"So who was that guy anyway?" Takato asked Renamon. It had been nearly two weeks since the incident with Gavin, and Renamon had only appeared to fight and train with Rika. Although her digimon was upset, Rika could hardly be considered that. She and Takato had gotten together. For Renamon a funny scene kept replaying in her head. On Sunday, Takato had asked Rika to pose nude for a portrait. At first she was outraged. But then he started to nibble on her earlobe and gently kiss her neck. That seemed to do the trick, as she instantly agreed, every shred of her loner-self was gone with the wind. The final product, however, was absolutely gorgeous. Rika's mother had paid $100, and Rika's grandmother had paid another $100 for it. But unfortunately for Renamon, her lover was on her mind. "His name is... or was Gavin. Before I met Rika, I lived in the Digital World. I had the shape of a human girl. In fact I molded my ultimate form after my "human" body. Anyways, my name was Sakuya, and I was heir to the throne of the Digital World. I was your typical tomboy, and I wanted nothing to do with the throne. I was 11 human years, and I ran away to the country. I met a farmer family and they took me in despite being royalty. Their son Gavin fell in love with me. We started dating, and I eventually returned his affection. I even had his baby, but she died shortly after birth. Then an ancient prophecy said I was to leave the Digital World to become Rika's partner. Gavin went berserk, and started looking for me. But he couldn't because he was searching for Sakuyamon, and I was training as Renamon. Obviously he planned his attack, but how he separated me from Rika even I don't know." It was then that Renamon burst into tears, as if a dam had burst in her head. "I'm sorry Rika, I know you taught me to be strong, but it hurts so much." Rika went over to soothe her partner. ""Don't worry Renamon, it's OK to cry" Rika said as she tried to comfort her best friend. It was then that Takato decided to speak up. "I might not know anything about romance, but I do know that you can't let your world end over one person." Rika chuckled. "Ya know Gogglehead's got a point." "Damn, romance talk from Takato, the world must be ending." The three friend burst into laughter. But far away someone was watching them.

***In the Digital World***

"Poor Sakuya. She forgot the prophecy says I cannot be destroyed. Rika and Takato will be destroyed at the hands of Gavin! Nothing will stop me! And Sakuya will come back to me. It will be too easy! Right Hope?" A pale looking girl emerged from the shadows. "Yes father" the girl replied. Then the man started to chant in a sing song voice.

"A man and a woman
Bound by love
The two unholy humans
Will fight for possession
Of true loves light
And when the darkness of love is revealed
loves light will conquer all
The evil within cannot be destroyed
Evil will corrupt the carrier until true love is found
One of the unholy beings will sacrifice themselves
or else evil will reign"

***In the Real World***

"Those were the days" Renamon sighed as she pulled a picture out of nowhere. In the picture there were two humans and a baby. "Renamon are you OK?" Rika asked, an arm around the shoulders of Takato, a look of concern on her face. "This is a picture of my child, Hope. I was devastated. I nearly killed myself. ." Audible gasps were heard from the rooms occupants. "But the damned prophecy meant I was immortal. I couldn't die. I had to live with the pain I had created. It was hell. To watch your child die, and then to not be able to die yourself." Rika decided this would be a good time to intervene. "Renamon, you have to stop living in the past. What's done is done, and you can't change that. Just remember that Takato and I will always be here for you no matter what." With that Takato and Rika left the room, leaving Renamon to her thoughts.

***In Rika's Room***

Rika looked depressed as she sunk down into her mattress, followed by Takato. She rolled onto her stomach, and Takato started to give her a back massage. "My god Rika, you're so tense!" Rika let a slight moan of pleasure as she rolled back onto her backside and looked deep into her boyfriend's eyes. "My god, Takato, where did you learn to give such great back massages?" Takato chuckled and replied. "When you live with the Ice Queen, you learn a few things. I know your worried about Renamon. How about I treat you to dinner at Gino's. We'll eat, come back, and then maybe take our relationship one step further." Takato was all smiles as those last word left his lips. Takato was known for being just a little timid, but it didn't matter as he was with the one girl he truly loved. Rika's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. "I have to pick some stuff up at home. I'll pick you up in an hour" With that Takato got up and left, leaving a stunned Rika laying there on her bed.

*** Takato's House***
Takato sighed as he pulled out his keychain, and unlocked a drawer on his beureau. "Well Guilmon, tonight is the night" he said adressing his digimon partner. He grabbed something from the drawer, and left without locking the drawer.
