Flight of the Angelic, Part three.

As Tk and Kari lay there asleep, a light beside the bed began to flash, and a beep sounded each time it came on. "Oh, come on this is unbelievable." Tk said as he stretched waking Kari.

"Mmm, what's with the noise?" Kari questioned.

"I don't know, I think its dads subspace communicator." Tk said sitting up.

"Tk that's the ships com system, that's coming from inside the ship." Kari said with hint of fear in her voice.

"What!? You're joking." Tk said as he looked at the flashing light. Tk reached out and flipped the switch.

"What are you doing?" Kari asked in shock.

"Finding out what's going on, that's what." Tk said before a voice came over the com.

"Took you two long enough, you need to get out here, we've reached Mune sector."

"Who is this?" Kari asked not recognizing the voice.

"Forgot me already have you Kari, hey Bro. I think you could do better than her."

"Shut-up Yama, Kari is the one I love and no one else will do for me, got it?" Tk yelled through the com system. "Now you mind telling me what the heck you're doing here, I know dad hasn't gone that soft."

"I snuck on broad, my ship is in one of the lower cargo holds." Matt said as he cut off the com.

"Yama, Yama, Dang him." Tk said looking at Kari. "He has left us no choice but to go out there and talk with him."

"Ok, I see, let's get dressed and talk to him in that case." Kari said getting up. "As is he made it sound important that we get to the bridge anyway."

"Yeah but he has a thing about doing that." Tk commented as he pulled on some clothes.

"I guess we'll find out if it's important or not when we get out there." Kari smiled as she said this. "It is nice to have someone else along."

"True and I never got to spend as much time with my brother as I would have liked." Tk added.

"So we talk to him and let him stay if he likes."

"I guess so." Tk said standing and walking out the door.

"Where ya been little Bro." Matt said as he grabbed Tk from behind in a headlock. "You guys are confident in dad's technology if you're willing to sleep with the ship still moving."

"Yeah well he has yet to let me down, so I figured I'd give him the benefit of the doubt." Tk said trying to pull out of the headlock.

"Give it up little Bro." Matt held even tighter. "You've never gotten out of one of my headlocks before, and I doubt you can now."

"We'll see about that." Tk said grabbing Matt's arm.

"Oh yeah righ..." Matt's eyes widened in shock as Tk pulled his arm away. "How in the world could you have gotten this strong!?"

"Fighting outlaws and thieves helps." Tk said pulling out of the hold and standing up. "Now you mind explaining what you're doing here?"

"Yes that's what I'd like to know." Kari said stepping out of the bedroom.

"I'll explain in the conference room." Matt said walking through a door on the other side of the bridge.

"Now what?" Kari asked looking at the door. "I don't remember that door being there."

"I guess we follow him." Tk answered as he walked over to the door. "And dad probably put in a new room to serve as a conference room."

"Ok right, I don't remember seeing anything about that on the blueprints."

"Do you really mind that much?" Tk asked her.

"No, I kinda like it." Kari answered with a smile. "Its just I like knowing my ship front to back."

"I can understand that, but you know now so no problem right?"

"Right."

In the conference room:

"Oh, you made breakfast." Tk said stepping in to the room.

"Well, no I wasn't the one to do this." Matt said as he stared puzzling over the fresh cooked food.

"Morning!" Was heard from behind them, in a rather chipper tone.

"Mimi!?" Matt turned in shock to see a girl his age (18) standing there smiling.

"Yep, did you really think I was going to stay put and wait for you to get back?" Mimi asked looking at Matt.

"I was trying to keep you safe." Matt said as he lowered his head.

"Well that's not how this works, I promised to stay with you no matter what, till death do us part, or does that mean nothing to you?" Mimi questioned with a hint of anger in her voice.

"I only wanted to protect you, I care too much about you to put you in danger." Matt said looking up at her.

"Well we're married so I go where you go, and don't forget that." Mimi said as she went back to being chipper.

"Um, you're married?" Kari said stepping to the room right at the end of the conversation.

"Heh, I thought it would be better if you two didn't know I was out here with a wife else where." Matt said sheepishly as he scratched the back of his head.

The look on Tk's face became one of irritation. "I think I disserved to know that I have a sister in-law."

"How long have you been planning to come with us exactly?" Kari asked staring Matt in the face.

"Since about a month before you arrived at the docks."

"You're kidding, here I was thinking this was a spontaneous act." Mimi said in shock.

"Yeah well, there has never been an Ishida that has turned his back on another in a time of need." Matt looked into Mimi's eyes. "And if he needs anything right now it's help."

"Matt I must ask you to go back, staying with us will make you both outlaws." Tk said as he sat down and began to eat.

"And we can't allow you to do that." Kari said as she sat down next to Tk. "This is our problem, not yours."

"Oh but it is our problem Kari." Matt said sitting across from her. "You see if one Ishida is targeted all Ishida are."

"Yeah that's right, and I'm part of the family now, so you're not getting rid of me that easily." Mimi said as she sat down next to Matt."

"But I am not of the name Ishida, Matt you know mom had my name switched to Takaishi after her and dad split up." Tk looked his brother in the eye.

"You won't get rid of me on a technicality little Bro." Matt then smiled. "I choose to stay, and there is nothing you can do to change my mind."

"And I stay with Matt no matter what comes." Mimi grinned. "So face it you're stuck with us."

"Oh, I give up." Tk stood. "Alright you can stay, but if you do you're here for the long hall, after today there is no turning back, now is the only chance you're getting to back out."

"You have our answer." Matt said plainly.

"Very well, welcome to the nightmare that is our journey." Tk said putting a hand out.

"May you never falter from the course." Kari added as she put her hand atop his.

"We will see you through this even if it takes our lives." Matt said as he added his hand.

"You will always have us there to aid you." Mimi then put her hand on the top of the stack.

"Now let's get this bird moving, we have a lot of ground to cover." Tk said as he looked at each of the people there with him.

"Yeah!!!!" Was the response from the other three.

As they all came back out to the bridge, Kari took com, Tk took helm, Matt took weapons, and Mimi took ops.

"Ok, let's get going." Tk said as he began the check list. "Com?"

"Check." Kari yelled from her station.

"Ops?"

"Check." Mimi yelled out.

"Weapons?"

"Check." Matt said loudly.

"Engines are go, all systems check out, begin jump sequence."

"Begging jump sequence." Mimi said as she hit a few buttons. "Jump sequence ready."

"On my mark. Now!" There was a slight delay before space and time folded around the Angelic. The area where the Angelic was began glowing and it then shot forward.

"How's she doing ops?" Kari asked as the ship shook.

"All systems green, she's holding together, and the jump field is stable." Mimi said as she kept her balance as best she could.

"How's our path?" Tk questioned.

"The path is clear, we are approaching the designated area, preparing to exit jump field, every one hold on this is going to be bumpy." The Angelic shifted hard as it reentered normal space.

"Report." Tk said standing.

"No damage to the ships hull, and all systems look to be in order." Mimi said sitting down.

"No damage to weaponry systems." Matt reported as he to took a seat.

"Com system is with in normal parameters." Kari said as she turned her chair to face the others.

"Engines are a little shaken but nothing that we can't handle." Tk said before turning around. "Now you mind telling me why the heck we were moving at the speed of a class 5 battle ship when we are in a class 2 cargo."

"Heh, dad thought you might like a new engine." Matt said with a gulp.

"Well nice to know that we have a fleet class engine, it would have been better if I had known before the jump!"

"Cool it, we're all still alive, so there is no need to go flying off the handle." Mimi said standing up.

"You're right, I should be happy that we can move that fast." Tk turned around again, he then began to scan the area. "Alright the nearest inhabitable planet is an hour away by sub-light engine."

"Is that where we're going?" Mimi asked.

"Yes that is our destination, for now any way." Tk answered. "Once there we will gather info on the two people we're looking for."

"Well that makes sense, but what are their names?" Matt asked.

"Garret the green and a woman by the name of scarlet."

"Do they work together?"

"Don't know, that's part of what we need to find out." Tk said standing up.

"Where are you going?" Mimi asked staring at him.

"Matt show me your ship." Tk about ordered him.

"Hmm, why?" Matt sitting up.

"Because I need to know every bit of our arsenal."

"Right, come on." Matt said standing.

As Matt and Tk left, Mimi and Kari looked at each other. "So how do you think Matt will take it?" Kari asked Mimi.

"Take what?" Mimi asked.

"Having Tk be the one in charge." Kari answered.

"Oh, that." Mimi giggled. "It will take getting used to, but he'll manage."

"I hope so, Tk is a lot stronger than he was when he first became a bounty hunter." Kari looked at the floor. "And he has changed as a person as well, he no longer questions his ability to lead."

"Well, they will make it through this, we will all make it through this, and you have my word that you will be seen as heroes by the end of all this mess." Mimi said in a reassuring tone.

"Thanks Mimi, I needed to here that." Kari said with a half smile.

"Think nothing of it, and call me sis, we're practically family anyway." Mimi said smiling.

"I guess you're right." Kari said giggling.

Lower cargo bay:

"Here she is, The Wolf, a class 4 short range battle flier." Matt said pulling the tarp off of it to reveal the ship.

"Whoa, where did you get this thing?" Tk asked looking over the beauty of a ship.

"I took it from one of my marks." Matt answered with a smirk.

"Is she legal?" Tk asked looking at Matt.

"Yep, legal and registered." Matt said as he patted his ship.

"So you gave your flier the same name as your ship, that figures." Tk said looking at the insignia on the outer hull, it was a blue wolf. "Why blue?"

"Why do you think?" Matt asked standing and looking Tk in the eye.

"Right the eyes, I should have known." Tk as he looked the ship over once more. "She'll serve us well"

"You better believe it." Matt resounded pride showing in his voice. "She has yet to let me down."

"That's good to here." Tk said smiling. "Come on lets get back to the bridge."

"As you wish, commander Takaishi." Matt with a smirk.

"It's not commander yet Matt, we are all family here." Tk said walking to the door.

"What of Kari?" Matt asked foolishly.

"As soon as this is all over, she will be my wife." Tk answered plainly.

Matt just stared in shock for a moment. "Hey wait for me."

Back on the bridge:

The Angelic continued on it path to the planet.

"Mimi report." Tk said as walked back on to the bridge.

"No sign of ship activity except us, we have confirmed the planet to be in the solar system of risar, the only inhabitable planet, is the planet of risar its self, there are several inhabited moons, and a space station, but other than that nothing."

"Alright we go to risar." Tk said as he sat down. "Estimated time to arrival?"

"45 minutes." Kari said looking at him.

An alarm went off shortly after. "Hmm, report." Tk yelled as he shot up.

"Sensors show four ships closing in, there coming from all sides." Mimi said as she tried to figure out how they could have done this.

"Great, Matt get to your ship, this will take more than just the Angelic." Tk said as he got ready for a fight.

"Right, on my way." Matt said dashing off.

"Kari take tactical." Tk ordered.

"Right, you got it." Kari hit a few buttons. "Com control has been switched over to tactical." Kari then ran over to where Matt had been before.

All four ships came up at once. "Tk we're being hailed, should I answer?" Kari asked as she looked at him.

"Yes, they may not have bad intentions." Tk said standing.

The view screen came on, and there stood a rather large man. "Give your selves up peacefully and you may all live through this.

"Why do you seek to capture us?" Tk asked looking at the man on the view screen.

"You are Takaishi Takeru, and Yagami Hikari, are you not?"

"What is it to you if we are?"

"You are worth five fortunes, and many people hunt you boy." The man laughed. "But I was lucky enough to find you, and you are worth the same dead or alive, so I would suggest you give your selves up."

"Fat chance, you will regret this in counter." Tk said as he signaled for Kari to cut the com line. "Matt."

"Yeah Bro.?" Matt said over the com.

"Let's roast these birds." Tk said with a smile.

"Aye, aye." Matt said as he started his ship. "Ready to launch any time."

"Then go for it." Tk said pushing the button to open the cargo bay doors.

"Every one ready?"

"You better believe it." Kari said grinning.

"Well that guy does need to be taught a lesson." Mimi commented smiling.

"Alright then let do this." Tk yelled as the battle began.

A/N: I know I'm a little evil for stopping here but I make this to long and there are alot of people that won't read it, so you'll just have to come back to see what happens next. Next chapter Angelic's fight, Enter the dragon. Till next we meet my friends.
