My wings

Spread out behind me

Blackest in the black night.

 

I leap upwards

And fly

Towards where you may be.

 

You put me through

So much pain

Leaving

Not saying goodbye.

 

The last time

I saw you

We smiled

Talked

I know

For that is forever engraved

In my mind.

 

Now

By night

I spread my wings

In search of you.

 

Tonight

I'll go the farthest

Look the longest.

 

For tomorrow

It will be too late

You will then be

Forever out of my reach.

 

For by tomorrow

If you do not meet

The one who loves you

You will not survive.

 

So tonight

As I search

Do not run

Do not hide

For I must find you.

 

As I look

I spot a lone figure

Traveling the streets.

 

You look at me

And I know

That at long last

I have found you.

 

We rejoice silently

Glad to be together

Once again.

 

So now

Know you can survive

The darkest

For I will always

Be here.
