It was the 1st of August a year had passed since that fateful day when Mimi and Yamato had gotten married. Mimi opened her eyes and found her self wrapped around Yamato.She smiled at him and quietly untangled herself from Yamato and put on her dressing gown then went outside. She yawned as she poured coffee into Yamatos cup for him. Then she heard him shout
“Mimi, wheres my black coat?”
“Right where you left it, on the dressing table” Mimi replied
“Oh yeah, thanks”came the muffled reply.
Yamato came out and smiled at his beautiful wife sitting at the table. He sat down and ate his breakfast. Then his eyes fell on the calendar behind Mimi's chair. His mouth fell open. Today was his anniversary! Oh man he thought how I could forget. But it looks like Mimi has forgotten too by the looks of it. He got up from the table and was kissing Mimi goodbye when his mobile rang. He went outside then answered it and heard and excited voice say
“Hyman it's me Taichi, Happy anniversary!”
“Oh thanks Taichi same to you listen I think Mimi has forgotten it so I was wondering whether you guys could help me throw her a party, please”
“Sure”Tai chi replied a glint in his eye you just bring her to my house around eight...kay?
“Okay”
At 7:30 Mimi was ready in her favorite black dress and wore a white corsage with it.
Hmmmmmmmm she thought why did Yamato want me to be ready by 7:30.But at that very moment Yamato burst into the house. She looked at him in surprise.
“Oh Mimi you are ready” he said
“Um yes, but why?” Mimi replied
“Nothing just come on” he said hurriedly
At 8:00 they were standing outside there friend Taichis house.Yamato knocked at the door. The door opened and he pushed Mimi inside
“Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek”He heard her scream
“Yamato,whats going on” she exclaimed.
Just then the lights turned on and there was a loud chorus of “Happy Anniversary”
Mimi opened her eyes and looked at her friends in surprise. Yamato came behind her grinning.
“Happy Anniversary, sweet heart”
That moment was so sweet that Mimi burst into tears and hugged her husband.
“Oh Yamato you remembered”
“How could I forget the happiest day of my life” He replied
Then kissed his wife.
