Flight of the Angelic.

Kari awoke from sleep in a cold sweat, she still didn't understand how this had happened too them. She looked at the face of her sleeping lover. `Oh, how did this come about Tk my love?' She knew how it all started, but why it had happened was still unclear.

As the angelic flew through space came upon a blockade, Kari and Tk stared at the screen. "Kari, hail them." Tk said as he walked up to the helm and shut off the engines.

"Right, hailing the lead ship of the blockade." Kari said as she type in a command. "Frequency open with the lead ship."

"Lead federation ship what is the meaning of this blockade?" Tk asked over the com frequency.

"Angelic as the commander of this fleet I am obligated to ask you to stand down and give up peacefully, will you comply?"

"What are we being charged with commander?" Kari asked over the channel.

"You are charged with the murder of Senator Michael, of Orin sector."

"What!? You've got to be kidding." Tk and Kari looked at the commander. "We haven't been near Orin sector in months." Tk said as he stepped closer to the screen.

"Senator Michael was killed in Masa sector last week, and our reports show you were there at that time. Do you deny that you were in Masa sector last week?"

"No we were there." Kari said stepping forward. "But how does that make us his killers?"

"Do you deny that you paid the Senator a visit while you were there?"

"No, we are good friends with the senator, since when does paying a friend a visit mean you killed him" Tk questioned.

"Reports show you two were the last to see the Senator alive, so even if you are not his killers, we must still bring you in for questioning. Will you come peacefully?"

"You already know the answer to that Commander Kido." Kari said calmly.

"I was afraid you would say that Kari."

"Sorry Joe, but this is how thing are, we never give up with out a fight."

"You will make your selves out-laws by doing this, if you're not guilty then just come with us, and I'm sure you will be fine." Joe said quietly.

"You know we won't do that Joe." Tk said walking to the helm.

"And you know we won't lose this fight." Kari said as she went to weapon control.

"And you two know that you will have a price no your heads after this." Joe said as he walked to his captain's chair. "You will be hunted by every bounty in this quadrant."

"So be it, we will not go with you Joe." Tk started typing. "I am sorry, but we have too many enemies in the federation Joe, we can't go with you, they would see to it that we were punished for this, even when we have done nothing."

"So then what will you do?"

"We will find the real killer, that's what." Kari said as she raised the shield grid.

`Why were we blamed for this, why is it us that now face off with friends and family alike?' Kari asked her self. She got up out of bed and walked to her dresser. After she had put he clothes on she walked out of hers and Tk's shared bed room. `Is it our fate to be outcast from our families?' She looked around the once beautiful ship that was called the Angelic. `Our families at first didn't approve of or under stand my dating Tk, it took him starting to work as part of the clan before they gave an ok, I'm still amazed that he became a bounty hunter just be able to be with me.'

"Your supposed to talk to him you know." A voice came from behind Kari.

Kari jumped as she heard the voice. "Oh, Gato it's just you." Kari said releasing a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, it's me Kari." Gato said jumping up on to the consol in front of her. "You know Tk said you could talk to him at any time, even if you have to wake him up."

"I know Gato, I know." Kari smiled and looked at the cat type being. "But Tk hasn't had a good nights sleep in a long time, almost since this all started." She then sighed.

"It will be ok Kari." Gato looked in to her eyes. "Pata and I will always stay with you guys."

"Who would have guessed when Tk and I had you and Pata made, that you would grow to be as smart and wise as you are." Kari giggled. "And become such good friends."

"Yes well, He and I made of you and Tk, you know we are part of you." Gato jumped down to the ground and walked up to Kari. "We could never part from you; it would be as if trying to leave our selves behind."

"Why is it that this has happened Gato?"

"I don't know Kari, but if I had to guess, I would say that you were set up by one of your enemies in the federation." Gato's eyes which were circles at first now became beast like in nature. "I never have trusted them."

"Well they paid well for our services, and gave us a great deal of business, you know that." Kari said picking up the cat that stood at her feet. "Where do we go fro here?"

"There is only one place to go." A voice said from behind.

"Tk! You're awake?"

"Yep, couldn't sleep with out you next to me Kari." Tk said as he stepped out of the bedroom. "We go to my family, in the republic. They're very powerful, and have yet to turn away one who is hunted by the federation."

"Tk, you never told me that your family was part of the republic." Kari said in shock. "Why did you hide that? Didn't you trust my feeling for you?"

"Of course I trust your feelings Kari. It was your family I didn't trust." Tk type in the coordinates on the computer. "This is where we need to go first. It's a repair depot in the Gemini Sector."

"The Yagami's aren't liked all that much there." Kari said looking at the star chart.

"I know if we use my name even if it is my mother's families, we should have clear enough passage." Tk grinned.

"What is your real family name?" Kari asked looking at him.

"The one that I gave your family. The other is the one that belongs to my dad's family."

"Wait you mean that your mom and dad are..." Kari left the last part hanging as she saw Tk nod.

"My mother's name is Takaishi, but my dad's is Ishida." Tk said as he turned on the engines of the ship. "I will get us in to the Depot, after that it's up to you to win them over to helping us."

"What!? Why me!?" Kari asked as she took her seat at the com station.

"They would help me if I went alone, but they don't like the fact that you and I are together." Tk shrugged. "If they are going to help us you'll have to tell them what has happened and let them know your family disowned you. Then they may help `us'" He said as he took his seat at the helm.

"Do you think we can make it through another battle in this condition?" Kari asked as she looked as Tk.

"I don't know Kari, I don't know." He said as he began to fly the Angelic on the course he had plotted.

As they approached the area marked on the star chart Tk and Kari found them selves being chased by one of the bounty hunters from the Orin Sector. "Kari get this guy on a com channel now!" Tk yelled as he tried to dodge volley after volley of laser and missile fire.

"Opening com channel, channel lock established, if you're going to say something then now would be the time." Kari yelled to Tk as she continued to scan their ship. "And I still don't have any readings on that ship, whatever it is it's not in the database."

"Well good work on the com anyway, but I thought we had a list of all registered ships."

"Well they are bounty hunters, that ship might not be registered." Kari started to scan the damage on the angelic.

"This is the angelic calling the unknown ship which is attacking us, unknown ship please respond." Tk said through the com channel.

"Tk, that ship isn't shooting at us." Kari yelled as she ran over to the view screen.

"What are you talking about Kari, they keep barely missing us." Tk asked her in confusion.

"Yeah think about that, barely." Kari said as she rigged a few wires together on the monitor. "Take a look at this." She said activating the screen.

"What is that?" Tk asked as he saw something just off to the sides of the ship being hit. "No that can't be, how long have we had that with us?"

"Yeah well I'd be willing to bet that tracer's been with us since we left Masa Sector." Kari said as she typed in a few things on her consol.

"What are you doing Kari?" Tk asked as she typed.

"Opening communication with that ship, if I'm right then we're going to need his help." She continued typing. "There, that should do it." As Kari finished typing a hail frequency opened on an extremely low band with.

"Angelic, this is the Lobo, do you read? I repeat. Angelic, this is the Lobo, do you read?"

"Lobo, this is the Angelic, we read you. I repeat, Lobo this is the Angelic, we read you, over." Tk said in response.

"Well took you dang well long enough." The voice said over the com channel. "How many other lessons have you forgotten while way from us I wonder? Oh well, that's not important right now, ok hold still, and let me get rid of that tracer would ya."

"Right, take it out Lobo." Tk said bringing the ship to full stop. You know we thought you were a bounty hunter."

"Yeah well I am, but you know I can't turn my back on family."

"Family? Who are you?" Tk asked now more confused than before.

"Whoa, you're telling me you forgot your own brother's voice."

"Yamato!? Is it really you?" Tk's face lit up. "How longs it been Bro.?"

"Oh, two maybe three years, ever since you joined up with that Yagami girl."

"Hey what's that supposed to mean?" Kari asked over the channel.

"Whoa Tk are nuts? Dads gonna flip."

"Yeah well let him, he'll began to under stand after a while." Tk said as he began moving again."

"Right, you're braver than I am."

"Yeah well I have been for a long time now Matt."

"Ok, tracer has been removed. Follow this course and t will bring you to our newest dock, we're going to need it to get this thing fixed." Matt said as he transmitted the path to them.

"Thanks Bro." Tk looked at the course. "They've gotten creative lately."

"Why do you say that?" Kari asked as she turned off the com channel.

"Take a look for your self." He said putting the course chart on the view screen.

"Whoa, yeah I'd like to see anyone find that with out a map." She said as she stared at the screen.

"Find what with out a map?" Gato asked as she stepped on to the bridge of the ship. "Whoa, what's this map to?"

"The repair dock." Tk said as he sat down and relaxed for the first time in a long time.

"Repair dock? We're going to a repair dock?" A voice called from the bedroom doorway.

"Yeah Pata, My families repair dock to be precise."

"Oh, but wasn't your family mad at you for choosing Kari over them?" Pata asked as he flew forward.

"Yes, but they never turn away family, even if they are upset with them." Tk grinned. "They'll hide us here for as long as they can, but it will be up to Kari to get them to repair the ship."

"Why is that again?" Kari asked.

"Because you're the owner of the ship, and my dad won't repair the ship of someone he doesn't like."

"Meaning?"

"Meaning that you going to get my dad to like you, and that won't be easy, mainly because you're of the Yagami blood line." Tk said looking at her.

"But we'll be alright for a while any way, right?" Kari asked standing up, she was obviously nerves about this.

"Don't worry, we'll be fine, you stole my heart with just a look, I'm sure you can win my dad over Kari." As Tk said this he got up out of his seat, and walked up behind her pulling her in to a hug. "We will make it through this, and come out as better people in the end Kari, I have on doubt about that."

Kari smiled at not only the hug she was now in but also his words. "Thank you Tk, thank you."

"For what?"

"For always being there for me." Kari gave a sigh, and turned to face him. "Ever since the day we met you have been there to protect me, and watch over me, did I tell you why my family named this ship the Angelic?"

"Yes, and I still remember, they named it the Angelic because it seemed to show up from no where one day during your first mission, your ship had taken major damage and couldn't be saved, as the final volley of fire flew at the ship you were in you readied your self for death, but just as the missiles were about to hit, this ship came from nowhere and you somehow found you self on it's bridge, you won your first battle with it, and in that battle it acted as if your guardian angel." Tk smiled. "And that's why your family gave it the name of Angelic."

"You remember that?" Kari asked as a tear fell from her eye.

"Of course I do." Tk answered. Just then the felt hard jerk. "Whoa guess we've docked." He said with a smile. "Come on, the faster we get to the dock the better, my dad hates waiting."

"Right." Was all that Kari said.

At the dock.

"Right when I give the go ahead I want you two make this ship your first priority, got that?"

"Yes sir commander Ishida sir." The worker said with a great deal of fear.

"Still get their obedience the same way you use to old man." Tk said as the lift lowered.

"Yeah well it works, so why change it?" Ishida said as he walked up to the lift gate. "And who do we have here?" He asked looking at Kari.

Kari looked at Tk who gave a nod. "My name is Hikari of the Yagami clan, and I am the owner of this vessel."

The pleasant look in Ishida's eyes quickly changed at the name of Yagami. "Why are you here." He asked curtly.

"I'm here to get my ship fixed, and if you don't like the name of Yagami then forget I said it, as it is my family has disowned me."

Ishida at this began to laugh. "Alright in that case get to work on this ship."

Tk looked at his dad in confusion.

"What she's not afraid to speak her mind, and she is as beautiful as you said, I don't see any reason not to help her."

"Have you gotten soft in you old age." Tk asked as he stared at his father.

"Nope but if you two are together still, then I know you love her and that she loves you." Ishida smiled. "So it is inevitable that you will marry if you haven't yet done so."

Tk smiled at the thought of Kari being Mrs. Takaishi, rather than Hikari Yagami.

"That's what I thought." Ishida smiled. "Come on I'll show you two your room, it will take a few weeks to repair that thing, and that's if you don't want new weaponry." Ishida looked back at Kari. "Do you want new weaponry, and shields?"

"I'd love them, but I have nothing to pay you with." Kari said as she lowered her head.

"Don't worry, there's no charge."

"Really?!"

"Yep, and if you like I can even add a few special items."

"Fine by me, we could use every advantage possible." Kari's voice got very serious. "We have a lot of ground to cover, we need to find out who set us up."

"Well I'll install a subcom link to this place, and I'll get every bit of info I can, we'll help you clear your names I promise."

"Thank you, Mr. Ishida, can you have someone escort Gato and Pata, to our room?"

"Whoa first off if you must call me anything it's Ishida, no Mr. stuff, and who are Gato and Pata?"

"Their friends of ours dad, their gen-pets." Tk said as they walked down the corridor.

"I'll have them escorted to the room, and speaking of which, here we are." Ishida said as he pushed a button, and opened the door. "This is our best room, so enjoy." With this Ishida walked off toward the dock.
