(No one's POV :P)

Taichi looked at Yamato.

"Yamato...what are you talking about? You know we wouldn't desert you! We're you're friends!"

"No. Don't you remember what you said to me?" He repeated.

"No. It's too far back for me."

"Well, I remember. You told me I was just a pathetic loser, who -"

"Yamato!" Taichi said, suddenly remembering.

"Who didn't have any friends." He finished.

"Yamato, we were fighting! I was just blowing off steam! I didn't mean it..."

"You did. Because, if you didn't, you would have looked for me. But you didn't. So I know now that you were right. You were always right..."

"...Fine, then. Believe that if you want to. But you're wrong. Now, on a happier note, there's a few people here that wanna see you." He said, moving to the side.

Yamato saw more of the faces. But his meeting Taichi had brought back names for them.

"Takenouchi Sora? Is that really you?"
"Sure is! How are you feeling?"
"A little better." He said, his stomach growling again.

"Here." Miyako said, handing him an egg-salad sandwich.

"Egg salad... My favorite!" He said joyfully, taking large bites.

"I'm glad you like it."
Yamato nodded happily. "So, Sora, how have you been?"
"Well, pretty good, I suppose. I missed you..."

"I missed you too..." He said sadly.

Sora smiled. "You have more visitors."

A tall thin girl with pink hair dotted with stars walked up.

"Ah...pink... Tachikawa Mimi, that's still your favorite color?"

"You better believe it! When I heard the others thought they found you, I hopped the first plane to Odaiba!"
"You moved."

"To New York City. It's really nice there, but Japan is the best place to live." She said. Suddenly, her eyes filled up with tears.

"I missed you so much!" She sobbed, wrapping him in a tight bear hug.

"Ack! I missed you ...to!" He gasped.

"Mimi, you'd better give him some air." A voice said.

"Oops! Sorry, Yamato!"

"Izumi Koushiro?"

"Yeah."

"Hey, you finally got taller!" He said.

"Uh...yeah..." He said.

"Are you still lugging around that computer?"

"Nah, I've upgraded to a better model. Unfortunately, it's not portable."
Yamato nodded. 'Well, I guess some things never change.' He thought.

"Hey, Yamato. Remember me?"
"Kido Jyou! Of course I do! Are you still trying to become a doctor?"
"Yeah. And you're going to have to have a full checkup."

"Not to mention a bath! Peeyou!" Another voice said. "Hey, you...uh...probably won't recognize me. I grew a bit."

"Takeru?" Yamato said in astonishment.

'Grew a bit' was the understatement of the century. Takeru, now twelve years old, was slightly taller than Yamato.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine. A little shocked, but yeah, I'm fine." He said.

"That's good. Hikari couldn't make it here, but believe me, she wanted to. She came down with the flu."

"Ah...Hmm... That's weird. I haven't been sick once that whole time." Yamato said thoughtfully.

"Weird." Takeru said.

"Hey, Yamato." A voice said.

"Gabumon!"

"Yes. How are you?"

"I'm fine, I'm fine." Yamato said.

"Good. Now, the big question is... Are you ready to go home?"

"Home...?" Yamato asked.

"Yes. Back to the Real World."
Yamato nodded. "Yes."

"Well, then, let's go!" Daisuke said.

(Recent past)
(Ken's POV)

"Go, my Kimeramons, and destroy!" I said.

Twelve Kimeramons attacked the nine DigiDestined's Digimon.

"Agumon, Warp Digivolve to...WarGreymon!"

"Eh!" I grunted. They had knocked down my Control Spires, enabling them to Digivolve.

"Gomamon, Digivolve to..."

"Biyomon, Digivolve to..."
"Tentomon, Digivolve to..."
"Ikkakumon, Digivolve to..."

"Birdramon, Digivolve to..."

"Kabuterimon, Digivolve to..."

"Zudomon!"
"Garudamon!"
"MegaKabuterimon!"

"Yeah!" Daisuke yelled. "Now let's Armor Digivolve!"
"Right!" Hikari agreed.

"DigiArmor, Energize!"
"DigiArmor, Energize!"

"DigiArmor, Energize!"
"DigiArmor, Energize!"

"GoldenArmor, Energize!"

"Patamon, Armor Digivolve to..."

"Gatomon, Armor Digivolve to..."
"Hawkmon, Armor Digivolve to..."

"Armadillomon, Armor Digivolve to..."

"Veemon, Golden Armor Digivolve to..."

"Pegasusmon, Flying Hope!"

"Nefertimon, the Angel of Light!"
"Halsemon, the Wings of Love!"
"Digimon, the Drill of Knowledge!"
"Magnamon!"

"Yeah! Let's go!" Miyako shouted.

I didn't like the looks of this. I could only hope that my twelve Kimeramons would hold out... But it didn't look good. There was one Mega level Digimon, three Ultimate level Digimon, four if you count Magnamon, and four Digimon with the power of Champion level Digimon.

'I am not going to lose to them...' I thought bitterly.

"Poison Wing!" The twelve Kimeramon attacked.

"Terra Force!" WarGreymon.

"Vulcan's Hammer!" Zudomon.

"Phoenix Claw!" Garudamon.

"Horn Buster!" MegaKabuterimon.

"Golden Noose!" Pegasusmon and Nefertimon.

"Tempest Wing!" Halsemon.

"Rock Crackin'!" Digmon.

"Magna Laser!" The own I hadn't seen before, Magnamon, attacked.

I watched in horror as all but one of my Kimeramons were deleated.

"NO! This is NOT going to end like this!" I screamed in frustration.

"Ken, why don't you just listen to them?" I kicked the worm Digimon aside.

"How many times must I tell you? I am the Digimon Kaizer! And you are not to call me by any other name!"
"But..."
"Quiet!"

"Give it up, Ken! You can't win!" Daisuke called from below.

I looked at the battle below. My strongest and wildest of the Kimeramon was fighting, and losing. I ran from my sopt in the base, looking for a quick exit as Kimeramon attacked, Wormmon close behind me.

"Stop right there!" Takeru yelled.

I looked at them. Taichi, on WarGreymon's shoulder, Jyou, on Zudomon's shoulder, and Sora, on Garudamon's back, as they came in for a landing, along with Koushiro and MegaKabuterimon. Hikari and Takeru wer riding Nefertimon and Pegasusmon, like Miyako was with Halsemon. Iori and Daisuke stood behind Digmon and Magnamon.

"There's nowhere left for you to go, so just give up!" Taichi yelled.

"Never! Have you forgotten that looming right behind you is a vicious Kimeramon, ready to attack you when I give the signal?"

They looked. "Attack!" I cried out.

Screams were heard, as well as attacks.

"Terra Force!"
"Magna Laser!"
"Vulcan's Hammer!"
"Gold Rush!"
"Wing Blade!"
"Horn Buster!"
"Rosetta Stone!"
"Star Shower!"

"Tempest Wing!"

"Heat Viper!" My Kimeramon attacked. I watched happily as all of the Digimon returned to their In-Training forms, exhausted. All except --

"Magnamon! It's up to you now!"
"Right! Magna Laser!"

Kimeramon withstood the attack. The battle between the two continued.

"Manga ...ah!"
"Heh heh heh. Look at you! You can't even attack anymore! You will fai-ah!" I cried out as I was pushed down by...Wormmon?
~*~*~*~
Wormmon was gone. I realized I was wrong. "No..." I whispered softly.

The 'Digimon Kaizer' clothes I wore were gone, replaced by my normal ones. Fog filled my mind, and I knew nothing of what really happened. What I remembered was Wormmon giving his data to Magnamon, allowing Kimeramon to be destroyed by a powerful 'Magna Blast'.

And then, after I realized what I'd done, and found Wormmon, it was too late. He disappeared in my hands.

The only thing I had left of that day was a few memories, and a Crest. Kindness. It's laughable, really. The cruel Digimon Kaizer receiving the Crest of Kindness.

"So what have you got to say for yourself?" Miyako asked, enraged.

"I listened to them. They said I didn't deserve such a kind and caring partner as Wormmon. I listened to them all, and silently agreed with them. I turned and walked away, the Crest in my pocket, stumbling over the rocks in the desert.

"Hey! Where are you going?!" Daisuke yelled to me.

'I don't know, Daisuke. So I'm not sure I can tell you. I don't remember anything, anymore. So I'm just going to walk. Maybe I'll find my way home. Wherever that may be.' I thought. As I left them, I heard Takeru.

"Leave him alone. I think he finally understands."
"Er... Fine!" Daisuke growled.

~*~*~*~

"My name is Leafmon! The baby form of Wormmon. I missed you!"
"It's good to see you again, Leafmon."

~*~*~*~
"Good now that the Control Spire is down, the others can Digivolve again!"

"Exactly, Stingmon."
"Yah!!!" A voice rang out.

"That sounded like Iori."
"Let's go!"
~*~*~*~

"Hey! Why don't you join us?" Daisuke asked.

"...I don't know..."

"Well, think about it, okay?"
~*~*~*~
"There's something I think you should know..."
"What's wrong, Ken?" Takeru asked.

"In a remote area of the Digital World, there is some sort of recently abandoned prison of some sort. There's ...something ...not made of data there. ...I think it may be... Yamato..."
Takeru's eyes widened. "Are you sure?"
"No, not really. All I know is that the prison was abandoned quite recently. There is a good chance that if he was there, he's... Still there now..."
Takeru nodded. "Let's go."
~*~*~*~

"Ew! It's so... DUSTY!!" Mimi exclaimed.

"No kidding." Sora agreed.

It was an old, weathered building.

Taichi shoved open the door, and walked around as we waited.

"It's empty, but I haven't checked the lower chambers."
"Well, let's check them!" Takeru yelled.

Takeru's brother, Yamato, had been missing for five years, and he wanted to find him.

"Right. If I find him, well, he'll probably need help walking. Jyou, will you help?" Taichi asked.

Jyou nodded. "We'll be up soon." He said to us.

I felt so much guilt. As the Digimon Kaizer, I had known about this place. But I just thought of it as a place to conquer. So I had no way of knowing if Yamato was okay... I just hoped that the others wouldn't blame me if he wasn't.

~*~*~*~

(Taichi's POV)

Jyou and I walked down the stairs.

"Hey, my Digivice is going off. Then maybe ...do you think he's alive?" Jyou asked.

"I hope so... I hope so..."
We walked around, trying to pinpoint the signal on our Digivices.

"It's over here." Jyou said. "By this ...rusty set of keys..."
"They might be useful. Let's take them." I said, grabbing them.

"Be careful of the rust!"

"All right, all r- hey! Look! It's... someone. The signal is right there...So..."

"Yeah." Jyou said.

I walked over to a nearby cell, and saw a figure. I unlocked and opened the door. Then, I heard a voice that I hadn't heard in five years...

Ishida Yamato's voice...

~*~*~*~

Like I said, short chapters. The next chapter....

We see (somewhat) a little bit more on FuegoDiaboromon and his Master. What, you thought they wouldn't come back in the story? P-shaw! If that's what you thought... Then this story would not fill the Action/Adventure part of the Drama/Action/Adventure category!!! ^_~ ...

Yamato returns to the Real World...

And sees his dad...

Evil Digimon ...come to the Real World...

FuegoDiaboromon ...has made a kidnap... ...deja vu...?

Aaaand... Takeru has a flashback! ^_~ (lol)

Okay, if the end of the story comes out late, it's because I'm writing the story in a notebook for a school project. (40 + pages in your notebook, for a grade...) So, I'm writing it there first, kays? ^_^!

Oh, and on a side note, I'm not sure how Taichi and Jyou were able to see in the prison rooms while Yamato couldn't. Night vision goggles maybe? ^_^

Please R&R! But no flames, though... Aw, okay. Go ahead and flame me, I'll need em to help make the bonfire with Agumon, Phoenixmon, Guilmon,Zhuqiaomon, and Impmon. ^_~
