Crossover Fan Fiction ❯ Ranma: Ascenion ❯ Chapter 1
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
It was a dark and cold night, young Ranma Saotome, age 6 was going in to a temple in Tibet. ‘Stupid Pops! Having me go in to get the scrolls, training HA! He just wanted me to trip the traps!’ He thought, so he moved out of the way of the traps and jumped over pits. The reason why the little boy was going through this hell was because his father had found out about the unrestricted fighting tournaments, so he amped up the torture by 10.
He enters a room with two pedestals and on them was a black. One had a golden tie while the other one had a silver tie. He was quick getting them and the pedestals were sliced to pieces. Ranma jumped away from them and sat back against the wall. ‘Who in the hell does he think I am, some gaijin, whip-wielding treasure hunter?’ He looked down at them and saw that they had a wax seal with a bat indentation on it.
‘What the hell. Since I got them and nearly got killed for them.’ Ranma opened them up, the first one was the silver one and he reads it. As he was, the energy from it started to flow in to him. Giving him the knowledge of its contents, afterwards he placed it down and reached for the other one. There was a golden flash and he had to squint to protect his eyes.
Greetings Child of Chaos,

The Chaos Dragon here by Grants to you the teaching of the way of the Shadow Dragon, the most noble of the dragon clans and his school. Also the gift of his dragon blood. As the Chaos Dragon return to its Supreme, so shall your abilities increase.
Until you are ready to accept your power, the Chaos Dragon hides this memory.
So it written.
Suddenly, a violet-blue aura explodes around him into a column of light. He lets out a silent scream as all of his injuries, from broken bones and lacerations are healed the falls to the ground unconscious as the Way of the Great Shadow Dragon is blasted into his mind and the blood of the Chaos Dragon is blasted in to his body.
The scrolls are destroyed and turned to dust; Genma came in and saw his unconscious son next to a pile of paper dust. “Stupid boy! All that work for nothing!” He said as if he did all of the work.
At the age of 7, Genma takes Ranma to the tomb of Neko-Yasha and seals it up. The Neko Ken was supposed to be the ultimate fighting style and Ranma would be unstoppable with it. The damned boy just wouldn’t learn it, it said for it to work he had to dug a deep pit, put starved cats in it, tie the boy up in fish sausages and toss him in it. But he got out, the boy’s unnatural healing ability and resistance to pain prevented the cats from harming him. He even got loose and fed the cats, plus he developed some sort of stealth ability that puts his own Umisenken to shame.
He dug the pit deeper, put in more cats but used less food. Then he sealed it with a huge bolder. About a couple of minutes later Ranma was out of the pit, untied and snacking on some fruit. Genma found out that Ranma had problems in supernatural and magical places. So he used chi and strength suppressing tsubos he found in an old scroll and tossed Ranma in the tomb with two drugged, bloody meat and two maddened rare snow cheetah/ tiger hybrids.
He even used a drug that would intensify the pain without allowing Ranma to pass out. The tomb was supposed to be the final resting place of a Neko-Yasha, a cat-demoness, who was also a very powerful sorceress, millenias ago. He found a weird mummified corpse in a silver coffin. He swiped the jewelry from it, threw the creepy thing back in the tomb, to scare the boy, he will learn the Neko Ken.
Ranma lay in a mix of snow cheetah-tiger and his own blood. He knows he’s dying and is glad he know that pain-suppression technique and disturbed at seeing that he’s missing half his left arm and right leg. Blood flows out slowly and not spurting, he knew he couldn’t ‘shadow walk’ out of the tomb. Many forces of magic were everywhere, at insane levels.
The danger was great; because of the drug Genma used was a stay awake stimulant with nova cane in it. Even shattering bones wouldn’t stop the crazed animals. All sanity had been removed from these once beautiful creatures. He had to kill the first hunger/ drugged maddened cat in a spray of gore that would haunt him in the afterlife. The blood soaking himself and the corpse next to him. He shudders remembering why they had called it ‘Hakuto no Ken’ in the manga.
The attack weakened himself allowing the other cat to maul him. He desperately used the last bit of his chi to deliver an instant kill blow to the other cat’s head just as it was about rip out his throat. Ranma knows Genma won’t save him this time. His vision fogs, he knew he was dying. ‘I’m sorry mom. I failed.’ Suddenly, there is a weird moaning, cracking and electrical sounds. Ranma turns his head to see but falls in to slumber.
The corpse of the Neko-Yasha was moving electrical ripples of red light go across the corpse’s form. She ignites into magical violet flames a distortion-like shockwave shoots from her. The shredded, bloody pieces of the first cat dissolve into mist and flow into her making her glow bright. The Neko-Yasha’s mummified form grows and started to change, decaying, ancient flesh turns into living tissue. Dry bones reform and become stronger, organs regenerate.
Her skin changes from old parchment to a silky dark tan and her old gray hair is replaced by a lush sable. With a gasp, two golden, oval-pupil eyes open as she gets up the dusty scraps of her clothing fell away. She was a vision of sensuality, Neko-Yasha turns and sees the small bloody boy, horrified and unable to move for a few moments she makes her move. ‘Bastet protect me! What monster would do this to a child? I have to save him!’ She runs over to where her coffin was and pulls out a talisman from a stone platform, thank the cat deities her capture didn’t know about the resurrection spells. ‘Please work!’
The talisman was a blue-violet crystal tiger detailed with gold stripes and spots. She places it on Ranma’s chest and beings to speak in an ancient language. The talisman hums and then glows violet. Particles of violet-white light swirl around them forming a complex pattern. She places her hands close to the talisman, violet mists of magic flow into it. ‘I need more! His life force is too weak and I’m not strong enough, yet. The tomb!’
She cries out with more of the chant, a shower of violet particles explodes from her into the walls, floor and ceiling. The cold stone walls, ceiling and floor, the entire ancient burial tomb crackle with violet energy. Colored mists of different energies flow into the talisman and Ranma. Blue chi, violet manna, white spirit, black demon and a green unknown energy. The second cat corpse dissolves into mist and goes into it as well.
Genma goes to pull of the lid to see if the boy learned to technique. There was a violent explosion and Genma is launched into the nearby woods and the stone lid followed him crushing him flat, two weeks later Genma’s body is found by a hunter.

Notes: I’m sorry I made it so dark at the end. But, I can’t stand Genma!
