A/N: For some odd reason, I'm obsessed with the word `emissary' right now. Well, here's my latest poem. I actually wrote it for my school newspaper. I was told I had to email it to the coordinator tonight and bring in a printed copy by tomorrow. Hey, it's a good thing I can sit down and tell myself to write a poem and just write it. He said preferably a happy poem, so that's why I didn't use one of my old ones.

Undying Hope

Emissary of the fading light

Savior of what used to be right

You try to remind us of way back when

But hardly anyone can remember then

Even still you continue to speak to us

With a voice filled with warmth, hope, and trust

Though you can't see it on the outside

Your words reach into places we can't hide

Reassuring and strengthening they always seem to be

You love everyone unconditionally

So don't think your efforts are in vain

A happier time you will see again
