D. N. Angel Fan Fiction ❯ Angelic Chains ❯ School ( Chapter 1 )

`Well, I might find someone here.' Dove, 1 square mile. That's what the dark sign standing in front of me read.
`Yah ok sure like I'll find someone here, all well, its worth a try. Ok the best place to start is the school.' Lately I've only been able to last a few hours with out another persons life force supporting me. Slowly the school crossed into my line of vision.
`Ok, how do I sneak into this one' My thoughts barely registered in my mind as I slung my pack over my shoulder. `Oh I know. I'll pull as a parent that is always working. There, the guidance office.' Slowly She walked up to the double doors and rang the buzzer.

In a cramped, office, and middle aged man sat behind a desk staring at multiple pieces of paper.
“Well Naomi. Do you know why you are here” The had graying brown hair, and was wearing a shabby sweater.
“Oh, god don't play dumb. Obviously. Duh I'm the one who did it.” The girl sat slouched in the chair, her waist dark chocolate length hair spread about her. She wore a white polo t-shirt and a skirt that ended about and inch or two above the knee. The shirt covered half of the skirt, it was a bit too large.
“So why?” The man peered up at her through his glasses.
“Why what?” She continued to stare out the window.
The man sighed. “Why did you hit him?”
“He told me to. Well not exactly…”
“What did he say then?” The man placed the papers on the desk.
“Why should I tell you? My parents don't like second hand information, and I don't think my psychologists needs to worry or waste time on such an idiotic matter. So if you don't mind, I'm late for a nap. Good bye.” She stood up and waltzed out the door heading towards the double doors. A girl with short white hair was being dragged into the office. The girl was wearing a black shirt that was about the same height at hers. And a tank top, but that was white, and to top the ensemble off, a pair of wore grey Vans. Might as well go save the girl, this school has killed enough minds for the day. She jogged into the office.

“Are you living by yourself?” The attendant jumped at her. Nothing had gone as planned. Instead of posing as a parent, she was a `new student'. She was far from a teenager, but she could pass as one if given the choice.
`Think fast!!' She thought to herself.
“Yes, my parents are away, in Europe. They are researchers. They examine old treasure and artifact of value.” Her voice came out smooth, like silk. Her senses started to scream at her when a source of power appeared behind her. It was like the girl and her brother. She had gone back to the brother when he was older, but he was dead. He'd killed himself after his sister's death. As long as this person wasn't attacking, they weren't an enemy. Daintily, she placed her hand on the book the woman was flipping through, stopping her just as she was turning a page.
“I haven't any of my papers. The reason I moved was that, there was a fire. It burned everything. All I have left is this pack, and some money for rent. My parents don't know where I am. So, maybe I could just tell you all my information, and you just write it down.” The woman peered up at her. `This would be so much easier if it was a guy' she thought to herself. The attendant and her locked eyes for a minute, and her eyes glowed a soft lazy green color, and then dulled back down to their natural hazel.
“Uh, Ok. Come with me.” The lady took her by the elbow and dragged her into the office. The person with the power watched the exchange. She could feel eyes on the back of her head. The person walked towards her, but the woman was faster, and pulled her around adesk and into a spacy office. She left the door open.
“Just fill out this form and I'll be right back.” The form was actually two pages long.
The lady wobbled off, and was talking to the person.

Those were the basics. The rest of the sheet was asking for sicknesses, grade point average, cell or house phone number, ect. I stood, counting how many steps it took o the front desk. Placing the paper on it I looked up. And there, standing there was the source of the power. A short, petit girl of maybe 5'3 with bright blue eyes and dark chocolate brown hair. This was the one. As Dark had once found a family of men strong enough to support him, this was the girl. I was interrupted by the lady, whom in my absence was handing me a school uniform. I stared at it for a few seconds before a question pooped into my head.
“Don't I have to pay for this?” She smiled, a kind and serene smile.
“Just take it, it should fit you fine. It was an extra. Now go change. Your starting today.” She pointed to a bathroom, and smiled again. I said thank you, went and picked up my bag, and walked into the bathroom.

“Who is that?” I heard whisper. I'd just walked into the lunch room after getting a makeshift schedule. I had to wait a few days before mine was ready. The skirt was a little shorter on me then most of the girl. It came about three inches high of my knee, but you couldn't tell unless you really looked. The t-shirt I was given was too big so I was wearing a black giny Tee. It went nice with the black and white checkered skirt and it complemented my skin. When I was really low on energy my skin is translucent. When I have a lot of energy, it's a tan-ish color. Right now I could barely stand, so my skin was about as pale as a dragon lily. A room full of teenagers turned to stare. I turned gracefully on my heel, marching through the little walk way provided to enter the kitchen. Some murmurs started. When I had been in high school, it was a killer. Teenage boys and their hormones could really get to a girl. Living for about 100 years has taught many things. One of being NEVER GO BACK!! I'm like a magnet for rapists, and pedophiles. I took a tray, place on it a cup of fruit, a salad and an iced tea. The woman at the cash register just waved me off when I asked how much. As I stepped back into the cafeteria the words `NEW', `GIRL', and `HOT' rang out among others. This was going to be a long day.

“Your name is TerraSistine right? That's a weird name.” The boy who stood in front of her desk was tall with dark tan skin and blonde hair. His blue eyes stood out against his skin. He didn't even let her respond. `Bet he's a jock' rang about her thoughts.
“My name is Brenden, Brenden Jakes. I'm Captain of the swimming and soccer club. I…” He stopped mid sentence when he saw her eyes elsewhere. `Bingo!'
“You can call me Sistine. My name is too long to be called by everyone.” She met his gaze and charmed him with a soft smile. He wasn't to bad looking, if she was in the market she'd say yes to the date he was asking for right now.
“…So, maybe he could go out to the Diner some time, or maybe a movie.” He had a cool streak in his eye, as if he was expecting her to say yes.
“Sorry. I'm not really dating right now.” She turned her face towards the clock. `three hours left. Come on clock move faster.' She nodded a maybe to him when he said maybe next time. `I have gym, chemistry, and physiology left.'
“You know staring at the clock won't make it move faster.” The girl next to her eyed her when she didn't even start at her sudden presence.
“I guess I'm just really tired, and I want to go home.” She dazed off again. `Yah, home would be nice. I wonder if he misses me as much as I do him. The girl next to her was the girl from this morning. `Might as well get this over with'
“Hi. My name is TerraSistine White Water. And you're the only person who can save me.”
