Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Deaf & Mute ❯ The doujinshi Boys ( Chapter 7 )
Warning! Just wanted to say that all of them are the same age as the show. Also I wanted to say is that the story came when I was thinking about my friend Mari who is deaf. I'm half deaf my self since that goes with the Turner's Syndrome http://www.onr.com/ts-texas/turner.htmldisability I have.

Kouji woke to the sound of moaning and crying ... not a heart break cry ... but a cry of slight pain. He opened his eyes to see Takuya sitting shaking pressing his palm to his left ear his head slightly tilt. Once Kouji sat up all the way he noticed that tears where coming down the other boys face.
"Takuya ... what's wrong? Hang on; I'll go get Mrs. Right!"
The dark haired boy got out of bed and ran out, down the hallway and stopped then knocked. First there was not response, he knocked again.
"I'm coming. Hold on."
There was a scuffle from the other side ... finally ... the door opened to see a surprised Mrs. Right.
"Kouji? Wh.... what's wrong?"
"It's Takuya! I don't know what's wrong but he's in a lot of pain!"
"Now calm down," Mrs. Right said putting her hand on his shoulder, "go get the nurse ... and I'll go check on Takuya."
Takuya laid there his head slightly turned, Kouji holding his hand as the nurse moved the Otoscope around. Even though it hurt so much, he controlled his shaking so the nurse could see what was wrong.
"Just as I thought," she said moving the utensil out of the way, "Takuya has a bad ear infection ..."
"Do you still have those ear-drops?"
"I think so. But they might be expired ..."
The nurse fished in her bag and pulled out a box that had a bunch of writing on it. She opened the box and pulled out a bottle and started to shake it; once it was shaken well she squeezed the lid twice, she twisted the top opened and pulled the bottle up to see that there was a tub attached to the end of the lid. Mrs. Right flopped down next to Takuya as Kouji rubbed his thumb along the boy's shoulder blade.
After the drops where put in his ear, the nurse pulled out a cotton-ball rolled into a ball and gently put in Takuya's ear.
"Kouji, can you get me some water," the nurse asked kindly reaching in the bag and pulled out what looked like Aspirin pills.
Huh ... where is he going, Takuya thought as he started to panic when Kouji got up and started to walk out the room ... <Takuya>, Mrs. Right looked down at him taking his hand, <he'll be right back>, <he just went to get water for you>. The brown haired boy felt a little more pain when Kouji left the room ... he wanted the dark haired boy so bad ... sure. Having Mrs. Right there holding his hand was nice but he wanted Kouji to hold his hand more than anything.
Kouji walked in one moment later with a glass of water in his hand and handed it to the nurse then walked back and sat next to Takuya.
"I need you to drink this." The nurse said handing the class of water and two pills to Takuya.
Without hesitation, the brown haired boy swallowed them and laid back down. <Now try and get some sleep>. Mrs. Right and the nurse walked out as Kouji laid next to Takuya as he ran his fingertips through his hair. He wished there was more he could to make the pain go away ... to make it go away right then ... but he couldn't. All he could do was lay there watch Takuya in pain until the pill did it's job and that was going to take some time; without realizing what he was doing he started to whisper soothing words to Takuya.
The Burnett sniffed. The pain in his left ear has increased making him whimper every once in awhile his cheeks turning pinker. Some of the other kids where starting to get a little annoyed who trying to sleep ... finally one couldn't take it any more.
"Will someone make him shut up!"
"Leave Takuya alone, Zake! He's in a lot of pain right now and he doesn't need you to make it worse!!"
"Yea. Like the useless dumb-ass knows what's going on."
Zake laid back down pulling the covers up and closed his eyes not even realizing that Kouji got out of bed walked calmly over the blonde boy until strong hands took hold him lifted him up and slammed him to wall. Zake opened one eye and the first thing he saw was Kouji's eyes full of hate.
"If I ever hear you call Takuya that again ... I'll swear that you'll feel the same pain he's feeling right now. Do we understand each other?"
Kouji waited but Zake was so scared that he didn't answer at first ... the dark haired boy tightened his grip around the blondes neck thanking that he was being thick headed.
"Well! Do we?"
"Ya ... yea ..."
Kouji let go turned and walked back to his bed .....
The pain turned from dull to sharp and his head hurt like someone had dropped an imaginary cement block into his head. The ear-drops and the pills did help ... not by much though ... Kouji was feeling pain too ... the pain knowing that there wasn't much he could but comfort Takuya ... looking down at his painful face made Kouji feel as though he was slugged in the stomach.
"I know it hurts, Takuya," Kouji whispered running his fingers through the brunette's hair, "you'll be okay .... it will pass ..."
The truth was. It was tearing Kouji up inside seeing the one person he really cared about. Yes. He loved Takuya. Loved him with all his heart ...
Kouji finally looked at the clock ... it was 2:50AM. Takuya was finally a sleep. The dark haired boy looked down the brown haired boy ... he looked more at peace now. Did they finally take affect or was Takuya so use to the pain that he didn't feel it anymore. Kouji hoped that was not the case. He didn't want the one person be like that ... no one had to live like that.
Still looking down Takuya, Kouji gently slipped his hand under his arm feeling Takuya's side gently pulling him so that he was laying on his side … he then pulled the covers up to Takuya's shoulder as he scooted closer moving his arm further so that their bodies would touch.

Sorry that was a weird chapter ... this chapter was like the time where I woke up one morning to a nasty shock ... my right ear was really hurting me ... I mean, it was like needles moving around ... and there was time where I was a the pool and my left ear was hurting ... it turned out that my "T" tub forced it's way out of my ear-drum leaving a large hold in my ear-drum. That was along time ago though. But it wasn't the first time my "T" decided it didn't being in fucked up ears ... that's how I lost some of my hearing and having 14 ear-surgeries is other cause of my hearing loss.
