Morning finally came and rika was already awake getting ready to go and see her new friend. Words couldn't describe how happy she was feeling right now she finally has a friend and she is about to go and hang out with him. Rika goes into the bathroom to go take a shower and do her usual stuff and she goes downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Good morning grandma." Rika says.

"Good morning dear." Seiko the name of her grandmother replies back to her. She noticed something different about rika she looked a little harder and noticed she was smiling. "What makes you so happy today?"

"I am going to go hang out with a friend after breakfast." Rika said smiling at her grandma.

"That's wonderful rika what is there name?" Rikas grandma sits down next to her and waiting for a reply.

"His name is michael and he is a really good person grandma I think you would really like him." She says getting up to put her dishes in the sink.

"He sounds like a charming young man." Seiko tells her and watches her get her shoes on to leave. "You fun dear and by the way your mother wants to talk to you today when she gets home."

Rika looks at her funny wondering what her mother wants, "ok grandma see you later." She walks out the door and heads towards the park. `I wonder what we are going to do today but whatever it is I am going to be spending time with a friend.' She thought all the way there with good thoughts instead of negative thoughts anymore.

Renamon and guilmon were still asleep but when the sun came through the opening of the hideout it renamon in the eyes and woke her up. She just lay there remembering what happened the current night. She heard a heart beat and she knew she was still laying on guilmon she looked up and saw him sleeping. She just smiled at him and she started to rub her head on his chest a little feeling the warmth his body was giving off. The feeling she received from him last night was exhilarating and she never wanted to let go of that feeling again. She had her eyes closed breathing out a sigh of relief that she feels not alone. She felt arms wrapped around her waist and hug her a little she looks up to see guilmon staring down at her.

"Good morning." Renamon says and smiles up at him.

"Good morning renamon did you sleep well?" He asked her while rubbing her sides.

"Yes I did thanks to you." She replied by saying that and giving him a nice kiss on the lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck and put her head on his shoulder. She just sat there enjoying his loving embrace and she couldn't remember last when she felt this happy.

"Renamon what are you going to do about rika?" He is concerned for those two not being together as partners he doesn't want to see renamon without rika.

Renamon just sighs, "I don't know but I know that I am not going to get in her way." Guilmon looks at her and just shakes his head a little he didn't want to tell renamon what to do so he just left it were it was at. "I need to go though I have stuff to take care of." She stands up and stretches a little bit.

"Ok, will you be back though?" He stands up as well and looks at her in the eyes.

"Of course." She says and they share another kiss and she vanishes. Guilmon just chuckles a little and goes outside to wait for takato to come and bring him his bread.

Rika finally made it to the park and now was looking for michael she did not know where to look because the park was huge. She then had a thought she remembered that one night when she was walking by herself and she found him doing some kind of martial arts training. She tried her best to remember were it was and when she finally found the area she saw him doing the same thing again. She just stares at him like last time and watches how he just moves his body around like the wind so smooth.

She finally starts to walk over there and just sits down to watch him cause she doesn't want to disturb him. Michael turns around and sees rika sitting on the ground staring at him. "What?"

"Nothing I was just watching you do whatever you were doing." She says and stands up and walks over to him. He has his shirt off again and rika couldn't help but admire the way he looked. `Not bad.'

"I was just keeping up on my concentration and my reflexes of my body." He looks around to see if anyone else was there. "It is like each muscle of your body has a different power so you have to train each one of these muscles to keep them from loosing there power." She looks at him confused. Well she isn't confused on what he said but why he told her.

"Ok why did you tell me?" She asks him.

"I thought you were curious on what I was doing so I told you." He replies in defense.

She just shakes her head and then she gets an idea. "So you thought I was curious so you told me why would you assume something like that you really think I want to know something like that?" She had a mean look on her face when she was saying this but she was trying her hardest not to laugh.

What he said next shocked her cause she didn't know he was going to think of something like this. "If you didn't want to know why did you watch me then and why did you listen to me?" He didn't even look at her but he felt the heat go up in her cheeks.

"I wasn't staring at you…I mean I was but…wait no I was just seeing what you were doing…I mean…"She gave up and just hung her head low in defeat.

"I know I know my body is irresistible and no girl cant say they don't want me." He flexed his muscles and showing off. Rika couldn't help but giggle but when she realized what she did she clamp her mouth shut. Michael couldn't help but chuckle a little and rika was just turning beat red.

"Hey come here for a minute." He waves his hand at her to come over to him. So she walks over to him and waits to see what he wants. "How would you like to learn a few things today?"

"Sure I guess that sounds nice." She is confused.

"Ok turn." She turns her body like his, it was facing towards the pond. "Do what I do ok." He started to move his body in motion of the water and wind he was like one with nature. Rika was trying to do what he was doing but she couldn't get it. Michael noticed and stopped and went over to her to help her out. He went behind her wrapped his arms around her and grabbed both her wrists. Rika was blushing at this and so was michael but both of them ignored it and just went with it.

"Let your mind wander just become the air don't push against but become part of it." They both started to move. Rikas was now getting into it now with michaels help of course. There bodies moving together in harmony with the wind now. Rika was actually enjoying this a lot she felt calm within herself.

"You are doing well rika please tell me what are you feeling?" Michael was whispering in her ear.

"I feel everything. I can feel the planet like I am part of it or something it's a wonderful feeling." She had her eyes closed and was just enjoying this feeling. Michael let her go and she stopped as well. He went and grabbed his shirt and put it on.

"What do you want to do?" He asked her standing there and looking for something to do.

"I don't know we could go find the others." She said.

"Maybe we should go find renamon." He said knowing this would trigger something within her.

"I don't know maybe she doesn't even want to be around me." Rika looked at the ground missing her friend.

"I doubt it. I have this feeling that renamon is missing you to but I can't interfere with your and renamons problem you two are going to have to fix it on your own." He said to her putting a hand on her shoulder for reassurance that everything will turn out ok. "Lets go on a walk maybe we might run into the others."

"Yeah that sounds nice." She gave him one of her rare smiles and they just started to walk towards the middle of the park.

Renamon was just hopping from tree to tree trying to find a digital field to prove that she doesn't need rika to fight. `I don't know why I am trying to prove this I don't know if I even want to be stronger without rika.' She was thinking to herself while walking by a baseball diamond a digital field appeared. She went into the field ready to fight whatever was going to come out of it.

Michael looked up with a frown on his face. Rika noticed this and was concerned on what was wrong. "Michael what's the matter?"

"A digimon has emerged." He looked down on her.

"Well what are we…"She couldn't finish cause because michael picked her up and started flying towards were he sensed the digimon. Rika screamed from the sudden change in altitude and squeezed michael around the neck almost choking him but luckily for him he is strong. All michael could do is chuckle.

"You can open your eyes I won't drop you I promise." Michael said giving a small smile to her. She opened her eyes slowly and looked at the land underneath her moving fast.

"This is incredible." She said but noticed how close she was to michaels face and she started to blush and she loosened her grip around his neck. "Sorry." She said looking away from him.

He gave another chuckle, "it is quite ok no reason for you to apologize I should be the one apologizing I should of warned you that I was going to do that." He said looking at her for a second then back in front of him.

"This is great I have never done anything like this in my life I mean I have been on airplanes I have never really flown." She said smiling and looking at all the scenery that they were passing never really knowing how beautiful it was around were she lived.

"Well I hope you never flown like this before I would start worrying about that." He said laughing.

She gave him a glare that tells him to not start. "You know what I mean." She says looking forward. He laughs again and blasts towards the digimon.

Renamon was fighting a multiple of bee looking digimon but none of them stood a chance against renamon. They shot their stingers at her and she was dodging each one of them she jumped and sliced through some of them deleting them. The rest of the digimon just got into a line and was going to go on the offensive. Renamon was about to attack when there was a noise and it was henry and terriermon but she just ignored them but she was didn't notice one of the digimon shot a stinger at her and she couldn't move in time and she got hit. She grabbed her arm in pain and she started to get dizzy.

"Renamon." Rika whispered. Michael looked down at her seeing the worry in her eyes.

"Renamon is strong something like that won't stop her." He said he put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. Rika was about to run to her but renamon shook her head and jumped in the air doing her famous diamond storm attack wiping all of them out.

`I guess she really didn't need me after all.' She lowered her head and started to walk away. Michael saw the sadness in her eyes he looked back at renamon who was talking to henry and terriermon. He walked after rika to see if she was alright and when he came to her she was sitting at a tree with her arms around her legs and she head buried in her arms. He walked up to her but to his surprise he heard crying he bent to her and just looked at the crying girl shake and sounded like she was trying to hold it back.

She didn't even know that michael was there and she started to say something. "Renamon was my first friend and I treated like she was a animal or something to that. She doesn't need me anymore." She was starting cry even more now when she felt two hands grab her by the shoulders. She jumped and looked up to see who it was and she saw michael with concern in his eyes. "Sorry for being such a cry baby."

He just smiled, "I don't think you're a cry baby sometimes people just need to cry. Renamon does need you if you don't know that you and her just need to figure things out you two need time apart for right now."

"How do you she needs me its not what it looked like a little bit ago." She started shed some tears again.

"I just do." He stated and without thinking pulled her into a hug to comfort her. Rika didn't care and just buried her head in chest and started to cry out from years of pain and loneliness. All her emotions that were bottled up inside coming out finally. Michael just sat there rubbing her back comforting her as much as he could just letting her cry.

A half-hour went by and rika was finally starting to calm down. Michael moved them into a more comfortable position he sat down against the tree and had rika on his lap and still having in her in his arms. Rika finally stopped crying and she just sat there not even caring that she was in michaels lap. Michael looked down at her still rubbing her back.

"Are you ok now." He finally breaking the silence.

She looks at his face and smiles, "yeah I'm ok I feel actually better for letting that all out and thank you for being here." She puts her head back down on his chest and closes her eyes and rests. He looks down at her just studying her for some reason he does not know.

`She is really beautiful…no wait what am I thinking she is just my friend but she is so warm and soft and to mention very sexy looking…no michael must not think that just friends with her.'

`Michael is so kind and so hot…wait a minute were did that come from…my michael is just my friend probably wouldn't even think that about me…but he is so comfortable…wait no…'

They both just sat there and enjoyed each other's warmth and just stared in front of them looking into the woods and just looked at the wildlife in front of them. There was a cold wind all of a sudden and rika without thinking started to snuggle into michael some more and wrapped her arms around his neck. Michael wrapped his arms around her waist and started to pull her towards him more. They were really comfortable with this and they didn't even think anything about it until rika remembered that she had to be home.

"I just remembered I have to get home cause my mom wants to talk to me about something." She sighs in disappointment and stands up.

"Well how about I give you a ride."

She smiles at him, "that would be nice." He went over to her and picked her up like he would a baby and took off into the sky. She had her arms wrapped around his neck like earlier and just laid her head down on his shoulder. To her for some reason she felt safe around michael like nothing could harm her. They finally reached her house and landed at her from door. "Thank you michael for everything."

"Hey no problem if you ever need to talk I am always here for you rika." He smiled at her. He was about to take off when her mom walked out having a big smile on her face.

"Rika who is your friend here." Rumiko was being her usual self.

"Umm mom this is michael. Michael my mom." She introduced them and was kind of hoping that she would leave and not try to embarrass her.

"Nice to meet you." Michael said.

"So how long have you two been going out?" She asked. Michael fell to the ground anime style.

"MOM! We are not going out we are just friends." Rika yelled at her.

"Yeah Ms. Nonaka rika and I are just friends nothing more." Michael stood up and going off the porch. "I'll see you tomorrow rika."

"Ok bye michael." She waved to him and he waved back and he left but he didn't fly away he waited until rikas mom couldn't see him. Rika and her mom walked in the house and rika was about to go into her room when rumiko stopped her.

"Rika honey can I talk to you?" Rika turned around and faced her. "I was thinking we don't spend much time together so I was wondering if you would like to come with me to a photo shoot with me next week."

Rika hated those stupid photo shoots but maybe it wouldn't be so bad I mean like her mom said they haven't really spent much time together and the look in her moms eyes said that she really wanted her to come. "Ok mom I will go." With that she went to her room and rumiko smiled and went to the kitchen.

Rika got into her room and pulled out her digivice and cards and looked at them for a minute and then walked over to the trash can and through them in there. She walked over to her make shift bed and laid down it. Time went by when a little digimon named calumon came in he looked over at rika then over to the wastebasket. Rika heard some noise and turned around to see that calumon dug out her digivice and was holding in his two small hands.

"What are you doing here calumon?" Rika asked him a bit irritated at him.

"Why did you throw this away?" Calumon asked with his innocent voice. Rika didn't answer and just turned back around and stared at the wall. Calumon just looked at the digivice with his ears folding back into his head.

Renamon was sitting in a tree just thinking on what to do about rika. `I don't know what it is but I feel like it doesn't matter how many digimon I defeat it wont be the same without rika.' Renamon closed her eyes and just felt the wind going across her fur. She opened her eye's real quick cause she felt a digimon coming and with that she disappeared. She appeared in an open field and was waiting for the digimon it was already fogged up. She closed her eyes trying to find it and when she finally opened them the digimon known as harpymon was coming in for the attack. Renamon barely had anytime to dodge the attack but she did. Henry and takato reached the site with there digimon and saw that renamon was already there.

"Terriermon go and help."

"You two guilmon."

They both went but stopped when harpymon attack them knocking them to the ground.

`Guilmon.' Renamon looked at her mate getting knocked to the ground and she got mad and by doing that she was getting sloppy. They all watched renamon fighting the digimon but they heard something coming towards them so they turned around and noticed it was rika.

"All right you came." Takato said.

"Hey renamon rika showed up." Terriermon yelled to her.

Renamon turned around and looked at rika, `she came.' Harpymon was about to attack when renamon jumped in the air and knocked harpymon to the ground knocking it unconscious. Renamon landed in front of harpymon and looked at it, `I can win without rikas help but what is the point though?' She thought to herself but didn't notice harpymon was slowly coming conscious.

"What is wrong with her why won't she destroy it?" Henry asked to no one in particular. Harpymon looked at renamon seeing that she was just day dreaming and brought her wings up to her. Renamon looked down in time to see an attack fly right into her knocking her to the ground injured. Rikas eyes flew open she watched as harpymon it got up and started to walk towards renamon. Rika started to panic and started to look around frantically when she spotted a tree branch. She picked up and ran at harpymon full speed.

"Rika!" Henry yelled out.

Harpymon turned around and swatted the branch out of rikas hands and making her fall to the ground. She started to walk towards rika to attack her rika was now scared stiff. Before harpymon could do anything kyubimon ram into her sending her into the air. Kyubimon spread her tails and did her fox tail inferno destroying harpymon.

"You saved me." Kyubimon said.

"I had to that is what friends and partners do they protect each other." Rika smiled at kyubimon. All the others just smiled at the scene in front of them.

In a tree away from the fight sat michael. "That a girl."
