Chapter 1: Late!

It's a rainy day at the city of Domino, People are rushing from building to building, and people are fidgeting with their umbrella desperately trying to open it before they get even more water. Rain pounded on the stone payments along with heavy feet, for one blonde hair teenage boy is running against the strong cold rainy wind. "Oh, man!" moaned the teenage. "I am going to be late! Why did I have to oversleep on the biggest day of my best friends life?" The Teenager started to pick up speed as he whizzed past people, the rain poured even harder, People started picking up their pace but no were going faster than the frantic teenager who was getting faster every second. "I'm almost there" said the teenager in relief. In a small building came into a view, the Building was colourful with a big sign saying "Game". Eagar to get out of the poring rain, the Teenager rushed up to the door and knocked it twice. Slowly the door started to open and an elderly man was standing there. "Oh Joey! It's about time you got here," said the old man. "Come on in". The teenager went inside and hung his wet coat up on the coat hanger. "Phew! Thank god I'm out of that rain. I was drowning like a rat out there" said the teenage with glee. "Joey! You're here!" shouted a voice, and a little boy with spiky hair came running into the room. "Where have been, Joey? We've been waiting for you. Where have you been?" asked the little boy. "I'm sorry I'm late Yuug," replied the teenage. "I overslept". "So, Sleeping beauty is here." Said a voice from the other room. A large teenager with Brown hair stepped out of the room where the little boy came from. "Hey Tristan, when did you get here?" asked the Joey. "An hour before you" answered Tristan. "Wise guy" said Joey to Tristan under his breath. They all went into the main room and sat down. Well, Joey slumped down on the chair and sighed. "What a day" sighed Joey. "Poor baby, did all that running wore you out?" teased Tristan. "Give me a break, I had a long stressing day" scowled Joey. "Day? Joey, it's 9:30 in the morning, the day hasn't even started" said Tea. Joey said nothing but just look at his friends. He sighs. "I guess I can't hold it in forever" Said Joey. "Yug, there is a reason why I am late for your birthday". "What is it, Joey?" asked Yugi. Joey put on a smile, "I know this might sound weird but I been in other worlds with loads of monsters, Guys with spiky hair, little hamsters and a stupid jerk!" Replied Joey. They was a long silent in the room. "Joey, That was the worst excuse you ever thought of," Said Tristan. "Even worse then that time you said you were kidnapped by aliens when the school was holding the big test". Joey jumped out of his chair, angry look on his face. "Tristan! I am not making this up" Shouted Joey at the top of his voice. "It really did happen, you got to believe me, and I am not making this up!" "Yeah right, were the aliens in the other world with you too" Said Tea with sarcasm. Joey turns to Yugi, "you believe me right, Yugi?" Joey said to Yugi. Yugi took a long time to answer. "I'm sorry Joey, I don't believe you" answered Yugi sadly. "oh man" groaned Joey as he slumped down back into his chair.
