Chapter 14: “A Malign Angel”

While seated beside Riku, Risa stroked her sister's hand and hummed a gentle tune. Though it had only been a few days, Risa felt it's been an eternity since Riku was brought here. “Don't you miss our men?” She asked her sister.

Riku couldn't respond. “I know! Why don't I bring them here?” Suggested Risa, “And I haven't seen my Satoshi for ages and you haven't seen your Daisuke for a while too.”

Riku merely turned her head to Risa as if looking for the source of all the noise, “No? Is that what you mean? Or yes?”

Risa's words were just noises that disturbed Riku's solitude. “Ok, then. I'll go get our men!” Risa jumped up and headed for the door, “So prepare!” with that, she left.

“Dai…suke?” Riku mumbled to herself once the room was emptied of all sound.

(In the hotel room)

At the moment, there wasn't a thing in the world that could disrupt the tranquility between the sleeping Satoshi and Daisuke. Their bodies, since last night, have remained intertwined with one another's keeping the heat between them everlasting and blissful. It wasn't until a bird chirped outside did Daisuke finally stir.

(Daisuke's POV)

“Why do birds get up so early?” I asked myself before I decided to take a peak over Satoshi's shoulder. “Why didn't he close the curtains all the way? Does he want someone to see us?” I would have gotten up to close them myself, if it wasn't for Satoshi's limbs which clung onto me and bounded me to him and the bed. “Satoshi,” I whispered to him.

He fluttered his left eye open for just a few moments before he faded back into darkness. “Satoshi, get up!”

He shook his head and pulled my closer. “You can't sleep all day.”

“Just try me,” he mumbled.

“Well, I know what will wake you up,” I thought to myself. I leaned in closer to him and gently bit down on his ear. For a second, there seemed not to be a reaction, but then his eyes opened and narrowed at me. “How can you possibly be this playful this early in the morning?” he asked.

I have my ways,” I giggled.

“Do I really have to get up?” he asked in a whiny voice.

“Yes, and while you're at it, make me breakfast,” I demanded.

“We could just go out. Wouldn't you prefer a freshly made gourmet French breakfast instead of instant hash browns?”

The mere thought made me grimace, “Eww….”

“Just pick up that phone and dial the room service number. But don't move too fast, or you'll get a shocking surprise.”

“A shocking surprise? What does he mean by that?” I was about to turn myself around, but then there was a rude knock at the door. Satoshi's eyes flung open once again and he sat up. “Sato?”

(Satoshi's POV)

I would usually ignore knocking on the door during such an occasion, but my guts were tight and my conscious, edge. I held still to see what would happen next; hoping that whatever was at the door would just go away, but it didn't. The same person knocked and the bell rung twice. “Sato?”

My eyes glanced at Daisuke who was giving me this worried expression and the door. “Stay here,” I whispered to him, “I'll be back momentarily.”

I pulled the blankets off my body and grabbed the robe hanging from the rack. I could sense that Daisuke's eyes were on me, and before I opened the door to the bedroom, I turned to see him giving be a fervent stare, “If you continue to look at me that way, I may forget all about the intruder.”

This only increased Daisuke's obsequious attitude. I shook my head and slipped out of the room. The ringing became more desperate as I approached the door, and then Krad's voice echoed in my mind.

I wouldn't answer that if I were you.

“Who do you think it is?”

Only one person would actually take the time to track you down on a day such as this.

“Don't jinx me.”

Too late.

I encircled the door's knob with my hand and slowly unlocked it. I wasn't eager to find out who it was, but I was praying it wasn't who I thought it was. My prayers weren't answered, and on the other side stood the last person I needed to see, “Morning, Risa. What are you doing here?”

She yawned for a second as if not interested in what I was saying, or perhaps she was just pretending not to be interested in me. Whichever, I didn't care. “What took you so long?” she asked while examining her nails.

“You just woke me up.”

“So late? This isn't like you to wake up around eleven. What were you doing last night that you couldn't visit me?” as if it was any of her business.

“I had pervious engagements.”

“What could be more important than me?” A lot of things. I just hate the conceded individuals.

Such as Dark? Asked Krad.

No answer came from me. “So, are you going to invite me in?” She asked.

“That's not a good idea,” I said.

Now she was suspicious. “Why?” she was trying to look over my shoulder.

“Because it isn't.”

She looked directly into my eyes, “Are you trying to hide something from me? Is there someone else in there?”

I shook my head. There are times when lying is ok, and this one was a perfect example. “Well,” she looked at my robe, and I backed up, “Then why are you wearing a robe?” Why aren't you wearing pajamas?”

“I am under the robe.”

“It's not cold. The summer warmth is still present, Satoshi.”

“I know, but I didn't want to present myself in pajamas.”

She ran her hands over my shoulders, “Then why don't you remove the robe?” she asked in a seductive voice.

“Because I like my robe,” a pathetic comeback.

Suddenly, she latched onto my robe, and desperately tried to remove it, “Stop it!” I demanded while trying to restrain her arms.

“If you are clothed under there then there would be nothing to hide from me!!”

“It's a matter of decency!”

“What were you doing last night?”

“That's none of your business.”

She tore away from me and ran towards the bedroom where Daisuke was. “Stop!” I yelled at her.

“You were sleeping with someone and I'll prove it!” She kicked the door and it flung open. My eyes widened as she stared directly at Daisuke who sat sitting up in bed staring back at her. ”Daisuke?” she muttered.

“Risa, I can explain!” he cried.

“Please don't tell me this is what I think it is!” she clenched her head with her hands as she scanned our clothes thrown around the room.

“Risa!” I tried to call out to her.

“You're sleeping with Daisuke?!”

“No, Risa!” Daisuke cried.

“You're sleeping with another man? My sister's boyfriend?”

“Risa, let me explain,” I cried out.

“You guys are fags!”

Ouch, Now you aren't going to let her get away with that, are you? Asked Krad.

“I'll report you to the advisors. This is immoral! What you guys are doing is a sin! Men aren't suppose to be with other men!”

“But we're happy this way,” Daisuke mumbled.

“Then it's true?” she sounded sicken, “Were you guys seeing one another behind our backs?!”

“I broke up with Riku!” said Daisuke.

“Our monitors will hear about this, and so will your parents!”

Risa ran out of the room as fast as she could. I turned to Daisuke who was whipping away his tears, “Satoshi, they are gonna find out about us… and we'll… never be able to see each other again! My mom will never allow this to be!”

“Daisuke…”

“We shouldn't have done it last night! We shouldn't have!”

I ran to his side, “Then do you regret what we did?” I took his shaking body into my arms.

“I don't know…,” he held me tightly.

“Listen, we have to erase the evidence,” I slowly picked him up in my arms as carefully as I could, but he still withered and moaned in pain.

“It stings!” he cried.

“I know,” I took him into the bathroom, and gently placed him in the center of the tub, “Now, let's get you cleaned up.”

I turned on the faucet and adjusted it so that the water would not burn nor freeze Daisuke, then I returned to the bedroom. I removed the covers and saw our evidence on the sheets. “Damn it.”

I ripped the sheets off the bed and went out into the halls. I saw the hotel maid coming down the hall and so I waved to her. “Will you please change our sheets?”

“Of course,” she replied.

Let me out! Cried the beast within.

She came in and did as she was told while I tended to the one that needed me the most. The bathtub was about half full and Daisuke looked like was just shot. “Does it hurt that much?” I asked as I came to his side.

I'm telling you, you need to free me!

“Shouldn't we be leaving? They'll be back in a short while.”

You're wasting precious time, Satoshi!

“Just wash yourself as quickly as possible. And don't worry. I won't let them take you away from me. Especially since you are finally mine.”

They will if you don't hurry!

“Aishiteru,” he whispered.

“Sir, I've just finished changing the bed!”

“Thank you.”

I was about to leave the bathroom before Daisuke suddenly grabbed my arm, “Dark wants me to release him so he could go after Risa.”

“It's the same with Krad.”

“What should I do?” asked Daisuke.

Release me, Satoshi! Damn it! Why don't you ever listen to me?!

“Your physical condition wouldn't allow it. As much as I hate to say this, I'm going to unleash Krad. I just hope he doesn't do anything too reckless.”

“Satoshi, he's the angel of sadism. How can you say that Krad won't do anything reckless?”

“Because now I have a leash on him, and I can pull him back whenever I please.”

“Shall I wait here?” Daisuke folded his legs against his torso and wrapped his arms around his ankles.

“Yes,” my last word was a mix of my voice and Krad's.

I leant down to steal one last kiss before Krad completely overtook my body. “I'll be back soon.”

I exited the bathroom and closed the door to give Daisuke his privacy, and then I locked the room door to keep anyone from entering. “I hope Risa doesn't run that fast.”

I then opened one window and before I stepped out, I allowed Krad to take me. It was as if I could hear the rattling chains snapping apart and then the expansion of wings. It was like I could feel the feathery light touches on the inside of my body, and soon after a body that was too big to be contained within myself. I could feel my scapulas ripping through my flesh and even soft graces of Krad's wings stung like stinging needles. They swathed themselves around me like white blankets stained in blood, and my once cerulean blue hair colored itself gold and grew. The world around me fainted as Krad looked through my eyes.

(Author's POV)

The angel stretched his wings and extended his arms into the air as if to reach for something that was way out of reach. “Now, this is more like it.”

“You have a job to do, Krad. I didn't allow you to take control so you could just stretch your wings!”

“Right, right. I'm on it. Just give me a sec. It's been a while since I've been allowed this privilege.”

“I'm going to warn you now, Krad. If you even think about repeating the same action as you did before, I'll never let you out again for as long as your manifestation dwells within myself.”

“Say no more. This sadistic and corrupted angel isn't going to do anything that would be regretted.”

Get a move on!”

“Stop ordering me around. I know what I am doing.”

Krad flexed his wings as he prepared for flight, and once he felt that he had stretched his muscles out, he took off into the sky. “Isn't it a little risky to be flying at this time of the day?”

“Shit.”

“You are just lucky that I can see from all the way up in the clouds,” Krad continued his ascension until the clouds hid him from the prying eyes.

“Do you see her?”

“Oh, do I ever,” folding his wings adjacent to his body, Krad plummeted straight down from the clouds and into the alley where Risa was running, “No wonder she is so slow. She's wearing stilettos. Dumb ass.”

Risa was about to make a turn into another alley, thinking she was taking a shortcut, but instead she ran straight into a malicious angel. She rammed her nose into his chest, and then fell backwards. “Sorry,” she said without looking up, “I am in a hurry and I didn't see you,” she finally looked up and gasped at the sight, “Wait… have we met before?”

“I've never met someone that could forget someone like me so quickly. Especially when someone as malign as me nearly killed your sister.”

“You're the angel!” Risa took a good look at Krad and then his wings, “But… how could someone as beautiful as you be so…. Evil?”

“There she goes again with her stupid remarks.”

“Beauty is deceiving,” Krad chuckled.

Risa was about to make a run for it, but it only took Krad a quick moment to pull out one of those all powerful feathers and cast a spell. Instantly, a chain covered in thorns came out of the feather and constricted Risa. She fell down and the thorns tore through her skin. “Ahhh!” she cried out in pain and it aroused the lust in Krad's sadistic mind.

“Yes, scream. Scream like those thorns are burning your flesh from the inside out. I want to hear that flesh sizzling.”

The mere thought of sizzling flesh made Krad drool. He ran his finger over the feather, and in an instant, those thorns were plated with iron; a burning hot iron that fried liquid in an instant. “Why are you doing this?!” Risa cried out.

“Self-pleasure,” said the angel, “And to bribe you.”

“I'll do anything!” her cries were desperate.

“That's what I like to hear,” the angel snapped his fingers and the chains vanished.

However, it were the thorns that held most of the blood in, and once off, the blood pored freely from the open wounds around her punctured body. Krad took a good look at the conditions Risa was in, and then it hit him. He had over done it once again. “Krad, you imbecile!”

Krad vanished and Satoshi took his place, “Risa!” he ran over to her, but once he reached her, he realized what a fragile position she was in, “Risa? Can you hear me? Are you alive?”

There was no answer, and he couldn't shake her. “Damn it, Krad!”

Opps, I did it again.

“You idiot!” Satoshi shook his head, “I can't reverse death!”

“I think it came from over there! Quickly! This way!”

Satoshi looked up. There were people coming towards him, and he had only one direction to run. He turned around to make the attempt, but then he heard someone yell out to him from above, “Don't even attempt to run, boy! I got everything on tape!”

Satoshi looked up and saw an old man with a camcorder in his hand. “What happened here?”

Satoshi turned around to see two cops and a group of people staring at him. They had him, and he couldn't escape. “Get down on your knees and freeze!” ordered one of the cops.

“But I..”

“You have the right to remain silent!” the other cop pointed his gun towards Satoshi.

Satoshi got down on his knees and then placed his hands over his head. “Damn you, Krad!”

You're the commander of the police force. Just show them your badge.

“If I am accused of murder, that can't even help me!”

Oh well.

One cop came to examine the body, and when he realized it was a dead body, he pulled out his radio and reported, “We found a dead body and a possibly suspect.”

“He's guilty!” cried the old man from above, “I got it all on tape!”

“Cross that. We found the murder,” the cop handed the other cop his radio and approached Satoshi; pulling his handcuffs out and he did, “Now, I don't want any trouble,” he cuffed Satoshi's hands, “I will have to ask you to come with us.”
