Chapter III: Bring Down the Tyrant! Children Unite!
I led my partners quietly into the city. It was about three miles across altogether, but I thought if we were quiet enough, we could go unnoticed. I was very wrong. Not even ten yards into the city, an Evilmon spotted us. He went rushing off to tell his boss about us.
The four of us tried to run off into a side road, but we were stopped by another Evilmon. A few more blocked our escape. We were very trapped. The first one arrived back and told the others that they were allowed to kill the `pests'. I smiled and rubbed the back of my head, before one of them flew up to me. “Nightmare Shocker!”
The bolt struck me in the chest, and I fell over. I got out my DigiVice; I knew we needed more fire power than a bunch of baby II's. “Nightmare Shocker!”
“Demon Darts!” The attacks kept coming.
Finally, my DigiVice reacted, and my Digimon evolved. “Koromon, shinkaa! Black Agumon!”
“Pukamon, shinkaa! Yuki Agumon!”
“Tsunomon, shinkaa! Agumon!”
The three mini-Tyrannosauruses made quick work of the Evilmon and we continued on our way to the edge of the city. It escaped our knowledge, but apparently one of the Evilmon made it back to his master. We didn't find that out quite yet, though.
We moved quicker now, seeing as Dark Tyranomon may have already known we were there. I figured there was no point in giving the enemy even more time to catch us. Then I tripped on a cord that was stretched across the road. A large net ripped us off of the ground and into the sky.
Laughter came from the ground as Dark Tyranomon stepped from behind a building. “You think you could just waltz through my Domain and disrupt the peace? Fools.”
“We didn't disrupt the peace. We were just making our way to Airdramon's Domain when a bunch of bat-things attacked us on your orders!”
“SILENCE!! Fire Bla--” He was cut off in the middle of his attack by a small blast of green fire, which he took in the leg.
“Get the hell away from the Savior, dick!” It was Mark, a human friend of mine from the real world.
“Aw, if it isn't another human. And this one is the Savior, you say? Now I have even more reason to kill him.” Dark Tyranomon turned again to face us, but we were gone.
Mark's Betamon had freed us. “Over here, asshole.” And all of my Digimon attacked him at once from the front and Mark's from behind.
“Baby Flame.”
“Mystical Fire.”
“Hail Storm.”
“Black Flame.”
“Demi Dart.
“Electric Shock.”
Dark Tyranomon fell to the ground and, with another barrage from us, exploded into data. “Come on, I know how to get to Airdramon.” Mark said.
“What are you doing here?” I asked him.
“I'm here to help you. Just follow me.”
And so I gained another friend in my mission. It seemed kinda odd to me that just hours before I had been checking my email and looking forward to a date. Well, I was still looking forward to the date… But now I was playing a central figure in a war I was drafted into… Anyway, the trip to Airdramon was rather quicker than I would have guessed, with Mark as my guide. We arrived by nightfall.

Author's Notes: Another short chapter. I did warn you, though…
I try to use the Japanese names of the Digimon and their moves whenever possible. If I don't, I don't know `em.
Next Chapter - Airdramon's Request: The gifts keep on coming as the Tamers meet the first friendly Domain Lord. But he also has a task for them. Will it be too much for them to accept?
