A woman, in her mid-40s, paced back and forth in the living room. A man sat on the couch, lazily flipping through channels, wondering when his wife would sit down and relax. The woman wore a silk sleeping gown with frills around the collar and around the sleeves. Her messy, long, dirty blonde hair complimented her worried emerald eyes. The man, also in his mid 40's, wore a sleeveless shirt and red and white striped boxer shorts. His black hair and his tired hazel eyes made it appear that he had just woken up.

Finally, after moments of pacing and television watching, the man spoke. "You know, Chris won't come home faster if you keep pacing back and forth like that...." The woman responded with a glare.

"Oh, quiet! I'm worried about our son! Something you should also be doing, right about now." Mrs. Drakken shrieked.

"You obviously don't know our son...." The man, whom was Mr. Drakken, rolled his eyes.

"What is that suppose to mean?" The woman shot daggers with her emeralds. Mr. Drakken sighed.

"It means our son can take care of himself and is a very responsible individual. It means you shouldn't worry yourself over his well being. It means....." Mrs. Drakken stopped his speech with one of her own.

"I know that! Do you think I don't know that?! But look at the time! Midnight and not even a phone call! You and I both know that he calls when he knows he's going to be late!" As if in cue, the phone rang. Mrs. Drakken nearly dove for the phone. "Chris! Chris? Is that you?"

"No, this is Lieutenant-...."

"Lieutenant! Do you know where Chris is? Is he okay? Oh my god! Did something happen? Why aren't you telling me anything?" Mr. Drakken got up and reached for the phone. After calming his hysteric wife, he began to converse with the Lieutenant. After a moment of speaking and listening, Mr. Drakken placed the phone back to it respectied spot and changed the channel. He was silent. Mrs. Drakken on the other hand.....

"What happened? Is everything okay? Tell me what he said!" Mr. Drakken continued to stare blindly at the television. After a moment, he responded.

"He said to watch channel eight." He said while pointing at the television with the remote. Mrs. Drakken turned her head to see a breaking news report.

"That's it? Nothing about Chris?" Mr. Drakken smirked, deciding to lighten the mood.

"Look, ma! Our son is on the television!" He said with a southern drawl. Mrs. Drakken looked at him dumbfoundly, then at the screen. Sure enough, Chris was on the television, fighting a large snake. A very large snake. Mrs. Drakken glared then began, repeatedly, to smack her husband.

"Why... Didn't... You... Tell... Me... Sooner!" She yelled in-between attacks. "Why did you leave me in suspense like that?"

"Because it's television. Everything should be dramatic..."

"Renamon!" Rika yelled as the yellow fox, slammed into the ground by the massive tail of the serpent, cried out in pain.

"Terrier Tornado!" The small Digimon spun to a speed that created a small tornado. The tornado launched itself at the serpent. The serpent roared in pain, but swatted the tornado and blasted the small Digimon with a laser from its eyes. Terriermon flew back, hitting a tree.

"Terriermon! Guys, this isn't working!" Henry yelled. Takato nodded.

"He's right! It's time to digivolve! Ready Guilmon?" Takato turned to Guilmon. The red dinosaur nodded then charged toward the serpent. Takato pulled out a single card and slashed it through his D-Arc. "Digi-modify! Digivolution activate!"

A red light then surrounded the small dinosaur, causing him to grow larger and larger. He grew until he was just as large as the serpent. Growlmon roared, shaking the earth, then charged the serpent. The serpent roared back, then shot water from its mouth. The blast sent Growlmon back, nearly falling back but still standing.

"Renamon! Growlmon needs our help!" Rika yelled to her fallen digital companion. Renamon stood, preparing herself for the transformation. Rika quickly grabbed a card from her card holder, and swiped it through her D-Arc. "Digi-modify! Digivolution activate!"

"Get ready Terriermon!" Henry yelled, pulling out a card for himself.

"I'm always ready!" Terriermon stood to his feet then ran. Henry slashed the card through, saying the same phrases as the other two Tamers.

Both Terriermon and Renamon were engulfed in a light. The light grew larger and dimmer, revealing the Digimon's new forms. Gargomon jumped onto Qubimon's back then shot a round from his cannon.

"Gargo Laser!" Then, Gargomon jumped at the demon, fist glowing green. "Gargo Pummel!"

Gargomon punched the demon in the beak, but it simply swatted it's head, bashing the digimon into the water. Quibimon leaped into the air, and head butted the demon. The demon faltered back. Enraged, the demon drew its mouth open, gathering energy for a fire attack. The demon was about to shoot, but a massive fireball allowed the creature to misfire. The blast went skyward, causing an explosion in the sky. The demon turned to the attack. Growlmon roared, his mouth still steaming from the attack. Both behemoths started each other down, then went for a full on charge!

Takato yelled in a fury. "Take it down, Growlmon!"

Chris jumped onto a car, dodging another venomness bite. Chris growled as the demon attempted to eat him again. Chris jumped over its head, causing it to get a mouth full of car. Chris roared as he landed on the creatures head, and began to pummel it with his fist.

"Stop trying to fucking eat me!" He yelled with every punch. The demon spat the car from its mouth, then snapped its head around. Tried to grab on to anything that would keep him on, but the demons slippery scales prevented any hope of that happening. Chris was thrown off, flying through a window in the process. Chris hit a shelf, knocking it over. Glass and food was sent everywhere. Chris pulled himself from the wreckage, pulling shards of glass from his skin. His newly repaired clothes, torn from the glass, dangled from his body.

"Hey, you bastard! I just got these clothes fixed! Damn it!" Chris jumped from the stores window and charged the demon.

The serpent roared, then lunged at Chris. Chris pulled out his sword and slashed at the creatures forked tongue. The creature darted backwards, roaring in pain. With it distracted, Chris charged and stabbed the demon through its scales. In a rage, the demon wrapped its tongue around Chris's leg and threw him onto a cop car. Chris hit the windshield and nearly went through. The glass cut as his back, allowing blood to flow freely. The demon licked the air, tasting the warm blood.

Crap! Chris screamed in his mind as the demon lunged again. Chris rolled off the car and ran to a nearby cop. The cop freaked out, unsure of what the boy had planned.

"What the hell do you want?! Get away from me!" the officer yelled at the boy. Chris glared, then grabbed the officers firearm.

With a sword in his right hand and a gun in his left, Chris ran further away from the demon. The demon followed, not one to miss an opportunity to eat. The young fighter ran past squad cars and cops, all of whom were trying to get out of the way. Chris ran past shops and parked cars, running at full speed to the park.

"Come on! Follow me you stupid prick!"

"Dragon Wheel!" A blue dragon attacked the serpent, causing its scales to be singed.

It roared out in pain and frustration. It was being overwhelmed and it was running low on energy. Each time it tried to attack one of the Digimon, another would attack, ending any sort of counter-attack. The demon tried to attack the fox, but an attack from the talking bunny, with guns strapped to his hands, ended its attack. The serpent roared as Gargomon fired a barraged of green bullets. The demon glared but saw that the big dinosaur was charging for another attack.

"Dragon Slash!" Growlmon dug his bladed elbows deep into the flesh of the serpent. The wound began to draw a green liquid, which soon caught on fire. The serpent roared and batted the huge lizard Digimon away.

"This is our chance guys!" Henry yelled to the other Tamers. The two nodded.

"Okay! Finish it!" Takato yelled to his very large partner.

"Whatever you say! Pyro Blaster!" Growlmon yelled as a fireball formed in his mouth. Kyubimon extended her tails and blue fireballs formed on each and every one of them.

"Fox Tail Inferno!"

Gargomon began to discharge his weapon. "Gargo Laser!"

The attacks hit the demon, causing it to explode. The debriy hit the water but combusted into flames. The ashes floated on the water in large clumps that were carried off by the gentle breeze. The three champion Digimon relaxed and reverted to their rookie forms.

The three tamers ran to their Digimon companions, glad that none of them was injured. "You guys were great! It's good to see that you guys aren't rusted!" Rika smiled at the three. Henry frowned.

"What was that thing? It wasn't a Digimon, so what was it?" Takato blinked as the blue haired boy brought his hand to his chin.

"Maybe it's a new kind of Digimon...?" Henry shook his head.

"I doubt that. Hypnos would have told us something then..." Henry said the word with disgust. Takato looked down.

"Henry, you should really forgive you dad. I mean, he only did what he thought had to been done to save the world..." Henry glared at his friend and turned away.

"We should probably get home.... Our parents might start to worry." He said as he walked to his bike. Takato and Rika exchanged concerned glances, then also made their ways home....

Chris fired at the demon, aiming for it's eyes. He then dove behind a tree as tried to engulf him. Chris rolled and fired again. Chris then noticed that the gun was getting lighter. Shit! I'm almost out of bullets! Chris ran and dove behind another tree. There, he unclipped the firearm. Three shots left! What am I going to do with three shots!?

Chris had been hit earlier and lost his sword somewhere in the vicinity. Chris then began to rely on the pistol, finding that the bullets cannot pierce the demons hide. Chris decided to aim at its eyes, to no avail. The bullets missed their targets, due to the serpents' sudden movements.

Chris could hear the rustling of the snakes' body against the grass. It was getting closer! Chris silently swore to himself. It knew where he was because of the blood. He couldn't hide from it, because he was sloppy! Damn! This is a great way to start off the day!

The serpent then shot a fireball from its' mouth, incinerating the tree. Chris peaked over the stump to find the serpent, towering overhead, fangs ready for the kill.

"Damn you!" Chris scowled and ran away. He hated running, but without his sword, he couldn't pierce the rough hide of the demon.

The serpent quickly got ahead of Chris and circled its' body around him. Chris had nowhere else to run, he was trapped. Chris spat then smirked. "So you want to play it like that? Okay, cool with me!"

Chris stood in fighting position, tightening his grip around the firearm. Drool dripped from the demons' mouth, already tasting Chris' warm flesh against its' tongue. Chris frowned, emeralds searching for his lost sword. Chris spotted the sword, lying in the grass. Okay, three bullets and my sword is over there.... It's do or die time....

The serpent lunged. Chris jumped on its' head. Chris then pointed the gun at one of the creatures' eyes. "...Bang..." Chris pulled the trigger, causing the eye to explode, green liquid and eye bits flying everywhere. The eye socket began to catch fire, but Chris paid no mind. Chris aimed again, aiming for the snakes other eye, blinding it. The creature straighten upward, roaring in pain. Chris jumped off the snake and dashed for his sword. The snake turned, enraged, and charged at Chris. Chris grabbed the sword, but he was too late. The snakes' tongue grabbed him, then pulled the fighter into the belly of the beast......

A/N: That's the end of this chapter. I have finished editing chapter one, if you didn't already know. I still have to work on the other chapters, but I can't seem to get to work on them.
