Daiken christmas special

:: I woke up realizing that it was Christmas Eve. I was very excited cause i would get to go to Ken-chan's... i mean, Ken's house for a party.

Who am i fooling? I've been in love with Ken ever since i've known him, and those feelings grow stronger everyday. I used to think that Ken felt the same way.It's just they way we act around each other. i KNOW it goes further than just being best friends.::

Daisuke Ken's on the phone for you! (

"I'll be right there, Mom!" i quckly get up and run to the phone. "Ken?"

Yeah, it's me. Hey I just called to tell you that the party is starting earlyer tonight. Since my mom told me she left at 7 instead of 8 I thought we could start the party

"Really?" I felt my heart lift. More time to be with Ken. "So, you gonna tell me what you got me?"

Ken grinned. nop, if I did I would spoil al the fun wouldn't I. No Daisuke you'll have to wait until tonight

I groaned. "You're no fun, Ken!" I paced around the room. I just couldn't seem to keep still. Must be cause i'm going to see Ken. I was hoing he'd like what i was getting him.

i was very lucky to have found it. And VERY lucky it was on sale. It was an autographed picture of Ken's favorite soccer(football) team.

Ken giggled. No Daisuke, don't be so unpatient. You'll see it tonight. Well got to hang up now cause I need to get dressed and get all the stuff ready before you guys arrive

"Okay. I guess i'll see you then." I relunctantly hung up the phone. I smiled to myself. "I'm going to Ken's house, I'm going to Ken's house." Then finally realizing how stupid I sounded, I stopped singing.

Ken hung up the phone and sigh. Well got allot to do here but I guess the first thing to do it getting dressed. Good heavens I took a shower this morning. He walked back to his bedroom and took his uniform out of the closet. Immediately he started to doubt it was suited fore a party. Well What else Should I wear? he thought by himself. He shrugged and got dressed as fast as he could.

As he finished he got to the kitchen and pulled out some goodies out of the refrigerator. "these are yummie, and I know Daisuke loves them. Ken grinned. The redhead loved almost everything. Ken looked at the clock that was standing on the table next to him. Damn it's almost five, time flies the say but this is ridiculous.

He quickly got to work.

Ken sigh. Finally done. He was satisfied with the outcome. Buthe didn't had much time to think about it as he heard the bell

He walked to the front door and swings it open. "hey Dai, glad you'd could come early.

"Yeah, i thought you might like some help."

Well I am almost done, and since your the guest your not allowed to do anything

ken guided Dai to the livingroom. Well would you like something to eat our drink our maybe even both?

"nah, that's okay ken, where should i put your present?"

Ken grinned. On the table would be fine.

Daisuke went to put his present on the designated spot and quickly returned back to Ken. "Hey, ken, i've been meaning to ask you something."

You do? what is it Daisuke?

"Well, um... we can tell each other anything, right? i mean, like secrets and stuff right?" Daisuke asked nervously.

Of course we you can Daisuke, you know that.

"Well.... i-kinda-like-you-as-more-then-a-friend-kinda-way." He bluted out.

Ken took a step back "more?"

"what do you mean by that?

Daisuke started to glance around nervously. "I mean i like you.....like my parents like each other."

Ken's eyes widens. " you mean your in love with me?"

"Well, yeah..." Daisuke started to feel like something bad was gonna happen.

Ken swallowed. " you can't be serious Daisuke "

"Wh-what do you mean?"

" well how could you be in love with me, were best friends, best friends don't fall in love you know

Daisuke felt a little angry. "Why not? My parents were best friends. They trust each other then and they do now. That's what being friends is about. Being able to be honest with each other."

Ken was speechless. He took a deep breath before beginning to speek again. " but Daisuke I...I..How could you fall in love with ME?

I mean dont you like Kari our something

Daisuke was surprised with the mention of Hikari. "Kari? Not really... i learned that she just wasn't for me. She pretty, but i knew that we weren't meant for each other. I guess i was using her for a cover so i wouldn't have to tell you."

"Daisuke I don't know about this" He said while taking small steps back

"I just want to know what you think and if you liked me too."

I.........Don't like you like that

Now Daisuke was really confused. He was sure Ken would like him, too. Or at least be a little nicer letting him down. "Ken..."

What?

"Nevermind...i think i need to go.. or something... i'll see you later." Daisuke ran out of Ken's apartment.

"Daisuke wait come back!!! Ken shouted

Daisuke heard the plea, but refused to turn back.

Ken stood there in total shock. " why was Daisuke so upset, it wasn't like now he didn't wanted Dai to be his friend anymore.

Ken was unsure what to do now, go after him our just to let him be by himself for a while

"ow Daisuke why do you always have to be so stubborn, you always did something that the most disaprove"

" but I need to talk to you, I just need to" He quickly took his coat and ran after Daisuke"

Daisuke POV:

Daisuke was almost home. His emotions had been in a mess. 'Why'd i'd have to be stupid and tell him that? Now he'll never be my friend...'

He heard footsteps behind him. Knowing who it was, he didn't even bother to turn. "Why did you follow me?"

" Daisuke we need to have a serious talk together"

"Why? I think you've said enough." Daisuke answered bitterly.

" Dai" Ken said while grabbing his friends Hand

"What? I already know! You don't want to be my friend! You're disgusted with me! So just leave me alone!" He ripped his hands from Ken's.

"Daisuke that's not fair! I am your friend!"

"How could you be? You're perfect, Ken! You don't need me, you know it!"

"yes I do need you Daisuke!" Ken shouted

"and no I am not perfect!"

Daisuke shook his head. "You have everything, Ken. You don't need someone like me. I'll just be in your way."

" how could I ever be perfect without you!" Ken blurted out

Daisuke looked at Ken. A spark of hope flickered in him. "What do you mean, Ken? Answer me honestly. You do love me too?"

Ken swallowed. " I.........I.....am not sure what I feel for you Daisuke"

Daisuke sighed. "Tell me when you find out." He started to walk away.

Ken looked down, not knowing what to do next. maybe start to cry would be a good thing, and he didn't even thought about it as tears start to well up in the corner of his eyes

Daisuke paused in mid-step as he heard a sound coming from Ken. He turned around to see Ken with tears in his eyes. He walked back to his friend. "Oh, Ken... I'm sorry... i didn't mean to make you cry." He hugged his friend.

"I don't know what to do" Ken sobbed

Daisuke wiped tears off Ken's cheeks. "Just tell me the truth, Ken... do you love me?" He held Ken's head in his hands. "The truth, Ken."

I love you Daisuke, I always have. But I always thought that you liked Hikari instead of me and When you told me you loved me I thought It was just a joke.

Daisuke smiled. "I've always told you the truth, Ken. I don't think i could joke about something like that with you."

Ken looked uncertain. " So it isn't a joke?"

Daisuke leaned down and kissed Ken. "Would i do that if it was a joke?" he asked with a smile.

Ken smiled shyly. " Guess not "

Daisuke laughed. "So, let's get back to that party of yours. Everyone else will wonder where we are."

Ken smiled and nodded. Eyes begging for just one more kiss

Daisuke laughed as he kissed Ken once more. This time he lingered for a little longer.

Ken threw his arms around Daisuke's neck to deepen the kiss.

As they parted the only thing Ken could do was smile at his lover.

The redhead smiled back. "Okay, now we really gotta get going."

Ken nodded slightly,grabbing Dai's hand tight and lay his head on Daisuke's shoulder knowing he was going to enjoy every minute of this.

It had been like two hours ago since he and Daisuke came home. The first thing they did was kissing and then uhm Kissing and then.......

Ken shook his head at the memory

He chuckled softly and concentrated to the cake that he and Daisuke made after they had stopped kissing

" so what do you think, Love" Ken asked as he showed Daisuke the outcome

Daisuke looked at their handy work. "Good! I think i'll have this little piece..." he started to try to cut a piece of the cake.

Ken smiled. he knew how muck Daisuke loved Cake. Just then he head the doorbell. " I'll go" Ken said as he made his way to the front door to see who it was

" Hey Taichi, Yamato

Yamato smiled at him " hey "

" thanks for inviting us"

"Yeah, thanks, man... Hikari's been driving me nuts all day!"

Uhm Tachi, I think Hikari will be here soon to.

"Nooooo!! You invited her?" Taichi asked.

Uh sorry, she is a digidestined to

Taichi groaned. "Yeah, yeah... so has anyone else showed or are we the first?"

"Daisuke is here already" Ken said with a grin.

As if one cue, Daisuke walked into the room with frosting smeared on his face.

Ken chuckled at the sight

"Hey, guys!"

Ken walked to his boyfriend and polished his thumbs accros Dai's cheeks

"you really like cake, don't ya?" Ken giggled

Daisuke smiled and nodded. "Yep! Especially Ken-flavored." He licked the flosting off of Ken's thumbs. He looked at the two visitors. "Can't let it go to waste, right?"

'Eh yeah right" Yamato stammered

Taichi grinned and nodded. Obviously Taichi and Daisuke think a like.

Ken only stood there as Daisuke licked his thumbs. Finally he giggled and pulled back. " that's enough for today"

Again the doorbell ringed. " Daisuke would you be so kind to open the door"

he said while grabbing to a towel to clean his hands

"Sure!" Daisuke opened the door. 'Oh, great, Daisuke thought to himself.' "Hi, Hikari."

"Hi daisuke"

"How are you doing?"

"I'm fine...and you?"

"Couldn't be better" She answered

"Um...yeah...Ken! Hikari's here!" he called to is love.

"Hey Hikari, Ken said as he came back from the kitchen

"Ow Hi Ken" Hikari said a little disturbed

"come in" Ken said polite

"eh yeah thanks"

Daisuke shut the door behind her. Finally, all the digidestined arrived. "Um, everyone? Me and Ken have an annoucement."

Yamato looked up and smiled

" you do? "

Taichi knew what was coming. Daisuke had confided in him about his feelings for Ken some time ago.

Well Don't let us wait, tell us" Yamato says, very surious what Daisuke was about to say

Daisuke smiled. "We're going out." ^__________^

Yamato started to smile. " you do, That's great"

" going out" Hikari whispered. "how could he do that, he's mine" " ow but don't worry Daisuke, you'll be mine soon enough"

"That's really great" Yamato almost shouted. You two make a very cute couple

" But not for long" Hikari growled

"Thanks, Yamato!" Daisuke said. He was happy everyone seemed to be taking it so well.

"Well I guess it's party time guys" Ken said happily, also very relieved everyone was enthousiastic about it

Daisuke put on a christmas CD and dragged Ken to dance with him.

"Daisuke, what the hell?" Ken laughed.

Daisuke laughed too. "C'mon, Ken!" The stereo started playing "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree." They started dancing to the upbeat melody.

Ken couldn't think of a time he was this happy

Hikari was standing in the corner of the room thinking of a way to seperate Daisuke from Ken so she could talk to him and tell him Ken wasn't the right guy for him

"Daisuke I need to pull out the other cake out of the over before it burns and you don't want that do ya?"

Daisuke look horrified at the thought of losing cake. "Go take it out!"

ken chuckled and hurried to the kitchen

Hikari now saw her chance and grabbed Daisuke's hand. " Daisuke can I talk to you.....alone"

"Huh? Uh, sure..." Daisuke said. 'Why would she want to talk with me?'

Hikari brouhgt Daisuke to Ken's bedroom and closed the door behind her.

"Daisuke I Need to talk to you about Ken" She started

"What about him?"

"Well I don't know about you, But I don't think he is the right guy for you"

Daisuke laughed bitterly. "And since when did you know what's right for me and what's not?"

"Well why do you think you like KEn. You never paid any interest in him before and now suddenly Love him? DOn't make me laugh Daisuke. You only use Ken to get me"

"What?! If i used anyone, it'd be YOU to get to Ken."

hikari swallowed. "liar"

Daisuke sighed, knowing there was no use. "What do you want, Hikari?

both you and I know you don't want Ken. I want you to break with him. You aren't even gay aren't you?!"

Daisuke got the sudden urge to hit her, but with his upbringings he refrained from it. "Hikari, i don't care what you think you know, but i love Ken. I'm not going to break up with him. Yes, i'm gay and if you have a problem with that then go crawl in the hole you came out of."

"Ken won't make you happy"

"Oh, and you will?" he asked sarcastically.

"Of course I will"

"Better than he possibly can"

Letting go of his restraints, Daisuke slapped Hikari. "You could never make me happy. You are a selfish spoiled brat and now i see why Taichi can't put up with you."

Hikari urged her hand to the spot Daisuke hit her. " You bastard "

"Look who's talking! Why do you feel you have the right to dictate my life? I'm not yours nor was i ever! Get over yourself, Hikari." Daisuke turned to leave. "And as far as i'm concerned you earned more then just that slap."

If you don't break with Ken, "i'll make sure ken breaks up with you"

Daisuke turned back to her. "Ken would never break up with me."

Why shouldn't he. I'm sure he'll do when I tell him the truth

"What 'truth?'

"That you still want me"

He would never believe you over me. We're best friends. To put it in simpliar terms: trusts me more than he trust you."

"alright we'll see"

She passes Daisuke and walks to the living room

Looking around she spots ken who was talking to Tachi

"Ken come with me" she yells as he grabs Ken's hand tightly and pulls him with her

"Hey where are you bringen me"

"you'll see"

The two walk back to the bedroom.

Hikari quickly closes the door behind her. " So ken how much do you really trust Daisuke?"

'fully" Ken answers

"But what's going on here? Dai?"

Daisuke rolled his eyes. "Hikari's trying to break us up."

"She what?!" Ken's eyes widens

"Daisuke still likes me Ken. And it would we unfair to you to keep up your realation with him

"That's not true, Ken! I've already told you that i used Hikari as a cover! You have to believe me!"

Silence filled the room. " I............Why does Hikari do this Daisuke?"

"She's jealous. She used to get all my attention and now she doesn't."

Ken looks at the ground, eyes closed. Suddenly his shakes his head. " I need fresh air" He suddenly says as he leaves the room

Ken opened the frontdoor and left

closing the door hard behind him

"Said so" Hikari laughs

Daisuke looked at Hikari venomously. "I will get you back for this Hikari.." Then he left to follow Ken.

" Hey Daisuke, Why did Ken left?" Yamato asks

"Go ask Taichi's sister!" He yelled, hot on Ken's trail.

"Hikari? What did she do?" Taichi asked.

"She's trying to get me and Ken to break up, that's what! No, if you don't mind, i need to go find Ken now."

Ken runs down the stairs as fast as he possibly could, crying

He hears footsteps coming closer and closer

"Dammit, Ken, wait for me!" Daisuke called.

Ken leans against the wall underneath the stairs as he lets himself slide to the ground and starts to cry even harder than before.

Daisuke finally caught up with Ken. He sat next to Ken and took him inhis arms. "Ken, don't believe her. What i said was the truth. I love YOU, not her."

Ken's lips moved, but nothing came out

"Please tell me you belive me," Daisuke begged.

"I.......... want to......... believe you ..........Daisuke" Ken sobbed

"But what? You believe her? You know what a liar she is. Even her own brother can't stand her."

" Why........does......she want to..............ruin..........our relationship

Daisuke sighed. "She's jealous and wants to cause trouble."

"But…...why us?"

"Because no one else ever took an interest in her except me and Takeru. And since Takeru has seen the real Hikari, she doesn't want anyone to be happy."

Ken lay his head on Daisuke's shoulder. " I love you Daisuke"

"I love you too, Ken. No one will change that. Ever."

Ken smiled. ' never?"

"Never."

"Daisuke please Kiss me?"

Daisuke please Kiss me and tell me you'll never leave me?"

"I'll never leave you." He bent down a softly kissed Ken.

Ken smiles. He then notices how cold it actually was. " Daisuke..uhm........I'm really starting to freeze here"

"Let's get back inside. We can have a public hanging of Hikari for the main event." Daisuke teased.

Ken laughed as he washed his tears away with his sleeve

He pulls himself up from the ground and grabs Dai's hand

"Now, let's go see what we can do to Hikari for doing all this."

Ken nodded

"I want revenge "

Ken hides himself behind Daisuke as he enters his aparment still holding his lovers hand tight.

"Public humiliation always works for me." Daisuke spied Hikari sitting next to Taichi.

" And now? " ken asks nervously

"Just follow my lead." Dai winked.

"Hikari?"

Hikari looks up at Daisuke. ' What? " she snaps

Daisuke smiles cheerfully then lets out his bombshell. "Isn't it true that every friday night you smoke with your friends?"

Hikari faces turns red

"Didn't think that i would know, huh, Hikari?"

Hikari was speechless

"It's a lie" She stammered

"I was wondering where you were going," Taichi said thoughtfully.

Hikari looked surprised " You don't believe him, do you Tachi?"

"Of course i do. He doesn't have a record for lying like you do. And it explains why you're always gone on friday night."

Ken squeezed Daisuke's hand in excitement

Daisuke stared at Hikari, daring her to say something.

"I hate you Daisuke" Hikari screams as she leaves the apartment as fast as she could.

Ken smiles and his hands sneeked around Daisuke's waist

Daisuke grinned. "Well, what's everyone sitting around for? Let's party!"

Yamato smiled at Tachi

You bed we will.

Takaru laughs. " she deserved it big time"

Iori nods in approval

Sora and Mimi said in unison "What goes around comes around."

Ken sigh in relieve. " glad that's over with"

"Me, too." Daisuke pulled Ken closer to him and started to dance to the christmas music.

Ken smiles shyly and brought his face closer to Dai's. And a moment later the two lovers kissed. " Your my soulmate" Ken whispers happily as they parted

"And you're mine." he whispered as he pulled Ken back for a kiss of eternal love
