Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Insight of Love ❯ Slow Burn ( Chapter 5 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
Tyler and Sara represent two of my personalities. While Tyler is the calm, cool, collected person, Sara tends to be the loud, rambunctious, outgoing type. Both Sara and Tyler share a lot of characteristics with each other, which will be evident in future chapters. I’ll be explaining her powers in this chapter as well. Feel fee to use these characters in your stories, but read the profile first before you do so. Otherwise, you might not get a full gist on their appearance and history. As a quick note, Sara’s hair changed from auburn to black as a result of her martial arts training, and her newly found powers, which she is still getting used to. This will be explained in this chapter.

Disclaimer: I don’t own anything. Otherwise, I’d be in the Bahamas right now.

Chapter 5: Slow Burn

It was a bright sunny day on the beach at a small tropical isle. The waves lapped against the shore of white sand, the sun shined brilliantly on the crystal blue water, and the large palm trees swayed gently in the breeze. The two figures, a male with a large bush of brunette hair on his head wearing a pair of goggles with a blue bandana, no shirt, a pair of red shorts, and blue sandals, and a redhead female wearing a skin tight yellow one-piece bathing suit with a red flower print towel wrapped around her waist and green sandals, happily ran along the beach chasing after each other. After a few minutes, the chasing died down and the two walked along, chatting with each other and holding hands. Suddenly the male stopped and pulled the girl close to him in a loving embrace. They stared into each other’s eyes lovingly.
“I love you, Sora Takenouchi,” said the male.
“I love you too, Taichi Kamiya,” the girl known as Sora said back. They moved their faces closer together, their foreheads touching first. They closed their eyes as their lips moved closer, and closer…
“WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKEEEEEE UUUUUUUPPPPPP!!!!!!!”
“AAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!! ”
Sora flashed her eyes open, screaming as someone pounced on her stomach and yelled in her ear.
She looked up to see a very wide grin plastered on a very comical, very animated face that she knew all too well. She struggled to move, but her arms were pinned down by the person’s hands, and their body weight added more to the discomfort of her position.
“Hey hey! Good morning, ‘coz!” said the person still grinning.
“What do you want, Sara?” Sora gritted between her teeth.
“I want you to get up. It’s almost noon, not to mention that it isn’t very healthy to sleep in this late.”
“When did you become the health inspector? And how did you get in my room? I know I locked the door.” Sora glanced towards the door, which was partially open.
“A lock pick, what else?” Sara showed her a paper clip which was slightly unraveled and partially bent along one end. “I’d use a bobby pen, but seeing that I don’t carry them in my hair, and there seem to be lacking some around the house, I had to make do with this.” She tucked the paper clip into the pocket of her pajamas and grabbed Sora under her shoulders. “So, let’s go! Up and at ‘em! It’s a bright, sunny Monday in June with temperatures in the upper 90s and the lower 80s!” She braced her feet on the mattress and hefted Sora up, tossing her over her head as she did a back tumble, jumped up into a back flip, and caught Sora before gravity had a chance to pull her towards her bedroom floor. Sara landed with a disoriented Sora under her right arm.
“Plus you have to take me to meet those estranged friends of yours sometime today…” she paused as she sniffed at Sora. “After you take a bath. You smell like sex.” She dropped Sora to the ground, who landed with a soft thud. “See you in a little bit. I’m going to get ready myself.” Sara left the room, closing the door softly.
“How am I related to her again?” Sora asked herself. Just then her mom poked her head into the room.
“Don’t. Say. Anything,” Sora said, getting up from the ground.
“I’m sorry, Sora,” Sora’s mom said.
“It’s okay,” said Sora. “Could you excuse me while I get dressed please?”
Her mom nodded her head and left the room.
***************************************************************** ****************

Sora emerged out of her room wearing a tight blue shirt with an orange star on the chest, a red short skirt that came down to her knees, and white tennis shoes.
“Hey there, knot head!” said Sara, glancing at Sora from her cross-legged position on the couch. She had a bowl of Coco Puffs in her lap and was watching a cartoon called Naruto. Sara had on a white skin shirt that hugged her neck and showed off her lustrous curves which was covered by a black denim jean vest, and a pair of loose black cargo pants that fell over her black sketcher sneakers. She had pulled her hair back into a tail with a red rubber band, but retained the two hair strands that fell over her eyes.
“A little late to be eating cereal, huh?” said Sora, coming over to sit on the opposite end of the couch.
“You took long enough, so I decided to get something to eat. I believe this is my fourth bowl…” Sara trailed off, looking into the bowl that was now empty of Coco Puffs, but retained the slightly brown milk, which she drank greedily. She looked over at Sora and grinned before getting up from the couch to put the bowl in the sink.
“I thought you were coming here in two weeks,” Sora asked upon Sara’s return, who sat in the armchair. “Why are you here so early?”
“Well, it would have been three weeks, but my parents decided to send me early, saying that it would make the move easier. I’m stating to wonder if they’re plotting against me.”
‘I wouldn’t doubt it,’ Sora thought to herself before continuing. “Why did you change your hair?”
“I didn’t, it changed on its own,” Sara said while tugging at one of the loose strands. “And I heard that little comment you made just now.”
“What comment?”
“About you not doubting it.”
Sora looked at Sara in surprise. “H-how…?”
Sara grinned at her, showing her teeth. “I got powers!” she sang. Sora didn’t know what she meant until Sara opened her eyes, which used to be light brown, but were now a dancing shadowy black.
“I’m not quite sure when or how I got them,” Sara said as she turned her eyes back to brown. “But it might have something to do with my training. When the powers flourished-again, I don’t know when it happened-it changed my hair color to what you see it now.”
“Strange,” Sora whispered.
“What?” asked Sara, sensing confusion in her cousin’s voice.
“You remember Tyler, right?” Sora asked looking up.
“The one you said could turn silver, right?”
“Yeah, him.”
“What about him?”
“Well, when he first got his powers, his hair never changed color, except when he would turn his whole body silver.”
“I see nothing strange about that,” Sara said, shrugging. “How is he by the way? Is he still with that Mimi character?”
“Actually, they broke up.”
“Word?” Sara said, leaning forward. Sora proceeded to tell Sara everything about what happened between them, up to the current events, and how he was doing now. Sara was, to say the least, surprised by the whole ordeal.
“Wow,” she chuckled.
“Yeah,” said Sora.
“Why would anyone break up with someone for a stupid reason such as money?”
“That’s what we said.”
“Well, I think he’ll find someone better in time. What?” Sara noticed Sora grinning lightly at her.
“Oh, no Sora. You’d better not be thinking what I think you are!”
“Come on, Sara! He’s the perfect guy for you.”
“How so?”
“You both have powers-”
“Which are two different colors!”
“You both know martial arts-”
“He has more experience than me!”
“And I’m sure the two of you have other things in common as well.”
“How would you know? Did you set him down for a Q&A session?”
“I’ll leave that up to you,” said Sora grinning.
Sara rolled her eyes. “Oh, that reminds me. That Mimi girl called while you were taking a shower. She said that her and the computer geek wanted to apologize to you for whatever happened at the picnic.”
“I’ll call her back and let her know I accept.”
“Sora, be glad that you told me this stuff now. Because if I knew before she called, she would have had some choice words in her ear.”
“Concerned, are you?” Sora inquired.
“Why not?” Sara said with a huff. “I may not know the guy that well, but I can at least lend my support. Besides, I can’t stand people who do stupid things like that. Did Tyler say anything to her when she announced it being over between them?”
“No,” said Sora. “You have to understand that Tyler is the non-violent sort. He would rather work things out than fight a pointless battle.”
“All that muscle, and he’s actually a giant teddy bear. My guess, the strong, silent type.”
The phone rang next to the chair Sara was sitting on. She reached over and picked it up.
“Yellow,” she answered, getting an odd look from Sora. “Yeah, she’s right here. Hang on.” She handed Sora the phone. “It’s that weak boyfriend of yours,” she mouthed.
Sora snatched the phone from her, giving her a mean look as she put the receiver to her ear. “Hey Tai,” she answered. “Sure. What time? Okay. Everyone’s going to be there? Oh, that was my cousin. Yeah, the one who nearly broke off your hand.” She gave Sara a look, in which Sara shrugged. “Alright, what time are you coming? 1:30? Okay, I’ll--of course she’s coming. I’m not going to leave her by herself! That’s a disaster waiting to happen.” Sara cocked an eyebrow at her. “Anyway, we’ll see you later. I’ll tell you about the dream I had as well when you get here. Alright. Love you too. Bye-bye.” She hung up the phone.
“What’s the scoop?” asked Sara.
“We’re going to the park today at 2:30. He’s coming to pick us up at 1:30.”
“Huh. I ought to put you on your back for calling me a disaster.”
“You’ll be alright,” Sora said, bolting away from Sara before she could grab her.
****************************************************************** ******************
“You guys want me to go everywhere, don’t you?” Tyler said, slightly disgruntled. He was talking to Tai, who was standing outside his door.
“Can you at least open the door so we can talk?” Tai asked, leaning against the door. Tyler opened the door, resulting in Tai falling into the doorway. Tai quickly got up, with Tyler looking at him, his eyebrow twitching.
“So what do you say?” Tai asked, grinning sheepishly.
Tyler closed his eyes and thought for a minute. ‘Well, I resolved to do my best to not be so distant. I know they’re worried about me, but I don’t want them lingering around me every second like I’m a mental case. Might as well just go.’
“Okay,” he said opening his eyes again.
“Great!” Tai exclaimed. “Do you need a ride?”
“I have a car. I’ll meet you there.”
“Okay. And wear something nice for a change.”
Tyler looked at him questioningly, and Tai gestured towards his training gear.
“You’re not going like that, are you?”
“Don’t be stupid,” said Tyler. “I’ll see you there.” He closed the door.
“Uh, yeah. See you,” said Tai as he turned to leave.
“Hey Tai?” said Tyler, poking his head out the door again. Tai turned and looked back.
“…thanks.” Tyler grinned and closed the door again.
Tai smiled and walked off.
****************************************************************** *************
There was quite a crowd at the park when part of the group arrived. A small carnival called a Kaleidoscope was going on, so the gang decided to meet there and have fun. They grouped themselves together at the front of the park, waiting for Tai, Sora, and Tyler.
(A/N: There are two types of kaleidoscopes. One is the kind that you look into and turn a handle on the tube to see the colors moving about, and the other is this, a small carnival with few rides, and lots of displays and concession stands.)
“Where’s Tai?” Yolei asked, slightly annoyed.
“Calm down,” said Ken, trying to comfort her. “He’ll be here.”
Everyone turned around as a black car pulled up to the curb. Tyler stepped out of the car wearing a beige, short sleeve Polo collar shirt tucked into a pair of white creased slacks with cuffs on the hem and a black belt, and brown loafers. He had a pair of small, square lens sunglasses on his eyes, and his hair was pulled back by a black rubber band, with two braids draping over his forehead. He strolled up to the group with his hands tucked into his pockets. Everyone greeted him, glad that he showed up.
“I figured Tai would get here late,” he commented, looking back towards the street.
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say he would be late to his own funeral,” Matt laughed, getting a weary grin out of Tyler. Davis noticed this, and concern crossed his face.
“You okay, Tyler?” he asked.
“Yeah…yeah. I’m okay,” Tyler said, smiling lightly. “I’ve been inside my apartment too long, so I guess I’ve been out of it for the most part.”
“That’s why we always try to get you out every chance we get,” said a voice behind him. Everyone turned to see Tai walking up to them. “Jeez, Tyler. When I asked you to dress nice, I didn’t say get ready for church,” Tai said, looking Tyler over.
“What? This is how I dress.”
“Where’s Sora?” asked Cody.
“She’s walking up now.” Tai turned around to see Sora walking up with a girl that was slightly taller than her with stringy black hair pulled back with two strands in front of her face wearing a black denim jean vest over a white skin shirt, loose black cargo pants, and black sketcher sneakers. The group didn’t recognize her at first because of her hair color, but Tai explained that it was Sara, Sora’s cousin. They reached the group, Sara having Sora in a headlock. She quickly let her go and grinned widely.
“Guys, I’m sure you remember my cousin, Sara,” Sora said, rubbing her neck as Sara thrust out her hand in a peace sign. She stopped when she saw Tyler. The two looked at each other for a few seconds.
“Nice to see you again, lady,” Tyler said with a bow.
“Same to you, sir,” Sara said, bowing in the same manner. Everyone looked at them confusingly. They were all thinking the same thing
‘How does she do that?’ they thought. ‘First she’s all loud and hyperactive, but when she gets around Tyler, she’s real mellow. What’s her deal?’
Sora saw this as an opportunity to get the two alone together. “Uh, Tai?” she asked, turning to him. “Can I talk to you alone for a second?”
“Huh?” Tai was clueless, so Sora gestured to Tyler and Sara, who stared at them questionably.
“Oh, sure,” he said, catching on as he and Sora walked off to a shaded part of the park.
“Hey, Ken. Let’s go look at the art displays,” said Yolei, grabbing Ken by his arm.
“Uh, okay,” Ken said as he was dragged off. Tyler and Sara’s eyebrows furrowed as they watched them go. Be fore they could protest, everyone had went their separate way, leaving the two by themselves.
“What was that all about?” asked Sara.
“Got me,” said Tyler. “But since we’re here, we might as well enjoy ourselves.”
“Yeah, I guess,” Sara said, scratching the back of her head. “So tell me, how’s life treating you?”
*********************************************************** **********************
“Hey, Davis. Look,” Kari said, pointing to Tyler and Sara as they passed by not too far from them.
“Huh?” Davis turned around from the peanut stand, his mouth full of roasted peanuts, and saw them walking together. “Wonder what they’re talking about?” he asked.
“That’s none of your business. And those better not be my peanuts you’re eating.”
“Yours are right here,” he said, handing her a small bag of peanuts. She took them and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
**************************************************************** *****************
“Cody, isn’t that Tyler and Sara over there?” Trinity asked Cody, who was sitting next to her on the merry-go-round bench. Cody looked in the direction she was pointing.
“Yep, that’s them,” he said.
***************************************************************** *****************
“Wow,” said Sara, astonished from everything Tyler told her. “Seems a lot has happened to you. But why the seclusion?”
“Because I didn’t want anyone worrying about me like I had a disease or something,” Tyler said, looking down.
“You of all people should know that it’s not wise to do that. It could kill you.”
“I know. That’s why I appreciate what Tai and the others have done for me to try and cheer me up.”
“Just remember that you have friends to back you up, even if there are some that will turn against you. Trust me, I’ve been through that sort of thing, and believe me, it does more harm than good. You can put on the biggest front in front of your friends, or whom you thought were your friends, since they insult you in more ways then one. I’m sure you understand Tyler,” she looked at him solemnly. “You may know what it’s like to feel left out of things, because you don’t have this or whatever, and have your friends find fault on you for it, to put on a front and smile at them, even when they insult you in front of your face. It hurts even worse when they talk behind your back.”
Tyler looked at her, astonished that a cheerful girl such as her could have gone through something like betrayal. But he understood also, for he went through the same thing at one time. He knew Davis went through it as well, and he was able to see through his mask.
“Words can cut sharper than any sword, and can hit harder than any fist,” he said. She nodded her head in understanding.
“Which is why it’s good that you have such caring friends,” she said sadly. Tyler furrowed his eyebrows.
“Lady, you speak as if you don’t have any friends,” he said.
Sara stopped on the pavement. “I don’t.”
“What makes you think that?”
“No one has ever cared as much for me as they do you.” She turned away from him.
“That’s a lie,” he said in a low, caring voice. “What about Sora? She’s your cousin right?”
“Yeah, but…”
“No buts,” he said, moving in front of her. “She cares for you whether you think so or not. Sure, she may not like you tossing her around, but does she ever complain or get so angry, that she says she doesn’t want to see you again?”
“Well…no.”
“And what about us? We sometimes ask her how you’ve been, wondering when your next visit will be. Plus, I’ve been wondering when we would get a sparring session going.”
Sara lifted her head up, a smile playing on her face. “You name the time and place, and I’ll see you there,” she said with a mischievous glint in her eye.
Tyler smiled. “There you go,” he said. “Come on, I’ll buy you some ice cream.”

Tyler and Sara sat on a swing set, swaying back and forth lightly, with ice cream cones in their hands.
“I didn’t know you like cookies and cream,” Sara said, licking her cone.
“It’s my favorite,” Tyler said.
“Mine too. Thanks for the pep talk by the way.”
“Hey, just remember. If there isn’t anyone out there to care for you, you’ve got a friend in me.”
“What, are you on the cast for Toy Story now?” Sara chuckled at him.
“Yeah. I’m auditioning for the part of Woody.”
“Too late. Tom Hanks already took the part.”
“Oh, man!” Tyler said, snapping his fingers. The two shared a laugh.
“Well, well. Mr. Calm, Cool, and Collected does have humor,” Sara said as their laughter died down.
“Well, it’s a little dark, but humor is humor.” Tyler said. He and Sara finished off their cones in one gulp, both surprised that the other didn’t get a brain freeze, which resulted them laughing again as they finished off the sweet cone. Tyler pointed to the side of his lip, indicating that Sara had a bit of ice cream still on her. Sara wiped it off with her tongue.
“I don’t mean any harm, but how do you feel about Mimi breaking up with you?”
“No harm done. It’s of no concern to me anymore. To tell the truth, that relationship was over when it first started. I knew she didn’t really want anything to do with me. She was just there for the money.”
“How did you two hook up in the first place?”
“Well, we started dating in junior high, about three months after the defeat of Apocalymon. I was, of course, living by myself at the time. Don’t ask how or why. It takes too long to explain. Long story short, my dad was kicked out of Japan because of my evil step mom, and I was never turned in to a foster home because I was in summer camp at the time. Anyway, during the time we were together, I noticed that she was becoming increasingly distant from me, and she would ask for money constantly. In front of everyone, she would put on the biggest front I have ever seen. The others couldn’t see through it though. When she moved to New York, I noticed she was a bit too excited about it. I was a little confused at first, but then she told me why she was going to New York.”
“Because of the high paying job her dad got. Sora told me about that,” Sara said.
“Yeah. Then Izzy moved there with his family, and you know the rest of the story.”
“Of course. He got a good job with computers, of course, and the two met somewhere along the line.”
Tyler nodded his head. “That explains her enthusiasm when she called me, telling me it was over between us.”
“That’s rotten,” Sara said, making a face. “All in all, I believe you’ll find someone that will treat you right.”
“Yeah, I believe so to.”
“What about me? Do you think I’ll find someone?”
“Sure.”
“Really?” Sara’s eyes lit up. Tyler looked at her for a moment.
“Well uh, I don’t know. Seeing that you’re not the most attractive person here and your personality stinks, I wouldn’t understand why ANYONE would want to get with you!” Tyler said in mock insult. Sara stared at him in playful shock, in which they both laughed. “Seriously though, I believe that whoever ends up with you, they’ll be really happy.”
“Why do you think that?” she asked him softly.
Tyler looked her straight in the eyes. “Because you’re beautiful, funny, smart, you have a lot of charisma, and you’re the most attractive lady I’ve ever seen. I mean that.”
“I can definitely say the same for you,” she said. They stared at each other for a few seconds, both nearly falling into the trance that captivated them so many years ago.
“What happened to your hair?” he asked, changing the subject by noticing her hair. “It used to be auburn.”
“I know. It changed by itself,” she said, tugging at one of the loose strands that hung in front of her face. “I’m not sure how, but it happened when I got these powers…” she demonstrated by turning her eyes shadowy black, and back again. Tyler noticed how the shadows played against her pupils. He noticed that he was slightly attracted to it.
“I guess I got it through training,” she finished.
“Actually, you’ve always had them,” Tyler said. “They just took time to flourish.”
“How do you know that?”
“When we first met, I noticed a shadowy blob bouncing around in your eyes,” Tyler explained. “At first I though that it was evil darkness, but I saw the truth as I looked closer, that it was your happiness. That’s why you got the crest of Virtue, and your attribute is darkness.”
“Were your powers naturally given to you as well?” Sara asked him.
“No. I got mine in the digital world. As to why my hair didn’t change color, I don’t know. But with your powers coming to pass, I believe that’s the cause to the change of your hair color.”
Sara thought about it, deciding that it was closer to the truth than anything. Tyler glanced at his watch and saw that it was 4:48. “We’d better go and catch up to the others,” he said, getting up. “This place closes at five, and we shouldn’t be here at night, except when there’s no special event. That’s when there’s an exception.”
***************************************************** ********************************
Tyler and Sara caught up to everyone near the cars, where everyone was preparing to leave. Sora looked at Sara with a small smile on her face. Sara scowled at her, and turned to Tyler.
“Well, I thank you for the conversation, and hope to talk again some day,” she said, bowing to him.
“Likewise,” he said, bowing in the same manner. “By the by, how long are you going to be here?”
“My family and I will be moving here in a couple of weeks,” she said. “They sent me early to make the move easier, so I’ll be staying with Sora until then.”
“Coolness,” Tyler said. Tai honked his horn as Sora called for Sara to hurry up.
“I’m coming!” Sara called to them impatiently. “Well, I’ll see you later.”
“Bye,” said Tyler as Sara ran to the car. Tyler watched them as they drove off, then made his way down to his car.
****************************************************************** *******************
“No. Way.”
Sara opened her eyes for the fifth time that night as she turned onto her stomach. Her body wouldn’t let her go to sleep because it needed some release. Turning on her stomach didn’t do any justice; it just made her body call out even more. She just had a short dream about her and Tyler being alone together on a small deserted island. Before anything happened, she woke up, her body in full heat.
“Forget it,” she said in exasperation as she turned on her back and folded her arms. She tried her best to not think about Tyler, but the more she tried, the more her body craved, and the more images of him popped into her mind; of him taking her in his strong arms and caressing her neck with his sweet lips, and rubbing her back…
Sara found her hand reaching down between her legs, rubbing lightly at her spot over the fabric of her pajamas, making her draw in a sharp breath. She quickly shot up with an exasperated sigh and got out of bed.
“What more do you want?” she asked herself quietly. She made her way to the bathroom, her form mysteriously melting in the shadows so only her pajamas were visible. Her dark powers helped her to see perfectly in the dark, allowing her to side step a table leaning against the wall. She cut on the blue fluorescent light, and looked in the mirror.
“Bloody Mary nothing,” she said with a grin. “Ol’ Bloodymarymon.” She used the restroom, washed her hands, and made her way back to her bedroom.
‘Maybe now I can get some sleep,’ she thought as she closed her eyes. Unfortunately, sleep eluded her once again as her body went in heat, this time so strong that she nearly fell out of bed.
‘I don’t believe this,’ she thought. “Okay,” she said, getting up. “I give up.” She went to the closet and got out a towel and laid it on the bed. She locked the door so no one would try and come in, and stripped off her clothes, leaving her naked as she climbed back onto the bed, making sure she was on the towel, and spread her legs to the sides of the bed.
‘Let’s get this over with,’ she thought as she laid down. Using two fingers, she lightly rubbed around her box, feeling as it swelled up and started getting wet from the sensation. Sara started enjoying it, since she hadn’t masturbated in a long time, and used her other hand to rub her perk breasts. She closed her eyes and moaned as she rubbed both spots harder, bringing up the image of Tyler making her his. She took the two fingers that were rubbing her box and put them in her mouth, pushing them in and out while sucking on them, and bucking her hips as if she was being penetrated, moaning the whole time. She took the two wet fingers and returned them back to her box, this time pushing her middle finger in her opening and started moving it in and out, then she inserted her other finger, and pushed them both in as far as her hymen would allow her (she’s still a virgin, by the by), and gently caressed her insides while using her thumb to rub against her clit. By now she was breathing heavily and rubbing her breast harder, wanting more release. She slid her other hand down to her area, took out her fingers, and began rubbing around her spot while bucking the whole time, going faster and faster, while making swirls with her hips. She opened her box with one hand, and pushed her fingers back into her opening, moving them in and out rapidly, while still swirling her hips. With one last push, she hit her climax, her orgasm spreading on the towel. She reduced her scream to a voiceless moan as she let her orgasm go its course.
‘I’ll have to beat myself up later for that,’ she thought to herself as she cleaned up the area and put her pajamas back on. ‘Though it has been a while since I did that, particularly since there wasn’t anyone to spark my body in such a way.’ She stopped for a moment as she climbed back into bed. ‘What am I saying? We’re just friends! How am I to know if he feels the same way?’ Sora’s words from earlier that day popped into her mind. ‘Stupid Sora,’ she thought, as sleep finally claimed her.

Well, they finally meet and things will be getting a little more crazy from here. Stay tuned to see what will happen in the future chapters.
