Chapter 7

-Confusion and Interest-

Riku sighed as she danced the last two dances by herself, the party bash had started 15 minutes ago and a few people from their High-school were now there and looking for them, well mostly Satoshi's fan girls and Daisuke's friends…

Just where had they gone?

Riku sat back down at the bar and her brow curved in worry…her hands to her lips. She lifted her head up to see that, not only was her whole school here, but other people from before like that Nati guy, who was currently dancing with Risa.

Riku was beginning to get pissed off as she ordered another drink and gulped it down, the liquid burning down her throat, sure she was to young to drink but, it wasn't like the bar people here really cared.

Where had Satoshi taken Daisuke?

Riku crumpled her small face up, as she hand crunched the glass, the beer wasn't very sweet, she sighed loudly and rubbed her ears with her free hand, they had popped due to the pulsating beat of this new song…

She watched her sister flirt with this `Nati' character and lifted a brow, feeling a slight tang of jealousy…

--

Daisuke's eyes fluttered open as he rolled over on his side, the covers ruffling as he moved his arms and looked at Satoshi who was now sitting up rubbing his eyes.

“Satoshi…?”

Satoshi seemed to jump at the voice and he looked over with his watery pools, his pale elegant hair dripping over his ears. He smiled when Daisuke was giving him his huge bright cheery grin and lifted an arm to touch his cheek lovingly, the skin was so smooth.

Daisuke closed his eyes and pushed his cheek more into the warmth of the back of the fingers. Satoshi pulled them away hesitantly and got up off the bed bending down to see where his clothes had gone. He gathered his belongings and grasped Daisuke's, his fingers curling over the denim jeans as he placed them down on the bed near the red head.

“Come on, we should hurry and get back…”

Daisuke only groaned and rolled onto his back, his lips giving a full pout.

“Aw, but, I don't want too…” Daisuke teased half heartedly, as he sat up and rubbed his eyes, he really, really, didn't want to…he groaned again and grasped his clothing, the belt jingling as he flomped out of the bed, he continued to get dressed, as Satoshi was almost finished and then hurriedly followed Satoshi out the door to get cleaned up as they both headed for the hallway of doors.

Then they both went to clean up in the washroom.

--

Satoshi and Daisuke came out from the halls of doors, to have the music boom back into their ears.

Daisuke groaned and was grasped by the hand as they walked out into the field of dancers. They pushed through more of the people together hand in hand, Satoshi's hand never loosening on Daisuke's as he lead them back to the bar stool to now see Riku, who was looking worried, her brows curved in troubling confusion and her slender hand curled at her chin, with her fingers patting at her lips.

They were off the meadow of the dance floor and just staring at Daisuke's girlfriend.

Satoshi didn't know what was to happen next…maybe he was just needed to get the ache out of Daisuke… and would be cased aside once more, but, he knew better then to think that. Satoshi knew Daisuke didn't want to come back here and was stalling as much as possible…Satoshi knew that Daisuke loved him, but he also knew he loved Riku…

-Jealousy-

Satoshi let go of the warm hand he had protected and shoved his own hands in his pockets, looking to all the dancers, the lights beamed on them and they all swayed in a varnished mind of pleasure and excitement. Daisuke looked up, frowning at the loss of the hand and understood.

“Sato…I wouldn't have done what I just did with you if I didn't plan to break Riku off…” He said looking up to Satoshi and his head close to his ear so that he could hear him. Satoshi bit his lip and sighed looking back at gleaming red rubies. “Thank you Daisuke.” He grinned and leaned his face in; his nose touching with Daisuke's who giggled cutely.

Riku then looked over to the two people she had been waiting for, for the last 30 minutes and huffed, hopping off of the bar stool her `hooker' boots clicking on the shining black floor. She then was about to yell to the both of them, when she saw a crowd of people bump the two and cupped her hands to her mouth.

She watched as Satoshi's eyes went wide and he clutched Daisuke tightly in his arms, and then was falling forwards.

By this point Daisuke would take all the damage and his body was falling to the dance floor fast, his back would be injured, but some how, Satoshi whipped his body backwards and they started falling the other way and he fell harshly to the floor, his head taking the first blow.

Riku just stared in awe, and started running to the two…

Daisuke had his eyes squeezed tight and he felt the warm embracing arms of Satoshi…that had saved him from a shocking fall. He then opened his eyes to peak out and saw Satoshi's face screwed up with obvious pain and he grunted, his pale hair caste about his face, matching his pale eyes. “Sato!?” he yelled out over the people talking and the music still crying out.

He pulled his frame out and lifted his weight off of Satoshi and collected him self onto his knees, his tight jeans tightening on his legs. “Satoshi!?” he genially lifted him up in his arms and pushed him tightly to his chest, ignoring all the people bashing them. “I'm fine Dai s..…” he grunted out shakily pulling away from the hug as he knew Riku was coming. He tried climbing to his legs that were now quivering from the shock. Daisuke jumped up from his hunches and let Satoshi rest on his shoulder to help him walk.

Daisuke getting angry at all the people in his way and shoved them aside, watching Riku do the same.

Somewhere from the distance the one who had shoved them, yelled, and laughed over the raging beats. “That's for earlier punk!”

Daisuke had an urge to go back and beat the person up…

Riku came up and threw people out of her way in a huff. She looked and then helped both the boys get up to get near the bar area by pushing people, and cussing softly in obvious annoyance, Daisuke could tell she was already not in a good mood, she was a tough girl; even though this night she was dressed as a slut.

Satoshi was holding his head, his fingers clasping around his eye and was getting Daisuke to help him walk. Daisuke's rubies held worry, his shoulder was his leaning post and he hobbled to the counter. The music still played and the lights fluttered, he then placed Satoshi on the stool, who now sighed and rubbed his insipid face.

“You okay Satoshi?” Riku asked, bending down so her eyes would meet with his icy blue ones, her hands on both fish-netted knees and her face in a lop sided smile.

“Hm, yeah. Thanks.” He said uninterested and sliding a hand down his face then back onto his lap. Daisuke let out a sigh of huge relief and put his hand on his chest which made the both of them look up. He giggled and itched the back of his head nervously then took a seat on the stool beside Satoshi smiling, silently thanking Satoshi for what he did.

Riku scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest. “Dai. You haven't danced with me allll night!” she pouted and glared at Satoshi who just looked the other way and onto the ground.

Daisuke sighed, he was going to do it, and determination hit his glassy orbs as he saw Satoshi's face from the corner of his eye, catching hurt and hesitation, he would not hurt the commander… He inhaled sharply and lifted his head to look at his girlfriend, strands of his crimson hair wiping on his eye lids to answer her… and end it.

“Well Riku…I can't… anymore..I-

He was interrupted by Satoshi “He can't because I asked him to take me home, since the knock on my head is getting worse.”

A lie…

Riku's eyes widened and she switched her attention back on her boyfriend who bit his cheek and gave an uneasy smile, while clasping his hands tightly in his lap.

“Sorry Riku, but, we can't have Satoshi sick again…” he gazed up to her amberish eyes and could see understandment but clear irritation in them at the same time. He winced now feeling bad for her, his stomach turning and he swallowed hard.

She only nodded slowly and turned slowly on her heels to go to the dance floor. “CALL ME LATER.” She yelled cupping her hands over her mouth to make the sound louder over the noise. Daisuke only nodded, his bright hair falling in front of his face and frowned… he was about to brake up with her but why did Satoshi stop him?

`I thought he wanted this…' His thoughts were cut off as Satoshi stood up on his feet slowly and tilted his head to the door, mentioning that they should go…Daisuke gave a big grin and nodded, taking Satoshi's hand…Risa curiously watching from the side, with a beer glass in her hand now taking a swig her breath un even as she had just finished a dance and her eyes followed them.

“Riku… you are soo blind…” she giggled to her self disgustedly, her lips frowning and lifted the can back to her lips to taste the liquid. “Daisuke…you harm my twin…and I'll just have to harm…you.”

It's that simple.

--

They got home at around 4 am and Daisuke was exhausted, he dropped his helmet on the floor on the dark hall and kicked the shoes off his aching feet…what a big day…he unbuttoned his leather coat and walked into the living room shoving it at the chair the matter flailing over the arm of the chair and sliding to the ground.

His red bright hair was messy; he slid his hands on the walls of the dark and huge apartment to find the wooden door frame to his bedroom. He sighed and flopped himself on his bed, not even having enough energy to change…he lay there silently, he heard Satoshi picking up his things and rustling about and he heard rain… `Looks like we got here in time…' Daisuke thought to him self as his rubies were closing…his arms underneath the pillow and his cheek pressed to the white fixation.

Satoshi put away Daisuke's things and closed the white closet slowly; with one hand on his forehead and clutching his light azure hair strands…he wasn't feeling too good. He sighed and slowly walked to Daisuke's room to see if he was sleeping. He saw as the red head was fast asleep in his clothes and his chest heaved up in down as if he was already in a deep sleep.

He grinned and leaned against the door panel for a while, watching the rain cry down the closed window and spitting, before walking back to his own room. He didn't bother to change either as he lightly crawled into his bed with a huge sigh and rolled onto his back, the sheets costing about his thin form, his one arm on his forehead…he looked to his ceiling once more, before his lids closed over and the rain calmed him to a sleep.

`Why did I do this…?'

He groaned and rotated his body to the side the sheets ruffling as he did so… `I've ruined things for Daisuke…I'm an idiot…' and with his lids softly closed and he fell into a troubled sleep.

“I'm sorry…”
