1 Living as Reiya Yagumi-Ishida

Disclaimer: I don’t own Digimon. This is from the POV of Reiya. Reiya is my original character; you must ask to use her. The Crest of Tolerance and the Dark Crest of Prejudice are also mine. Many Yamachi references. Teeny bit of Takari and Soushiro.

They let me call them Tai (short for Taichi) and Yamato. They say that since they aren’t biologically related to me, there was no need to be called by any special title. Besides, it’d be confusing to call both of them Dad.

My name is Reiya Danielle Yagumi-Ishida. My parents are Yamato Ishida and Taichi Yagumi-Ishida. My family’s different from other families. For one thing, I’m adopted; I have no interest in finding my real parents. For the other, both my parents are male.

Being raised by a homosexual couple is not that much different than being raised by a heterosexual couple. Tai and Yamato make sure that I’m fed, clothed, and educated. They love and care for me very much. And if I have a “womanly†problem that they can’t answer, I can go to my aunt Hikari Takashi or my neighbor Sora Izumi. Yamato and Tai come to any school function that I’m involved in: banquets, musicals, etc.

Outside school, Yamato and Tai teach me what they know. I am learning how to play soccer. I’m not very good so far, but Tai is patient with me. I find I am much better at writing and playing music, Yamato’s cup of tea. They tell stories of their adventures of their childhood with Agumon and Gabumon.

I even have a Digimon of my own. My partner is related to Agumon, second cousin, I think. His name’s ToyAgumon. I have the original Digivice, not the D-3 that Aunt Hikari and Uncle Takeru have. I also have a crest, the crest of Tolerance. The reason is because many people give way to it’s opposite, the dark crest of Prejudice.

Life for me is relatively normal. Well, as normal as you can get for a Digidestined.
