Chapter 2: “A Silent Flight”

"Bye mom! Bye dad! Bye Wiz! Bye grandpa!"

"Bye Daisuke! Have a fun trip in France!"

We were at the airport, and I was waving good bye to my small, but loving family for two whole weeks! After that, I turned around and started to make my way to gateway 4. That's where my school is waiting. Upon arriving, I realized I had made it just ten minutes prior to boarding, thank goodness. I overslept...once again, so I was worried that I would be late. I looked around for a place to sit, and surprisingly, there was one next to Satoshi! I hesitantly walked over to him and sat down, "Morning, Hiwatari-san!"

"Good morning," he gave me a small smile, before looking away.

Does he feel that uncomfortable around me, or is it that he doesn't like me very much? My heart shattered at the thought, so even if he really does, I try to avoid the thought. "So, what's your seat number?"

He glanced at his ticket, then said, "B36, and you?"

"B38! Wow! We have seats next to each other!"

That was the best news that I've received all morning! First I'm able to share a room with him, and now I'm sitting next to him on the airplane!

(It must be fate.)

Dark, don't start again.

(I know you like him.)

So what.

(So you admit it! HA! You like creepy boy! Wait, you don't like Krad too, right?)

No.

(Good. I think I'm done harassing you. So, I'll leave you alone...for now.)

It's about time. "So, we have the seats next to each other. Isn't that awesome!?"

"An odd coincidence, if you ask me."

There was a small ring from the monitor and then it announced, "Attention all travelers. We are now boarding for Paris."

"Come on, Hiwatari-san. Let's go find our seats."

I reached out my hand to him, but he refused me. I guess it's only natural that he wouldn't take my hand. I walked along side him, but I tried not to get too close, despite my will to reach out and grab his vulnerable, swaying hand.

The plane wasn't very big inside, but it was complex. We quickly found our seats, and surprisingly, I had a window seat! A window on one side! Hiwatari on the other! Could it get any better?! I took my seat after stuffing my bag into the over head compartment, and Hiwatari sat down next to me. "I'm so excited! This is my first time in a plane!"

"Is that so? Well, I've ridden in planes many times prior to this."

"Wow! That' awesome, Hiwatari-san!"

"Aww, Hiwatari, you're in Daisuke's seat."

"Riku?" We said at once.

"But my ticket says I'm to sit here," he said.

"Yeah, I know. I actually sit here, next to you, but do you mind switching seats with Daisuke? Please. I want to sit next to my boyfriend."

I, even from the corner of his eye, could tell that he was giving her a cold glare. I could only imagine that he must really not want to sit next to two love birds. But as Riku sat down next to Satoshi, it clicked. I'm not sure where, but somewhere deep down inside, I felt this contracting of my muscles, then a bit a rage. Maybe jealousy? But why? Is it because I don't want her to sit next to Satoshi? Taking in a deep breath, I said, "I'm sure that you don't want to sit next to Riku (who would), so why don't we just trade seats? You'll have a window seat."

Without saying anything, he got up and so did I. Then I lightly brushed my body against him and felt an electric shock surge through me as we traded seats, and to tell the truth, I was happy because I didn't have to share him with anyone else.

(Satoshi's POV)

Honestly, I really didn't want to trade seats. Although I knew that Daisuke wasn't someone I could call mine, I didn't want to share him with someone else, especially Riku. I don't know why I always give into him. It must be that smile. However, now that I have the corner seat, it'll be easier for him to ignore me. Knowing Riku, she'll hog him all to herself. But if I did sit in between them, they would constantly be leaning over my lap to talk, ignoring me, and I feel that would hurt more, because they would be right in front of me. At least here, I can pretend that they aren't there; making it easier for me to ignore them. I sighed as the seat belt sign came on, and the plane began to move.

About five hours later, almost everyone had fallen asleep, including Riku and Daisuke. I hated the way she was resting her head on Daisuke's shoulder, while he relaxed against the seat. But I quickly cut her out of the picture as I admired Daisuke's slightly parted lips. I watched him for a little longer, until something caused him to bit his lower lip. "Umn..."

Did I just do that?!

(Unable to contain yourself, Satoshi?)

Shut up, Krad! Like you can!

(Don't think that I didn't hear that low moan. I know what you are fantasizing about.)

It wasn't anything bad.

(No, but you long to feel those lips again.)

I wouldn't call giving C.P.R. a real kiss.

(But I know you liked it nonetheless.)

Go back to sleep.

I waited for a while, and when Krad didn't respond, I slowly moved my hand over Niwa's face, touching his cheek lightly, then with my thumb, I slowly traced his pink lips, until he licked his lips, and turned his head away, "...ummnn..."

I allowed my hand to wonder down his neck when he didn't awake. I just wanted to feel his skin while I could; the skin that only Riku could kiss, the skin that I longed to touch. “Daisuke, if I could without feeling the guilt, I would kiss you right here and now,” I whispered into his ear.

I dropped my hand with grief. I would never be able to call him mine; it's pointless to even wish for such a thing. I turned my head away from him, and dozed off into a light sleep.

(Daisuke's POV)

A sudden bump along the flight caused my sleep to come to an end. Fluttering my eyes open for a few seconds, I noticed that Riku had fallen asleep on my shoulder. She looked peaceful enough. I looked around and from the silence I guessed that everyone must have fallen asleep. I turned my head to the right, to find a sleeping Satoshi. (Aww. He looks so cute.)

Yes, I won't deny that. He did look cute… in a sexy sort of way.

(Aww. I knew you thought so.)

Be quiet. I want sometime to admire him while he sleeps.

(Fine by me. But don't get too excited. Or I might just have to drop in on everyone.)

I won't, Dark.

Dark's voice faded from my mind as I slowly leaned down towards Satoshi. I could feel Riku sliding down my left arm, so I pushed her back to relax against her seat. Now, back to Satoshi. Turning around again, I first admired his sleepiness. He looked so innocent, like an unsullied angel. "That's what you are."

Taking my thumb, I slowly traced his pale lips, but I must have tickled him, because he pulled away. “Oh, Satoshi…,” I rested my head on his chest. "So warm...," I whispered to myself.

I allowed my left hand to gracefully move along his right arm, then I grasped a hold of the hand that denied me earlier. I then moved closer, curling up to him, guiding his head so it would rest over mine. “I love you, Satoshi. I wouldn't have gone on this trip, if you didn't go. So, that's why I want to spend as much time with you as possible, because, after all, we only have two weeks...starting now,” I dared to say.

(Satoshi's POV)

This time I didn't wake up to a bump, but to a blissful scent of cinnamon. I opened my eyes, inhaling more of that sweet scent as I did. (Look down, Satoshi,) Krad whispered.

"Huh?"

I looked down to see that I was resting on Daisuke's precious head! But what really surprised me was that he was resting against my chest. (Now, don't get too excited.)

Shut up Krad.

After silencing him, I ran my hand through Daisuke's baby, soft hair, making the sweet scent of my beloved roam like crazy! Using my other arm, I hooked it around his waist to bring him closer to me, and away from Riku. It's been so long since I've wished to hold him like this. (Are you just going to hold him?)

What more could I do? I didn't want to seduce him while he slept. What if he awoke? He would never let me near him again! And, I know I couldn't live with that. If he was ever to distance himself from me, I know for sure that I would suffer a broken heart. I held onto Daisuke tighter; feeling the jealousy that only so few others could hold him like this. I wanted to hold him, but not only while he sleeps, but all at the same time, I didn't want to give him a reason to suspect my love for him.

Feeling him stirring, I pulled away. He slowly opened one eye, then closed it. However, he was still resting against my chest, but didn't seem to mind. After a few seconds, he raised his head, and rubbed his sleepy eyes. He looked so adorable, "Niwa?"

"Ohm..., sorry about that, Hiwatari-san."

He stretched out a bit, then he stared out the window. His eyes suddenly grew to the size of two golf balls, "Look! It's the Eiffel Tower!"

Author's Note: Yeah! They're in Paris, but that's not where they will be staying. Remember, Paris isn't close to the beach, and I did mention that they were staying in a beach hotel. Thanks for reading the second chapter ^^
