Chapter One: The Wedding

Davis Motomiya walked along the walkway his thoughts on many different things he couldn't believe how things had changed so much over the years. He was now engaged to the girl of his dreams Kari Kamiya. If someone told him that when he was younger he would not have dared to believe it but now he was happier than anyone in the world. He was getting married in a few weeks. He had asked Ken to be his best man he would have asked Veemon but it would be odd having your digimon partner as your best man or in his case best mon.

 

He remembered well the night he proposed the girl he loved more than anything. Everyone was so happy for them even T.K. T.K. was married to another Digidestined Noriko the two had fallen for one another and made quite a cute couple as well. Tai was married to Davis's older sister June it is strange how love works sometimes huh? No one would have ever imagined those two ending up together but they did. Fate basically brought them together.

 

Basically, all the Digidestined were leading happy lives now though Davis felt like a nervous wreck considering his wedding was in a week. Davis was passing by the Takaishi's house and knocked on their door, maybe he could have a chat with T.K. to help him cool down. T.K. answered the door and smiled seeing Davis.

“Hey Davis. Come on in.” T.K. said smiling leading the way in. Noriko walked inside her and Davis hugging gently, Noriko was pregnant so he had to be gentle.

 

“Davis it's good to see what would you like? Tea, coffee, some juice?” Noriko said warmly smiling at her friend and Davis shifted slightly.

 

“Uh anything is fine thanks Noriko.” Davis said and Noriko's eyes narrowed meeting with her husband he smiled at her and nodded as they had a silent conversation with the eyes after which Noriko went inside the kitchen. T.K. turned back to Davis.

 

“Okay spill. What's up? You look nervous, you sound nervous don't tell me your getting cold feet before your wedding with Kari.” T.K. said grinning at his friend causing his face to go red. Davis sighed.

 

“Of course I'm nervous! I'm getting married to the girl of my dreams, I want everything to be perfect but I'm scared something will go wrong, or something will happen on the last minute.” Davis said throwing his hands in the air causing T.K. to blink in surprise. He moved over resting a hand on Davis's shoulder causing the brunette boy to stop and look at his friend.

 

“Davis, you're the keeper of the digimentals of courage and your stronger than this I know things seem scary believe me I was scared before my wedding with Noriko and wasn't it you and Kari who helped me have the confidence that I could do it? You can do it buddy that day won't be cursed for you, it will be a blessing.” T.K. said sounding like his usual self so optimistic always looking at things in a positive light. The sincerity in T.K.'s eyes and the hope always reassured him not only him but everyone else too.

 

“Thanks T.K. that means a lot it really does.” Davis said then muttered “How do you always know what to say?” and T.K. laughed heartily and nudged his friend.

 

“Natural talents now come have lunch with us or Nori chan will have my head.” T.K. said smiling as they both laughed going to join Noriko in the kitchen.

 

*ONE WEEK LATER*

 

Today was the wedding day he could not believe it but it was true. Davis and Ken were both in the dressing room; Ken was helping his best friend with the suit or more like doing the tie for him.

 

“It's nearly time Ken we have to hurry!” Davis cried causing his best friend to smile and roll his eyes and finish up the tie.

 

“Davis, listen to me you need to relax remember this is what you always have wanted isn't it? Remain calm you won't make a fool of yourself remember I'm nervous too my wedding with Yolei is soon and everyone's passed through the same thing so your not alone you'll be fine buddy. I can't believe the one who took on MaloMyotismon without fear is nervous of getting married.” Ken said the last part more to tease his friend slightly and Davis smiled punching his friend's shoulder playfully.

 

“Ha ha very funny Ichijouji.” Davis said as T.K. popped his head in the room.

 

“Davis, it's time for the groom and his best man to come out.” T.K. said and Davis bit his lower lip but nodded.

 

“Okay give us a minute please T.K.” Davis said and the blonde boy nodded a small smile lighting his face as he went back out. Davis turned to Ken.

 

“It will be okay…right?” Davis asked for about the twentieth time that day.

 

“Of course Davis it will be perfect.” Ken said sounding confident as they headed out. Davis stood at the altar and saw Kari being walked down the aisle.

 

She looks so beautiful Davis thought to himself as he watched his future bride to be.

 

He looks perfect, just the way I imagined him to be Kari thought smiling feeling butterflies in her stomach as she reached him. The two lovers could only look into the other's eyes as the priest read his stuff.

 

“You may now kiss the bride…” The priest said. Davis leaned forward kissing her softly on the lips he couldn't believe it his dream had finally come true. He was now in holy matrimony with the woman he loved. As him and Kari broke apart he saw all their friends smiling over at them.
