Ken walked through the cool streets of Odaiba. It was so peaceful at night. Different for the day, when everyone was in
a hurry to get to where they were going.
Ken sighed, and wandered around, and didn't realize that he stumbled
into the park. He looked around, and
saw happy couples enjoying each other's company, and them gazing at the stares.
Ken smiled. How he
wish he could be happy, just like them.
Nobody could make him happy. He
didn't deserve to be happy. Not after
what he did. He didn't expect anyone's
forgiveness. That was why he was so
shocked that Daisuke could forgive him so quickly. The mahogany haired boy had some interesting traits that
captivated the ex-Kaiser's attention.
He wasn't sure why. Whenever he
was around Daisuke, he had a weird feeling.
Maybe it was envy, he previously concluded. The boy practically had no worries in the
world. He had friends, a family (even
though he had a disturbing sister), and no regrets. The complete opposite of himself. Maybe that was what attracted him to the young boy. Ken pondered over this a little more.
Laughter met the young genius's ears. Curiosity began to get him, and he began to
look for the source of it. He blinked
once. Then twice, then three
times. He still couldn't believe what
was before him.
There. Two rivals
were in each other's arms. Takeru and
Daisuke. And they seemed to be enjoying
each other's company. As long as he
knew those two, they always fought. He
had always thought it was over the child of light. Sometimes he'd envy the light for the love and attention she
received from everyone.
Well, maybe the two have them become good friends. And forgot about Hikari, thought Ken to
himself. But, his thought were half
justified when he saw Takeru lean in to kiss Daisuke. Shock written all over Ken's face. When EXACTLY did this happen between the keeper of hope
and the keeper of courage and friendship?
But, why was he getting worked up over this. It made no difference to him. Daisuke was still his friend. Takeru…well he and the young blonde weren't
on great terms, but they were friendly terms.
Ken noticed it was starting to get late, and decided to
start heading home.

"Mimi-chan is coming to visit!! Mimi is coming to visit!!"
screamed Miyako as she jumped up and down.
Her purple hair going everywhere as she bounce.
Koushiro sweatdropped at Miyako's antics. "Miyako-chan, you should calm down"
suggested Koushiro. Koushiro began to
wonder why Miyako looked up to Mimi so much.
But, Mimi did have everything.
"I just can't!" exclaimed Miyako, and other people in the
airport continued to stare at the young girl in fright.
"Where are TK and Daisuke?
They said they'd be here. They
are 15 minutes late" wondered Hikari outloud.
"Daisuke, I can expect.
Demo, TK…" spoke Yamato in agreement with Hikari.
"The both probably got hung up doing something else"
shrugged Taichi
"Mimi's plane should be here soon" stated Jyou
"We're here!" announced Daisuke with TK by his side. Both smiling.
"About time" commented Yamato.
"Yeah, Mimi-chan should be arriving any minute" added Hikari
"Hey everyone!!" squealed Mimi as she came out of her gate,
and surprising everyone.
"MIMI!!" exclaimed Miyako as she attached herself to her
mentor.
"It's great to see you again Mimi" greeted Jyou
"Yeah, it's been so long" agreed Yamato.
Everyone gave Mimi a hug.
It was good to have all the digidestined back again.

"…It was so great to see Mimi-san again too" finished
Daisuke as he was talking with Ken on the phone.
"Mhmm" replied Ken
"Ken, daijobu ka?"
"Hai, daijobu"
Daisuke couldn't put his finger on it, but, something was
definitely wrong with Ken. "Are you
sure?"
"Yeah"
"Ken, I have something that I've been dying to tell someone
for the past week" spoke Daisuke
"What is it Dai?"
"Well, Takeru and I have been going out for the past
week. We haven't told the others yet,
we're kind of scared as what they think" answered Daisuke
"Well, If you two really do love each other, then you
shouldn't care what the others think.
But, you should tell them" advised Ken.
The news was breaking his heart.
He wasn't sure why. His feelings
were so tangled, like a cat tangled in a ball of yarn. Maybe.
When? How? WHY?
Ichijouji Ken was in love with Motomiya Daisuke.

"Tai! I need the phone!" yelled Hikari at her older
brother. Hikari knew Taichi was talking
to Sora, but, she needed to make a call to Mimi. She hadn't seen the older girl in so long, and she wanted to talk
to her. Since she was much older now,
she could talk to Mimi about more things, besides digimon stuff.
Tai rolled his eyes at his little sister. I liked it better when she was
younger. At least them she didn't need
the phone 24/7. Taichi quickly said
goodbye to Sora, and told her she'd call her back later.
Hikari smiled appreciatingly at Tai as he made his way to
the couch to watch some TV. Hikari
dialed Mimi's number.
"Hi, Tachikawa residence, Mimi speaking"
"Hi Mimi-chan!" chirped Hikari
"Hey Hikari, Wassup?" questioned Mimi
"Nothing. Just
wanted to see how your doing" replied Hikari
"You kicked me off the phone with Sora for this?!" yelled
Taichi
"Yes, now be quiet!" yelled back Hikari.
Mimi giggled.
"Actually Hikari, I kind of like these two guys. But, I'm not sure how to choose. I would ask Sora, but she's too infatuated
with Taichi"
"Yeah" agreed Hikari.
"So, who are the two guys?"
"Well….Yamato and Jyou"
"Alright, I can understand Jyou, but Yamato. You guys never really do talk"
Mimi sighed. "I
know. I just can't help liking him"
"Well, I know it's difficult to be in the situation your in
now. I mean, Takeru and Daisuke like
me" Hikari giggled at the thought of the two boys fighting for her affection,
"Demo, you have to choose"
"Yeah, I know. But,
Jyou is so smart, and he makes you feel that you are too. Yamato, he's so cool, and he has such a big
heart too" gushed Mimi
"Well, can't really help you. Maybe you should talk to Miyako-chan. She's doing really well with her relationship with Koushiro-kun"
"Those two are made for each other. They are so kawaii together too" agreed Mimi
"Yeah, well, I have to go.
Tai is about to strangle me unless I get off the phone. Ja Mimi-chan"
"Ja Hikari-chan"

I actually could have had a chance with him. And now, it's gone. Takeru beat me to the punch. What am I going to do? An air of depression surrounded
Ken. He actually had a chance with
Daisuke. And he missed. He fucking
missed it. He felt so damn stupid. A first in Ichijouji Ken's life.
