Chapter 1

Tk POV

Tk slowly walked to school, black dots dancing in front of his eyes every now and then. He couldn't see straight and was swaying side to side every now and then. It was pouring outside and the streets were deserted. He thought it was the weather that was making him so cold, even though he was sweating, but he knew there was only one other reason for his conditions…. Tk Takeshi was sick. (A/N: Sorry but is that how you spell his last name I'm not sure. Please tell me if it isn't) Maybe he should have stayed at home like Matt had said.

Flashback

"Tk are you alright" a startled Tk looked up into the concerned eyes of his big brother, Matt. He didn't even notice that he had drowned his cereal in milk. He immediately stopped and stood up to clean the mess avoiding his brother's eyes.

"Fine" he had muttered

"Are you sure you don't wanna stay home? You sure have been quit these past few days and you look pale." Tk could tell his brother was worried about him.

"Don't worry Matt! I'll be fine. See you later" and with that ran out the door.

End of Flashback

He didn't want to admit it but, maybe Matt was right. It had taken six whole minutes for him to catch is breath after he had ran out the door. The blue eyed, blonde was too stubborn for his own good. He was getting dizzier by the second and just when he felt he was about to pass out. He felt a hand grab he shoulder. Startled he turned around and came to face with Davis.

"Oh…hi Davis….uh….what is it?" he asked casually hoping Davis didn't hear he voice waver.

Davis POV

Davis looked at the blonde, who he instantly saw was sick. The boy's cheeks were flushed even though he was sweating. He had pink bags under his eyes and his skin was a pale sickly color. Upon further inspection he saw that the teen was slightly shivering.

"Hey Tk. didn't you hear my calling you?

"…are you Ok?" he continued after the youthful blond didn't answer, worry showing all over his face.

"Uh…Of course Davis! Why wouldn't I be ok!!.... Why do you ask!?! He asked waving his hands in front of him franticly, which only made him dizzier.

"Come on… just admit it. You know you are!" Davis shouted making the teenagers headache worsen. The cute blonde was starting to get on his nerves…Wait on a minute did I just compare Tk to cute?!? No that couldn't be right. Maybe he had just thought about Tk and Kari and the same time. But, now that I think about it Tk did look awfully cute with his sweat socked bangs in his eyes and his cheeks all flushed. Before he could go any further with his thoughts he noticed that Tk still hadn't said anything and looked up. Tk looked like he was about to pass out. And was swaying a little.

"Hey are you gonna admit that your sick or not" Davis continued placing his hands on his shoulders to stop him from swaying.

Tk looking like he had just come out a trance blinked and stepped back "Don't worry….. I'm…. alright" he stammered catching his breath.

"Whatever" he scoffed. After thinking he added "Let's go, your gonna make us both late for school." With that he grabbed Tk's hand and they both started on their way to school.

Tk's last thought was `what a pretty light'…….

Matt's POV after Tk left

Matt looked at the door Tk had just left through. Tk was hiding something, he knew it. He had talked to Tk's friends and they had all said the same thing. There was still that girl he and the others had seen….

Flashback to a week and a half ago

In the park where all the digidestined except for Tk were seating near a tree, old and new. It was a beautiful day and no one knew where Tk was. They had all agreed to meet in the park at 1:00 on Saturday for a picnic. They were all there except for Tk. It was already 1:16.

"Gee, I wonder where the fuck Tk is, he should have been here ten minutes ago!! I'm tired of waiting!" everyone could tell she was about to hurt someone if Tk didn't show soon.

"Gosh, calm down Yolie! I'm tired of all you're yelling." Davis yelled, growing tired of all of nagging.

"What'd you say you little pipsweak?"

"You heard me!" Davis retorted

"I'll squash you like a bug." Yolie said in a dangerously low voice. A vain throbbing.

"You and what are army!?!"

"Hey wait you two! No fighting!" Tai yelled just as he saw that Yolie was about to pounce on Davis. "We're supposed to be waiting for Tk not fighting."

"Tai's right, how about we walk around for awhile to see if we see him?" Matt suggested hoping to distract Yolie's hands from pulling the skin off Davis's face. His suggestion worked because suddenly dropped her death hold from Davis's face and merely stepped over him to walk. `Wow that was close' he thought as he, Kari and Joe helped Davis off the floor.

"I wonder what's wrong with Tk." Kari said so quietly that everyone stopped in their tracks and looked at her. It had been two weeks since Tk and Kari had broken up and had finally admitted they didn't like each other in "that" way. "He's been acting strange and distant lately" she continued, eyes on the ground.

"As a matter of fact, he has been quite these past few days." Yolie added, looking up to the sky a puzzled look on her face. "I wonder what's wrong." All the digidestined nodded their heads and looked at Matt expectantly waiting for him to explain.

"I don't know what's wrong with him. I've tried to talk to him, but all he ever say's is `don't worry' or `I'm fine'. I'm gonna talk to him today, if we ever find him." Matt said that last part with a sigh.

"Hey! Speaking of Tk, isn't that him over there? But who is that with him?" Izzy pointed at a tree with two swings. There sitting on a was Tk swaying back and forth, his head down. And next to him was a girl. She had light, brown hair with two little pigtails. Her hair was up to her butt. She was wearing Knee high boots, with a blue mini skirt with a red T-shirt. They couldn't see her eyes either. She was staring at the ground. Swinging here feet. They were both sitting on opposite sides of each swing. Each swinging back and forth at different times.

"Doesn't he see us?" Ken asked "We're right in front of him and who the heck is that girl?"

They all stared in wonder as Tk and the mysterious girl swinging like that for a couple of minutes. Every now and then the girl would give a small giggle and smile over at Tk. And Tk would only smile back and continue to swing. "Ugh that's it! I'm not gonna watch them swing all day. I'M GONNA FIND OUT WHO THAT MYSTERIOUS GIRL IS. Hey Tk! Over here!" Matt yelled

Tk finally looked up. Instead of the usual cheerfulness you always found in his eyes. Instead he had a blank look. Just as soon as it came it went and his blue eyes had the sparkle it always had. "Hey guys!" Tk said in his usual cheerful self.

"Um Tk…who is that girl sitting next to you?" Joyu asked

"What girl?" Tk asked standing up and cocking his head to the side.

"What do you mean `what girl!?!' " Davis nearly shouted. She's sitting right there…" Davis trailed off and they looked at him. Davis had gone pale and was staring behind Tk, everyone followed his eyes and everyone gasped. On the swing, opposite of the one Tk had been sitting on, was no one. The swing was gently being pushed by the wind. There was no one in sight. No girl with long hair. No girl with the knee high boots. No one.

"This just isn't possible" Sora whispered "Where's that girl?" Tk sweatdropped

"Ok you guys are freaking me out. What fucking girl are you talking about?" Tk was getting exasperated.

"Maybe it was ghost we saw" Mimi said

"Yeah maybe this is the place where she died and she can't rest in piece without" Tai added

"Or maybe even she lost her lover here and is waiting him to return and take her away!" Kari tried.

"I think you guys should see a psychiatrist." A vain throbbing in his head. "Come on . Let's go!!!" And with that Tk smiled and started walking back to the park to have their picnic. Everyone watched him and then after a minute started after him. All the while everyone thinking `I guess it was just in our heads.'

End of Flashback

Matt knew they all had not imagined that mysterious girl. Now all they had to do was to get Tk to talk about it…..
