Digimon 02: Digidestined of Minerva

 

Recap: Our gang arrived at the city of Luca, where they met a merchant named Seneca, playing a chess game, but when Kari interrupts his game, she had to play him or lose herself to Seneca. Chapter 6: The Gang Reunited

 

(On the deck of the ship heading for the continent of Hardware; Early Dusk)

 

We find our Digidestined of Miracles, Daisuke Motomiya, on the deck of the ship taking Tai, Kari, himself, and all three of their Digimon partners to the continent of Hardware, in the Western Sector of the Digital World. He looks to see the sunset and the skies, which look dark red, thanks to the beautiful sunset in the distance.

I learned that my Crest of Miracles is one of the most powerful crests of the Digidestined, a Divine Crests, and that I'm one of eight princes and princesses of the Digidestined. Davis takes out his Crest of Miracles and replies, in a strange calm fashion, “The very same.” Davis' body then becomes covered in a slight golden aura, surprising even Tai, Kari, and their Digimon partners. Davis then takes out his sword and tells them, in a deep threatening tone, “If you want to fight, then let's fight. But believe me, you won't come out of the experience in one piece. Believe me.” Davis then slams his foot into the ground, creating a small and deep crater around it, freaking even Tai and Agumon out.

 

The Meramon gang member bows his head and says, nervously, “No! No! We are very sorry to disturb you, oh mighty Digidestined of Miracles.”

 

The Gotsumon bows his head lower and exclaims, in the same nervous tone, “Yes, mighty prince of the Digidestined. We didn't not to threaten YOUR slave, oh no, no! We will take our leave.” And then the Digimon began to run off with the human members, knowing if their Digimon allies are afraid of Davis then they know not to mess with him, begin to run after them.

 

Davis put his sword away, gently and nicely releases from Kari's grip, and states, “Hey! Hold it!”

 

The Meramon, in a panicked tone of voice, then yells out, “Damn! Run!” All of the gang members began to run off in hasty retreat, but Davis uses his super-speed to get in front of the Gotsumon, grab him by the neck, and throw him to the wall.

Davis then goes back to Veemon, Kari, Tai, Agumon, and Silk and Tai exclaims, “Whoa! Davis, how did you like that?”

 

Veemon asks, “Do you think that Davis is the Digidestined of Miracles for nothing?”

 

Agumon then looks around, sees the people around them looking at them, and says, “Tai, everyone is looking at us.” All the others look around to see that the people were indeed looking at the six of them.

 

Davis says, scratching his head, “I think its best that we get the supplies we need, make like trees, and leaf.”

 

“Good idea.” Kari and Tai say in unison. All six of our humans and Digimon then walk off as the people that saw everyone begins to gossip about our Digidestined of Miracles and how he beat the gang, which amazing was the toughest gang in the city.

 

(In the woods and grasslands outside of the city; Beginning of the afternoon)

 

We find Raidramon, with Davis, Kari, and Silk with some supply bags/packs on his back, and Greymon, with Tai and some more supply packs on his back, traveling on dirt paths and roadways to the Valley of Warriors. They got directions form the son of store owner, who was a Digidestined, and his Digimon partner, who agreed instantly to give the directions when they found out that Davis is the Digidestined of Miracles.

 

Tai states, in an amazed tone, “Man! Davis, it seems like everyone know about your legend as the Digidestined of Miracles!”

 

Greymon tells Tai, “Well, Tai, the legend of the Digidestined of Miracles is the most wide known legend of the Digidestined and the most revered legend as well. The Digidestined of Miracles is one of the most powerful Digidestined even known. He is respect as a savior by many Digimon and a powerful worthy warrior by others. And others still see him as worthy opponent in battle, especially warrior Digimon. They would love to make a name for themselves by defeating the Digidestined of Miracles.”

 

Tai says, “Revered by many Digimon and seen as a template to fame by others. And you can guess what the forces of darkness think of you.”

 

Davis says, with some sarcasm, “Yeah, lucky me.”

 

Tai says, in amazed tone of voice, “You know, Davis, I don't see for over four years and, now, you gain special powers and find out you're a prince.” But then Tai looks at Kari and thinks, “However, I lose Kari for six month and, now, I find her again, but finding out that she went through some immense trauma that caused her to become shattered inside and lose much of who she is! And all this thanks to TK! TK, of all people, did this to her! Next time when I see, I'm giving him a piece of my mind and my fist! However, it looks like Davis is trying to `rebuild' Kari and help regain what she lost on the inside! But I don't get this! Why? Why did TK, of all people, betray her and then rape her?!”

 

Kari then gives a yawn that's loud enough to be heard by the three Digimon, Tai, and Davis, causing Davis to ask, “Are you tired, Kari?”

 

Kari replies, “I'm a bit sleepy.”

 

Davis asks, “Would you like to take a break?”

 

Kari answers, confidently, “Sure! That is, if you allow me.”

 

Davis replies, in his usual tone, “No problem.” Raidramon and Greymon were one step ahead of their partners and stop in front of tree with a large shade. Davis then helped Kari and Silk off of Raidramon, Tai jumps off of Greymon, Davis goes to the tree, puts his back on the tree, and sits down, relaxing, and Kari goes over to Davis and lays down on his body, nuzzling her hair on his chin.

 

Tai asks, “How long is until we get to this `Valley of Warriors'?”

 

Davis answers, “Based on our fellow Digidestined and his partner's `testimony', it will take one or two more days to get there.”

 

Tai says, “Well, I can't just wait around! Who knows what has happened to Mimi, Yolei, and Sora while we wait?”

 

Kari states to Tai, “Tai, you really love Sora, don't you?”

 

Tai sighs, nods, and says, “After the battle with MaloMyotismon, Matt and Sora broke up and I comforted her. One day, Sora wanted to tell me something, but the next day, she became missing.”

 

Davis says, “Most likely kidnapped, Tai.” Davis tells Tai, “Tai, I know how you feel. If Kari was in that situation, I do anything as quickly as possible to get her back.” Kari smiles warmly at Davis at his statement.

 

Silk then adds, “However, Tai, we've got to remember that we're, now, seriously under our normal strength. There is only the six of us and it's going to take all of we got just to survive to get to Minerva.”

 

Tai takes a large breath and says, “I know, Gatomon. Man! I wish that Matt and the gang were here to help.”

 

Davis sighs, nods his head in agreement, and adds, “I know, Tai. I wished that they were here, too.” But then Davis' and Kari's D-3s and Tai's digivice began to beep wildly. Davis and Kari got to their feet, Davis took out his D-3, and saw six different colored dots on the screen, heading for their position.

 

Tai states, “There are six digivice signals heading towards us!”

 

Kari asks, “Could it be the others?”

 

Davis says, “We can't be sure of that, Kari. They could be Digidestined in like slave nomad tribes like the one we met Terry and his Terriermon in. Be on guard!”

 

Tai adds, “Davis has got a point! We can't be sure that these Digidestined are on our side! Get ready!” Based on their digivices' signals, Davis, Raidramon, Greymon, and Tai turn to the direction of where the other unknown digivice signals are coming from, putting themselves in defense positions with Davis putting his hands on his sword. Kari going behind Davis and Silk going by Kari's side, ready to protect her. Within a few minutes, figures appear from the distance and our Digidestined of Courage and Miracles prepared to fight.

 

But then a familiar male voice calls out, “Hey, Tai! What's happening?! We haven't seen you in four years and you didn't even call!”

 

Tai smiles widely when he hears the voice, knowing who it is, and exclaims, “All right! Matt, you dog, you're here!” Then the figures are revealed to be none other than Matt (21), Ken (19), Joe (22), Izzy (20), Cody (15), all of their Digimon partners, and none other than Gennai. Gennai, the five Digidestined, and their Digimon partners came over to their six human and Digimon comrades.

 

Davis exclaims, happily, “Ken, boy, am I happy to see you!”

 

Ken nods and adds, “Same here, Davis! It has been WAY too long!” Looking over Davis' clothing, he says, “Interesting set of clothes you got there, Davis.”

 

Davis smiles and replies, sarcastically, “Yeah, I decided to go with the old fashioned `Medieval look'.”

 

Ken smirks and responds, “Very funny, Davis.” Ken then looks to see Kari behind Davis, in her scant slave's uniform, and asks, flabbergasted, “Is that Kari, Davis?!”

 

Davis sighs and says, “Yeah, it's a long story, but I can tell you that Kari has been put in this state by. . .” Davis, Tai, Kari, Raidramon, and Silk gasp when they see TK and Patamon beside Gennai, however, back to their normal Digi-World clothing.

 

“TK!” Davis and Tai exclaims angrily, while Kari exclaim it in a fearful tone.

 

Davis prepares to draw his sword, when Matt exclaims, “Whoa! Whoa! Hold on! We know what happened!”

 

Davis stops totally in his tracks and Tai asks Matt, “You do?”

 

Matt nods his head and explains, “Mom contacted me after Davis and his nomad allies `dethroned' her. I was surprised to hear that she and TK were in the Digital World. Gennai managed to open a Digi-Port so that we headed into Wire City and found TK in a medical ward with a stab wound to his side.” Kari lowers her head when Matt mentions the stab wound. Matt then continues with, “When Gennai examined TK, they found that some kind of dark entity has possessed TK's body, controlling him.”

 

Tai asks, “TK was possessed?”

 

Davis states, “I knew it!” When everyone looks at Davis, he says, “I never thought that TK on his own free will would ever harm Kari, no matter how angry he is at her. And when I faced him, I felt some kind of `dark presence' inside of TK's body, but I was too filled with anger at TK to take full notice of it.”

 

Raidramon asks, “What happened next?”

 

Gennai says, “When I tried to remove the `evil spirit' it jumped out of TK's body and flew into the distance and when TK woke up, Patamon was freed from the spell that the `evil spirit' put on it to make sure that Patamon would obey TK even possessed.”

 

Davis nods his head in agreement and asks, “If you know, then do you know about WHO stabbed TK in. . .”

 

Ken replies, in a plain tone, “One of the nomads told us the truth that Kari stabbed TK in the side with your dagger, Davis.”

 

TK then says, in his normal tone of voice, solemnly, “It wasn't like I didn't deserve after all I've done.” TK then looks at Davis and Kari and says, “Davis, Kari, I. . .” But when he takes a step forward, Kari hides behind Davis and cringes in fear. TK stops in his tracks, knowing Kari hasn't recovered from when `he' raped her.

 

Davis says to TK, in a serious tone, “TK, I'm not sure if I can forgive you since it was your jealously, anger, rage, hate, and darkness that the `evil spirit' inside of you used when it forced you to rape Kari like you did.” TK lowers his head in shame. But then Davis says, in the same tone, “However, for our friends' sake, I'm willing to let bygone be bygones, for the moment. But I think that it's best that you stay away from Kari for some time, she has barely begun to recover from the immense emotional trauma with all that you put her through when you were possessed.” TK, solemnly, nods his head in agreement.

 

Joe then asks, “So, Tai, what are you doing here in the Western Sector of the Digital World?”

 

Tai replies, “It's a long story, Joe, but right now, we're trying to rescue Sora, Mimi, and Yolei.” The six Digidestined gasp in shock of Tai's statement.

 

Ken exclaims, “Yolei's here?! Where?!”

 

Davis says, solemnly, “We think that they were taken here around four years ago to the `Valley of Warriors'.”

 

Gennai asks, “The `Valley of Warriors'?” Davis, Tai, Kari, and their three Digimon partners nod their heads in agreement. Gennai says, “Oh dear, that's the home of the fiercest Digimon warriors live. And now, even powerful human warriors, mainly Digidestined, live in that valley. However, many of these warriors have `questionable backgrounds and intentions'.”

 

Davis tells Gennai, “Well, we heard that three female Digidestined were taken to that area around four years ago. And these `three female Digidestined' were from our home of Odaiba.”

 

Matt exclaims, “It's got to be Mimi, Yolei, and Sora! We've got to save them! Who knows what's happening to them?”

 

Davis nods his head in agreement and says, “All right, let's go!”

 

“Right!” everyone else exclaims. Patamon Armor Digivolve to Pegasusmon, Gabumon, Tentomon, Wormmon, and Gomamon digivolve to their Champion forms. Kari, Davis, and Silk go on to Raidramon, Izzy and Gennai board Kabuterimon, and the rest of the gang goes on their Champion Digimon. All of them then head off towards the `Valley of Warriors'.

 

Next time in Chapter 7: Miracles and Courage VS Tainted Love: The most reunited Odaiba Digidestined enters the `Valley of Warriors' and search for our missing Digidestined. However, a Dark Digidestined, an evil Digidestined, who is an evil warlord, sends one of his ninja servants, slave warriors, against them. But the shock is that our Digidestined know this `sex ninja', none other than Sora. However, she has been totally brainwashed and, under orders from her `master', Sora attacks our Digidestined of Miracles. There seems that there's no way to reach Sora. . . that is until Tai joins the battle and something happens to Sora. Can Tai break the spell on Sora and bring her back to normal? Find out next time on Digimon: Digital Monsters!

 

Well, Season two of our story has just started and the action is getting hotter and hotter, in more ways than one. Hopefully, I will be able to bring this chapter out to you and as well as others of my other story.
