Ep. 5: The Ultimate Team

Jun (Voice Over): so after discovering I was digidestined, I took my first trip to the digiworld. We ran into TK, who I found out had become a total jerk. He unleashed Myotismon, who's apparently the archenemy of all digidestined. TK's crest floated away from him and right to my brother Davis! Patamon then digivolved to Angemon and hit Myotismon with a "Hand of Fate" attack. It didn't seem to damage him too much, but TK called a retreat. And Izzy explained everything that had happened recently. I think I understood about half of it.

(Theme)

(In the park the digidestined are discussing how to deal with TK)

Jun: I know that I'm the new girl and don't know much about the situation, but I'm sure that there has to be some good still in TK.
Matt: I agree with Jun
(Jun starts looking really happy)
Tai: of course you do. TK is your little brother. Of course you wouldn't believe that your own brother is completely evil!
Matt: are you saying that I'm willing to compromise the digidestined just to save my brother's reputation?
Tai: either that or you're agreeing with Jun because you lo...
Matt: Or I really believe that no one can be completely evil. Did that ever occur to you, Tai? Or has that hair leaked into your brain?
Sora: not again! (to Jun) they always used to fight like this when we first became digidestined. Tai had appointed himself the leader, and Matt didn't like that, so they fought a lot.
(the digivices start beeping)
Izzy: we'll have to finish this some other time. Right now it's time to stop TK's latest onslaught. We can try to open a portal from my laptop, but it might be unstable.
Tai: that's a risk I'm willing to take!
Izzy: okay then. Who wants to do the honors?
Jun: how about me?
Davis: sure, why not? You are the new girl, and it doesn't matter that much if you get caught in an unstable portal...
Kari: Davis!
Davis: sorry. But anyways, go ahead, Jun.
(Izzy sets up his laptop)
Jun: here goes... Digiport Open!
(Transportation sequence)
(The digidestined all land in a field, except...)
Tai: hey, where's Matt?
Davis: and where's Jun?
Agumon: Gabumon and Etemon aren't here either!
(cut to another part of the digiworld)
Matt: where am I?
Jun: You're with me.
(Matt instantly starts thinking of unique methods of suicide)
Jun: I've checked around, we seem to be on an island
Matt: (thinking) why does this place seem so familiar?
(sees infinity mountain ahead)
Matt: SHIT!
Jun: what's wrong?
Matt: we're on File Island!
Jun: we're where?
Matt: an island somewhere in the digital ocean. It was the area we landed in when we first came to the digiworld. Most of the digimon around here are normally gentle, but if this is the area we were supposed to go to then there may be trouble.
Jun: (becoming worried) where are the others?
Matt: most likely somewhere on the continent of Server
(Jun's confused)
Matt: the main area of the digiworld
Jun: well, there doesn't seem to be anyone he...
Voice: River of Power!
Matt: Jun, move!
(Jun moves just in time to avoid Metalseadramon's attack)
Matt: That's the trouble I was talking about. That's Metalseadramon. He's a Mega-level digimon. We're pretty much screwed without the others.
Voice 2: Puppet Pummel!
Matt: Let's go!
Jun: another one?
Matt: of the worst kind. That's Puppetmon. If two more show up then...
Voice 3: Giga Canon!
Voice 4: Trump Sword!
(Matt and Jun barely dodge the attacks)
Matt: TK's gone way beyond any level of sanity! He's revived the Dark Masters!
Jun: who?
Matt: a group of four powerful Mega-level digimon. The two new ones are Machinedramon and Piedmon. We're in big trouble!
Gabumon: I'll hold them off as long as I can!
(A beam of light shoots out of Matt's digivice at Gabumon)
Gabumon: Gabumon, Warp digivolve to...
(The beam passes through images of Garurumon and Weregarurumon before settling on...)
Metalgarurumon: Metalgarurumon!
Etemon: hey, toothpick, remember me?
Puppetmon: yeah, I remember you. You're the pathetic monkey who caused me so much trouble! Only without your "invincible" Chrome digizoid armour!
Jun: Etemon, that's the spirit, keep it up!
(Etemon dodges several blasts from Puppetmon)
Jun: Never give up!
(a crest appears on Jun's chest)
Matt: is that...
Metalgarurumon: that's the crest of Persistance.
Matt: it sure suits her
(Digivolving sequence)
Etemon: Etemon, digivolve to...
(grows and gains Chrome Digizoid armour)
Metaletemon: Metaletemon!
Metaletemon: now, where were we, Pinochio? Metal Pow!
(hits Puppetmon)
Matt: we should get going.
Jun: how: I don't see any boats or...
(Matt sees something in the distance)
Matt: It's Whamon! Let's go, he's our ticket off this island!
(Matt and Jun run towards Whamon)
Whamon: hey, Matt. Nice to see you again. And who's your friend?
Jun: I'm Jun Motomiya.
Whamon: Any relation to Da...
Jun: I'm his sister.
Whamon: okay you two, we'd better get going! And for the digimon, I can only carry Rookies
(Metalgarurumon and Metaletemon revert to their Rookie stages, Metaletemon's looks like a purple monkey with a microphone for a tail))
Matt: Gabumon, hurry up!
Jun: Who are you?
???: (on analyzer) I'm Elvismon, the rookie form of Etemon. My Flat Note attack isn't music to anyone's ears!
Jun: well, hurry up!
(they get into Whamon and leave the shore...)
Puppetmon: you let them get away!
Machinedramon: Me? Who was too busy fighting Etemon to concentrate on the digidestined?
(we leave the argument and go back to Whamon)
Jun: I've never liked dark spaces much.
Matt: just try not to think about it and think about people you love.
Jun: I don't have to think too much...
Matt: persistence really suits you!
Jun: (hits Matt) I don't have that much of a one track mind! I meant it's easy for me to know who my friends are. First there's you, then my brother, then Daisy, she's a true friend...
Matt: a true friend is important to have. I should know, with the crest of Friendship. Who's Daisy anyways?
Jun: a friend I made in high school. She's always been there to help me when something was wrong.
Matt: then she's really a true friend.
(we cut to the other digidestined)
Izzy: I've picked up their signals. They just left File Island a little while ago, and they're traveling across the Digital Ocean towards our location.
Davis: I sure hope so.
Izzy: that's not all! They're being followed by four digimon!
Tai: four? Do you think...
Izzy: We can't rule anything out. We'd better prepare for the worst case scenario
Tai: you know what that means Agumon.
Agumon: yeah!
(A beam of light shoots out of Tai's digivice at Agumon)
Agumon: Agumon, warp digivolve to...
(the light passes through images of Greymon and Metalgreymon before settling on...)
Wargreymon: Wargreymon!
(back inside Whamon)
Jun: ...so we opened the door and Davis was just shoving a bunch of pictures of Kari and a cloth under his mattress
Matt: that's nothing, one time TK went to take a shower, but he forgot to lock the door and I accidentally...
(Whamon starts rocking)
Matt: what's going on?
Whamon: we're under attack!
(Outside Puppetmon, Machinedramon, and Piedmon are riding Seadramon in pursuit of Whamon)
Puppetmon: can't you aim? Hit the whale, not the ocean!
Metalseadramon: Well it's hard to aim when you have the Three Digistooges using you as a boat!
(Back inside Whamon)
Matt: Gabumon, I think you'd better try to deal with this
Gabumon: right.
(A beam of light shoots out of Matt's digivice at Gabumon)
Gabumon: Gabumon, Warp digivolve to...
(The beam passes through images of Garurumon and Weregarurumon before settling on...)
Metalgarurumon: Metalgarurumon!
Metalgarurumon: Ice Wolf Claw!
(Metalseadramon freezes)
(Metalgarurumon reverts to Gabumon)
Gabumon: that ought to take care of them for a while.
Jun: Matt, you were saying.
Matt: right. Anyways I saw him in the shower, saying "Take it, Mimi, you valley whore", with an empty shampoo bottle on his...
Jun: that's all the information I need.
Matt: except it wasn't empty anymore!
Whamon: land ho!
Gabumon: perfect. If I hear another masturbatory embarrassment story I'll throw up!
Elvismon: I know what you mean. It's bad enough knowing that Jun has a vibrator named "The Ishida Torpedo"...
Gabumon: don't need, or want, to hear.
Matt: (Strained) Too... Much... Information!
Jun: I told you, I HAD one. It burned down with the house.
Matt: good riddance!
(Jun looks hurt by this comment)
Matt: no, it's nothing against you. It's just freaky having a "toy" named after you!
Matt: (thinking) it's also weird to know how badly you've misjudged someone. This trip taught me that Jun is smart, funny, and sensitive, not the deranged stalker I took her for before. I think she could be a good friend if not... no, I didn't just think that, did I?
(Whamon docks)
Whamon: Upon departure please go to your left where the other digidestined are waiting for you.
Davis: So, Matt, you survived the trip? Didn't have Jun try to get your pants off too many times?
Matt: sure looks like it, DaiSUCKe! I never imagined you were that flexible...
Davis: Jun! You swore you would never tell anyone else that story!
Jun: It was that or let my claustrophobia kick in.
Davis: did you at least hear any good stories about TP?
Gabumon:(looking sick) Depends on your definition of good.
Elvismon: If you mean disgusting and embarrassing, then yes.
Gabumon: I'll never look at shampoo the same way.
Elvismon: or cream filled donuts.
Gabumon: or...
Tai: (Wisely changing the subject) Who was that following you during the ride? Was it...
Matt: yes, it was.
Tai: in that case, we'd better prepare.
Gabumon: I'll get right on it!
(A beam of light shoots out of Matt's digivice at Gabumon)
Gabumon: Gabumon, Warp digivolve to...
(The beam passes through images of Garurumon and Weregarurumon before settling on...)
Metalgarurumon: Metalgarurumon!
(all remaining digimon except Hawkmon digivolve to their Ultimate forms)
Aquilamon: How long until I finally digivolve?
Yolei: it can't be long now.
(The Dark Masters finally arrive)
Puppetmon: Sorry we kept you waiting, but SOMEONE forgot that he could breathe fire!
Metalseadramon: Well I was more helpful than you! All you were doing was trying to break the ice with an attack which you should have figured out wasn't working after the first try!
Izzy: we're in trouble! We were able to defeat them before because we only needed to fight them one at a time. But they're all here now and we have to fight them all!
Piedmon: correct. And this time that pathetic pixie isn't here to save you!
(Metalgarurumon and Wargreymon start to glow, a light covers them, and when it disappears they've combined into Omnimon)
Piedmon: so, you think that you can defeat us with one Ultra level? You've got something else coming to you!
(the Dark Masters are all engulfed in shadow, and when the shadows fade...)
Davis: hey, where'd they go?
???: Looking for someone?
(the digidestined turn and see a creature with Piedmon's body and Metalseadramon's head)
Kari: TK's outdone himself with this one!
???: (on Digimon analyzer) Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Darkmon. My Flaming Trump will top anything you try, and watch out, it burns!
Davis: shouldn't there be another one?
????: maybe you should learn to keep your mouth shut!
(a shadowy digimon appears)
???? (on digimon Analyzer) I am Doomon. A deadly combination of Puppetmon and Machinedramon. My Apocalyptic Blast will annihilate anything in its path!
Davis: Ken, we could almost help, if we could still get Imperialdramon. His fighter mode seems to be about as powerful as an Ultra level.
Ken: but we can't get Imperialdramon. That requires Paildramon, and Stingmon and Exveemon can't DNA digivolve anymore.
Davis: Just try!
(We see lights coming out of their digivices towards Mechanoexveemon and Poisonstingmon)
(DNA sequence starts up)
Mechanoexveemon: Mechanoexveemon...
Poisonstingmon: Poisonstingmon...
Both: DNA digivolve to...
Imperialdramon: Imperialdramon!
(energy flies toward Imperialdramon)
Imperialdramon: Imperialdramon, mode shift to... Fighter Mode
Imperialdramon: I'll take the weaker one. After all, powerful or not, I'm just an advanced Mega.
Omnimon: fine with me. Besides, I really want to teach Doomon a lesson.
Davis: (confused) how can you tell which one's weaker?
Both: Digimon just know things like that.
(they square off against Darkmon and Doomon)
Omnimon: I'll take the first shot. Supreme Canon!
(the blast hits Doomon dead on, but...)
Doomon: Stop, that tickles! My turn, Apocalyptic Blast!
(Omnimon gets ready to dodge the attack, but realizes it isn't aimed at him)
(at the same time)
Imperialdramon: nothing personal, I just don't like evil! Positron Laser!
(the attack hits Darkmon hard, but when the smoke clears...)
Imperialdramon: not even a scratch!
Darkmon: Now let's see how you handle this. Flaming Trump!
(He sends a giant flaming card out)
Imperialdramon: you missed by a mile!
Darkmon: oh, no I didn't...
(Omnimon and Imperialdramon turn around just in time to see the attacks hit their target, Tai!)
Kari: Tai!
Davis: no, this can't happen!
Sora: NNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!
(Sora breaks down crying)
Matt: This is too much!
Izzy: I should have known that TK would want to ge5t one of us out of the way! But why Tai?
Ken: because he represents courage. Without him, we're pretty much a bunch of chickens.
Joe: I'm studying to be a doctor, but this is way beyond my level of experience!
(Tai collapses)
Tai: (in a muted voice) no one... could... have... guessed...
(Tai dies)
Cody: that does it! This has gone too far! Everyone, focus your attacks on Darkmon!
Yolei: That includes you, Aquilamon! So what if you're just a champion? We need all the power we can get here! I have faith in you!
(A crest appears on her chest)
Yolei: this should make things a lot easier!
(Ultimate digivolving scene)
Aquilamon: Aquilamon, digivolve to...
(grows much larger and horns straignten out)
Areoaquilamon: Aeroaquilamon!
Areoaquilamon: (on analyzer screen) I am Areoaquilamon, Aquilamon's ultimate form. I defeat my enemies with my Aerial Assault.
(all digimon fire their attacks at Doomon, who can't take the power of an ultra, a powered up mega, and nine Ultimates, all filled with vengeance for the fallen Tai, and is destroyed)
Davis: Now Darkmon!
(Darkmon is defeated with similar ease)
Davis: Now TA!
Kari: I would gladly, if he was anywhere near here, but he's smart enough to not be within a thousand miles of us!
(we cut to TK gloating is his base)
TK: Step one is complete, and they have no idea that was just the first phase of my plan. If they were smart, they would just quit while they're behind! If any one of them guesses what's coming next, it'll be pure luck!
(we cut back to the digidestined)
Kari: We just defeated some tough opponents, but there's no way it's over yet. I'm willing to bet anything that TK's still planning something
(Omnimon and Imperialdramon break into their separate Rookie parts)
Agumon: what am I supposed to do? I'm a digimon without a digidestined, except I don't think anyone here possesses enough courage to take over.
Matt: I'll take care of you until we can come up with a permanent solution.
Jun: correction, WE'll take care of you. Right Matt?
Matt: right.
Davis: Jun, how did you hypnotize Matt to get him to agree with you?
Matt: what do you mean hypnotize? We're both in the same house, so we'll both take care of him.
(All of the digidestined leave after burying Tai (Humans don't turn to dust, even in the digiworld))
Narator: How could TK's future plans be any more devastating than this one? Maybe we'll find out on the next Digimon, Digital Monsters!

(Author's end note: So, the Junmato wasn't as central as you would think from the introduction, are you complaining? Also, the death of Tai, I hadn't really planned it, it just happened.
