After Frontier
Chapter 1- It's You

"What do you think Zoe?"

"I don't know, I'm not sure that color suits you." Zoe answered her blonde friend, frowning quizzically at the green

swimsuit she was wearing.

"Hmmm, I guess you're right." said friend agreed.

"What about me Zoe?" another friend asked, this one brunette and wearing a two piece lavender suit.

"Molto Cool!" Zoe clasped her hands together. "It looks great on you."

"Really? You think so!" the girl turned towards the mirror to see for herself.

"You'd look good in that too Zoe. Why don't you try it one?" the blond asked.

"No thanks. I had an embarrassing experience involving bathing suits a while back and I haven't been really

interested

in them or swimming since."

"Ahhh." the blond nodded knowingly. "Lost your top in a pool."

"NO!" Zoe shouted, face bright red. "That's not even close to what happened!"

"Of course." her friend agreed in obvious disbelief. "Anyway, you can't let one bad experience ruin something for

you.

It's the end of summer and you haven't even gone swimming yet."

She grinned. "And besides, that suit would look really good on you, don't you think so Kali?" she asked, turning

towards the brunette, who was still modeling in front of the mirror.

"I wonder if they have sandals here that would match this? Or a bag, a bag would look perfect." Kali mumbled,

completely ignoring both the blond and Zoe. The blond growled.

"Kali!" she yelled. Kali winced, then turned towards her friend.

"Sara! You don't have to yell!"

"Apparently I do since you obviously can't hear me otherwise!" Zoe sweatdropped and slowly stepped back a few steps

back.

/Why do they do this every time we go shopping?/ she asked herself mentally as the two continued to fight in the

background. Then she smiled. /Oh well, I guess this is just part of having friends./ Kali's bathing suit caught her eye.

/Hmmm, I wonder how that would lo-/ Zoe's thoughts and her friend's argument were interrupted by exclamations of 'wow' and

'cool' coming from the Back-To-School section.

From where she was standing Zoe could just barely see a person over the tops of the racks. A person wearing a strange

headpiece. A very familiar headpiece. "It can't be."Zoe whispered. She raced through the racks towards the person and after

staring for a few seconds her friends followed.

"Zoe! Wait up!"

"Wait for us!"

Zoe pushed her way through the racks until she finally saw the saw the face of the person. A face that stopped her

cold.

"It's you."

"Is this right J.P.?"

"No, you have to hold the cards out toward the audience, otherwise they'll get suspicious, like this." J.P.

demonstrated using the cards he held.

"Oh, right." the amateur magician fixed the cards he was holding in his hand, then held them towards J.P. again.

"How's this?"

"Perfect! Now what you have to do is-" J.P.'s magic lesson was interrupted by scream coming from another part of the

park. "What the?" J.P. stood up from his seat on the sand and ran over to where the scream came from, his friend following.

Once there he saw the last thing he expected. A boy sat on the ground looking absolutely terrified in front of a tall

figure. A figure J.P. never thought he'd see again.

"It's you."

At a nearby soccer field a young black-haired boy picked up a soccer ball. He turned towards his brother and twin.

"We better get going Koji. It's getting dark."

"Yeah, we should-" Koji started to agree but stopped short upon spotting something behind Kouichi, or rather someone.

"Uh, Koji? Are you-" Kouichi was also interrupted, this time by a scream. "What was that?! It sounded like it came

from the Shibuya Park." he said, indicating the park/playground across the street. "Maybe we should go see who it was. What

do you think...Koji?" Koji didn't answer, still staring at something behind his twin.

Kouichi finally turned around and saw for himself what held his brother captivated.

The ball dropped from his hands. In unison, both boys whispered the same thing.

"It's you."

"Where is it?!"

"I don't know but it's got to be here somewhere. Just keep looking."

Mrs. Himi watched her two sons searching the living room frantically with a slight sweatdrop. She was glad they were

finally getting along but this was ridiculous.

"Uh, boys?" Kenji stuck his head out from behind the TV and Tommy popped his up from underneath the couch cushions.

"Don't you think it'd be easier to just turn the TV on by pressing the button 'on' the TV."

The two boys just stared at her. She sweatdropped again.

"Never mind." The doorbell rang. "I'll get it!" Mrs. Himi cried, glad for the interruption. She walked out of the
kitchen towards the front door. Her sons glanced at each other, then shrugged and continued searching.

Mrs. Himi opened the door only to see no one there. "Hello? Oh, how cute!" She cried upon looking down. The 'cute' figure looked up then walked past her into the living room without saying a word. Mrs. Himi stared after him, confused. Then she realized what had happened. "Hey! You can't just walk into my home like that!" She ran after him.

"Hey I found it!" Tommy cried. He climbed out of the couch. "Hey Kenji I-Kenji?" Tommy's brother was staring at the
doorway. Tommy turned towards it and the remote dropped from his hands.

"It's you."

"Another piece of cake please!" Takuya said, holding out his plate.

"Takuya! That was your third one!"

"So?" Takuya's mother sighed.

"Never mind." She cut him another piece and placed it on his outstretched plate. "But," she pointed the rather large knife she was holding at his nose and continued waving it in his face as she spoke. "this is the last one tonight, you got it?"

"Yep, got it. Loud and clear." Takuya agreed nervously. "I'm gonna go eat now." He backed away slowly and sat at the table next to his sleeping brother. Shinya had finally fallen asleep at the table while eating cake after three hours of nonstop movement. Takuya smiled at him and started to eat his fourth piece of cake when he was interrupted by the doorbell.

"Takuya, could you get that?"

"But I haven't finished my-"

"Takuya!" Takuya's mother turned around and unconciously lifted up the knife again. "Get the door!"

"Yes ma'am." Takuya quickly got up and raced for the hallway. Once there he slowed down his pace to a walk. /Man, mom's in a bad mood. But I guess she has been working hard on Shinya's party all day. Probably not the best time to give her...a...knife./ Takuya's thoughts trailed off. He had reached the door and opened it to see someone he'd never thought he'd see again.

"It's you."

Well, there you go, chapter 1. I told you this one would be much longer than the prologue. Those of you who have seen Digimon Frontier probably know who 'you' is so it's not much of a cliffie but I try.
