ML: Finally. My first fic on here in such a long time. Not to mention my first takari in a long while!

TK: So, what took ya?

ML: Academic reasons.

Kari: Oh, I got it. So, what's the plot?

ML: This is yet another songfic from me. This time, it's to Mandy Moore's "Crush".

Tai: Bold choice.

ML: Why thank you, Tai. Anyway, here's the disclaimer: "I don't own Digimon since that is owned by Bandai, Toei

animation, and Fox Kids. I also don't own "Crush", since that is owned by both Mandy Moore and Sony." TK?

TK: "Concerning ages, they are as follows: Kari, Davis and me, 17. ML, Yolei and Ken, 18. Tai, Sora, Matt, and Mimi,

20." Kari?

Kari: "If you don't like either the song or the coupling, leave now. Don't say ML didn't warn you, 'cause he did!"

It was a late Friday evening in Odaiba. Almost the whole town was asleep, even me. However, there was at least one bedroom light still on in the whole town, and that bedroom light happened to be that of Kari Kamiya's. For the last week or so, she had been thinking about TK. Kari had thought of the same thing every night and day: "Does he feel for me like I feel for him?" He had been her best friend for all her life. He knew everything about him. However, Kari was so shy because she just couldn't admit her feelings for her best friend, and not to mention someone else just might beat her to the punch because every girl in the school the two went to had a crush on TK.

And I'm to shy to say

Sometimes, TK would call up Kari for a friendly talk. But for Kari, she wished that sometimes, it would be more than just friendly. Not to mention she'd wish that everyone would just disappear and leave the two with some quality time to themselves via the phone. Every time that happened, she was just to scared to be herself, and she'd struggle with finding the correct words. It was way obvious that Kari had a crush on TK.

You know, I'm the one that you can talk to

And sometimes you tell things that I don't want to know

At school, during the lunch break, TK and Kari would happen to talk a bit, and TK would feel at ease, since he was talking with Kari, his best friend ever since they were 8. Since they first met during their first time in the Digiworld. As the two would talk, I would say to Davis, "You know, those two would make quite a couple, only if Kari would admit her feelings to TK." Davis said, "You said it, ML." While they were talking, Kari thought, "TK, I wish I could hold you in my arms."

And I wonder, could you ever think of me that way

The next few days, TK and Yolei would walk each other to class, and TK would talk about his feelings for Yolei to Kari. Kari would just think, "I wish you'd feel for me that way, TK." The days after that, Yolei and TK broke up their supposed relationship, and Yolei started dating Ken. That left Kari with a smile on her face, and she burned with both love and happiness. Her love for TK had now reached the point where she had to blurt it out to somebody.

Kari decided she needed to talk to someone on the subject, and she tried almost everybody. Sora couldn't help her, Tai couldn't help her, Davis couldn't help, and not to mention almost every DD in town couldn't help the girl. That's when I came into the fray. I said, "It's about TK, right?" Kari said, "Yeah. I don't want to admit it, but now I want to." I said, "I talked to Matt, and I got an Idea. How about you sing at one of his shows?" Kari took the chance and said, "Sure. I hope TK's there!"

Meanwhile, on Saturday night, Matt's concert came up, and it was before the last song. Matt said, "I hope you guys have enough energy in you, because here's a little treat for you. Here's my special guest performer, Kari Kamiya!!" She said, "TK, this is for you." TK listened with interest, but there was this one little verse that got his attention real good.

TK, without thinking, ran down to the stage. He then grabbed Kari in his arms and asked, "You really do?" Kari said, "Oh yeah, baby. I do." TK said, "You know what? I have the same thing for you as you do for me. Will you be my boyfriend?" Kari said, "Oh TK, I thought you'd never ask me!!" She then kissed the guy right in front of the fans. I then told Davis, "It's about time." He said, "Yeah, I got what you mean."
