Summary:

Yoru Kaiser the youngest son of Atemu (Yami) Kaiser and Seto Kaiba decides at a young age that he wants to become a duelist like his fathers and older brother. Suddenly one day his brother decides to continue his studies of dueling around the world. Soon Yoru is admitted into Duel Academy were he meets a boy named Beryl Jasper. You entitles him as his Aniki and he discovers that Beryl holds deep secrets and powers that he’s never seen before.

A curtain was drawn open as the sun was rising over the horizon. “Today it begins.” a blonde haired boy said looking over his family estate. He turns away from the window to start getting ready for his journey.

Later that morning a smaller boy was sleeping peacefully when he heard a loud whistle blown. He quickly rolled out of bed onto the floor followed by his blankets and pillows.

“Otou-chan, do you have to blow that?” He asked sitting up pulling the blankets from his head revealing duo-hair.

“Well, I have to wake you up some how.” Seto said laughter in his voice.

“Maybe.” He said rubbing his eyes sleepily.

“Your going to duel academy for a visit today I thought you’d be more excited.” Seto said leaving the room.

Realization hit Yoru hard he quickly picked up his cover and start for the bathroom.

Seto walked down stairs and stopped in the doorway of the living room. Atemu was curtly watching a commercial about his up coming duel against Yugi.

He sighed softly before shutting the TV off. “I know you there inochi.” He said turning towards the doorway.

“I wasn’t trying to hide.” Seto said walking into the living room to stand behind the couch.

“I know but I like saying it.” Atemu said.

“Two months and then you duel Yugi.” Seto said looking down at him.

“Yes, something I’m looking forward to.” Atemu said looking up at him.

Seto walk around to the front of the couch to take a seat next to him.

Yoru came running down stair and hopped over the couch to sit in between them.

Atemu was a little shocked by it but dismayed it.

“Otou-san and Oji-san dueling it’s going to be great.” He said.

“I guess.” Seto said.

“Oh, let’s go now I want to get there before Yuji.” Yoru said excited.

Atemu put his hand on his forehead. “It’s too early for you to hyper.” He said.

“So.” Yoru said loving to mess with his father.

“Yoru, why don’t you eat breakfast first.” Seto said.

“Hai.” He said getting going to the dinning room.

Atemu lay down on the couch as soon as he left.

“He’s going to kill me soon.” he said in a huff.

“He imitates you.” Seto said laughing.

“Whatever.” Atemu said turning his eyes towards the TV.

On the other side of town, Yugi was standing in front of a mirror getting tying his tie. He heard footsteps and he peeked out his bedroom door.

“Yuji.” He called and Yuji froze in place.

“Hai?” He said.

“You should be almost ready to go.” He said.

“Hai.” Yugi said before going down stairs to get breakfast.

‘I’m not sure if he really wants to go.” Yugi thought worried.

He had finished what he was doing and proceed down stairs to the living room where Téa was waiting.

“Yuji not ready for this.’ Téa thought then glared at Yugi.

“What did I do now?” Yugi said taking a seat.

“Nothing.” She replied.

Yugi grabbed his jacket it and slipped it on. “I know your thinking Yuji’s not ready for this but he can’t live sheltered forever.” Yugi said fixing his jacket.

“I know.” She said agreeing.

She stood calling Yuji so the three of them could leave on time.

Yuji ran into the room slipping on his shoes and following his dad out the door.

At duel academy, Crawler stood waiting for the new students. A black limo pulls up and he gets excited. Roland ran around to hold the door open as Seto step out followed by Yoru and then Atemu.

“Mr. Kaiba and Mr. Kaiser.” Crawler said running over to both of them shaking their hands.

Yoru started to look around. ‘The famous place where Yuki Judai went.’ He thought.

“Yoru, let’s go.” Atemu called.

“Coming.” he said running to catch up. Crawler gave them the grand tour as the watched the other students get ready for the exam.

“Seto-kun. Onii-chan.” Atemu and Seto both turned around to see Yugi walking over. Yuji was hidden behind Téa. He the walked passed her over to Yoru.

“So, late as usually.” Atemu said teasing.

“I left on time, but got lost.” Yugi said. Sheepishly.

“Sounds like you.” Yugi heard someone say. He turned to see Joey walking over with my and his son.

Joey.” Yugi said happily haven’t seen him in nearly a year.

“Long time no see.” Tristan said from behind Seto and Atemu.

“Really didn’t see that long.” Atemu said.

“Still the same.” Mai said at his sarcasm.

Crawler heard his cell phone ring. He quickly pulled it out. “Umm . . . Mr. Kaiba please excuse me I have someone I need to greet.” He said bowing and quickly leaving.

“So hot shot I bet or some rich kid.” Joey said.

“Maybe.” Yugi said a little concerned as well.

“Don’t worry about it wheeler.” Tristan said putting his hand on his shoulder.

Outside Crawler saw a boy with blonde hair walking towards the building.

“Ah, Beryl jasper it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He said shaking his hand.

Beryl didn’t respond.

“Okay . . . Well then follow me and you can start your duel. I’m sure you would be happy to know that Seto Kaiba and Yugi Mutou are both here today.” He said trying to start a conversation.

Beryl, on the other hand seemed to be in his own world. Crawler sighed then give up. He took him to the dueling area to get his duel ready.

“Alright, student why don’t you go first.” A Duel Procter said.

Beryl drew a card.

“I’ll play the magic card Trade-in. I can send one level eight monster to the grave yard to draw two cards.” He said drawing two cards from his deck.

“I’ll set a card and end my turn.

“I’ll set a monster and one face down. Your turn.” He said.

Beryl drew.

“I’ll play the magic card Pot of Greed.” He said drawing two more cards.

“All this kid is doing is drawing cards.” Joey said.

“Most duelists that draw extra card are high on their strategies.” Atemu said slight amused.

“Really.” Joey said.

“Yeah, some duelist need the extra cards to win.” Yugi said.

“Huh?” Tristan said.

“Basically this kid is going for the kill this turn.” Seto said.

“I’ll active the magic card Heavy Storm to destroy all you magic can trap cards.” He said.

“Very good.” The Proctor said.

“Next I’ll play the magic card Foolish Burial to send a monster from my deck to the graveyard.” he said.

“Why world you do that?” The Proctor said confused.

“Next I’ll play the magic card Dark Hole which allows me to destroy all monsters on the field. I have no monster so this isn’t a cost to me.” He said.

“Alright, I’ll admit that getting the field open like that is impressive.” Joey said.

“Let’s see if he can win this duel.” Atemu said with a smirk.

Yoru looked at his father face and the down at the field.

“Finally I’ll play the magic card monster re-born to bring a monster back from my graveyard. Felgrand Dragon in attack mode.” He said

“That monster only has 2,800 attack points.” The proctor said.

“My monster special ability it gains attack points equal to x 200 per level of the monster in my graveyard.” Beryl said.

“So you don’t have any…Wait you played Foolish Burial.” He said.

“Right, my monster go up to 4,400 thanks to The Creator.” He said.

His monster then attack him directly winning him the duel. Beryl then walked away from the field.

“No way.” Yoru said shocked. He then heard Atemu whistle.

“Nice duel. I’m a little impressed.” He said.

“Yeah.” Yugi said.

“Damn, that kids going to be a force to duel with.” Joey said ruffling Joe’s hair.

“Right dad.” He said a little scared.

‘He’s way head of me.” Yoru thought his eyes widen with shock.
