Chapter 3

The female is….

Hi all. I finally updated. So sorry it took so long, I have just been extremely busy. That and a bit of writer’s block affecting me. I had originally written this chapter but I thought it sucked so I refused to post it till I could come up with something better. So sorry that this chapter is so short, but I figured I’d post this much since I just started writing again. Please let me know what you think so far. Will have another post by next Saturday. I will also be working on Kagome’s purpose as well. So be expecting an update on both stories next weekend.

last time:

Out of nowhere a body just fell out of thin air. There in a fallen and bloody heap, lay an unconscious woman. This woman had black hair and was dressed in some type of short skirted school uniform. There was also a puddle of blood forming beneath her. This woman fell down between the detective and Koenma’s desk. She was huddled up to herself, and her hair covered her face. Giving no clue as to who she was. Her entrance left the entire room speechless.

The entire room went silent as they saw a body fall down from an invisible hole in the wall. It seems the shikon had a mind of its own, and brought Kagome to where it felt she should be.

“What the hell is that toddler!” Yusuke yelled at the confused toddler.

Koenma, looking confused could only stare at the unconscious body lying on the floor. He ignored Yusuke as he studied the body further, discovering that whoever it is, is badly injured and in serious need of medical attention.

“Quiet Yusuke, whoever this is needs medical attention.” Koenma snapped at Yusuke after hearing him rant and rave.

“Boton can you heal her?” Koenma asked a confused Boton.

Snapping to attention, Boton got into her serious mode. “Right away sir.” She said as she walked towards the girl and was immediately pushed back hard. She was pushed back so hard she made contact with the wall on the other side of the room.

The boys got immediately got into a defensive position, whatever or whoever pushed Boton must be strong.

“Stand down. I believe what we just witnessed was a defensive reaction from the girl. If you would pay close attention she is badly injured.” Koenma explained calmly.

Kurama was already assessing the situation along with Hiei. The female was actually a female demon. Half Kitsune and half dog demon. They were able to gather that she had been in a serious fight, and her aura was strong. Even unconscious as she is, she was able to defend herself.

“Koenma, we must find a way to treat her wounds. They are quite serious and must be treated or she will die.” He stated calmly. For some reason this female had gotten his attention. She was a mystery that he was more than willing to solve.

Unknown to Kurama, Koenma had been thinking along the same lines. “Kuwabara can you please approach her and see if she will let you near her.” The reason he picked Kuwabara was because out of the whole team, Kuwabara was the least threatening. He also had the highest spirit awareness.

“Right.” He said seriously and slowly approached the female. To his utter relief he wasn’t pushed back. As soon as he reached her he started treating her most serious wounds.

“Interesting, Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei, will you try and see if she’ll let you near her as well.” Koenma demanded.

Yusuke went first and was sent smashing into a wall, leaving behind an unconscious Yusuke and a huge dent. Kurama went next and he was very careful, but he only took one step into her direction and ended up right next to Yusuke. Hiei, the more cautious of the three, opened up his Jagan and tried to see into the girl only to fall into a heap on the ground. All three, it seemed, were repelled by the girl.

“Well that answers one question.” Koenma said to the quiet room. Boton was still unconscious as were Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei. The only one awake was Kuwabara.

“Kuwabara, would you please take her to the medical unit and please stay next to her as my physicians work on her. It seems none with demon energy can come near her.” Koenma said calmly.

This confused Kuwabara. “But then why was Boton affected?”

A sweat dropped off of Koenma forehead as he tried to figure that one out. Then he remembered. “Boton is ¼ demon. Now hurry up and take her.” He shouted out the last part.

“Yes sir!” Kuwabara said as he gently gathered her up in his arms and took her to the medical unit to be treated.

It was a long and tiring night. Koenma’s physicians worked tirelessly on her. Treating all her wounds. They could not believe that she actually managed to survive such devastating injuries. In the end, they did all they could. It was finally up to her. She would die or survive according to her desire to live.

Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei had long woken up. When they had finally awakened, they had angrily searched out the female. They wanted to get even with the girl for giving them all an awful headache. But the anger drained out of them when they found out that she was fighting for her life. They quickly started pacing and worrying about this female demon. They still didn’t know who she was, but for some reason they felt a connection towards this demon and wanted to make sure she lived.

Finally two days later, after hanging on by a thread, the girl finally opened her eyes. Only to scream as an ugly face greeted her eyes. The face staring right at her was a cross between Jaken and a hideous boar. The freaky looking demon was dressed in a physician’s labcoat.

“Calm down your safe now. I am Dr. Yamamoto, and I have been looking after you these last two days.” He managed to say in a soothing voice.

The girl instantly calmed down. She looked at the Doctor in confusion. “Where am I?”

“You are in the Medical Unit here in Spirit World.” The doctor informed her in a matter of fact tone of voice. “Can you please tell me your name Miss?”

“Oh right my name.” She said blushing. “My name is……….. My name is…….” She searched her mind, but it just kept eluding her. “I … I can’t remember my name.” She said in a horror struck voice.
