Hello again. I’m going to skip the intro, because I don’t know what else to say, except that this story ties in with the last one. As usual, my summaries stink. Enjoy the story.
Disclaimer: I don’t own digimon or the Chaos Emeralds, so no one can sue me.
PREVIOUSLY…
“Izzy and Mimi are dating, and have been dating for a while now.”
“Why not a picnic in the digital world? That might cheer him up.”
“So why do I have to leave early again?”
“Whoa, fancy meeting you guys here!”
“Someone will come along, I’m sure of it.”
“So…you broke up with him because he wasn’t rich, and decided to torture him with it?”
“I got powers!”
“If there isn’t anyone out there to care for you, you got a friend in me.”
“I thank you for showing me a good time, but I must go.”
“Tyler, wait!”
“They did WHAT?!”
“I loved you since I first met you.”
“Baka.”
“Emerald of Holiness,” he said sternly in a deep voice. One of the jewels, which was shining white, floated in front of him and hovered about a foot away, pulsing slightly. He put his hand in front of it.
“CHAOS PORTAL!”
The emerald flashed a bright light for a second, and a glass bubble that was outlined with the white light appeared above it.
“Show me what has happened,” he commanded. He watched as the globe displayed a half black, half Japanese person with long braided hair and the build of a skinny mountain go through what should have been just normal human trouble from dealing with a break up to having a new relationship, but as he looked closer, he noticed there was something off about what was happening, as if there were someone controlling the situation. Towards the end of the display, his suspicions were confirmed to a small degree. He watched as the guy started sweating in his sleep, and a dark pink haze floated over his body. The figure furrowed his white eyebrows in concern. The haze disappeared as the guy shot up from his sleep.
“What in the world…?” the figure said to himself as the display switched to later on that day. He watched as there was a brief exchange of words, dealing with the congratulating of the new couple and a pink haired girl’s outburst at another girl with dark stringy hair with two silver strands hanging in the front. He cocked his eyebrow. Something about that girl struck him as oddly familiar, but he couldn’t place where he had seen her. He also noted that the guy had changed his hair color to silver, but retained the two black braids in front of his face. He was pretty much the complete opposite of the girl, but they both shared a likeness, especially since their eyes were the same color. Then his concern grew even more as he watched a twelve year old girl exchanged words with the pink haired one, who was being held back by a guy with red hair. As he listened carefully he was able to tell that it partially wasn’t their voices that were being used, but from someone that had a deeper, more seductive voice. Before he could find out who or what it exactly was, the image died down and the globe disappeared, signifying the end of the playback. The emerald hovered there, pulsing gently.
“Hmm,” the figure said as he grabbed the emerald out of mid air with both hands. The emerald turned into a clear crystal, its energy spent. He got up and placed the jewel back onto its pedestal, where it could charge itself up.
“How long have you been there, Gennai?” the figure asked, not turning around.
“I’ve been here for the duration of the whole thing,” said a tall skinny man that looked like young Anakin Skywalker from the doorway. He had on a white hooded robe that flowed around his ankles, and a black belt around his waist along with soft white shoes. White gloves also adorned his hands. “What do you think is happening, Blind?” he asked, stepping into the dark room.
“I don’t know as of yet, but I do have my theories,” Blind turned around toward Gennai. “You know I can see your true form through that disguise, there’s no need for you to do that.”
Gennai chuckled. “Sorry,” he said. “Ever since I gave Azulongmon back his power core, I’ve been missing my younger days.”
“I’m sure you do,” said Blind as Gennai’s body glowed a pale white light. His body shrunk to half size, and his form hunched over slightly. The glow died down, and revealed Gennai in his older form, in which he was wearing a blue coat with red trim and red shoulder pads with two belts crossing in the front and buckled by a silver buckle and tubes sticking out of his back, red gloves and shoes, and blue socks. His eyes were completely closed, and what little hair he had was tied into a pony tail with a red band, and he had a long white mustache on his lip. Whenever he spoke two teeth could be seen.
“Is this better?” he asked in an old rusty voice.
“Much,” Blind said. “As I was saying, I have a few theories as to what is happening. One of which stands out from the rest.”
“Which is?”
“I believe that he’s being manipulated by someone or something.”
“Do you think it’s Sara?”
“I highly doubt it. The Chaos Emerald of Spirit would have alerted me if something was up about her. Besides, a digidestined wouldn’t be manipulated by their own power.”
“Ken was.”
“Ken had a Dark Spore implanted inside of him. We can’t count that as such.”
“Hmm,” Gennai rubbed his chin in thought. “Who or what do you think is causing this?”
“I‘m not sure. Listening to the voice, I would highly doubt if it was a digimon. True, there are some out there that can take over a human host, but they can’t take over a sentient being with a high power level such as Tyler. It’s something else, something that’s not even in this world or the real world at all.”
Gennai’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. “You don’t suppose it’s ‘her’, do you?
“I hope not,” Blind said with a sigh. “She’s the last person we need to deal with right now.”
“Blind, is there something troubling you?” Gennai suddenly asked, noticing the solemn look on his face.
“Yes, actually,” Blind said, not willing to hold anything back. “The girl with the two silver strands. She reminds me of someone I have seen before, yet I can’t place where I’ve seen her.”
“You mean Sara?” Gennai asked.
“Yes.”
“That’s odd.”
“That’s not the only thing,” said Blind. “In recent months I have been monitoring increasing digimon activity. Something has them riled up and in a panic. I got word from Agumon the other day that Leomon has been going through a digital phase. He keeps digivolve into Saberleomon and back again. Whenever he digivolves, he tends to go on a rampage, slashing at anything and everything in his way, no matter how powerful.”
“What do you propose we should do about it?” Gennai asked, concern written on his features.
“We really can’t do anything right now, except pray that no one gets hurt in the process. As of now, I’m a bit concerned about the group. I’m even more concerned about the two girls, Kari and Mimi, and what do they have to do with Tyler’s ordeal.”
“You should already know what Mimi has to do with the situation.”
“True, but it’s something more than that.”
“What?”
“She and Kari were being controlled, albeit for a while now. The problem is, no one suspected it.”
“What do you mean controlled?”
“If you paid close attention to the recording, you would notice that they weren’t using their own voices. If anything, they were being used as avatars for the speaker of the voice. I don’t have any real theory as to why it chose them to begin with, but I venture to guess that since Mimi and Tyler were together at some point, It would naturally choose Mimi as its host.”
“And since Kari’s the Child of Light, her own dormant powers were used as a gateway to travel here, thus being able to manipulate their minds.”
“Indeed,” Blind leaned against the table where the emeralds were and crossed his arms. “Which brings up more questions. Why Tyler, for instance?”
“Maybe it only goes after sentient beings?” Gennai suggested.
“Unlikely,” said Blind, dismissing the idea. “From what we’ve seen and heard, this being is sentient as well. If Sara has anything to do with it, this may be a case study. Them coming together may have been the biggest connection it needed to fully come into this world.”
“What if this being is a creation of Tyler’s subconscious mind, stemming from all of the grief he has suffered?”
“It may be possible,” Blind answered. “But not likely. I’ve studied the Bearer of Loyalty for a long time. Even when his body is dormant, he still has control of his powers. The Lady of Virtue can pretty much do the same thing, but on a slightly lower level. I believe that since they are together now, her abilities have stretched to match Tyler’s. I wish the other children would take the time to flourish their powers as well.”
“If they only knew about them,” Gennai stated.
“They will in time,” said Blind. “Now as for the increase in digimon activity, I believe it’s somehow connected.”
“How so?”
“Did you notice how that as soon as all of this started, right when Mimi left Tyler for Izzy and he started going through his emotional state, that more and more digimon started becoming a bit more restless each passing day?”
“That would explain the fight breakouts, and digimon digivolving and de-digivolving unexpectedly.”
“Precisely. Whomever this being is, it’s affecting not only the lives of the destined, but of this world as well. We need to find out who it is and put a stop to them. And I think the best place to start is within Tyler’s mind.”
“What are you going to do? Probe his mind and draw them out?”
“No, actually,” Blind said, slightly surprising the old man. “I’m actually going to send the destined into his mind to destroy the threat before it gets too big. Of course, it will be very difficult if they aren’t prepared. That’s why I want to ask you, Gennai, if you could call them here so I can talk to them.”
“I can do that,” said Gennai. “But are you sure that you are able to send them into another person’s mind?”
“I’ve been studying alchemy for decades,” said Blind, looking back at the emeralds. “Nothing is entirely certain in its works. The only thing that practitioners have to look upon is faith, and optimism. The Chaos Emeralds help me to take my research to further heights, which gives me an unfair advantage to other alchemists.” He turned back to Gennai. “Nevertheless, I am one hundred percent sure that this will work, provided they have the proper training.”
“And what better a trainer than someone that knows the ins and outs of alchemy,” said Gennai with a smile.
Blind smiled back at him. “It’s more than that as well. Walking into a mind such as Tyler’s is like walking into a parallel reality by itself, and it requires various types of training as well. But wherein most sentient beings there is only one reality, Tyler is composed of many, about seven in all. And all of them have the same concept: Life.”
“How is it that Tyler became a sentient being? It didn’t just develop over the years, did it?”
“It did, actually. Believe it or not, Tyler is a practitioner of alchemy, but in his own way. Problem is, he doesn’t realize it. His dad was an alchemist as well, except he knew about it.”
“That would explain the tea making.”
“Yes. Tyler’s powers fully flourished in the fight between him and Asmodaimon, which I am sure you know about?”
Gennai nodded his head.
“That lead to him being able to create different types of tea through the study of martial arts.”
“Do you think Sara is a sentient being?”
“No, unfortunately. Even though she was born with her powers as well, she was never exposed to alchemy, or the study of it. Thus, reveling her as a norm.”
“But wouldn’t her and Tyler coming together count her as one?”
Blind shook his head. “It’s not the same. One needs to study alchemy for years before they become one. I, myself, am a sentient being as well, but a recluse in my own way.”
“Mmm,” Gennai nodded in understanding. “I’ll go contact the destined and have them come here,” he said, turning to leave.
“Have them bring their respective companions as well,” Blind called to him. “They are tied in this too.”
“How so?” Gennai asked, turning around.
“I’ll explain it later.”
Gennai nodded his head. “Okay,” he said, turning to leave again. Blind turned back to the emeralds.
“Hey, Blind?” Gennai said, catching Blind’s attention.
“Yes?”
“Thanks.”
Blind smiled. “Anything for an old friend,” he said as Gennai smiled back and left the room. Blind looked at the chaos emeralds and thought for a second. ‘Just one more thing left to do,’ he thought. He stepped back several paces.
“Emeralds of Chaos,” he commanded. All seven emeralds floated off their posts and hovered in front of him. He put his hands up in front of them, and determination set on his face.
“CHAOS CONTROL!”

“Kari, wake up!” Tai said, shaking his sister.
“Ohh…” Kari stirred slowly. “Ow…my head,” She grabbed the sides of her head as Tai helped her stand up. “What happened?”
“That’s what we want to know,” said Tai. “You were confronting Mimi about her attitude, and suddenly you passed out.”
“”Why did you look at Tyler the way you did?” Davis asked.
“Like what?” Kari asked, looking over at Tyler who was still in a stupor. Sara was there as well, trying to snap him out of his trance.
“Tyler, talk to me,” Sara said, shaking him slightly. Tyler slowly turned his head to her, a haunted look on is face.
“What’s happening?” she asked him
“Did you dream last night, Sara?” Tyler asked her unexpectedly.
“Huh?”
“Did you dream last night?” Tyler repeated.
“Uh, yeah. Why?”
“Did your dream have anything to do with my subconscious entering your mind?”
“…not that I know of,” Sara said, shaking her head slowly.
“What was it that you dreamed?”
“All I can remember dreaming about was chocolate covered bunnies. What does this have to do with anything?”
Tyler told her and everyone about the disturbing succubus dream he had last night.
“It felt so real,” he said, when he finished. “I couldn’t tell if I was either sleeping, or awake, or both.”
“It was just a dream,” Ken said. “It’ll go away soon.”
“It wasn’t just a dream,” Tyler stated. “She knew everything about me and Sara. And when she told me about my essence flowing into Sara, I immediately thought an incubus was after her.”
Davis was about to say something when his D-terminal started beeping. He took it out of his pocket and opened it up.
“Hey, it’s from Gennai,” he said.
“What does it say?” TK asked.
“He wants us to come to his house. Says there’s something we need to know.”
“Wonder what it is,” Yolei said.
“One more thing,” Davis said. “He wants us to bring our respective companions with us.”
“Does he mean our digimon?” Tai asked. Everyone shrugged. Davis’ D-terminal beeped again, and he took a look at the screen.
“ ‘No Tai, you idiot. I mean your girlfriends and/or boyfriends’,” he read off.
“Hey!” Tai blurted out.
“Why does he want us to come along?” Trinity asked.
“I guess we won’t find out until we get there,” Sora said.
“I’ll skip out on this one,” said Joe. “I don’t fit in the category of companion.”
“You’re coming too, Joe,” Tai said.
“Everyone’s coming,” Tyler said. “No one’s skipping out on anything. Not even the two of you, Izzy and Mimi.”
“We have to get back to America,” Izzy said. “We won’t have any time to go there.”
“If you’ve paid more attention to your surroundings, you’d notice something quite amiss,” Tyler said, looking around. Jun looked up and gasped audibly. Everyone glanced up and their faces fell in pure shock. A bird that was apparently flying by was hanging suspended in mid air, as if frozen in a picture. They looked around the park, noticing several other deformities. People who were either walking or running were frozen in their positions, some in mid stride. Cars that passed by on the street stayed where they were. Children at play stood poised like real life statues, with a ball sitting in the air between them. Everywhere it was still life, and the only things that were able to move were the group.
“What’s going on?” Tai asked to no one in particular.
“A decision that’s being made for us,” Ken said. “Looks like we have no choice but to go to Gennai’s house.”
“But how will we get there?” asked Kari. “Someone has to operate Izzy’s computer.”
“Time has been frozen,” Tyler said. “There won’t be anyone to mess with it.”
“But how long will time be frozen?” Sara asked.
“No clue,” Tyler said. “And we really won’t get any answers by staying here. Izzy, turn on your computer.”
“Wait, how did you know that I had it in the first place?” Izzy asked. Everyone looked at him deadpanned.
“Okay, okay!” Izzy said, taking off his backpack and digging out the laptop. As soon as he turned it on, the screen shot out a blinding green light, which temporarily blinded the group. They put their hands up in front of their eyes and yelped in surprise. When they were able to see again, they looked around and noticed that they weren’t in the real world anymore, but in the digital world. For some reason, it appeared to be slightly darker than usual.
“Uh, how did we get here?” Davis asked, looking around.
“And why is everything so dark?” TK asked.
“Is this what the digital world supposed to look like?” Trinity asked Cody.
“Not at all,” Cody said, looking at the dark blue sky that seemed to swirl with dark mists.
‘Something’s wrong,’ Tyler thought to Sara. ‘It shouldn’t be like this.’
‘I know,’ Sara thought back. ‘I just hope Dynamon’s okay.’
‘Do you think this is all connected?’
‘With what?’
‘With what I told you.’
‘What would make you think that?’
‘Just a hunch.’
“Hey, Izzy?” Tai asked, turning to Izzy. “How far are we from Gennai’s house?”
“Let me check,” Izzy said, bringing out his digivice. “Hmm, we seem to be pretty close. About three hundred yards west.”
“Then let’s get going,” Tai said, heading off in the general direction that Izzy pointed out.
“Wait, what about our digimon?” Davis asked.
“Yeah, where are they?” Kari asked.
“Come to think of it,” Joe said worriedly. “Where are all of the digimon?” Suddenly, the answer to his question showed up as an Ogremon charged out of the bushes in front of them with its club raised, ready to attack. On instinct, Tyler and Sara positioned themselves in front of the group, poised and ready to attack.
“NOVA BLAST!”
A giant fireball appeared out of nowhere and slammed into the side of the Ogremon, sending him flying towards a tree. He slammed into the tree and fell to the ground, reverting back to Goblinmon. It scrambled up onto its feet, looked at the digidestined, and scampered off into the woods. The digidestined turned to see Greymon standing over them, with the rest of the digimon coming up behind him.
“Greymon?” Tai asked, incredulously. “How did you digivolve?!”
“I’m not sure, Tai,” Greymon said. “Things have been getting out of hand these past few days.” He reverted back to Agumon, and greeted Tai as the other digimon went to their partners.
“Joe, how ya been?” Gomamon asked Joe, hopping into his arms. Joe noticed that Gomamon had considerably less gusto in his greeting as he usually did.
“Are you okay, Gomamon?” Joe asked his friend.
“I’ll be fine,” Gomamon answered with a smile. “I’m just glad to see you right now.”
“Are all of you able to digivolve like Agumon?” Sora asked Biyomon.
“Believe it or not, yes,” the pink bird digimon answered.
“Something’s affecting the digital world’s data,” Dynamon said from on top of Sara’s head. “We figured it could be some sort of virus.”
“It could be some evil digimon tampering with the system,” Gatomon said. “Something far darker than anything we ever had to face.”
“How so?” Kari asked.
“More and more digimon are getting riled up for no reason, and recently they, as well as us, have been digivolving all on their own.”
“That’s weird.”
“Say, what are you guys doing here anyway?” Tentomon asked.
“We were heading off to see Gennai,” Izzy answered.
“Really?! So were we.”
“For what?”
“To see if he has any answers to what’s going on,” Agumon said. “From what we can fathom we’re the only sane creatures in the entire digital world.”
“You mean every digimon in the digi world is acting strange?” Davis asked.
“Yep, that’s just about it,” Veemon said.
“Let’s go ahead and get to Gennai’s, everyone,” Tai said. “We can talk along the way.” He headed off with everyone else falling in step behind him.
****************************************************************** ****************
“How did you get here, Trinity?” Armadillomon asked Trinity.
“The same way as everyone else,” Trinity answered. “Though I’m not too sure as to why I’m even here.”
“We’ll find out soon enough,” said Cody. “Jun’s here too. She’s up there with TK and Davis.”
“Really?” Armadillomon looked ahead and saw Jun. “Hmm, things really are getting strange if Jun was let in as well.”
“Armadillomon!” Cody said in exasperation as Armadillomon and Trinity laughed.
“Kari, are you okay?” Gatomon asked Kari.
“Huh?” Kari broke out of the transfixed state she was in, and suddenly noticed that she had been staring vehemently at Tyler’s back. She looked down at the cat digimon in her arms and noticed the concern in her eyes.
“I’m fine, why do you ask?” she said, not trusting her own words.
“Because you had been burning holes in Tyler’s back for more than five minutes,” Gatomon said. “Did something happen in the real world recently?”
“Only that time stopped, and I said some pretty weird things to Mimi,” Kari said, looking down. “The scary thing is, I can’t remember what it was that I said.”
“Boy, that is weird,” said Gatomon.
“So you guys are a couple now?” Smilomon asked Tyler from his shoulder.
“Yeah, we’ve finally caved into it,” Tyler said with a grin.
“Actually, he caved in,” Sara said. “All I did was give him the extra push that he needed.”
“Must have been a mighty big push,” Dynamon said, which made them laugh. Suddenly, Tyler’s face stiffened, and his eyes flashed silver for a second. He grunted in confusion and annoyance.
“What’s wrong, Tyler?” Smilomon asked.
“I felt it again,” Tyler said. “It’s somewhere close by, but at the same time, it feels so far away.” His eyebrows narrowed in consternation. “It’s gone now.”
“This is really nerve-wreaking,” Sara said. “Every time you get the chance to smile, that presence comes along and shoots you right back down.”
“It’ll be over soon,” Tyler said, giving Sara a small hug. “We’ll find a way to beat whatever is happening.”
“I hope so,” Dynamon said, clutching her black scaly hand into a fist. “And when we find out who’s doing this, we’ll beat them down. Hard.”
“When did you start working out, Izzy?” Tentomon asked, noticing Izzy’s arms.
“Well, I started about a month back,” Izzy said. “I got tired of being too weak to fight, so I decided to boost my metabolism.”
“I see you also cut down on the geek language, too,” said Palmon, walking next to Mimi. “Isn’t that right, Mimi?”
Mimi didn’t answer. She was busy staring at Sara rather angrily, although her face showed no emotion. She also seemed to pale slightly in color, and her brown eyes had a barely noticeable red tint to them.
“Mimi?” Palmon asked, worriedly.
“Huh?” Mimi snapped out of her trance. The paleness of her skin went away, as did the red tint in her eyes. She looked down at Palmon, who had a worried frown on her face.
“What is it, Palmon?” she asked.
“Are you okay, Mimi?” Palmon asked.
“Yes, why?”
“Because you’ve been acting strange since you got here.”
“I second that notion,” Tentomon chimed in. “It may be nothing, but there is something strange going on about you.”
“It’s just been a rough week,” Izzy said, quickly trying to drop the subject to protect his girlfriend. “It’ll be over soon.”
“I can’t wait,” Mimi said, dreamily. “When I get home, I’m going to do some major shopping!”
“Is it too late to take my statement back?” Palmon asked, drawing grins from Izzy and Tentomon.
“How did you two hook up, anyway?” Patamon asked TK from on top of Jun‘s head.
“You may find it strange, but it was through my brother,” TK answered.
“Really?”
“Actually, I’ve always liked TK. I was just too scared to tell him, because of what others might say,” Jun said, grabbing Patamon off of her head and cradling him in her arms. “So, to save face, I tried dating Matt for a bit. It just wasn’t the same feeling as when I first saw TK, though.” She leaned her head on TK’s shoulder, and TK kissed her on her forehead.
“Oh, good grief!” Davis and Veemon exclaimed, faking a gag reflex.
“Hey! We don’t say anything when you and Kari are trading saliva with each other,” TK said.
“That’s because we do it a lot better,” Davis said with a grin.
“Oh, please!” Jun and TK said.
“So how’s everything been going here, Wormmon?” Ken asked.
“Everything’s been great,” said the green caterpillar digimon. “Well, until recently, that is.”
“To say the least, it hasn’t been the greatest of days,” said Hawkmon. “We still haven’t figured out how we are able to digivolve on our own.”
“When did it start?” Yolei asked.
“Only a few days ago. We’ve been getting these very weird surges of energy that seemed to emanate out of nowhere. Agumon was the first one to digivolve. Then it was Smilomon. Gabumon was the last one to digivolve.”
“Where is Gabumon anyway?” Ken asked.
“That’s another thing,” Wormmon said. “As soon as we started heading to Gennai’s house, he just suddenly disappeared into thin air.”
“Did he delete?”
“No, he just simply disappeared, like a bubble that popped.”
“This is really weird,” Yolei said. “First Kari yells at Mimi, and now this.”
“What did she say?” Hawkmon asked.
“Uh, what did she say Ken?” Yolei asked Ken.
“Hmm,” Ken thought for a second. “Funny, I…I can’t remember.”
“Neither can I. Do you think that light had anything to do with this?”
“Maybe,” said Ken. “We’ll see when we get to Gennai’s.”
“So what do you think about all of this, Tai?” Sora said.
“Honestly Sora, I really don’t know what to think,” Tai said. “Frankly, this is all very confusing. And for some reason, I get the feeling that I’m forgetting something that just happened recently.”
“Like what?”
“I’m not sure, but I think it had something to do with Kari telling Mimi something.”
“You know, I’m getting the same feeling.”
“Something’s definitely not right here,” Tai said. “Hey, Agumon. What was it you were telling me about Leomon going on a rampage?”
“He kept digivolving into Saberleomon at inopportune times,” said Agumon. “Whenever he did, his eyes would get all glossy and feral, and he would just become a mindless beast, attacking anything in sight.”
“I take it you’ve encountered him, then?”
“Yeah, and I got the scar to prove it.” He rubbed at the long black scar that ran from his shoulder to the base of his tail. Tai grimaced as he looked at it.
“He’s not the only one,” Biyomon said. “Any high level digimon that can digivolve into a stronger form has been pretty much doing the same thing.”
“That’s terrible,” Sora said.
“Good thing we haven’t encountered any so far then,” Joe said, coming up behind them with Gomamon in his arms.
“You’d probably be the first to let us know,” Gomamon said, grinning at Joe.
“What do you mean by that?” Joe asked him with a raised eyebrow. Gomamon just smiled widely and chuckled at him.
“Hey, Izzy! How far do we have to go?” Tai called back.
“Hang on,” Izzy said as he pulled out his digivice. “It should be just ahead of us.”
“Finally! My feet were starting to hurt!” Mimi whined.
“This from the same girl who shops till everyone else drops,” Gomamon murmured. Sora and Tai stifled a giggle. The group emerged out of the forest and came face-to-rock with a giant boulder sitting at the entrance to the lake.
“Hey, who put this boulder here?!” Tai said, planting a foot on it fiercely.
“Uh, Tai?” said Agumon, looking up. “I don’t think you should-”
His sentence was cut off as the boulder started to move up, way up, until it was standing on two massive legs. Its head was covered with a dark bluish gray helmet, and on its back were two giant spikes sticking straight up, and two large open pores on its shoulders. Its hands and feet were wrapped up with bandages, as well as its biceps. It turned toward the group with thundering footsteps, and looked down upon them with expressionless eyes.
“It’s a Golemon!” cried Gomamon.
“Everyone back into the forest!” Tai cried. There was a mad rush for the forest.
“ROCK BALL!”
A massive ball shaped rock formed between the Golemon’s hands. He tossed this at the entrance of the forest, thus blocking their escape route.
“Okay, now what?” Joe asked, panicking.
“We fight,” Tyler said. Everyone turned to see the Golemon coming after them.
“GOLEM PUNCH!” he cried. Everyone screamed as the Golemon’s large fist came directly for them--and was promptly stopped by and equally strong Tyler. There was a deafening boom as the fist made contact with Tyler’s hands. Tyler grunted under the strength that the Golemon was pouring into the punch.
‘Time to put it into overdrive,’ Tyler thought. His eyes turned completely silver as he added more strength to his body. He began pushing the Golemon back, causing it to make large trenches in the ground. The Golemon seemed to notice this, and started pushing back in the same manner, causing Tyler to dig up dirt as well. Suddenly the Golemon raised its other fist, ready to strike Tyler while he was occupied with his one hand.
“TYLER!” Sara shouted, seeing this. She rushed forward, her eyes turning completely black, ready to stop the Golemon from attacking Tyler.
“GOLEM PUNCH!”
“HAMMER KICK!”
The Golemon was suddenly sent flying off to the side by a very strong attack. It crashed through the trees, tearing up the ground and creating a lot of dust. In the midst of the debris, there was a bright flash as the Golemon de-digivolved. When everything cleared, a lone Gotsumon was seen running from the scene, holding its head.
“Uh,” TK said. “What did we just miss?”
“I guess we were just saved,” Sora said.
“Yeah, but by who?” Yolei asked.
“By me,” said a smooth, deep voice. Everyone turned to see a man standing before them clad in a white robe with a dragon on it, and a blindfold tied around his eyes. A white dress hat rested on his head. He looked at the group with interest.
“Salutations, Children of Destiny,” He said, bowing at the waist. “It is a pleasure to finally meet you.”
“The pleasure is ours,” Tyler said as he and Sara bowed in the same manner. Everyone exchanged looks with each other. “And whom might you be?”
“My name is Blind,” Blind said, introducing himself.
“We thank you for saving us, Blind,” Sara said. “Do you know Gennai?”
“Yes, he is an old friend of mine. I asked him to call you here because we have much to discuss.”
“Will you be able to tell us what has been happening in the digital world, and as to why we can digivolve on our own?” Smilomon asked.
“I will tell you what I know,” said Blind. “But not out here. Come, let us descend into Gennai’s house.” With that, he turned towards the edge of the lake, which promptly opened up to reveal a long set of stairs going downward.
The group looked at each other, then at the retreating forms of Tyler, Sara, their digimon, and Blind. Sometimes, they just couldn’t figure out those two.
“Uh, did we just miss something, Davis?” TK asked Davis as they followed everyone down the stairs.
“Not that I know of,” Davis answered. “I get the feeling that this is going to be a big adventure, though.”
Here is the first chapter to my next story. I hope you enjoy it.
“Baka.”
Chapter 1: Revelations
In a dark room that was in the disguise of a small laboratory somewhere in the digital world, a muscular male figure sat in front of a row of large jewels of seven different colors. The figure was dark tan in color, and had on a long white Chinese robe that had rounded splits with a golden trim at the legs and a black dragon circling the body, white silk pants that were slightly baggy and hugged his ankles, and soft black shoes. White gloves adorned his hands, and a white blindfold was tied around his eyes. His pearly white hair reached down to his upper back, and was tied into a tail. He gazed at the jewels for a second before deciding which one to use.“Emerald of Holiness,” he said sternly in a deep voice.
******************************************************* ****************************
