Chapter 10:
A New Change
"What say you?" his half lidded eyes looked deep into Daisuke's.
Daisuke continued to stare with a blank looked covering his face. Satoshi, growing impatient, cupped Daisuke's cheeks, and gently stroked it, "It'll be our secret. No one else will have to know."
"I.. um. I..”
"Say yes..." Satoshi whispered into Daisuke's ears.
Daisuke looked down as if to seek the answer from below. Then, he looked up at Satoshi with a more serious face than anything. "I will on one condition," Daisuke backed away from Satoshi's touch.
"Anything."
"If you promise to never touch me."
"To never touch you?"
"Yes. You must promise me that you will never lay so much as a finger on me," Daisuke demanded, "And I'll accept your invitation."
To never touch the little uke? That's a hard one, Satoshi. How are you supposed to keep your hands off the person you've come to love so much?
"Does it look like I have any other options?"
Krad whispered in Satoshi's ear, How are you suppose keep your hands off him when you know he is so close... So close that you just want to rape him. Krad licked Satoshi's ear, to lick him and shower him with affectionate kisses; to claim him as your man; to dominate him in a sweet forbidden relationship.
Daisuke arose from the couch, "Well? What say you?" Daisuke demanded while folding his arms across his chest and while shifting his weight to one leg as he leaned.
He reminds me of a chick, a very stubborn chick, or worse... a wife. Satoshi nodded, and then said, "I don't have a reason to touch you, Niwa (You lie, Satoshi!). It'll be as you wish."
"What am I saying!" Satoshi mentally screamed, "I need to touch him like I need to breath.”
Satoshi slide one hand into his pocket and reached out to Daisuke with the other. "You said you wouldn't touch me!" Daisuke was about to back away, that is, if the couch wasn't right behind him.
"I'm not going to touch you, Niwa," Satoshi had brought his hand so close to Daisuke's face that he could feel the presence of the hand, but not the touch of it.
Satoshi stroked the air that acted as a barrier between his hand and Daisuke's cheeks then pulled away completely, and walked towards the door. "It's Christmas Eve, Niwa. I'm sure you'd rather spend it with someone like Riku, or your family," he opened the door, and looked away from Daisuke as he approached him.
"Yeah," responded Daisuke, "And I need to pack," he didn't sound too happy about shacking up with Satoshi.
"See ya later than, Niwa...," Satoshi closed the door, and was now alone in a lonely and dark living room.
You know, you just made everything harder for yourself by inviting him to shack up with you. What more are you gonna ask from him?
"I want everything," Satoshi mumbled as he wrapped his arms around himself, "I know it's selfish, to always want him by my side, but it's just that I get so jealous when I see him with someone other than me."
You're only gonna suffer if you continue to desire him this much. In my opinion, he has made it quite clear that he doesn't want to start anything with you.
"Haven't you learned that I can be a very persistent guy?"
Yes…The hard way. But if you continue this, Daisuke may be your downfall.
Satoshi whimpered under his breath by the thought of seeing Daisuke with Riku, "I can't hate her though," said Satoshi, "I can't hate her for being in love with Daisuke, and I can't hate her for being the one that Daisuke loves the most."
(At the Niwas' Residence)
"There you are, Daisuke. We've been waiting for you," said Emiko.
"Mom, I have something to talk to you about."
The cheerful smile on Emiko's face faded, "About what?"
Daisuke looked around the room, and suddenly noticed that Riku was there playing with Wiz. "Riku! I'm sorry, I didn't see you!"
"Yeah, I kinda noticed."
"Um, Merry Christmas Eve," Daisuke stuttered.
"Merry Christmas Eve," responded Riku.
She picked up Wiz in her arms and walked over to Daisuke as she planted a kiss on his red cheeks, "So, what are we going to do today?"
"I don't know yet, but I need to talk to my mom about something first."
"Ok. I'll just play with Wiz while you do that."
"What do you need to talk to me about, sweetie?"
"Um, can I talk to you about this in my room?"
"Ok, sweetie," Daisuke led his Emiko up to his room, and sat on the little couch.
"What's wrong?" Emiko asked.
"Hikari asked me to shack up with him."
"And you said 'no', right?"
"Actually, I said 'yes'."
"What!" His mother was furious, "It's bad enough that you made friends with him, but now you are going to shack up with him!"
"I know you are mad, but you know how far my college is, and his apartment is much closer! It'll make my life a lot easier!"
"What's so bad about running to school every morning?"
"I can't be pregnant and be running to school every morning! I get sick just being awake, but all the exercise just makes it worse!" "I have my reasons."
"Well, I'm not going to allow it."
"But mom, I'm nineteen! I'm at a legal age where I can make my own decisions, and can leave without your approval."
"So you are just going to walk out on me, Daisuke!"
"If that's what it takes!"
Daisuke, calm down! You're losing your temper again!
"I'm leaving, and that's that!"
"No you are not!" Emiko stomped her foot, "You're my son, and I'm not going to allow you, a Niwa, to shack up with Satoshi, a Hikari."
"Mom, I have reasons why I am doing this, otherwise, I would be staying here!" Daisuke was trying to keep his fast changing mood swings under control, "Please. I hardly ask for anything, and I won't have to pay rent."
"A free loaner? No son of mine will be a free loaner."
"Well I don't have a job, and Satoshi is rich."
Emiko narrowed her eyes at Daisuke, "There's something that you are trying to hide. Isn't there?"
Daisuke signed. "No. I just want to make my life a little easier. I just want to come home to a place where there are no traps waiting for me," "How am I suppose to dodge all that when my belly starts to show. I've already slowed down as it is."
"I'm denying you approval, but I can't stop you," said Emiko.
Daisuke's ears twitched, "What?"
Without answer, Emiko left the room with steam coming from her ears. I guess that's one of her many ways of saying leave, but don't expect that we will let you back in the house.
Daisuke signed. His mother was usually an understanding parent, but not when it came to Satoshi. It's as if the entire Niwa family hated the Hikaris. But in reality, Daisuke only hated Satoshi for being the one to impregnate him. Daisuke signed again as he rubbed his stomach. "What am I going to do when it starts to show?"
Heh. Wear a sweater.
"Dark. You do realize that I will be delivering this thing sometime in august!"
Hm. Well… Sucks to be you.
"You are never any help!"
Man. You are so gonna be burning in that sweater. Damn. It can get pretty hot here too.
"If it doesn't have to do with women, you are no help at all!"
Daisuke pulled his suitcase out of the closet, and began to pack. He was almost done when someone crept into his room. Daisuke spun his head around, "Riku?"
"I was waiting for you downstairs, and when I saw Emiko come down with a grumpy face and no Daisuke behind, I got kinda worried. What happened, and why are you packing all of your stuff?"
"I'm moving out."
"Why are you moving out? Did you get into a fight with your mom, so now she is kicking you out?"
"No," Daisuke pondered on how he should go about this, "I was invited to stay at someone else's home."
"So...?"
"It's much more convenient for me, and well..., I kinda have to," Daisuke touched his stomach one more time.
"Whose house will you be staying at? It's not a girl's, right!"
"No... um, it's not a girl. I'm staying at Hikari's apartment."
"Oh... Um.. I don't like that guy very much."
"Neither do I."
"Then why don't you come to stay with me?" Riku folded her hands together as if to beg.
"Believe me, Riku, if I could, I would, but I can't," Daisuke arose from his seated position, and walked over to Riku.
"Fine then," Riku looked away from Daisuke.
"Riku! It's not like anything is going to change between us!"
"I know, but are you going to spend Christmas with him?"
"No," Daisuke entangled his fingers with Riku's, "I want to spend Christmas with you, but right now, I have to take this stuff over to Hikari's apartment."
"Hm..."
"What is it?" Daisuke tilted his head to the side.
"Don't you feel intimidated when you are with him?"
"What... do you mean?"
"Well, for starters, he is the smartest guy in class. Not to mention, the tallest."
"Yeah..., so?"
"I don't know. It's just that when I'm with him, I feel intimidated, because he is like way more than a head taller than me, so I feel like a kid. It's the same with you. He is like a head taller than you, but you aren't more than a half a head taller than me."
"I still don't see your point."
"What I'm basically trying to say is, don't let him boss you around just because he is taller, smarter, and because you are staying in his apartment."
"Oh... ok."
"Gotta run! I'll catch you later, Daisuke."
Riku pulled away from Daisuke's hands as she ran outta the room. "Darn... now I have to see his face again," mumbled Daisuke.
You know, Dai, creepy boy is the perfect seme for you.
"I'm straight!"
You just make the perfect uke.
"Stop teasing me, Dark," Daisuke said as he tried to pull his suitcase outta his room.
(Back At Satoshi's Apartment)
Satoshi was now sitting on the couch drinking his coffee; the only warmth that he has these long past years. He had done as much cleaning up as he could for his guest, but he didn't expect him till later that night, so when he heard the door buzzard buzz, he was couldn't imagine who that could've been. Satoshi came towards the door, and peeked out the peep hole..., "Daisuke? But he wasn't suppose to arrive until later today."
Satoshi opened the door with his right hand, and slowly walked with the door as it opened. Daisuke walked in, hulling his suit case after him, and stood still for a second when he noticed that Satoshi had his back to him; his head obviously looking down at the floor. Ignoring him, Daisuke continued to enter further into the angel's den. "I didn't expect you to come so early," said Satoshi.
"I need to drop off my stuff, so that I wouldn't have to do it later."
"Will you be leaving again, soon?" Satoshi turned his head to face Daisuke's back.
"Yeah, I will. I'm just here to drop off my stuff...," Daisuke covered his mouth, "And I need to use the bathroom," he ran towards it.
Satoshi closed his eyes and smirked, "It seems that I'll have to clean the toilet a little more than often."
Satoshi picked up Daisuke's stuff, and carried it to his room. About ten minutes later, Daisuke came through the door looking as sick as always.
"You'd think that with all the barfing that I've done, I'd be used to it by now," Thought Daisuke.
"You'd think that with all the barfing that I've done, I'd be used to it by now," Thought Daisuke.
"I'll give you my bed, Niwa. I'll sleep on the couch."
“Are you sure?” asked Daisuke.
“You need it more than I do, and besides, I have an office. All I have to do is buy another bed and I'll be fine. You need not worry about me.”
“Well, since you put it that way, I guess everything works out.”
“Niwa,” Satoshi said.
"What?"
"Can I ask you of something? Just one thing then I'll never ask you of anything again."
"Depends."
"Niwa, I was wondering if you could accompany me to the Christmas ball at the mayor's house tonight."
"You mean like a date?"
"No and yes."
"I don't know."
"Please, Niwa. I have no choice but to attend, and the invite read that I have to bring someone; male or female. It doesn't matter."
"Does it have something to do with your job?" asked Daisuke.
"Yes. It has a lot to do with my job."
"Then why don't you bring that person that you love so much?"
Satoshi flinched. "Why are you bringing that person up?"
"Because I want to know who that person is, and why you never seem to talk about her."
"Her? Hmm. Well, in most cases, Daisuke can be cauterized as a she."
"I have my reasons."
"Who is she!" asked Daisuke, "You told me that you would do whatever I wanted, and that you'd be like a slave to me, so I want to know, who is she?"
"There are some things that are better left unanswered, and this is one of them."
"Is it Riku? Is it Risa?"
"I won't answer such a question, Niwa."
"Then I won't go."
Satoshi narrowed his eyes. "Why is Daisuke giving me such a hard time?" "If you won't come, then whom am I suppose to ask?"
"The one you love."
"You'll never understand, Daisuke." Satoshi shook his head. "I did..."
"And what did she say?" asked Daisuke.
"... no."
"Really! Why did she say that?"
"Because she is going with someone else,” Satoshi lied.
"Oh... I see..."
"Great! Now I feel bad!" Daisuke mentally scolded himself.
You're personalities are always changing. Last time I remember, you hated Satoshi, now you pity him? "I don't know. I want to make him feel better, because I've already put him through a lot "Ok... Hikari. I'll accompany you tonight, but any word about my condition, and I'll abort, leave, and there will be no traces of me."
Satoshi smiled and then said, "I am truly grateful to you, Niwa."
Zega: Read my profile for news or updates.
Rage: I know I said I was going to introduce you to Leopold but I feel to sick :coughs some more:
Satoshi: Nobody gives a rat's ass about you or your lion.
Rage: It's not a lion it's a snow Leopard!
Daisuke: Hey be nice both of you!
Satoshi and Rage: :starts to fight:
Zega: Ugh… Until next time!
