Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Insulations ❯ Insulations ( One-Shot )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Disclaimer: Digimon doesn't belong to me.
Pairs: Kensuke/Daiken with slight Yamachi/Taito. OR IS IT?!
Warnings: OOC, crack, and SO much more.
Dedication: To all the people who are waiting for the next chapter of Snapshot. Sorry about my WB!
This is a very short one-shot that I wanted to do to gift token to makeup for my Writer's Block on Snapshot. I'm sorry it's so short, but I hope you guys like it and that you can wait just a little longer `til my Writer's Block has finished.
Insulations
Ishida Yamato wasn't known for his stupidity. On the contrary, he was usually the calm and cool one of the group, where common sense rang free. He might not have had Koushiro's ingenious and a use for little-too-long words, nor for Sora's or Hikari's sensitive maturity over the group, but he had a more than sufficient amount of common sense.
Which was exactly why Yagami Taichi was currently staring at said blonde Chosen with a befuddled -no, wait- dumbfounded look on his face, his jaw dropped three quarters off his normal size and eyes the size of golf balls.
“P-Pardon?” squeaked said brunet.
Yamato rolled his eyes impatiently. “You heard me.”
“Um, no I did not. Not if you were actually suggesting that,” Taichi choked. “That you could actually think Daisuke and Ken were that way!” This was not what the brunet had thought his friend would want to discuss with him in the diner. Not at all.
“We haven't known them that long Taichi,” insisted Yamato. “You don't mean to say that you haven't even wondered? It's entirely possible!”
“It is not!” retaliated Taichi. “And we've known the two for years! I can't even think about them that way! I mean, that would be like saying we were…” He trailed off, unable to finish the sentence.
Blue eyes widened, as Yamato was able to understand exactly what the brunet meant. “No way! How could anyone even think about us being into that stuff?!”
“Then how could you think of my protégé and Ken being into that stuff?” Taichi replied, crossing his arms and sticking his tongue out in a childish manner.
“It's not like its wrong you know,” Yamato said placidly.
“Of course it's not!” Taichi replied, finally agreeing on something. “But this is Ken and Daisuke! They're one of the last people I'd even suspect of being that way!”
Yamato raised an eyebrow. “Next to us?”
“Next to us,” confirmed Taichi. There was no way that he was going to even think about him and Yamato that way. No. Way. And Daisuke and Ken? Double no way.
“Still though, there is the tiniest of possibilities-”
“There is no possibility. Sure, Daisuke has had past… experiences, but they were all pure explorations of his feelings, and I'm positive that Ken is no different. I mean, it-it's Ken and Daisuke! Of all people, I can't believe you'd think that about them-”
Sighing with defeat, Yamato leaned back into the restaurant chair as he watched the brunet go into a long rant. “Well, forget it then,” He said in an attempt to placate Taichi (and to stop the ranting). “I'm probably wrong.”
“Of course you were!” Taichi exclaimed. “In fact, here comes Ken and Daisuke! You can just ask them yourselves. Hey guys!” He called out to the redhead and bluenette who were walking through the doorway.
Daisuke's face brightened up, and he grabbed a hold of Ken's hand and began dragging him towards the table that Taichi and Yamato were sitting at. Squishing themselves into the booth, Ken and Daisuke turned questioning looks at the smug looking brunet and the exasperated looking blonde.
“Hello Taichi and Yamato. Is there any particular reason you guys have called us here?” inquired Ken, who arched his eyebrow in curiosity.
“Er…well,” Yamato squirmed in his seat slightly, a slightly nervous look on his face. “We wanted to know something about the character of your…relationship,” He said lamely.
Daisuke blinked. “What about our…relationship?”
“Well, you see, I think that there is a slight possibility that you guys might be…” Yamato whispered the last word in a very quiet sort of voice.
Ken tilted his ear in the blonde's direction. “I'm sorry, I didn't catch that,” Taking in the embarrassed look on Yamato's face, the satisfied one on Taichi's, and the clueless one on Daisuke's, he had a feeling this might have been something important. “Why don't you just whisper it in my ear if you aren't comfortable with sharing with everyone else Yamato?” suggested Ken.
Nodding, Yamato seemed to actually listen to the genius's idea, so he leaned across the table and, cupping his hands against Ken's ear, and whispered the end of his sentence while Daisuke and Taichi exchanged clueless looks.
Ken however, jerked away from the blonde as if burned and stared at him with bug eyes.
“P-Pardon?” His voice came out like a squeak.
“You heard me,” Yamato replied, his voice back to his cool and blithe tone.
Ken continued to gape. “I-he-you-fish.”
“…Eh?”
“Nothing Daisuke, Taichi,” reassured Ken, who quickly turned back to Yamato with a bewildered look. “Yamato, why would you even think that? I and Daisuke both know perfectly well that we aren't that way.”
“What way?” asked a clueless Daisuke.
“You know… that way.”
And Daisuke gasped. “What would make you guys think we were actually that way? Me and Ken are a hundred percent sure of our sexuality. Right?” He turned to the bluenette with an uncertain look.
Ken returned the look. “Of course we are,” murmured the boy, who quickly reached over and scooped over to give the redhead a hug, something that was quickly reciprocated. Exchanging loving and longing looks, the two proceeded to get reacquainted with the other's mouths (and tongues).
Meanwhile, Yamato sighed as he watched the public make-out that was happening. “Well, I guess I was wrong.” It wasn't often that the blonde was wrong, so this obviously made him just slightly upset - something he described in the all wonderful pout.
Taichi patted his boyfriend on arm and gave him a smile. “It's not that hard to believe. Really, even though Daisuke and Ken have been going out since like ever, there has always been the Hikari issue.”
“Yeah, but now Daisuke's like her little brother, since God knows Hikari's more mature. Their relations couldn't be more platonic now. Not to mention that Miyako's crush on Ken has totally faded,” muttered the blonde.
“Well yeah, but Ken has always seemed like the sort of guy to like women. He's even kind of female looking himself,” Taichi observed as the bluenette continued to make-out with his boyfriend.
Yamato gave the brunet the Look. “Well, that kind of seals the deal doesn't it?” replied the blonde with a slightly frosty tone.
Taichi blinked, and then scratched his head sheepishly. “Yeah, I guess it does,” He admitted. “I still have no idea where you get all these ideas Yamato. I mean, to actually think that Ken and Daisuke were straight!” The brunette chuckled.
“Hmph,” Yamato rolled his eyes and chuckled along with Taichi. “I guess it was kind of stupid, wasn't it?”
“Yep. So…you gonna pay me now?”
“…Taichi there was no bet in the first place.”
“Oh. Darn.”
So, it was not often that Ishida Yamato could act stupid, or act stupid, or maybe even ask stupid questions. But whenever the blonde did seem to be lacking intelligence, he could truly express it in the most stupidest of ways. Especially with ideas like those.
End
Egh, this idea isn't even original since I've seen a Get Backers fic just like this one. Oh well, I hope you guys still like it! This is for all the people who are waiting for the next chapter of Snapshot, and once again, sorry for being so late with it. It's just that my stupid Writer's Block WON'T go away.
Anyways, I hope I haven't offended anyone with the idea of the fic. I support Daisuke and Ken in both hetero and shounen ai pairs, but I just thought it seemed like a cool idea to use.
