which Kasumi comes out of them before landing a powerful set of kicks to Kabuto and Orochimaru in which they are knocked down and senseless for the moment in which the other kunoichi come out of the air duct and fill into the room.

Taki says, “We need to get them out of here!”

Shizuka says, “You don’t need to tell us twice, Taki-san.” Immediately, Ayane picks up Mito while Mai grabs Mikoto in which they gather around Kasumi and they vanish in a swirl of sakura petals.

Kabuto shouts out, after recovering, “Who were they, Orochimaru-sama?!”

Orochimaru responds, “I’m not sure, Kabuto. But I believe that we have Naruto to thank for this situation.”
Kabuto asks, “How can you be so sure, Orochimaru-sama?”
Orochimaru tells Kabuto, “Some of those kunoichi make the reports of ‘unusual kunoichi’ that make up Naruto’s new allies, Kabuto.”

Kabuto says, “If they are here, then Naruto must know about this place.”

Orochimaru says, “That means that we need to step up our operation and move it as well to another location.”

Kabuto says, “I’ll increase security while getting to work on your projects as well as moving the equipment to one of our secret bases.”

Orochimaru says, with a nod, “Good, Kabuto. I’ll leave it in your capable hands.” As Orochimaru gets to his feet, he doesn’t notice that inside of one of the security rooms in this facility, Sasuke was watching what was happening and he can’t help to get an angered sneer at Orochimaru in which he feels that Orochimaru’s ‘usefulness’ to him in his plans for revenge against the Leaf Village are at their end in which he starts to plan for Orochimaru’s end among other things.

And that’s the end of this chapter, everyone. Personally, I think that Naruto was winning a bit too easily in which I wanted to give him a challenge in which why not have Madara Uchiha come into play and give Naruto a fight for his life. I believe that I managed to show that he and Madara were pretty close to match each other in which Naruto had the edge in the form of friends/allies/lovers that make for Madara being a ‘lone wolf’ in this case. With Madara gone and the Akatsuki destroyed, there is only Orochimaru and the Leaf to deal with, right? Wrong!
