Which is very annoying to repeat when said in the beginning, but hey everyone’s entitled to his or her own opinion, even me! ^_^ So owners don’t get mad, I did give you the credit you deserve! ^^ Now Enjoy! ^^
Chapter 5: “ Not Me…!! ”
Brilliantly, among all the darkness lay grayish clouds hovering about through the Shinigami skies, as if the sky was struggling to brightening up.
The dim white, grayish light held such an ominous presence that it woke up the pretty blond boy out of his senses.
The young man looked around dazed, wondering where in the hell was he at.
He looked around several times…
… Trying to look for clues to where his location was at…
But to no avail…
“ Mello ”, or rather Mihael Keehl had no idea where he was standing.
For what seemed like hours or forever, Mello didn’t know. All he knew was that he was bored just sitting there and wondering what will happen to his soul, so he decided to get up and explore a bit.
But before even getting the chance to get up he was trampled right back on the ground by some unknown person to him.
It was non-other then Kyosuke Higuchi sprolled all over Mello’s body, pleading for salvation.
“ Please you got to help me!! ”
Yelled out Higuchi in desperation; the former second Kira.
All that was herd of Mello was his growl and “ get off of me!!! ”
Mello pushed Higuchi aside, and began to think things through.
Having a clear, concentrated mind is what he needed at the moment.
…Not some idiot yelling in his ears, and causing his ear drums to bleed…!
“ WILL YOU SHUT UP FOR A MOMENT?!!! ”
…Now…
…Think… Think like Near would…
No jumping to conclusions…!
“ DAMN IT!! ”
“ I can’t think at all while your yelping and shaking in fear all over me! ”
Mello had yelled in reply to Higuchi’s cowering against his shoulder.
“ Now get off my back! ”
Mello yelled, shoving Higuchi off his personal space.
“ Damn it broad!!! ” The only reason I’m bitching in fear is due to all the monster Shinigamis here! ”
“ Listing here you miserable bastard! I’m not a broad!!! ”
Mello yelled out, kicking the whimpering Higuchi to the ground.
“ Now control your bitching so that I may get both of us safely out, hopefully… ” “ I can’t guarantee anything… But it’s worth a try…”
Mello whispered, setting up a bomb that he had found in his pocket.
“Wha… WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Are you crazy blonde…?!! ”
“ Shut the hell up! I know what I’m doing you idiot!! ”
When Mello was done setting up the bomb, he attached a chocolate to it…
Mello had this idiot Higuchi to thank.
Because now that he knew this was the Shinigami world, he knew that the chocolate would attract a certain shinigami, and that certain shinigami was Sidoh.
-…And the better advantage Mello had was that Sidoh dislike ghost, and Mello didn’t even know he had more of a chance at making Sidoh trigger the bomb… Since he was in a form of a ghost, due to him being dead of course, dying in vain with out his accomplishment goal to be #1.
After all, Mello knew the bomb idea might be a threat to his soul, but all Mello wanted was to escape, and if he blew up a portion of the shinigami world maybe there would be a portal in which he could escape through, anywhere but here would be fine, due to the fact that it was depressing Mello just to be in the Shinigami world.
The sight of the shinigami world was very depressing and pathetic…
Before Mello could finish the final touches to the bomb, he was grabbed by the shoulder from some unknown figure behind him.
“ Get off of me…! ”
Mello said, thinking it was Higuchi, but only then did he realize it must of not been this man known and introduced as Higuchi to him, because he wasn’t even whining and that puzzled Mello,
“ Why…? ”
Only when Mello turned around did he realize it was a mysterious looking man with a trench coat, and a worn out, tired looking face.
It was Raye Penber standing before Mello, but of course Mello had no idea who this man was. So he asked…
“ Who are you? ”
“ I was an FBI member known as Raye Penber, but I guess it doesn’t matter, now that we’re all dead… ”
“ Don’t say that!! ”
Higuchi yelled out in agonizing pain.
“ …Its true…We’re all dead, but I’m not willing to except being left behind in this dump…! ”
“ I agree with you…” Mello whispered.
“ Mello ”
Mello answered Raye’s pondering question.
“ Mello ” is the name I’m known as by every-one, but my real name is Mihael Keehl, call me eighter one, now that life or priorities don’t matter any more… ”
“ Hmp…! All right Mihael. ”
“ You two are just wasting time here! ”
“ No one told you to stick around…Higuchi! ”
Mello replied with a ferocity in his voice.
“ So eighter stay or leave, pick! Because I’m not chosen for anyone!! You here me Higuchi?! ”
Mello asked in rage.
“ Mihael’s right Higuchi… It’s worth a try… ”
“ Easy for you two to say! You both except to try to find a solution to rest in peace!! I’m not ready for that! I’m going to find me a death note and threaten all Shinigami to make me god or parish by my hand! I will be again known as God Kira! YOU’LL all see!!!
“ You idiot… Don’t you see you we’re just another scheme of the true Kira…! ~…Just like I was a scheme in his and Near’s game, especially the man I admired,
“ L ”, and also the Wammy House…” ~
( This all said in Mello’s whispers and train of thought. )
Raye Penber could only stare at the young man known as Mello with curiosity, and a bit of sadness…
Maybe for himself and these two individuals…
…Several hours had passed… Mello wasn’t aware of what time it was, but all he knew was that Sidoh came in the nick of time as predicted by Mello’s own awareness of the Shinigami’s love for chocolate.
…And as always he heard Sidoh’s bickering and whining with his arrival at bay…
“…What’s…this…
… Ooh… Chocolate…! ”
Whimpered Sidoh reaching for the chocolate with pleasure.
With out a moment to spare, Sidoh pulled the chocolate bar attached to the unknown trigger.
The explosion was so intense it took everyone there present by surprise, even Mello.
Along with the explosion, Sidoh flew off to who knows where, with the chocolate in his grasp, whining about.
But to Mello that didn’t matter at the moment. What mattered to him and Raye Penber was the white light emitting from the swirling portal…
Mello didn’t waste time, he took the opportunity he had and jumped along side Raye Penber.
And there Higuchi pondered behind resisting the light flashing him, in hopes of his cooperation.
Cowering in fear, Higuchi could only stand there in shock as the portal pulled him inch by inch. Until Armonia Justin Beyondormason; the Shinigami realms advisor pushed Higuchi right into the portal awaiting him.
The shinigami king has great confidence in the shinigami advisor, and thus Armonia only pushed Higuchi, the dead weight to keep things going, and also chuckling at the site of the pathetic Higuchi…
“ …Fool… ”
“…Also… Light Yagami is also a fool…”
Armonia said while watching Light heading towards the portal himself.
“ Might as well toss myself in…Hopefully opportunities await me, after all there’s nothing wrong with trying out on something, Light muttered to himself.
~ Everything was white light, with several gray fogs in certain areas. ~
Light Yagami looked around, wondering where he was standing, who was he expected to see…
“ …God…? ”
“ Maybe. ”
Then as sudden as ever expected…
…Every thing around Light Yagami went dark…
Light was afraid, but knew this was coming… He had expected it sooner or later…
