The storm had passed, letting the sun illuminate a clear sky. The black-blue turned into various shades of lilac, before being tinged with a yellow and pink hue. A cloudless, azure sky appeared in the early hours. There was a loud banging on the door, making Cloud groan.

His glowing eyes looked at the other three occupants of the room. Krad's eyebrows were drawing in together; he would wake soon. Nanaki seemed rather content on ignoring the noise. Vincent, well, it was day time, so he wouldn't wake for anything.

Krad's eyes fluttered open, and he stared venomously at the door. `It's open!'

Cloud's eyes widened when the person entered the room. `Zack?!'

Zack's smile was warm. `Hey, Cloud! You look like you've just seen a ghost.'

`Oh, he has! You're a dead man! What in the world has possessed you to bang on the door, without remorse, and wake us up at this god-forsaken hour?' Krad was glaring daggers at the raven haired man.

`Hey, I thought everyone would be up and showered by now.' Zack's smile didn't falter.

`Oh, yeah. We all enjoy taking a shower at the crack of dawn! Is that your era as well?'

`Are you calling me old?' Zack lost his smile, staring coldly at the long haired blond.

`And an ape.'

Zack's eyes flashed. `You know, the only thing bigger than you're head, is your ego!'

`At least it isn't my ass.' Krad's remark held smugness. `Which, might I add, is bigger than Gaea!'

`You brat!'

`You shaven gorilla!'

`What the fuck is going on here?' Barret stood in the doorway, Zack having moved towards Krad's bed.

`This…behemoth was breaking down the door in the middle of the night!' Krad pointed accusingly at Zack.

`Why, princess, need your beauty sleep?' Zack stuck his point out.

Krad looked Zack up and down. `You could do with a large dosage of it.'

`You little - !'

`Zack.' Vincent had woken in time to have Krad leap from his bed, and onto his lap. `Since when did you pick on children?'

`Shaven gorilla.' Krad poked his tongue out at Zack, smirking.

Zack gave out a frustrated growl. `After the shit I just went through with Eryk, I don't need it here!'

`Who the hell has been shouting in here?' Sephiroth looked around the room, Cid behind him.

`He started it!' Krad and Zack pointed accusing fingers at the other. `Did not!'

Zack turned to Sephiroth. `He called me old!'

Krad pouted. `He called me egotistical!'

`He called me a shaven gorilla!'

`He called me a brat!'

`He said I - '

`Enough.' Vincent tenderly removed Krad from his lap. `You two are acting like children. Grow up, or take it else where.' Shaking his head, Vincent laid down.

Zack gave Krad a fierce look, before turning to leave. He stopped when he heard snickering. He looked down at Nanaki, who was still laying on Krad's bed. `What is so funny to you?'

` “Shaven gorilla”. You have to admit, that is a good one.' Nanaki stood, stretched, and stepped off the bed, looking at Zack.

Zack just left the room, not wanting to punch someone out. He pushed past Barret, Sephiroth, and Cid. He was not pleased that when he was half way down the hall, laughter erupted from the room. Shaking his head, Zack left the inn.

Around midday, while he was skipping rocks over the forever wavering surface of the ocean, Zack felt a tap on his shoulder. Glancing over it, he saw the small blond from this morning.

`Come to throw more insults at me?'

Krad shook his head, moving to stand adjacent to man. `No. Actually, I came out here to apologize for the way I acted. It was childish, and rude.'

Zack smiled. `With the way you were insulting me this morning, I'm surprised you made the first move.'

Krad punched Zack's upper arm. `We're having lunch at the inn, if you'd like to join us.'

`Sure. It'd be nice to be with the gang again.' Zack ruffled Krad's hair, getting a growl from the blond. `Thanks for the apology, kid.'

`Don't call me “kid”, you dork!' Krad walked up to the stairs with Zack, dashing up them.

They both entered the eating area of the inn together. They both sat on a side of Sephiroth, who cocked an eyebrow at the pair. `Dare we ask what happened?'

`I apologized.' Krad poked at his spinach salad.

`Hmm…' Sephiroth looked at Zack. `You mentioned something about Eryk having you?'

`Eryk? Does he have long blond hair and blue eyes?' Krad looked around Sephiroth, to stare intently into Zack's glowing orbs.

`Yep. He's quite the looker too…Until he started hacking away at my skin like it was going out of fashion.' Zack stood, pulling up his shirt to reveal his scarred torso.

Cloud frowned. `Krad, I thought you…You know to him?'

`Maybe someone helped him escape? I don't know. But now that he's loose, you know exactly where he's heading.' Krad left the room.

Sephiroth's eyes followed after him, but went back to Zack, who was smirking. `That your new one, eh? He's defiantly cute.'

Sephiroth glanced around at everyone, who left the room. `Why have you decided to show up now?'

Zack's eyes lowered. `Seph, we were engaged.'

`That doesn't answer my question. How did you know we were here?'

Zack laughed. `You left a note for Tifa, letting her know that if she wants to find you, you'd be in Costa Del Sol. You don't cover your tracks that well, Sephiroth.' He sighed, leaning back against the chair. `As to why I am here, I thought it would be nice to see everyone as soon as possible.'

Sephiroth's eyes hardened. He didn't want to ask, but had to know. `How did you escape?'

The air in the room suddenly became tense, as Zack's eyes grew cold. The warm spark within the cerulean depths diminished. `I would much rather not speak of it. I'd like it if we could only concentrate on the now, instead of the past.' With that, Zack stood, leaving.

Sephiroth watched his ex-fiancée leave the room. He had only seen Zack's eyes that cold when he was on a mission. Zack had always been so innocent while assassinating, which earnt him the nickname Innocent Assassin. For once, Sephiroth was uncertain on what to do. He didn't know if he should find Zack, and force the raven haired assassin to talk to him. But the coldness in his eyes told Sephiroth that he was more than just tortured.

`Don't run and hide, Zack. You know if you do, you allowed your fear to rule you.' Sephiroth stared at the entrance of the room.

Krad laughed, as he slapped water at Cloud. The night was rather tepid, and both blonds decided to make good of their vacation. For some time, they had been spending a lot of time together. Cloud was certain that Tifa thought there was something going on between them, even though there was no solid proof of them having a relationship. He supposed it was just difficult for people to grasp the fact they were only very close friends.

Vincent observed the two from the shore. He had noted lately that the two of them were closer than before. They were usually together, one way or another. They even fired the maid together, but claimed she “quit”. Vincent didn't want to know what else they would come up with. But since a year and a half ago, they had become partners in crime. Vincent admired that, yet couldn't fight the small streak of covetousness.

`Hey, Vincent! Stop staring and join us, huh?' Krad was moving towards the raven haired man. `Come join us.'

Vincent's eyes looked around Krad to Cloud, who was just staring blankly at the two. `I'd much rather sit here and keep an eye on you two, like I was told.'

Krad gave a frowning half smile, before shrugging and going back into the water. Cloud smirked, approaching Krad, and drawing the beautiful long haired blond into his arms. `You know he's only here to make sure we don't steal people's mail-boxes.'

Krad laughed again, wrapping his arms around Cloud's neck. `Well, at least they aren't complaining about putting dead fishes in them.'

Cloud's eyes met Vincent's, as he softly sucked and nipped Krad's neck, causing the golden blond to gasp. Cloud smirked to himself, slipping a hand up the white shirt Krad was wearing, to tease already taut nipples. `You know it is still your choice on how far we go, right?' Cloud breathed huskily into Krad's ear, nipping the shell.

`Not he-here though. In the hut.' Krad bit his lower lip, looking into Cloud's eyes with an innocent lust.

`Cloud.'

Cloud looked at Vincent, who was still standing on the shore, even Krad glanced over his shoulder. `Yes, Vincent?'

`If you are planning on doing what I think you are, then I suggest that you don't. Sephiroth told me to watch you two to keep you out of mischief and sexual activities.' Vincent adjusted his leather glove, before slowly raising his eyes.

Krad looked at Cloud, before looking at Vincent. `Well, if that's what you've been told to do, then just turn away. You cant get into trouble if you didn't see anything.'

Vincent's eyes hardened. `It is not that simple, Krad.'

Krad sighed, pulling away from Cloud. He walked out of the ocean. `You're really no fun,' he said as he walked past Vincent, to his towel.

Cloud also left the ocean, going to his towel. He dried his torso, he was shirtless, and hair. `Well, I'm turning in for the night. Till the morning.' Cloud walked up the stairs that led to the town, and went back to the inn.

Vincent looked at Krad, who was sitting on one of the chairs, gazing up at the stars. Vincent was suddenly captivated by Krad's beauty as the moon was revealed. The pale light danced over Krad's being, making the insipid skin glow, and the gold eyes twinkle, as they were suddenly trained on him.

`Vincent…' The word slid off Krad's tongue like silk over a steel pipe, sending a wave of lava straight to Vincent's groin. `…Stay with me.'

Vincent's body was betraying his mind, as he walked over to the blond. There was a virtuous look within bullion orbs, making Krad's true intentions unsure. `For the night?'

Krad's eyes lowered for a moment, before looking Vincent in the eye. `For as long as possible.'

Alright, and that is chapter three. In chapter four, Sephiroth will confront Zack. Here is a preview for the next chapter:

“Why do you hide, Zack?” Sephiroth's hand cupped Zack's cheek, as he looked into radiant eyes.
Zack's eyes lowered, hiding the shame and hurt. “I do not hide, Sephiroth.”
Sephiroth's hand moved down to Zack's chin, tipping it up. “You are running from something, Zack. I want to know what it is. Was it something Eryk did to you?”
Tears sprung to Zack's eyes. Three years he had held in the pain. Three years he had refused to let them fall. Three fucking years. Not caring about his pride, or the need to be strong, Zack buried his face into Sephiroth's chest, allowing the salty liquid to fall freely.
Sephiroth wrapped his arms around Zack. “You can tell me, Zack.”
Through his sobs, Zack managed to get a sentence out. “That bastard fucking raped me!”

And I will try to get it up as soon as possible, since I know how much people are enjoying this story! *sarcasm* But on that note, I would like to thank Ardwynna Morrigu for that wonderful review. Yes, the sequences are going too fast, and next chapter will have an insight on what happened to Zack. ^^ Ciao.
