Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Lost ❯ Opening Notes ( One-Shot )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
I want to get down to the nuts and bolts of this, so here's the disclaimer.
Disclaimer: I do not own Digimon. I have a vague idea of who owns it, but I cannot begin to spell his name, so I won't try. The concept of this particular story is mine, but not in a legally binding way.

A huge THANK YOU SHOUT goes to:
Black, Regless, Daneel Rush and Firehedgehog, whose stories gave me enough inspiration to write my own Tamers fic.
SerpentTreize for the name of ChaosGallantmon's shield, Gorgon, his lance, still Gram and Chaos mode.
Author's Notes:
This fic will make Takato seem rather overpowering. So be it. Takato's cool, and the only person who should be able to beat him is Rika. If it's you against the world (or even just the D-reaper), bet on the world. Unless you have a serious edge to even it out. Most of Takato's edge comes from his new digivice, the C-ark.
C-ark: I always assumed that the 'D' in D-ark meant digital, or something to that effect. The 'C' in C-ark means catalyst. Don't ask why, It'll be covered in the fic. The C-ark, at first glance, appears to be nothing more than a black, fingerless glove (C-arks for the other tamers will have different main colors) with Calumon's (how do you spell that anyways? I've seen about three different ones) symbol on both sides. The four-triangle design is situate so that one edge (the point of the inner triangle plus the sides of the two smaller ones) rests along the edge of the hand where the pinky is. When activated as a digivice, the design on top becomes a solid, half-inch high protrusion. The edge near the pinky is where the cards are scanned, the center triangle is the screen, and the bottom triangle has the buttons. The four-triangle design on the bottom is where the catalyst's power comes out, so to digivolve, you scan the digivolution card, then point your palm at your digimon, poof, digivolution activates. This brings up the new digivolution the C-ark enables.
Flash Evolution: The C-ark holds the code for the catalyst's power, the Crystal Matrix, the light of digivolution. As such, the Tamer can enable his digimon to digivolve from any level to any level. So, babies can digivolve to ultimate in one move. Or vice versa. (Biomerging can occur at any level, but this is not specific to the C-ark. Ex. Taomon can biomerge to Sakuyamon without dedigivolving to Renamon first. - Neverwhere) That reminds me. Guilmon will be spending most of his time in his dark digivolution line, so I'd better go over the forms. I'm not sure what the real attacks are for these forms, and I'm pretty sure the first three don't exist.
Black-Jyarimon:
Level: Fresh/Baby
Black-Jyarimon is a black ball with red eyes and Guilmon's ears. He's about the size of a tennis ball.
Black-Gigimon:
Level: In Training
Think of a small Patamon, with black where Patamon is brown, and has Guilmon's ears. Also has Guilmon's dino-tail, scaled to fit with red marks under his golden eyes.
Black-Guilmon:
Level: Rookie
Guilmon, but the black and red colors are switched (same with pretty much all the forms up to ultimate).
Black-Growlmon:
Level: Champion
Again, Growlmon, but with the black and red switched.
Black-WarGrowlmon:
Level: Ultimate
Again, WarGrowlmon with the switched red and black. The armor he bears is tarnished, making it darker, almost black around the blades.
ChaosGallantmon:
Level: Mega
I think we all know what this one looks like; Gallantmon with black armor and blue highlights. I think this is perhaps one of the most misunderstood digimon of all time. Most authors make him a representation of Takato's dark, evil, angry side. That's not bad, makes for a good plot, but I believe that's Megidramon's job. ChaosGallantmon will be portrayed as a not quite so goody-goody Gallantmon.
Green Cards: I can hear the jokes about American immigration now. Green cards are a C-ark only card. There are two types of Green cards, master and slave. If you leave a slave green card somewhere (preferably hidden so no one steals it), and use the master on the C-ark, it enables instant teleportation to the slave card(s) (The slave cards have no effect when scanned) through a 3-d map. If the master is used inside a digital field, it has the option of establishing a digital gate.
That brings up my last point for now. I don't know if the Tamers will return to digital world. I know how I want this story to start, not how I want it to end. So as far as the digital gates and the other Tamers receiving C-arks, we'll see how things work out. Because I don't know how I want this story to end, any help will be appreciated. Except on couples. I already know what couples I'm going to use. Rukato forever.
It' time for school, my hands are tired, and my stomach tells me that I haven't eaten breakfast this morning. That means that the author's notes are done. For now.
