Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Digimon: Tai's Christmas Miracle ❯ Digimon: Tai's Christmas Miracle (GP) ( Prologue )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Me: Here it is-my Taiora Christmas story! I don't own Digimon, nor do I own "Let's Sing, Our Merry Christmas" from Megchan's site.

Tai: That's a pretty good song.

Sora: It is, but not as good as you are, Tai. (blushes)

Tai: Thanks, Sor.

Me: Whatever. This story is dedicated to two good friends of mine: Sora-chan (you know who you are, so no need to go into detail!) and Steeldramon21. Keep up the good work, you guys! Onward to the Taiora Christmas story!

Digimon: A Taiora Christmas

Tai's Christmas Miracle

"Tell you what-I'll make some special ones for you." -Sora Takenouchi

"I'll be waiting…Thanks." -Tai Kamiya

We were always together, no matter what

It all started with believing in each other

We were able to become stronger because the Digimon were with us…

Taichi "Tai" Kamiya sighed sadly as he gazed upward at the snow on Christmas Eve alongside his Digimon partner, Agumon.

"Sora and I would look up at the snow every Christmas Eve in the park at 11:00 at night and catch snowflakes on our tongues." Tai thought bitterly to himself.

"We'd also decorate each other's houses-she'd either drag her Mom over to ours, or Kari and I would plead with our parents to take us over to Sora's for Christmas dinner, even though we knew it was tomorrow." Tai muttered out loud. Unbeknownst to him, he and Agumon were being watched by his best friend Sora Takenouchi and her partner Biyomon.

Just for today, we'll take a break from battles

Let's decorate the town on this holy night

Look-the stars are shining, let's begin

Come on, let's begin

"Are you okay, Sora?" Biyomon questioned politely.

"I think so, Biyomon. I'm confused on what I feel for Tai. It's been over three years since we defeated MaloMyotismon, and he's only talked to me in passing." Sora explained.

"You think he's angry at you because of what you did that Christmas with Matt and the cookies?"

Sora's thoughts went to that fateful day outside of Matt's concert, when she had that box of cookies and Tai had entered in on her when she'd been wondering whether to go in or not.

"I probably wouldn't have gone in at all if it weren't for him. He gave me the courage to go inside in the first place, but I gave him something, too…my heart." Sora thought to herself, smiling at the memory.

"Do you remember when Davis and the others surprised you guys by giving us to you as presents, Tai?" Agumon chirped. Tai nodded, closing his eyes and leaning his head back.

"Hmm-hmm."

Let's sing, our Merry Christmas, let's paint the light of dreams with the Digimon and everyone all together

Let's soar away, Merry Christmas, on our song

This joy will continue forever, wherever…

If one wish is granted tonight, it would be cool if Santa Claus, bringing smiles gave me a Digimon as a present

Tai held his tears in as he smiled broadly.

"I can't dwell on the past anymore. Sora's gone, probably spending time with Matt now. It's time to start a new tradition." Tai concluded while standing up.

"Are you sure about that, Tai? Things always have a way of working out, good or bad." Agumon insisted.

"Agumon, it's been three years since we defeated MaloMyotismon. I'm sure if Sora and I were meant to be, it would've happened already." Tai replied.

Tai suddenly heard his watch beeping, so he looked down and saw that it was flashing 12:00 A.M. He checked the date and noticed that it said 12 25.

"Merry Christmas, Agumon." Tai said out loud.

"Merry Christmas, Tai." Tai and Agumon turned around to see…

"Sora!" Nodding, Sora skipped down to where Tai was and hugged him tightly. Biyomon, however, flew down to where Agumon was and both prepared to go to sleep.

Reach out, our Merry Christmas; everyone hold hands

Ring the bells to be heard all over the world

Let's sing, our Merry Christmas with our strong feelings

We'll keep singing forever, wherever…

"Sora, what are you doing here? I thought you were going to be with Matt." Tai exclaimed in shock and amazement, not letting go of Sora's waist.

"We broke up a few days before Christmas break. It wasn't working out. He had his band, I had the flower shop…and other things to occupy my time." Sora explained sweetly.

"And this took you three years to figure out?" Tai joked cynically. Laughing, Sora playfully punched Tai in the shoulder.

"Stupid Tai! Seriously, it did. I also realized that I probably made a mistake by getting together with Matt. I didn't get to spend anytime with my best friend-or at least, the important times, with him." Sora admitted as she lifted up a green colored box, wrapped with a Christmas bow around it.

"What's this? A cream pie, rigged to hit me in the face?" Tai cracked.

"Just open it before I take it back home." Smirking, Tai opened it up. What he saw caused tears to suddenly roll down his face.

Sora had bought him a picture frame, complete with a picture of him, Sora and the original DigiDestined, taken only moments before Davis and his group of DigiDestined surprised them with their Digimon as Christmas presents. He and Matt had Sora sandwiched between them, but she was leaning more toward Tai at that particular time.

Tai squinted closely and remembered that he'd blushed slightly at that moment. He looked at Sora next to him and gasped, seeing a tinge of red splashed across her cheeks.

"It's not much, but I hope it can make up for not giving you your cook-" Tai leaned down and kissed Sora with pent-up passion, not letting go of her. Sora felt her knees give way, and she would've fallen, if not for Tai holding on to her waist and keeping her aloft.

"It's perfect. Merry Christmas, Sora." Tai said quietly as he broke the kiss and reveled in the fact that Sora's eyes were closed in pure pleasure, her cheeks as red as a strawberry.

Only tonight is Merry Christmas

Many lights are enfolding us, making us one with love, Merry Christmas

We'll continue to sing a never-ending song from our hearts, from our hearts…

Tai and Sora smiled brightly as they both started catching snowflakes on their tongues, just like they did when they were kids.

"This is truly a Christmas miracle. What could really be a miracle is if I hadn't forgotten Sora's Christmas present-which was a locket with our pictures of us when we were kids inside it-at home." Tai noted as Sora pulled him close for another kiss, but this one was under the mistletoe however.
