Buildings towered over head, all made of white marble and trimmed in gold. A wondeful city this was. This was also the last stronghold of a rebellion, one that worked so hard to defend what they love, their land. A King by the name of Tai ruled this city and organized the rebel forces. He had a beautiful sister, tan skin, long brown hair that came to her shoulders, she wore a white dress that slit in the back and covered all the wall down to her feet. Her name was Kari, High Priestess of Light. She gave up life at the palace when her father died and her brother took over. It wasn't that she didn't love Tai, she hated being stuck in the palace. She worked at the Temple of Divine Light and worked along side her partner: Gatomon. The job as the High Priestess wasn't easy, she had to constantly work for the demands of the people, which got harder with everyday, since there was a war going on and all.
At this time her and Gatomon were on the way to a deserted temple on the outskirts of the city. Not many humans travel from city to city, unless accompanied by a digimon. Random attacks from enemy forces had becomce very common. Soon the two could see the old stone temple, it was small and built into the side of a hill, completely covered in vines and hidden behind some trees.
"Should we begin Gatomon?"asked Kari.
"Sure anything to keep my mind of that silly war." said Gatomon, both walked into the temple, it was rather small, only two rooms, the entrance room and the main chamber. Gatomon and Kari walked into the main chamber and began examining the walls for something, anything that would grab their interest. Kari had no luck on the side she was searching at first, that was until she came across a stone tablet that was lying on the ground. She picked it up and realized it was an ancient text and she couldn't read it.
"Gatomon...come here." said Kari. Gatomon ran over to Kari and looked over the tablet herself.
"Ancient Digimon language...I think I get what it's trying to say...War between shadow and light...war between good and evil...destruction of the Holy Temples and the fall of an ancient beast...Oh my this is a chronocle from the Great Apocolypse War..." said Gatomon reading further into it.
"I don't remember rwading anything about that in my studies." said Kari. "Mind to explain?"
"I couldn't but that scholar named Takeru could." said Gatomon, she looked up and saw the sour expression on Kari's face. "What's wrong?!"
"Takeru? Ugh....he likes me..." said Kari. "I don't feel that way towards him."
"Oh...well he's the only in our town that could tell us about the Great Apocolypse War." Gatomon looked out towards the first chamber. "Nevermind....it looks as though he's here to...HEY TAKERU!" Kari made another sour face and quickly straightened up when Takeru stepped in with his partner: Patomon.
"I said you could call me T.K." said the young scholar. "Oh excuse me...High Priestess Kari...doing some research?"
"Yes..." Kari looked him over and laughed in her head. "Umm....do you mind telling me alittle about the Great Apocolypse War? I imagine Grand Scholar Izzy told you about it." TK livened up abit.
"Sure...how to start..." TK began to tell the horrifying accounts of the Great Apocolypse War.
PAST EVENT TOLD BY TK:
An ancient evil known as the Deities of Darkness ruled half of the Digital World. The other was ruled by a fair kingdom. The Deities of Darkness was led by a entity known as the Darkness. Simply named, yet shot fear into the hearts of the bravest of men and digimon. During the early stages of this war declared by the Deities, Digimon fought only, and they were slaughtered. This is the first recorded account of a Partnership between human and digimon. Two figures: a Knight from the kingdom named Daisuke Motomiya and a digimon known as Veemon joined together to combat this force. During this stage, Daisuke won every battle, and yet he finally lost to one of the assassins of the Deities of Darkness, they were known as the Celestials. This assassins were highly trained only to take out 'partners'. Their leader was a woman named Katanna Vaughn. She was heartless in he assaults on Daisuke and for some odd reason, even though she won every battle, she never killed him. And one day all the Celestials and the assasssins vanished leaving a weakened dark force.
This begins the later part of the war. Daisuke had become known as the Dragon Knight and Veemon had digivolved to a powerful form, one not recorded in the books. They fought and defeated the hords of the Darkness and finally faced it's leaders. Defeating them one by one, and soon the final battle approached. The Darkness faced off against Daisuke and the digimon who's name had been forgotten. But either side could not win, so with the help of two allies and their partners, they sealed away the Darkness, but before it could be sealed, it also sealed away Daisuke and his digimon. For one day they would do battle again and finish were they left off.
END STORY
"So what about the Holy Temples and beast?" asked Kari.
"That would be the fall of the Temple of the North and the South, once they fell the Darkness had complete control over the forces of evil, and the beast was probably a Digimon God that tried to fight against the Darkness and fell in battle only to be absorbed by the Darkness...what a way to go." said TK.
"Thank-you." said Kari. "Gatomon I think we need to return to Eyphan and get some rest before the dinner party?"
"Sure..." Kari gathered her items and began to leave.
"Well see you soon Kari." said TK with a wink. Kari began to feel sick with him doing that, she just kept walking with Gatomon walking behind. Soon they both were gone. "She likes me."
"You think?" asked Patomon sarcastically.
"Haha." laughed TK. "Of course and tomorrow I'm gonna ask her out!" TK laughed to himself and walked out of the temple. Patomon was following close behind.

Back at Eyphan, Kari and Gatomon had just arrived and were getting ready for the dinner party. Kari dressed herself into a white gown that covered her feet. She braided her hair and put on a white gold necklace which had the crest of light on the front. Kari looked over at Gatomon and smiled.
"Well are we ready?"asked Kari.
"You look like your dressed for a wedding." commented Gatomon.
"Well you must be prepared for anything!" giggled Kari, she walked out of her room and down the hall followed by Gatomon. She could hear ball room music playing in the background and people laughing. A great party her brother was throwing again. Must be looking for that special someone. Kari thought to her self. She stopped and staightened some lose strands of hair and opened the two gold doors to the Ballroom. Inside was a wonderful sight. People dancing, some off to the side talking about random subjects, mostly about the war. Gatomon walked off and joined some other digimon friends and left Kari looking for her brother. Of course he wouldn't be hard to find, look for the only Wargreymon in the room and Tai wouldn't be far. Kari looked over the sea of people and found the towering digimon and walked over to him, he of course saw her and waved her over like a maniac. A big digimon like that, you'd expect him to be serious all the time, but he's just as childish as Tai, a warrior but a heart worth more than the world can give in gold. Kari laughed and waved back at Wargreymon and walked over closer.
"Wow Kari you look nice tonight." said Wargreymon. "Hey Tai!" Tai left a group of girls to meet with Kari.
"WOW!" yelled Tai. "I had no idea what you looked like underneath all those robes." Kari gave him a death glare.
"Whats that supposed to mean?" asked Kari. All three laughed and they went and sat down and talked over some of Kari's findings. Everything was found to be interesting. And thats all they did for the remainder of the night.

The Ballroom was beginning to slow down and clear out for the night and Tai was ready for bed.
"Well I'm off to bed." said Tai with a yawn. "You should be going to Kari."
"I guess your right." Kari looks down in her lap and sees Gatomon asleep. "Uh, don't mind if I stay here in the castle tonight?"
"Haha, of course not." laughed Tai. "Your my sister after all, and your welcome to stay as long as you need."
"Thanks alot." said Kari.
"Here let em help you with that." offered Wargreymon picking up Gatomon. Kari, Wargreymon, and Tai walked down through some corridors and found a white door.
"My old room..."said Kari observing the door, it slowly opened with a slight creek. "Just like I left it." She runs in followed by Tai and Wargreymon. Kari flops down on her bed and laughs. Wargreymon sits Gatomon down on the otherside of Kari, and before Tai and Wargreymon knew it, Kari and Gatomon were fast asleep. Tai, followed by Wargreymon, left the room and switched of the light and Tai began to close the door.
"Sleep well...little sis." Tai closed the door and looked at Wargreymon. "I'm glad shes back in the castle."
"Me too." said Wargreymon. ABout that time a soldier came running down the hall and met up with Wargreymon and Tai.
"King Tai, the scouts have spotted a regiment of Death Corpse headed for Eyphan. They are about an hour out." reported the soldier.
"Get all men ready and prepare for battle." commanded Tai. "Wargreymon...it's time we stopped that man Mykan and Xerxes." Tai walked off followed by Wargreymon and the soldier. What they didn't know was Kari and Gatomon heard the whole conversation and had gotten dressed. They looked at each other and frowned knowing that they had little time left before the arrival of Death Corpse.
^^^^^^^^^
Across the plains was an army marching towards Eyphan. Near the rear of the army was Aremikmon, on him was Xerxes and Mykan.
"Mykan soon your seven year conquest of Eyphan will be complete." said Xerxes.
"You had better be right about this Xerxes." said Mykan. "I'd hate to find another advisor so soon." Xerxes gave Mykan a scowl look and turned away from the front and looked towards the back, before him appeared a boy and a digimon. He whispered something into the boys ear and he vanished.
"What was that?" asked Mykan.
"Nothing Mykan, just your imagination before a battle running wild." said Xerxes, Mykan shrugged and looked back ahead. If the fool only knew what my true intentions were...Xerxes smiled like a devil and then quickly straightened himself up. Soon the battle would begin.

Kari and Gatomon ran down some hills and through a thicket. The un-named temple appeared and they both ran in. Kari looked around frantically for some answers on how to help her home. She knew that nothing could stop Death Corpse and her brother would die at the hands of Mykan or Xerxes. Gatomon was also searching when her ears picked up something moving outside. She left Kari and looked outside to see two armies beginning to face off.
"Kari you wont believe what is going on!" yelled Gatomon running back inside. "Your brother marched his army to face off with Death Corpse!" Kari looked at Gatomon in fear.
"Are you serious?!" asked Kari. She ran to the front of the temple and witnessed the horrific scene. Death Corpse had already beaten most of Eyphan's Army. "What are we supposed to do?!" Kari ran back into the temples second chamber and fell to her knees near the altar and began to pray. Please gods of this world hear my cry! We need a miracle! Something! Anything to save the homes of those fighting out there against this darkness! PLEASE SEND SOMEONE!!! She opened her eyes to see a bright light before her, the area behind the altar crack open and two figures emerged from the whole in the wall. When the light cleared Kari saw a warrior dressed in blue armor. He carried a sword in his right hand and in his left gauntlet looked like a digivice. Next to this warrior was a digimon, much larger that the human warrior, his skin was blue and had a a symbol on his chest, Kari couldn't make it out to well. He also had two wings coming from his back. Kari stood up and took a couple steps back.
"Who are you?" asked Kari, Gatomon approached her side. The human in the armor turned his head and looked Kari durectly in the eyes.
"I am Daisuke Motomiya, warrior." said the man in the armor. "And you have done good in awakening me from that prison, thank-you." Kari stood there dumbfounded. She had awoken the warrior from 1000 years of sleep. How? She wondered. It didn't really matter now, the only thing should could think of is, he, the warrior of legend, going to beat Death Corpse? All alone?
