Confrontations

"I think it's the best way!" Sora insisted "We should take the fight to him!"

She looked hopefully round at the other Digidestined. Things had been odd for ages recently. All the boys had been extra strange. At that moment, they all seemed to be sitting about three feet apart and trying not to meet anyone's eyes.

"I think that sounds a good plan," Joe said.

"Not bad," Izzy agreed.

Everyone seemed to agree easily except Davis, Tai, Matt and TK who all seemed oddly uneasy about confronting the Digimon Emperor. They only agreed when Sora threatened to do it herself without them. For some reason this bothered them more than not going. They arranged the date of attack then separated.

Ken was sitting sprawled on his throne, eating an apple. Wormmon was watching him, rather confusedly. Ken had been in an extra good mood for a while now, something that Wormmon couldn't really understand.

Ken was happily thinking. He'd vaugely toyed with the idea of seducing the rest of Matt's band but he didn't think that it was a good idea. For one thing, they were all so experienced that it probably wouldn't work anyway! For another...well, the band were too good. It made him feel...well, intimidated.

Anyway, he was supposed to be choosing a Digidestined pet.

Speaking of them...

"Oh look," Ken said "The Digidestined are breaking in. That's unusual."

Wormmon looked at the screen.

"Aren't you angry?"

"No."

"Oh," Wormmon said.

There was a pause.

"What should we do?" Wormmon asked eventually.

"Let them in. Make it reasonably easy. I'll meet them there."

He pointed at the room. Wormmon nodded and scurried off. Ken smiled.

This could be the answer to his problems.

He walked gracefully down through his base. He waited until he could hear the Digidestined's voices, then stepped out.

"Hello."

They all jumped.

"You!" Sora yelled. Obviously she'd taken over as leader while Tai tried to look innocent.

"Well it is my base. Who were you expecting?" Ken pointed out reasonably.

Sora scowled darkly and clenched her fists. The others were all looking threatening too. Ken smirked.

"So why are you here?" he asked "Tea? A friendly chat? Or to surrender?"

"As if!" Tai yelled "We'd never surrender!"

"Then why are you here?"

"We're here to defeat you!" Iori shouted.

"Really little boy?" Ken said mockingly "You lot?"

"As long as we stand together, we'll kick your ass!" Yolei shouted.

Ken cracked up. He couldn't help it. The idea sent him into hysterics. He held onto the wall, sobbing with laughter.

"Stop it!" Sora shouted "Stop laughing!"

"I'm sorry!" Ken snorted "It's just.....you lot! Stick together!"

"How dare you!" Kari shrieked.

Ken wiped his eyes and looked at them.

"Stick together," he repeated, shaking his head.

"Why are you saying that?" Sora demanded hotly.

Ken sighed and shook his head.

"You lot are just....not stuck," he said coolly.

He pointed at Davis.

"You Davis. Instead of waiting for the rest of your friends to help you, you run off to fight me all by yourself when I E-mail you."

He smirked.

"Not that much fighting was done..."

Davis was blushing and not looking at anyone. The others were all looking confused.

"Oh, didn't you tell your friends?" Ken said mockingly "Didn't you tell them what we did?"

Davis's face was now the colour of a lobster. He was shivering.

"Davis, what the hell is he on about?" Yolei asked.

"We....I......I....."

Ken snickered.

"We had sex," he said helpfully "Not all that long ago. You had a lot of fun didn't you Davis?"

Davis gave a tiny whimper. All of the others were gaping at him. Some of them were beginning to look really annoyed.

"But you know, you need to stop snoring," Ken said "I don't think it's normal to snore so loudly. And as for the amount of lust you show once someone's turned you on....well, not that I'm complaining...."

It ought to have been impossible for Davis to turn any redder but Davis managed it. His fists were clenched and he was shaking.

"Don't worry Davis," Ken said carelessly "You aren't the only person who helps unstick your group."

He turned his eyes to Tai.

"You Tai. Instead of sticking with the others, you wander off, make it very easy to capture you. And then giving in so easily..."

"Giving in?" Sora repeated.

"But honestly Tai!" Ken continued, ignoring Sora completely "Not wanting anal sex? Come on, you're a TRIPOD! People as big as you HAVE to like anal!"

"You and Tai....?"

"Oh we didn't have sex," Ken said, mock-sadly "We just groped and kissed. It's so unfair!"

"YOU HAD SEX WITH TAI?" Davis shrieked.

"There was no penetration," Ken said coolly "But yes I suppose so."

Davis turned and gave Tai a murderous stare. Tai gulped.

"I....er....I....well...."

He appeared to be trying to sink through the floor and was shifting from foot to foot.

"Then of course, there's Matt," Ken continued tauntingly "Dear Matt. Instead of sticking together with the rest of them, you just brought your brother to collect plants. I mean, honestly! Plants! This is a world under domination and you're picking flowers! And then getting completely distracted and forgetting all about your brother..."

Matt didn't blush. He scowled instead.

"You.....and MATT!" Iori spluttered.

Ken nodded, his lip twitching.

"I was impressed actually," he said "Very little wrong with you. And amazingly impressive techniques. But the fact that you are a sexually depraved rebellious psycho causes a few problems really."

Matt looked rather flattered which hadn't been quite what Ken had intended. Shrugging, he turned to Izzy.

"And you Izzy...."

"ME!" Izzy yelped "I've never had sex with you! I wouldn't touch you!"

Ken removed his glasses.

"Really Izzy?"

"Ken Ichijouji?!" Yolei yelped.

Ken smiled at her and bowed very sarcastically.

"Congratulations sweetheart," he said "That's who I am."

He turned and looked at Izzy.

"Now Izzy," he said "Never slept with me?"

Izzy gulped, his face sickly white.

"Seriously stupid," Ken told him mockingly "Going over to someone's house when you only just met them? And having sex with someone that you've only known for a little while! Really, I thought you were supposed to be intelligent!"

Izzy honestly looked like he was going to faint. Ken knew the real reason why he was so scared. He smirked at Izzy maliciously.

"And spilling all your secrets without knowing any of mine? Very careless. For all you knew, I might decide to tell anyone about....."

"Don't!" Izzy yelped.

Ken giggled. It was hysterical to see him look so scared.

"Don't what? Tell all your friends that you're head-over-heels in love with Tai?"

Izzy made a strange noise and stared at the floor. Feeling that he'd milked everything he could out of Izzy, Ken turned to Joe.

"And you Joe! I'm ashamed of you! You're supposed to be the oldest here and you get drunk and fall for that 'I've been with you all night' thing? Honestly, what kind of example is THAT?"

Joe was gulping and trying to look like he wasn't really there.

"I mean really," Ken said "How pathetic. But you do give terrific blow jobs!"

Joe gave a tiny squeak and turned purple. Ken smirked lightly and then looked at Iori.

"And YOU Iori," he said "I mean honestly! I don't look THAT much like Joe!"

"WHAT?" Iori screamed.

Joe woke up from his 'I'm not here' mood and gaped at Iori and Ken in shock.

"I NEVER thought you'd fall for that," Ken said "It's just pathetic really."

Iori was beginning to swallow. He looked mixed between killing Ken and starting to cry.

"You had sex with Ken thinking he was me!" Joe yelped.

"I.....I....."

"Really dumb," Ken said coolly.

Then he turned to TK. TK's face was stiff and impassive.

"And you."

He shrugged.

"Words fail TK. Exactly how stupid ARE you? Falling for that SHIT? Every chichéd bad guy ever has used that stuff! It's pathetic! You're supposed to be a good guy and here you are, falling for garbage like that!"

TK gulped and hung his head, his shoulders trembling. There was an utter silence.

"You're all pathetic," Ken said icily "You boys. All getting seduced by one person."

"Why?" Davis choked.

"I wanted to test you all," Ken said "I wanted to choose a pet. Problem was, my scoring system turned out to not be nearly as fair as I thought. Turns out it's been pretty difficult actually. And rather annoyingly, Toshiki beat the lot of you."

He scowled.

"He's not even a Digidestined and he beat you all!"

There was a long silence. Then Matt suddenly spoke.

"Toshiki's going to be so pissed," he remarked.

"Why?" Ken asked, blinking.

"I slept with you first."

That hadn't been the reaction that Ken had been expecting. Screams, shouts, murders maybe. But a cool calm reaction like that? No.

There was a long silence where everyone tried not to meet each others eyes. Ken was trying not to break into peals of laughter again, watching the way they all stared at their feet.

It took Davis - irrepressible Davis - to break the silence.

"Right," he said "We're going to go home now. All of us. We were never here and we've all gone temporarily deaf."

"Excellent plan!" TK said instantly.

"A superb one!" Izzy agreed, looking relived.

Joe and Iori both nodded violently. Tai was looking quite pleased too.

"No way!" Matt said.

Everyone turned and gaped at him.

"I've got to gloat to Toshiki about this! I just have to!" Matt said "I was slept with Ken Ichijouji first! Come on!"

"That's your business," Davis said "Just swear him to secrecy and make sure none of us are around!"

"That's all right then," Matt said, looking quite smug.

"Right," Davis said "Bye Ken. Let's go."

Turning, the Digidestined all walked out, leaving Ken staring after then, incapacitated with hysterical laughter.
