Kiah- Hey everyone!! This is my first digimon fic soooo yah… oh and this fic takes place three years after everyone gets back from the digital plain.

JP- Am I in this fic?

Tommy- what about me?

Kiah- don't worry everyone turns up somewhere in the fic!

Kouichi- yay!

Kiah- ok who is doing the disclaimer?

Zoe- I will! Ok Kiah does not own digimon…. If she did I think we would all have lost our sanity.

Kiah- that's not nice!! Oh well, on with the fic!

Chapter One

Takuya's Problems

Takuya opened his eyes and stretched out on his bed savoring the last few minutes that he had before he had to wake his brother up for school. Takuya's alarm clock went off a little while later and he lugged himself out of bed. He put on a red shirt and black shorts with pyro down the side in red and put a scarf around his head (An: not like Kouji's but more like a rectangle band thing) that was red and black. He then went into his brother's room and shook him awake.

Takuya- c'mon Shinya rise and shine! We have to get you to school!

Shinya rolled over to glare at his brother.

Shinya- it's not fair! How come your school starts later?

Takuya got some clothes ready for his sleepy little brother and ruffled his hair affectionately.

Takuya- well mainly because our school is longer and tougher than yours bro!

Shinya got out of bed and positioned himself so that Takuya couldn't see his right hand. Takuya of course noticed this and grabbed his hand and looked at it. In the middle of Shinya's palm there was a big cut that ran all the way across his hand. Takuya looked at his little brother seriously.

Takuya- where did you get this Shinya?

Shinya pulled his hand from Takuya's and tears started to roll down his face.

Shinya- Mr. Okata struck me the other day.

Takuya- why? What did you do?

Shinya- ever since mom died I've started to break down during school. I broke down yesterday during a math test and I got the paper all wet with my tears. We aren't allowed to leave our seats during the class time so I stayed there and Mr. Okata got mad and struck me.

Takuya pulled Shinya into a hug and tried to calm him down.

Takuya- don't worry Shinya I'll talk to him and get you into another class ok?

Shinya nodded and got dressed as Takuya made lunches for him and Shinya and got some toast cooked for breakfast. Soon Shinya came in looking tired and depressed. Takuya forced a smile onto his face and gave Shinya his toast.

Takuya- how about this Shinya? I'll call you in sick today and you can come to school with me.

Shinya obviously cheered up and bounced out the door. Takuya sighed and followed Shinya and dialed a number on his cell phone.

Takuya- hello this is Takuya Kanbara, Shinya Kanbara's older brother. I'm calling him in sick today. Oh and while I'm on the phone can you connect me to Mr. Okata's room? Thanks a lot. Mr. Okata? Hi this is Takuya Kanbara. I'm calling to talk to you about the assault on my younger brother.

Okata- what about it?

Takuya- don't you think that it's wrong to strike a young child for grieving the loss of his mother?

Okata- no. Kids should learn to get over it. No amount of crying can bring someone back so why bother?

Takuya felt his blood boil.

Takuya- Mr. Okata do you have no heart? As from this day forward I am withdrawing my brother from your class.

With that established Takuya hung up the phone and kept walking after Shinya. A little while later they reached Takuya's school and Takuya headed to the office.

Takuya- Mrs. Kila?

Mrs. Kila stepped out of a room and walked over to the two Kanbara brothers.

Kila- what can I do for you Takuya?

Takuya- Mr. Okata struck Shinya so I withdrew him from his class. Can my brother stay with me for the day?

Kila- I don't know Takuya. You and three other schools are going to the high schools to check out which ones you want to go to next year.

Takuya nodded and looked at his little brother.

Takuya- he'll behave won't you Shinya?

Shinya- of course I will! I promise not to interfere and not to leave my brother's sight.

Mrs. Kila smiled and filled out a visitors pass and put it on Shinya's shirt.

Kila- there you go Shinya! Just don't take it off ok? Oh and Takuya make sure it is fine with your teacher!

Takuya- I will and thanks Mrs. Kila!

Takuya and Shinya walked off to Takuya's first class and once there Takuya made sure it was ok with the teacher, Mr. Whim, before taking a seat in the back and pulling up a chair for Shinya.

Whim- ok class settle down! Now I want you to say hello to Takuya's little brother, Shinya.

All the class looked back at a suddenly shy Shinya and the girls gasped. One girl, named Brittney, gasped at the sight of the two.

Brittney- OMG! He's a miniature hottie!! I thought there was only one person with good looks like Taki but there are two?

Shinya leaned over to whisper to Takuya.

Shinya- Taki?

Takuya- it's a name all the girls use for me.

Mr. Whim cleared his throat and continued.

Whim- anyways you will be in a group with three other people from different schools. I will now read you your groups.

He read the groups and eventually he reached Takuya's name.

Whim- ok Takuya you will be with Zoe, JP, and Kouji and Kouji's brother Kouichi.

Takuya looked at him unable to hide his joy. He hadn't seen the others in three years and was kind of missing them. Suddenly his joy faded as he remembered all that had happened over those three years.

Whim- Takuya your group will be waiting for you in room 444.

Takuya bowed, got up, took Shinya's hand, and slowly walked out the door to room 444.

Kiah- Wow this chapter only took an hour to write!!

JP- yay for you!!

Takuya- hey no fair Kiah you make me sound so dark!

Kouji- yah that's my job!

Kiah- to make Takuya seem dark or to be dark or maybe I'm the dark one and you are both green!

Takuya + Kouji- huh? *sweatdrop*

Kouichi- R&R please!!

Kiah- hey I wanted to say that!
