[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Chapter 2


Heather sat on the edge of a short cliff. She stared out into the foggy ocean in front of her, throwing a couple rocks every now and then. She looked at her Crest. *What does this really mean? If I have a Crest and Digivice, why don't I have a Digimon? I'm so confused....* she thought. *And how am I going to get home, once this is all over?* She began to cry. Her Crest started glowing. *I'm so homesick...*

Little did she know, someone else was there. Matt watched from a distance, afraid to approach. Gabumon stood next to him. "Just go and talk to her. She seems upset," he told Matt.

"Ya think so? She's been like that for a while now...."


[Flashback]


Heather's Digivice started to glow along with her Crest as Matt handed it to her. She suddenly felt several things at once. There was a wave of confidence, laced with a little friendship. But there was also a little sadness, as she was starting to miss home.

"Hey Heather, are you okay?" Paula asked.

"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine..." Heather said, a little broken from her thoughts. "Ummm....excuse me..." She ran off into the forest.


[End Flashback]

Heather crossed her arms over her knees. She rubbed her wet eyes and laid her head down, still crying.

Being prompted by Gabumon, Matt slowly walked over to her. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked Heather, sitting down next to her.

She looked up and rubbed her eyes again. "Yeah..."

"You don't look like you're 'okay' to me...is something wrong?"

"I'm just a little homesick, that's all..."

"I understand how yout feel. Just when we got home, we ended up having to come back here again. I barely got to see my mom, during the short time we were on Earth."

Heather looked up, as if to say 'go on.' "My parents divorced when I was younger. I went to live with my dad, and T.K. stayed with my mom. I was only able to see her for a short time after we defeated Myotismon."

"Well, you're used to it here. I only arrived this morning, not knowing where I was. I don't know what to watch out for (besides that wacky Kuwagamon). I don't have my own Digimon for defense, so I'm helpless," Heather said.

The two were silent for a few minutes and had no idea that they were being watched.


"They look good together," Tai whispered.

Sora elbowed him in the side. "She just got here this morning! Besides, they're just talking," she said.

"I know that! Still, check 'em out. I didn't know Matt had it in him. Heh."

"I don't know, Tai. We all 'just talk' at some time or another."

"Watch. Later, they'll be inseperable."

"......."

Kiyonimon quitely walked through the forest. She had seen some smoke earlier, and figured there was a campsite. And where there's a campsite, there's DigiDestined. At least in the Digiworld, that is.

"I would have been there a lot sooner if I was Lunamon. My legs are longer that way..." she said to herself.

Finally, she came to the campsite, and was she tired! She came into view of some of the people there, and collapsed on the ground.


"Hey, what's that?" Paula asked.

"I dunno. It looks like some sort of Digimon," Mimi said.

Paula ran over to it. It was a small, pink Digimon. It had pointy ears with two little stars perched on top of them. Paula lifted it up carefully and noticed it had a crescent moon on it's forehead and a star under each eye. "Hey, are you alright?" Paula asked.

Kiyonimon opened her eyes to see a girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a red ribbon. "I....I think so..." She closed her round eyes again.

Paula jogged back to the campsite, where Izzy did an analysis of Kiyonimon.

"Hmmm...That's Kiyonimon. She's only in the In-Training stage, so she isn't much of a problem. But she has attitude." Izzy said.

"She looks tired. Maybe she had to walk all the way through the forest to get here. On top of that, she's injured too," Jeff said.

"I can take care of that," Poo said, casting PSI Lifeup on Kiyonimon. She quickly hopped out of Paula's arms and looked the group over. She saw several other Digimon too.

"I did it...I found some of the DigiDestined!" Kiyonimon said, looking from Mimi, to Joe, to Izzy, to T.K., to Kari.

"Just what do you want?" Gatomon said, stepping up to Kiyonimon.

Kiyonimon shrank back, a little intimidated by the Champion-level Digimon standing before her. "It's none of your business," she said to Gatomon.

"Ohhh, don't we have an attitude!" Gatomon retorted.

"With a capital A, fish-brain." Kiyonimon suddenly started glowing with a bright light. "Kiyonimon! Digivolve tooooooo......Lunamon!" The small, pink Digimon that was there before, was now replaced with a walking star with arms. The stars under her eyes were now crescent moon shapes.

"Ohhhh, you digivolved just for me. Lightning Claw!" Gatomon let loose with electricity, flying from her claws.

"Gatomon, please calm down," Kari said.

"So, ya wanna play with a big leagues huh? Moon Cannon!" Lunamon's fist began glowing, and a small blast came from it. It flew towards Gatomon, but Kari jumped in front of her.

"Please don't hurt Gatomon..." Kari's Crest started glowing, and it repelled the attack. Lunamon stopped.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me," Lunamon said.

Izzy did another analysis. "That's Lunamon. She isn't as much of a crybaby as Kiyonimon was, but she's even rougher. Better watch out with this one."


Back with Tai and Sora...


"Yeesh, they're STILL talking!" Tai groaned.

"What? You expect 'em to kiss or something? No, they just met this morning," Sora said.

"Weeeeeel, Matt's been sneaking glances at her since she woke up! I think he has a crush on her or something."

"Tai, you can be so immature sometimes."

"Look at it this way, Sora. Matt was the one that carried her back to camp. Matt was the only one who didn't back away when she came to. Matt was the first person she saw when she woke up, and Matt was the one that handed her her Digivice. It's as clear as crystal."

"Okay! Okay! Geez..."


"Matt, do you hear something?" Heather asked.

"No, not really, why?"

"I have the feeling we're being watched..." Heather took a small peek behind her.

Matt groaned. "TAIIIIII! We know you're here, just come on out!" he shouted.


"Hoboy..." Tai mumbled.

"See? I toldja so," Sora muttered, giving Tai a little push, sending him flying out from behind the bush.

"Bwah! Uhhh...." Tai looked at Matt, who seemed a little mad. Heather was just blushing big time.

"TAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!"

Back at camp....

Everyone heard Matt's shout. Ness looked up from his comic book. "Do they always fight like this?" he asked Agumon.

"Always."

Matt was running after Tai, kicking up a cloud of dust. "Come back here, you! I'm not done with you yet! I'm gonna shut that big mouth of yours for good this time! AUGH!!"

"C'mon Matt, you know you like her. Why don't you just admit it? HAHAHAHA!" Tai shouted.

Heather was also running behind them, pigtails flying out behind her. "C'mon guys, knock it off!!" she shouted. Sora wasn't too far behind.

"They make a great team, don't they?" Jeff asked.

"What do you mean, 'team?' Look at them! Matt's practically trying to kill Tai, and there's Heather and Sora, trying to calm them down..." Paula said, standing up. She walked over to the two boys.

Matt was shaking Tai by the collar, while Tai was laughing his head off.
"Cant'cha take a joke? It was just a joke!!" Tai bellowed.

"That is NOT funny, you dimwit!" Matt shouted.

Paula walked up to the two shouting boys. "PSI Freeze," she said, showering ice-cold water over them. It was a pretty funny sight, the two of them running around, screaming their heads off trying to evade the cold water. "Have you two learned your lesson?" Paula asked them.

"Yes," Tai and Matt said in unison.

Meanwhile, in Kitusomon's palace...

A fat kid approached the silhouetted figure. He was wearing what seemed to be a red business suit. "Now what are we gonna do again, Lady Kitusomon?" he asked.

"We will eliminate the DigiDestined. We need something to do that with, to trick them." Kitusomon said coldly.

"I have just the thing," the boy said, opening up his suitcase. Inside were eight Dark Digivices. "These may look like ordinary Digivices, but they are actually programmed to turn the Digimon evil when they digivolve to Ultimate level. Perfect for getting rid of those pesky DigiDestined." *And while we're at it, the goodie-turned-evil Digimon can vaporize Ness and his goody-two-shoe friends too! Perfect plan...*

"Only one drawback, Pokey. How will we replace the normal Digivices with the Dark Digivices?" Kitusomon asked.

"I already have that figured out. Parakkimooooooooooon!!" Pokey shouted.

Parakkimon fluttered into the dark throne room. "Yeeeeees?"

"I need ya to tell that Kyonimon (or whatever her name is) to replace their Digivices with these Dark ones." Pokey told him.

"Okayyyy, I could do that..." Parakkimon said. "Just leave everything to me!"

Lunamon kept feeling a wave of confidence over and over again. She knew it was coming from one of the kids at the campsite. By the way, Lunamon had decided to give up on her mission (she did find the DigiDestined, but she ain't turning them in), so she was still at the campsite. Lunamon snuck an occasional glance at Heather, as if the waves were coming from her (which they were. After all, Lunamon is Heather's Digimon.).

"Geez...that IS a long story!" Tai exclaimed.

"Yet every single bit of it happened," Ness said proudly.

"That is amazing. Your spirits got transferred into robots, then you went back in time like 1000 years?!" Izzy asked.

"Yup," Paula said.

"Now let's hear your story," Jeff said to Tai.

Tai began to tell how the weather was all messed up: the blizzard that brought the Digivices, and everything that happened. It took quite a while... All of the Digimon got a word in every so often, so everyone had something to say....except for two people (I don't hafta tell you who ;} ). Heather, in the meantime, was staring into the fire. And Matt just seemed a little quiet.

It was then that Lunamon noticed that Heather was wearing a crest!

But...wouldn't that make nine DigiDestined? After Tai and the other DigiDestined were finished telling the LONG story, Lunamon broke the silence.

"Heather, can I see your Crest?"

Heather looked up. "Sure, Lunamon." She took off her crest and handed it to her. *Lunamon....why does that name sound so familiar?*

As soon as the Crest got into Lunamon's hand, it let loose with a bright magenta light! "Bwah?!" Lunamon shouted. *What does this mean?!*

Everyone was speechless. "I think we found your Digimon, Heather," Sora said.

"I think so," Heather muttered, grinning at Lunamon. Lunamon grinned back.

Parakkimon stared at the campsite. "Oh no, Kiyonimon's digivolved into Lunamon...this isn't good," he muttered. "Lessee here...I have the Dark Digivices, now how am I gonna exchange them for the regular ones?! Lunamon won't do it now, I can tell she's attached to that pigtailed girl."

He stuck it out for a few more minutes (actually, it was more like an hour) until Heather decided to turn in for the night. Everyone agreed with that; it had been a weird day. Now, being that the regular eight DigiDestined had only one blanket, they had to share, like one person gets it every night (And ha ha, tonight was Matt's turn. :p). Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo had their own sleeping bags (and they offered to let one of the DigiDestined use them, but they insisted...).


Matt was having trouble sleeping. He couldn't stand the thought of it being someone's first night in the Digiworld and they were shivering. He glanced over at Heather. She was sort of curled up into a ball, and Lunamon was sleeping next to her. Matt got up.

*Okay, so I guess what Tai said is true...* he thought, walking over to where Heather lay, carrying his blanket. He quietly knelt down next to her and spread his blanket over her and Lunamon. Looking around to see if anyone was awake, he quickly brushed a few strands of hair out of her face.

Now, Matt wasn't the only one awake. Tai got an evil grin on his face as he watched Matt return to his spot. *Ha ha ha! I knew it! Ooooh, am I gonna let him have it tomorrow!! Mwahaha!* he thought, rolling over on his other side.

Needless to say, Matt slept much better.

"Good, they're all asleep," Parakkimon whispered, fluttering into the campsite. He laid down the briefcase he was carrying, and carefully opened it up (whick is kind of hard to do since he has no toes). He fluttered up to each DigiDestined (excluding Heather, since he doesn't know she's a DigiDestined) and swiped their Digivices, replacing them with a Dark Digivice. "Perfect plan! Pokey's smart...for a fat kid," he whispered, closing up the briefcase with the real Digivices inside and fluttering off into the night.

The next morning...

Poo yawned. The four Chosen Ones didn't really get a good sleep for some reason. Poo had circles under his eyes, Paula and Jeff's hair was all messed up, and Ness was still asleep.

"Looks like you guys didn't get much sleep last night," Biyomon said.

"We didn't," Jeff said, rubbing his eyes.

"How come?" T.K. asked.

"Ness was snoring half the night..." Paula said yawning. She looked over at him. He was still snoring, and pretty loudly. "And he still is." She poked him.

"Nnnnn...go away. Lemme sleep...*snore*" Ness mumbled in his sleep.

"Ugh, someone make him stop! I'm trying to comb my hair," Mimi said, annoyed.

"I'll make him stop," Poo said. He walked over to Ness, carrying a bucket of hot water. He splashed it on him. "Wakey-wakey, stumblebutt!"

Ness sat up coughing. "AUGH! Whadja do THAT for?! Kamere, you!" he shouted, leaping up. Poo started to run, Ness chasing him.

"It appears he's much better now..." Izzy said.

Tai grinned. "Hey Matt," he began, "I saw what you did last night..."

Matt looked over at Tai and blushed. "I uhhh.....did what? Heh heh..."

"Admit it! It's proven now. You put your blanket over Heather when ya saw her shivering..." Tai said, sticking his tongue out.

Matt started sweating. "Ummmm uhhh well....hehe, I guess....waitaminute....YOU SAW THAT?!? Augh, kamere you!!" Matt lunged for Tai's throat.

The two boys started running around again. "Ha ha! I knew it!! Matt likes Heather! Maaaatt liiiiikes Heaaaaatherrrrr!! Mwahaha!!"

"Oh, great. Here we go again," Joe muttered.

Luckily, Heather had gone to pick some fruit along with Sora and Kari. They had promptly returned when they heard all the yelling. "What's all the commotion?" Sora asked, carrying a basket of fruit.

"Matt's trying to kill Tai again," Agumon said.

"You should have seen it, Heather. Matt got all embarassed when Tai said that he--" Lunamon ws cut off by Matt clamping his hand over her mouth.

"He did what, Lunamon?" Heather asked her Digimon.

"Uh, heh heh, it's nothing...I'll uh....tell ya later," Matt stuttered.

"........"

A spider-looking machine hovered over the campsite, a fat kid sitting inside. "Parakkimooooooooooooooon!!!"

"No need to shout! I'm right behind you!" Parakkimon said, covering his ears with the tops of his wings.

"Ooooh, looka there! It's Ness and his buddies. And they're off guard! Let's have a little fun, what say Parakkimon?" Pokey asked his sidekick.

"Okilly-dokilly! Parakkimon! Digivolve toooooo......Mothramon!" The little Kirby-like creature with butterfly wings turned into a huge purple-and-white mothlike Digimon.

"Now go get 'em, Mothramon!"


Mothramon hopped out of Pokey's Spider-Mech and swooped down over the campsite.

"Hey, what's that thing?" Jeff asked.

"I dunno," Tai said, an ice-pack on his left cheek.

"I hope it's not Kuwagamon," Joe said nervously.

"Last time I checked, Kuwagamon was orange. That's something different," Gomamon said, loking at the huge purple-and-white thing flying towards them.

"That's Mothramon. His temper is very short, and he can flap his wings to create gusts at over 80 mph!" Izzy said, analyzing it.

Mothramon swooped down over the group, creating a huge gust of wind.

"Ack, that thing's strong! Let's go, guys!" Tai shouted.

"Agumon! Digivolve tooooo.......Greymon!"
"Gabumon! Digivolve tooooo.......Garurumon!"
"Palmon! Digivolve tooooo.......Togemon!"
"Tentomon! Digivolve tooooo.......Kabuterimon!"
"Gomamon! Digivolve toooo.......Ikakkumon!"
"Biyomon! Digivolve tooooo.......Birdramon!"
"Patamon! Digivolve tooooo.......Angemon!"
"Salamon! Digivolve tooooo.......Gatomon!"
"Lunamon! Digivolve tooooo.......Galaxiamon!"

Mothramon stopped what he was doing. He looked around at the nine Champion-level Digimon. Nine?! But there's only eight DigiDestined!

Meanwhile, Lunamon had turned from a walking star to a short human-shape Digimon with lavender skin. Galaxiamon also had purple hair and had sort of a complicated outfit on. She also had small butterfly wings.

"Wow, Galaxiamon has good taste!" Mimi commented.

"Digimon, ATTAAACK!" Galaxiamon commanded.

"Nova Blast!"
"Howling Blaster!"
"Needle Spray!"
"Electro Shocker!"
"Harpoon Torpedo!"
"Meteor Wing!"
"Hand of Fate!"
"Lightning Claw!"
"Nebula Beam!"

Mothramon managed to dodge most of the attacks, except for the Howling Blaster, the Meteor Wing, and the Nebula Beam. He dropped to the ground almost like a fly, and he de-digivolved back into Parakkimon.

Pokey swooped down in his Spider-Mech and picked up Parakkimon.

"Pokey!" Ness shouted. "How did YOU get here?!"

"Same as usual, Pig's Butt," Pokey said. He got a real kick out of calling Ness 'Pig's Butt.' "I just figured out how to manipulate those portals that have been popping up lately to go to certain places..." He went on and on of how he got to the Digiworld until even Izzy and Jeff yawned.

"This guy would be great on PBS," Jeff said.

"PBS?" Izzy asked.

"Heh heh, nothing."


"Just what do you want this time, Pokey?" Paula asked.

"Don't worry, it's not the usual kidnapping-of-the-girl-with-psychic-powers," Pokey said. "Lady Kitusomon wants all of the DigiDestined!"

"And just where is this 'Lady Kitusomon?' " Ness asked.

"Pokey put one finger up. "That's," he began, "a secret."

"I've had enough of you, fat boy. Rainbow Lightning!!" Galaxiamon shouted. But before she could initiate her attack, he fired a beam at her, knocking her back and making her de-digivolve back to Kiyonimon! "Ow," she said.

"I better get out of here. Lady Kitusomon wants to see me," Pokey said, teleporting him and Parakkimon out of the area.


Ness dropped to one knee, breathing hard. "Dangit! I coulda had him if he hadn't been blabbering about getting to the Digiworld," he said.

Heather ran to Kiyonimon and scooped her up. "Are you okay, Kiyonimon?" she asked.

"I've had better days. I've got a score to settle with Parakkimon," Kiyonimon said.

"No, you need to rest right now."

"Lady Kitusomon, I've got some bad news," Parakkimon's voice echoed.

"What happened? Did you switch the Digivices?" Kitusomon asked, Chonchimon at her side.

"Yes, but there is also a ninth DigiDestined."

"What?! Impossible!"

"Yes, there is, I'm sorry to say...what can we do about her?"

"Hmmm...we'll have to bring her here. This won't do, and her Digimon will be useless without her crest. Which one does she have?"

"I...think it's the Crest of Confidence, but I'm not 100% sure..."

"Darnit. Well then, hopefully Pokey will be able to take care of that one..."

"Ow, my head...!"

"I think you brought it upon yourself, Kiyonimon," Paula said. "Maybe you should have just left Pokey to us."

"I couldn't let him get away without at least letting me slap Parakkimon around a little..." Kiyonimon said.

"Get some rest. We'll have to deal with him later," Heather said, placing an ice-pack on Kiyonimon's forehead.

Ness clenched his fist. "I'm gonna take him down, next time I see him. He's not going to get away with hurting a friend," he said.

"Not only that, we still have this Kitusomon to deal with," Tai said.

"But how can we find her? We have no idea where she is!" Sora asked.

Kiyonimon squeezed her eyes shut. "Ugh...I know where she is!" She sat up.
"We'll have to go after her later," Matt said. "You're still weak." Kiyonimon nodded her head in defeat.

"I just can't stand the thought of fighting that thing," Joe said. "If she's anything like you described her, Kiyonimon, then that means trouble."

"You can't back out now, Joe," Gomamon said.

"He's right. We're all in this together!" Heather said, standing up. "We can't just let these hicks just take over the Digiworld like it's a small business!"

"But what can we do?" Mimi asked. "For all I know, Kitusomon's probably insanely powerful!"

"Well, I'm not just going to sit here and rest," Kiyonimon said. "I want to take out Kitusomon and get my freedom!"

Heather sighed, looking at the tiny pink Digimon. "As much as I don't want you to get hurt....okay..."

"Are you sure this is gonna work?" Parakkimon asked, sitting on a rope.

"Yep. If I'm not mistaken, the DummyDestined hafta cross this bridge to get to Lady Kitusomon's lair," Pokey said, chopping off the rope that acted as a handrail. Now the bridge was....just bridge, with no handrail.

"And I digivolve to Mothramon and swoop under the bridge, knocking the DigiDestined off. Sounds like a plan to me!" Parakkimon said, now fluttering in the air above Pokey. "Heh, you're pretty smart -- for a fat kid." Pokey directed a sidelong look at the Rookie-stage Digimon, then stood up.

Parakkimon started to sweat. "Here they come!! Hiiiiiiiiiiiide!" Parakkimon digivolved to Mothramon, then lifted Pokey into a tree.


"Guys, it's a bridge!" Tai said.
"Last time I checked, I thought this thing had handrails..." Lunamon said, carefully stepping onto the bridge.

"It doesn't look very sturdy," Paula said.

"Well, we still have to cross if we want to get to Kitusomon's lair," Lunamon said, motioning for everyone else to follow.


Mothramon smirked. "Heheheh..." As quick as lightning, he swooped under the bridge, knocking several of them off. The rest of them managed to get a hold of a part of the bridge.

Tai looked down as Gomamon, Palmon, Gatomon, Sora, Matt, Heather, Ness, Paula, and Poo fell into the river below. "Oh no!!"

Sora coughed, treading water. She looked around for a sign of anyone else, but only Ness, Paula, and Poo were seen. "Guys! We have to find the others!"

"Right!" Ness said. They started swimming under the water, looking for any signs of the Digimon, or anyone else.

Matt surfaced a few minutes later, holding Gatomon and Palmon. "You guys, Heather and Gomamon's still missing!" he shouted.

Gomamon swam up to the group of kids a second later. "Is everyone okay?" he asked.

"I saw Heather splash down after I surfaced, and I haven't seen her come up yet!" Paula said, panicking.

"I hope she's okay," Palmon said.


Heather opened her eyes to see water. She couldn't breathe, she couldn't think, and she felt pain from hitting the water. 'I guess I'm done for,' she thought, closing her eyes again. 'I can't swim. I might as well give up...' She felt herself hit the bottom of the river.


"You guys, I'm going to go find Heather. You all just swim to shore!" Matt shouted, diving under the water.

"Wait!" Sora shouted. But it was too late.

"I think there's something he's not telling us," Poo said with a grin.

"What do you mean?" Gomamon asked, walking up on the shore.

"Watch. He won't stop until he finds her," Ness said, getting what Poo said. He leaned back against a tree.

Everyone was upset. "We HAVE to find the others!" Tai kept saying. Meanwhile, they had made it across the bridge.

"I just don't know how I'm going to survive without Palmon..." Mimi said, discouraged.

Jeff got an idea. "Hey! Biyomon, Tentomon, Patamon, you guys can fly, right?" he asked.

"Yeah. What good will that do?" Biyomon asked.

"You guys could fly down by that river, and look for them!" Jeff said.

"That's a great idea!" Tai shouted.

Meanwhile, Gabumon was comforting T.K., who was upset about losing Matt. "Everythings going to be okay. Biymon, Tentamon, and Patamon are going to find them," he said.

"I hope Gatomon's okay," Kari said, sitting down by a tree.

"We all hope they're okay..." Lunamon said, looking into the sky.

Heather felt her body become numb. She slowly opened her eyes, to see something swimming towards her. Feeling woozy, she blacked out.


Matt saw Heather close her eyes. The first thought that ran through his mind was *No.* He began to swim faster, hir hair slowing him down very slightly. After a few seconds, he got to Heather, who had tiny bubbles flowing from her mouth. He carefully wrapped his arm around her waist and began swimming to the surface.


Sora looked around. Matt had been down for a long time. *I hope they're okay...* she thought.

"They still haven't come up yet?" Paula asked.

"No...I'm getting really worried..." Sora said.

"You want I should go after them?" Gomamon asked.

Ness jumped down from the tree he was in. "I see 'em!" He was pointing out to the middle of the river.

Poo shielded his eyes from the sun. "He's right! There they are!" he shouted.

Everyone sighed in relief.


A few minutes later...


"Is she okay?" Paula asked worriedly.

"I dunno. I saw her close her eyes, and I don't think that's good," Matt said, shaking out his hair.

Sora checked Heather's pulse. "Whew...there's just a very faint heartbeat. I think she'll be okay." she said.

"I bet a PSI Healing Omega would wake her up," Ness said.

"Yeah! Good thinking, Ness!" Paula shouted.

"Being that I'm the only one here who HAS PSI Healing Omega, I guess I should do it," Poo said, kneeling down by Heather. "PSI Healing Omega."

Heather groaned a little. She began to cough. Everyone sort of scooted back (with a case of Deja Vu!). She rubbed her forehead. "Ugh...what...what happened?" she whispered.

"Well, first off, we were walking onto a bridge, when Mothramon swooped under and all of us fell off. We all fell into the river. We managed to get to shore okay, but you hadn't come up yet," Paula said, getting a dreamy look in her eyes.

"I remember opening my eyes underwater and seeing..." Her green eyes quickly scanned the group. "...Matt..." Now Heather was the one with the dreamy look in her eyes.
