The streets of Japan where busy as ever,
This is the story of life after the death of Light Yagami, Kira as most people know him.
Matsuda went on to become the Chief of Police, for outstanding courage and utter stupidity against Light.
Near's location is unknown, It is rumored that he and Mello still fight to this day.
Misa Amane, did indeed jump off the bridge, leading to her most certain death, however, her life span still
shined in the Shinigami realm, so an unknown force lifted her from the ground, Misa believes it to have been the
spirit of "Rem" still protecting her.

Light's mother and sister continued on to run an antique shop.
But, the real story starts with the Shinigami realm, as Ryuk the shinigami took a bite into a fresh apple.

A light flashed so bright that Ryuk felt uncomfortable, "What in sam hill's goin' on here?" Ryuk grunted.
He got up and waved his hand at the flash, "Stop it you idiot!"
Just then another shinigami emerged from the light.
"Oh," Ryuk chuckled, "It's just you again . . . Light."
