"Animal!"
"What?" Matt asked, looking up at the top bunk.
"That's your new nickname." White Snake grinned, "Animal Ishida. Sounds good don't it?"
"I guess." Matt grinned sheepishly, "Why Animal?"
"Because. You fight like one. You even bit the guy for Christ sake..." White Snake winked.
Matt blushed, "Well that's what happens when you molest my man package."
White Snake laughed and jumped down off the bunk-making it squeak loudly.
"You're a quick-witted SOB ain't yuh?" He said with a smile.
"I guess so." Matt replied. "So...you ever going to tell me your real name?"
White Snake shrugged and pushed a stray bang out of his eye, "The name's Johnny Hamada, but all the smart people call my White Snake or Snake."
Matt nodded, "So...why White Snake?"
"Because..." White Snake unzipped his coveralls to his waist. "Of this..."
He turned to show Matt the giant white snake that was tattooed all over his back.
"The white snake is my favorite animal..." Johnny explained.
"Cool tattoo." Matt said.
"Thanks." White Snake smiled, zipping his coveralls back up.
"Ishida." A guard grumbled-walking up to the cell. "You've got visitors."
"Lucky shit." White Snake grinned. "See you at lunch, Animal."
"Yeah. See yuh."
The guard cuffed Matt's hands in front of him instead of behind his back.
"You're in visitor's room number one today..." The guard said.
Matt nodded, wondering who was visiting him. He hoped it was Tai or TK. He really needed to see a familiar face. The guard led Matt down a long dark hallway and opened the door. TK and his mother were waiting for him.
"Matt!!" TK cried, hugging his brother.
"Dear lord. What happened to your face??" Nancy Takaishi exclaimed.
"Got in a fight." Matt simply replied-leaning into his brother's hug.
"You look so tired...have you slept at all?" Nancy asked.
Matt shook his head. "Where's Tai?"
TK and Nancy exchanged glances.
"We don't know." TK said, "We called him, but there was no answer..."
Matt's heart sank, "Oh..."
"I'm sure we'll come and visit, Matt. Don't worry." TK said.
Matt nodded silently.
"So..." Nancy said, a bit awkwardly, "How've you been...?"

Tai was brushing his teeth with one hand and combing his hair with the other. He couldn't believe he slept right through his alarm!!! TK and his mom had already left to visit Matt and Tai wasn't with them! He was in luck though, he called Izzy in hysterics and the redhead offered to give Tai a ride to the jail. He rinsed his mouth out and washed his face. He threw everything into his cupboard and went to get dressed.
Izzy made his way up to the Yagami apartment and rang the buzzer. A few moments later Kari opened the door.
"Hey Izzy. Tai will be right out."
Taichi came running out of his room and jumped into his sandals.
"Hey Izzy!" He said, hugging his friend. "Thank-you so much for doing this!!"
"No problem." Izzy smiled.
Tai grabbed Izzy by the hand and dragged him out.

TK and Nancy's visiting time ran out and the guard escorted Matt to the lunchroom. White Snake was waiting for him.
"C'mon dude. It's Mac 'n' Cheese day!" White Snake grinned, taking Matt by the arm.
Matt and Johnny grabbed their trays and stood in line. Todd got in line after Johnny.
"Hey baby." Todd smiled at Matt.
"You hittin' on my bitch?" White Snake asked, turning to Todd. "I don't like it when people hit on my bitch."
Todd turned whiter than a sheet and rapidly shook his head, "N-no! I wasn't hittin' on him!!"
Todd rushed out of line without his food. White Snake turned back to Matt and winked.
"No problem."
Matt and White Snake laughed and collected their plate of Mac 'n' Cheese and diced hot dogs.
"Want OJ or milk?" The "lunch lady" asked.
"Milk." Matt replied.
"OJ." Johnny said.
They grabbed their cartoned drinks and sat at a table.
"Who visited you?" Johnny asked, opening his carton of juice.
"My mom and my brother."
"Really? Your honey didn't come?"
Matt shook his head sadly, "There was no answer at his house."
"That sucks man...but hey, at least you got visitors. No one comes to see me anymore."
Matt looked up from his lunch and nodded.

"Take a right here." Tai said, looking at the map.
Izzy nodded and put his signal light on.
"Did you want to come visit Matt too?" Tai asked.
Izzy smiled and shook his head, "No. I think you two should have some private time."
Tai smiled and looked at the map again as Izzy made the right turn. They pulled into the cramped parking lot about fifteen minutes later.
"I'll wait in the car." Izzy said.
"Ok. Thanks Izzy." Tai answered, getting out of the car.
Taichi could barely contain his excitement...he was going to see Matt!! He hoped Matt wasn't mad because he hadn't come with TK and Nancy. He made his way to the front desk and rang the bell. A guard rounded the corner and smiled at Tai.
"Hello. How can I help you?"
"I'm uhm...Tai Yagami and I'm here to visit Matt Ishida..."
The guard nodded and looked at his books. "Ok Tai. The inmates are having lunch at the moment, but if you follow me I can show you to a visitor's room where you can wait."
"That'd be great."
The guard led Tai through a maze of ugly green hallways and let him into the room at the very end of the hall. Tai thanked the guard and stepped into the room. The dank uncooked macaroni colored room was furnished with a couch and a couple of "happy" pictures. Tai sighed and paced the dim room. He couldn't wait to see Matt, but he didn't know what to say. He sat on the couch and bounced his knees. He was nervous. What if Matt had nothing but bad news to share with him?

After the inmates finished their lunches it was time to do outdoor activities a.k.a. go to the prison farm and pick vegetables.
"Ishida. You have another visitor." The guard said, slapping the cuffs on Matt.
"Oo la la, Matt. I bet it's your honey." Johnny teased, nudging Matt in the ribs.
"I hope it is..." Matt replied, then followed the guard.
"C'mon Snake!" Another guard yelled, "Hurry your ass up!"
"Yeah yeah..." Snake muttered, following the flow of inmates.
"This way..." The guard said leading Matt down the same hallway. "In here."
The guard opened the door to reveal Tai sitting on the couch. Tai looked up at Matt and his heart broke. Matt had stitches on his forehead, chin, and lip. His left eye was black and his right eye had dark circles under it from lack of sleep. The guard ushered Matt in and closed the door behind him-waiting outside. Matt slowly walked up to Tai-his heart pounding like a jack hammer. Tai stood- tears were pooling in his eyes.
"God Matt...what happened to you...?"
"I'll tell you later..." Matt whispered leaning in and kissing Tai.
Tai wrapped his arms around Matt's neck pressing them closer together.
"I missed you..." Matt whispered against Tai's mouth.
"I missed you too..."
Even though Matt was cuffed he grappled handfuls of Tai's shirt trying to pull himself closer.
"What happened?" Tai murmured-running his finger over the stitches on Matt's forehead.
"Todd was my cell mate...and we got in a fight..."
Tai's eyes widened. "W-what!??!"
"It's ok now. I've got a new cell mate that's been protecting me from everyone else..."
"That's good...I think..." Tai giggled a bit.
Matt smiled sadly and kissed Tai again. "I hate being in here...I'm afraid to sleep, afraid to talk, I can't even take a piss without someone watching me. I want to be with you..."
"We will be together, Matt. We'll throw Sora out on her ass."
Tai sat down on the couch and sat Matt down with him.
"I'm happy you came to visit." Matt said kissing Tai on the cheek.
"All right Ishida." The guard said, coming in. "Time is up."
Matt's eyes watered.
"Can't we have a few more minutes?" Tai pleaded.
The guard shook his head and took Matt by the arm.
"Please!" Tai pleaded again.
"I'm sorry. There's other people waiting..."
Tears rolled down Matt's cheeks as the guard led him out the back door. Tai rushed forward and gave Matt another kiss before the guard pushed him back.
"You can't come this way, buddy. You have to go out the front door."
The guard pushed Tai back into the visitor's room and dragged Matt down the hall. Tai bit his lip to stop himself from crying and ran out.
