Kari's head turned in every direction. Her eyes searched for her friends in the large crowd. Kari was in her school's auditorium. The school was having their annual Talent Show and the principle asked Kari to take some photos for the yearbook.

 

"Do you see them, Gatomon?"

 

Gatomon's head popped out from Kari's bag and surveys the room.

 

"There! They're over there, Kari!"

 

Kari looks over to where the cat was pointing to see Yolei waving her a hand in the air while, Davis, Ken, Cody and the digimon are stuffing their faces with food.

 

"Hey Kari!"

"Hey Yolei!"

"Did you take any pictures?"

"Yup! I already took pictures of those that already went up!"

"Really! Let me see!"

 

Kari hands her the camera and walks over to the buffet table.

 

"Hey guys!"

"Hey Kari!" they all greeted

"Hey DemiVeemon! That was mine!"

"No it wasn't!"

"Yeah it was!"

 

Onlookers couldn't help but laugh. Kari soon noticed someone was missing.

 

"Hey Patamon, where's Tk?"

"Oh, he's around"

"Huh?"

 

Patamon and Gatomon giggled. They knew what Tk was planning.

 

"Don't worry about it Kari" Yolei said

"Um...ok" Kari replied hesitantly

 

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Please return to your seats as the last performance of our annual Talent Show will begin shortly!"

"Wonder who's next"

"Kari you're a smart girl but you can be so dumb sometimes!"

"What's that supposed to mean, Yolei?"

 

Before Yolei had the chance to reply the lights grew dim, signaling the next act was beginning.

Kari gasped as she heard the person on stage singing

"T...k"

 

Are you really alone

Why can't I bring you into my life

 

Kari swore she thought Tk was staring at her. 'He's probably just staring at everyone!"

 

What would it take to make you see that I'm alive

 

'I wonder who... who are you singing this for Tk?' Kari thought as all the girls in the room excluding Yolei and her were yelling and screaming once he started the chorus.

'If my heart couldn't break I wouldn't be afraid to tell you how I feel' Tk smiled, "Instead I'd be afraid to loose the friendship we have'

 

I would be the smartest man

Tk stared directly at Kari

 

I already am

 

'Tk...you're not invisible... not to me because you're everywhere'

 

Saw your face in the crowd

I call out your name

You don't hear a sound

 

'It hurts me so much to know that I can see you but you can't see me'

 

I keep tracing your steps

Each move that you make

Wish I could read what goes through your mind

Wish you could touch me with the colors of your life

Then I could just watch you in your room

'I really wanna know who he's singing to!' Kari yelled out in her mind.

'He's singing about you!' Yolei and Gatomon shouted in their heads reading Kari's facial expression

Kari sighed out loud and ran off.

 

"Kari!"

"Where are you going?"

 

From on stage Tk also noticed Kari heading towards the backstage crew but continued singing.

Tk walked of to the back of the stage after giving a bow.

 

"Tk..."

"Kari!"

 

There in front of Tk was her.

 

"So... who's the lucky girl?"

"Someone I love"

"I know that! I mean what's her name"

"Why do you wanna know?"

"...."

"Kari? Hey, what's wro-"

 

Tk was cut off in mid-sentence since Kari buried her face into his chest and threw her arms around his neck. He was caught off guard by the sudden action

 

"Kari?"

"Just... just tell me"

"Does this answer your question?"

 

Tk leaned in and gave her a kiss on the lips.
