Author's Note: I would like to get some idea of what others think of my writing so... forman_adam@hotmail.com. I would like to point out that if you see * it means that the person is on a phone but not in the room or a sound effect that I don't really know how to write. Also if you see anything in <> then it is a thought and not speech. Finally when you see ----- it's a change in scene and usually a span of time. Anyway here is the story.

In a dark cave in another dimension dimly lit by the blue crystals that line it's walls a small group of children lay undisturbed in a pile on the ground unaware that they are being watched. Slowly one of the children at the bottom of the pile begins to stir and regain his consciousness.

"Uh man what a trip." Davis said feeling the after effects of the vortex. "Hey guys c'mon get off of me!"

Davis' sudden plea combined with his movements woke each member from their slumber.

"Ten more minutes mom." Yolei said as she stirred.

"Yolei I'm not a pillow!" Hawkmon screamed.

"Ahem!" Link said having everyone look directly ahead. "Do you always land on top of each other?"

"Well It's kinda become a custom for us." TK said straightening his hat.

"Davis the next time you decide to jump head first into another passage like that remind me to smack you." Kari said straightening her back.

"…Uh ok." Davis said finally standing up last.

"I feel like a piece of taffy." Cody said stretching his arms.

"I know how you feel." Veemon said shaking his head. "I feel like I got stuck in the dryer at Davis' home with a pair of his favorite sneakers."

"…If you are all done! We've wasted enough time here, we should start moving." Link said his frustration apparent.

Slowly the entire group began moving towards the exit each person admiring the gems that seemed to be embedded into the walls of the cave.

"These gems are beautiful." Yolei said reaching for one.

"Don't touch those!" Link said turning around quickly. "If you do there is no telling what will happen."

"What do you mean?" Hawkmon asked.

"Those gems are a source of energy, but the ones in this cave are in it's raw state, so they're very unstable." Link explained giving Yolei a deathly stare.

Yolei quickly withdrew her hand and walked even closer to Ken.

"Any other seeming harmless things around here that could kill us?" Davis asked sensing everyone's concerns.

Link stopped at the sudden question. "Just don't do anything without asking me first."

Exiting the cave the DigiDestined were shocked at the appearance of this world. The earth was gray as if it were ash and not soil, the sky had a similar look as a large cloud of gray covered it almost signifying a storm was approaching. None of the trees had any leaves like the world had been struck with a ghastly plague.

"Does… the entire world look like…" Ken asked quickly being answered.

"Yes and some places are worse." Link said looking around searching for something.

"Kari are you alright your shaking?" Gatomon asked noticing her partners discomfort.

"I'm just a little cold that's all." Kari said rubbing her hands in an attempt to warm herself up.

"What are you talking about I don't feel a thing." Yolei said not feeling any different from how she was before.

"Actually I feel a little chilly to." TK said rubbing his arms.

"I don't feel a thing." Ken said looking at Wormmon.

"It's the darkness." Link said still standing where he was. "Most people who are at least some what pure feel it, those that don't have usually had direct contact with darkness, or have in fact have been or still are consumed by it."

The entire groups reaction was nothing but a silent disbelief.

"The feeling of your bones being frozen, but your blood boiling." Link said turning around facing everyone giving them a deadly stare. "This feeling is shared by nearly everyone here, like an eternal nightmare that you can't wake up from. Most just ignore the feeling and try to go on with their lives, but they never really forget it, it's always there eating away at the back of their minds."

"…So when do we head for this, um base of yours?" Davis said quickly trying to lighten the mood.

"Give me a moment I don't know exactly where we are." Link said now looking at the scenery behind the DigiDestined.

Showing amazing reflexes and speed Link quickly jumped up into the air seeming to just go higher and higher as everybody's eyes tried to follow him.

"Eh um!" Link said once again in front of the DigiDestined.

"How did you do that!?" Hawkmon and Gatomon both screamed.

"The dimensional rift brought us to the wrong place, so now I have to change our course of action." Link said paying no attention to the outburst. "And the quickest route will take us through a neutral town."

"Alright then lets go!" Yolei shouted getting another look from Link.

"Hold still." Link said lifting his hand in the direction of the DigiDestined as if he were about to attack.

"Hey wait I though we were on the same side!" Wormmon said jumping behind Ken's leg.

"You are now hold still." Link said letting a bright flash of light emanate from his palm. "Alright let's go."

"Do you really think that we're going to follow you after you attacked us!" Gatomon shouted ready for a battle.

Link quickly turned around facing the entire group looking irritated. "If I had attacked you, you'd all be dead." Link said blandly.

It was just now that each Digital partner realized that his or her counter part now had a dark brown robe over his or her clothes coving their entire body since it also dragged on the ground.

"Hide your face in the hoods and keep your hands in the sleeves." Link pulled up his hood and began walking in the direction he knew would take them towards their destination. "Have your Digimon speak for you, and if you need anything, don't ask."

The entire group being lead by Link was for the most part silent Davis stuck close to Kari, Yolei to Ken and Cody was keeping a quiet conversation with TK, Patamon and Armadillomon.

"Is it just me or is Link acting differently then when we had met him?" Cody asked making sure to keep his voice down.

"I'd say that's a big yes." Patamon said watching Link closely.

"Well can you blame the guy?" Armadillomon said quickly. "After all he did just get to see a world where none of this exists."

"I suppose you're right Armadillomon." Cody said gazing around at this desolate world.

"No there's something else." TK said keeping a serious look on the situation. "Something is bothering him, but he won't tell us."

Link's ears kept down as he listened to this conversation from afar, still surprised that these were in fact the DigiDestined.

"How do you do that?" Gatomon asked walking side by side with Link.

Link was snapped out of his trance and away from the other conversations that The DigiDestined were having. "Do what?"

"You're not leaving any foot prints in the dirt." Gatomon said pointing out that he was the only one not leaving a trail.

"…I never noticed that, I guess it's just from my training." Link said shrugging it off and continuing the walk.

"I have a few other questions if you don't mind answering them?" Gatomon said wondering a few key items about this world.

"I'm not at liberty to discuss much, but if I can answer any of your questions, I will." Link said not letting his eyes waver.

"Good."

"Geez why is Gatomon hanging onto that guy like that?!" Veemon grumbled to himself. "Last time I checked he was the one that attacked her, so why would she want to be around him."

Veemon had started walking faster then Davis and Kari making sure not to get to close to Gatomon and Link, not sure he wanted to know what they were talking about. It had been nearly an hour and everyone had started to become tired, that is except for Link and Gatomon.

"Hey how much farther?" Yolei yelled her feet starting to hurt.

"We're approaching the town so I suggest you don't talk." Link said not even bothering to look behind him.

The town seemed like out of an old western movie, the buildings were all made of wood with wooden sidewalks. The dirt road was empty not a single Digimon was out on the street, each shutter on every building was shut and obviously locked considering the wind wasn't blowing them open.

"Not much of a change in scenery." TK said looking around.

"You said it." Patamon said flying next to his partner.

Some of the buildings had signs on the front showing they were some kind of business, most just said shop, or market. Catching everyone off guard Link suddenly stopped and looked over at a small cart where three Gotsumon were talking to an old looking Mushroomon.

"Wait here." Link said walking over to the cart.

"Well!" The first Gotsumon shouted.

"Please I'm just a merchant I sell my food to everyone who pays. I don't give special treatment to anyone." The elderly Mushroomon said.

"You didn't answer his question!" The second Gotsumon said pushing the Mushroomon back. "Do you or do you not help the rebels!"

"But I just gave you my answer." The Mushroomon said standing back up.

"I think he needs some persuasion." The third Gotsumon said cracking his knuckles.

"Agreed." The second said kicking one of the legs of the cart in causing all the food on the cart to fall.

"No, my crops." The Mushroomon said immediately trying to gather the food that fell.

"Ha, ha, ha…c'mon gramps you should relax more." The first Gotsumon said looking down on the Mushroomon. "In fact I think I'll help you with that!"

Pulling his arm back the Gotsumon waited till just the right moment to strike the Mushroomon right in the back of the head, intending to end the Digimon's life in a single hit. The elderly Mushroomon was completely unaware of what was going on as he was still collecting his goods. The Gotsumon was about to bring his hand down when he felt something grab it and throw him down on the ground.

"Hey what's the big idea!" The third Gotsumon said turning around seeing a figure in a black shroud standing over their fallen comrade.

"Yeah you looking for a fight." The second Gotsumon said preparing for a fight.

"No, but you three are." Link said in his normal monotone voice. "This is a neutral zone so if you start anything with anyone you must finish it."

"Hey don't talk to us about protocol bud." The first Gotsumon said standing up going directly into an offensive position. "We're elite warriors for Master!"

"…No you're not." Link said looking the three over quickly. "You're weak nothings that think you can do anything."

"Why you!" The third Gotsumon shouted ready to go on the attack.

"We'll show you who's weak!" The first Gotsumon yelled moving towards Link quickly.

"Soldier!" A male Black Gatomon shouted running over to the group that had surrounded Link. "What do you think you three are doing!?"

"This rebel attacked me!" The first Gotsumon yelled pointing towards Link. "I was just going by code."

"…Is this true." The Black Gatomon asked.

"No." Link said his face still shrouded by his cloak. "Your men were attacking a vendor and were about to kill him, I stopped it."

"Private!" The Black Gatomon hollered as he turned to face his warrior.

"Hey who you going to believe, me or some rebel?" The Gotsumon asked tensely, Quickly receiving his answer as the Black Gatomon placed a strong punch to the side of the Gotsumon's face leaving small thread like cracks in his face. "Aaaahhhhh!"

"That will be the start of your punishment!" The Black Gatomon said calmer then before. "And that was just for lying, as for the rest of you I will report this to Master and have him deal with you." The other two Gotsumon quickly looked at each other with a look of dread on both their faces. The Black Gatomon turned to face Link. "I apologize for my soldiers behavior, they are young and thoughtless."

"An apology from a warrior of Master's is meaningless, and a privates actions directly reflect the strength of their leader." Link turned his back to the Black Gatomon. "Perhaps you should also let Master punish you for not having a leash on those so called warriors since they seem no smarter than a group of fiends."

"That's the last straw!" The first Gotsumon said removing his hand from the side of his face. "You're dead!"

Leaping over the Black Gatomon the Gotsumon looked to land a solid punch to the back of Link's head, unfortunately for him Link had seen this and took a small step to his side avoiding the attack completely, while the Gotsumon landed face first into the dirt.

"Why you!" The Gotsumon said with a fierce look in his eyes. "Guys attack number three!"

Taking their place at certain points around Link the other two Gotsumon were ready to attack.

"Stop this at once!" The Black Gatomon shouted. "That is a direct order."

"Die!" The two Gotsumon screamed charging at Link.

Without even looking Link could tell where the two Gotsumon were and anticipated their attack, and evaded it by jumping into the air, being followed as closely as possible by the first Gotsumon.

"GOT YOU!" The Gotsumon said finally catching up to Link. "NOW DIE!"

Going for a quick hit the Gotsumon aimed directly for the center of the hood intending to knock this person back to the ground, which caught the Gotsumon off guard when the figure surprisingly disappeared right before his hand struck.

"Looking for me?" Link said from behind the Gotsumon not letting his voice change in the least.

"Huh what the helAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH…" The Gotsumon said suddenly feeling something go through his entire body.

When Link finally fell back to the ground the two Gotsumon backed up considerably since he showed no effort in driving his fist through their companion's body making him break apart.

<We may be tough, but this guys dangerous.> One of the two remaining Gotsumon were thinking.

Slowly the other took a small step back, drawing Link's attention to him. "Sorry, but you can't run."

Quickly Link brought his fist straight towards the Gotsumon's head and literally shattering it to shards, not even letting the Digimon give a final sound out as he broke apart.

"Ahhh!" The Final Gotsumon screamed as he turned and ran from the scene not wanting to be destroyed.

Moving as swiftly as he could the Gotsumon ran from the scene passing the DigiDestined without even noticing them. Making sure that the figure wasn't following him the Gotsumon took a quick glance over his shoulder, surprisingly he saw the figure still standing where had been before, that is until the Gotsumon's feet were swept out from under him.

"Coward, face your fate." Link said as he stood where the Gotsumon's head had fallen.

Getting up on his knees the Gotsumon looked up at the figure. "Please mercy!"

"Mercy? MERCY!?" Link shouted making the Gotsumon practically jump. "You pathetic excuse for a warrior, you threaten the innocent and are willing to take lives, but when it comes to your own you expect mercy…fine I'll grant you my mercy."

In what was nearly invisible Link brought his foot straight up through the Gotsumon turning the rock type Digimon into dust.

"A quick and painless death." Link said placing his foot down.

Link had begun to walk back towards the DigiDestined again when he suddenly heard a faint and familiar sound. Reacting immediately Link moved to the side as the Black Gatomon landed on his front paws doing a flip and landing on his feet with his back towards Link knelling on one leg. Once the Black Gatomon had turned around Link could see the determination and hatred in his eyes.

"You didn't have to kill them," The Black Gatomon said standing up straight. "To you they were nothing."

"Yes." Link said as if he had been asked a question. "But then, they were the ones that had attacked me."

"You provoked them!"

"That doesn't matter as their superior you should've had better control over them." Link said. "Or perhaps you aren't superior."

"I'll show you superior!" The Black Gatomon screamed charging towards Link.

The Black Gatomon moved in towards Link at an amazingly fast speed intending to try and end this fight in a single swift motion with his claws. However Link was easily able to counter the attack by grabbing the Black Gatomon's claw and swinging him directly into a wall and holding him there. Bringing his own claw up Link intended to finish this fight once and for all.

"Link don't!" Gatomon screamed seeing the emotion in Kari's eyes after witnessing everything that happened.

Cutting only the surface of the Black Gatomon's skin on his left cheek Link embedded his claw into the wall behind the Black Gatomon.

"L…Link?!" The Black Gatomon stuttered with fear in his eyes.

Still holding the Black Gatomon in place Link withdrew his claw from the stone wall and pulled down his hood finally revealing his face.

"It…it is you." The Black Gatomon said with even more terror in his voice.

"Who do you report to." Link demanded.

The Black Gatomon was so overcome with dread that all he could do was stare at Link completely motionless.

"WHO!" Link said raising his voice along with the Black Gatomon. "Is it them!?"

"Yes!" The Black Gatomon screamed in utter fear for his life.

"Good," Link said dropping the Black Gatomon to the ground. "Tell them that I'm back."

Turning on his heels the Black Gatomon ran from Link as quickly as his feet would take him as if his life depended on it. Once the Black Gatomon was out of his sight Link readjusted his hood and walked over to the DigiDestined.

"Why did you do that?!" Hawkmon asked quickly before Yolei screamed.

"If you have any problems with my methods…" Link began to say as he looked over at the elderly Mushroomon. "tough!"

Walking over to the cart the elderly Mushroomon took a small step back from Link, holding what he could carry.

"Please I didn't say anything." The Mushroomon said bracing himself.

"Your cart is damaged." Link said looking at the wooden cart. "Here."

Link carefully lifted the cart with one paw and placed a small stone under the broken leg with his tail, to make it even with the other three.

"…Thank you."

"They will not bother you again, so you need not worry." Link said turning around.

"Wait." The Mushroomon said quickly catching Link's attention. "At least let me repay your actions."

"I can not accept your payment." Link said turning around. "I did this simply for…"

"Nonsense, you young warriors are always so proud never willing to accept help from an old man like me." The Mushroomon said giving a bag of his goods to Link. "Here."

"I have no money to pay for it."

"Of course you do." The elderly Mushroomon said looking at Link's hand that was holding the goods.

Link looked at his hand and realized that the old Digimon had slipped a few coins into his palm when he had handed him the bag.

"Here you are."

"Well it's a little less than what I ask, but since you took care of those ruffians who damaged my goods I'll give you a small discount." The Mushroomon said placing the money into a small box. "You take care young warrior." The old Mushroomon said.

"Yes sir." Link said.

Rejoining the DigiDestined, Link threw the bag over his shoulder and began walking towards one of the buildings.

"So where is this base of yours?" Yolei asked.

"Keep quiet." Link said swiftly. "I have some things I have to take care of first so I'll put you in a lodging for a small amount of time, until I feel it's safe to move on."

"Um well why don't we just try to continue on?" Hawkmon said quickly before his partner's rage exploded.

"I do not want to take any unnecessary risks considering the situation we are currently in." Link said walking into one of the larger buildings.

Inside a Tapermon looking at what seemed to be a newspaper was behind a counter where the wall behind him had several keys hanging on it.

Link walked over to the counter and knocked on it catching the Tapermon's attention.

"Yeah?" The Tapermon said.

"I want six rooms." Link said directly.

"Yeah and I want a resort home with three nymphomaniac bi-sexual Gatomon, but we don't always get what we want now do we." The Tapermon said sarcastically, with Gatomon nearly about to pounce. "No money, no rooms!"

"This is all the funds that I have left." Link said showing a few small coins.

"Ha! That's not enough for one room let alone six!" The Tapermon said going back to the paper. "Look you obviously spent all your money on that food so to bad."

"Then maybe we can arrange a trade, your rooms for my food." Link said placing the food on the counter.

"Is it rotten?"

"I just purchased it."

Removing one of the items from the bag the Tapermon carefully examined it and bit into it. "Hmmmm, not bad, alright I suppose I can give you three rooms."

"I need six." Link said quickly his irritation apparent.

"Look pal all I've got is three so you can take them or you can leave them!" The Tapermon said placing the food beside his chair.

"Fine, however I will also need a communication line and complete privacy for my associates." Link said making sure to get everything he needed.

"Sure no problem the line is in the other room, and no signatures, got it." The Tapermon said not bothering to get the sign-in book. In this day so many were running from someone the books at lodges were always empty, even when their weren't any rooms available.

The Tapermon took the three remaining keys from off the wall and tossed them onto the table. Taking the keys Link moved into the next room followed by the rest of the group.

"Thank you mister." Patamon said to the Tapermon before following TK into the room.

<Weirdo.> The Tapermon thought.

"Alright listen up I don't care which rooms you go to just don't leave them until I return, and don't open them for anyone except me, got it." Link said handing the keys to the Digimon.

"Relax." Gatomon said.

"Yeah we're not children." Hawkmon said quickly

"Besides we can defend ourselves partner." Armadillomon said taking one of the keys.

"Whatever, I should be back shortly." Link said leaving the building.

Everyone already knew who was going to which room so TK and Cody didn't bother trying to go in a different direction since Yolei by now had taken Ken into the closest room she could.

"Well I guess we wait till Link gets back." Kari said to TK looking at the door Yolei had taken.

"Just go you two." TK said letting Kari and Davis know they could go to the next room.

"Thanks T," Davis said quickly being pulled into the next room by Kari.

"I figured we would be bunking together." Cody said blandly. "No offense."

"None taken, I knew we would to." TK said opening the last door. "Besides this gives me a chance to find out more about your girlfriend Trinity."

Although his face was hidden in the robe TK, Patamon, and Armadillomon all knew he was blushing.

In another building in the same town small groups of Digimon were sitting at tables and counters each enjoying the drink that they had in their hands, while the bar keeper a yellow Veggiemon was cleaning one of the glasses. Slowly the small amount of light that did shine through the holes in the ceiling hit a spot on the floor that had been marked.

"Ok guys," The yellow Veggiemon said seeing where the light was. "We're closing up, you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here."

Slowly the Digimon began shuffling out the swinging doors of the bar while letting out incoherent groans of disapproval. Once the last Digimon had left the Veggiemon began gathering the glasses that were left on the tables and counters. Finally placing the liquor he had been serving back on the wall behind him the Veggiemon was almost ready to leave when he heard the squeaking of the doors and floor boards.

"We're closed, so go home." The Veggiemon said harshly,

"Then how about one to make me forget where that is." An all to familiar voice to the bartender said.

"If you're who I think you are then I think I've gone nuts cause I'm hearing a ghost." The Veggiemon said turning around to see a person clad in a tattered black robe.

"Well you never were completely sane." Link said pulling his hood back. "Besides I don't die easy."

"Yeah I know, your too damn stubborn and stupid." The Veggiemon said grabbing two glasses. "Well this calls for a celebration."

Pulling a bottle out from under the counter the Veggiemon uncorked a dark shaded bottle and poured a small amount of the dark liquid into the glasses.

"What's the occasion?" Link asked sitting down on the stool in front of the bartender.

"It isn't every day someone comes back from the dead." The Veggiemon said lifting his glass.

Link picked up the glass, looking into it swirling the liquid around on the bottom of the glass looking back at himself.

"They thought I died?" Link asked not bothering to look up.

"Aaaah, Yep, *hick* both sides." The Veggiemon said carefully pouring himself another glass.

"How long have I been gone?"

"Geez if I knew we were going to play Q&A I would have closed early." Veggiemon said corking the bottle.

"Sorry, old habits." Link said finally taking a small sip of his drink. "How have things been?"

"Business is going up, I think more people are losing it." Finally gaining a serious tone the Veggiemon said downing his second glass. "Master's been working slowly, two bases were taken over."

"I see." Link said placing the empty glass down. "What about the two,"

"Nah, since you disappeared they've been MIA, which is why the lower officers have become more violent, you know no leash." Veggiemon said knowing partially about what happened outside. "Not just that, but some weird things have been happening also."

"What?!" Link said his interest caught.

"I heard a rumor that a bunch of Master's soldiers took a trip to a secluded area."

"How may I ask is that weird?" Link asked his curiosity diminished.

"That scientist guy you once told me about was supposedly with them." Veggiemon said taking the glasses. "That strange enough for you."

<What is Master doing?> Link thought to himself. "How much do I owe you for the drink?"

"Ha, good one, you couldn't pay for that if you saved your entire life, it's on the house."

"Thanks for the info, and the drink." Link said pulling his hood back up. "I'd better go I still have to finish something."

"Mmmm" Yolei moaned softly, trying to keep her voice down. "Ken stop torturing me."

Ken was currently between Yolei's legs and under the robe seeing as she couldn't wait any longer, as he could tell.

"No way Yolei, you'll just have to enjoy it." Ken said gently rubbing the inside of her legs. "I said we're taking it slow from now on and I was serious.

Ken slowly dragged his entire finger up across Yolei's outer lips making her legs shudder and a small ripple travel all through her back.

"I…ah…don't see…whyyyyy!" Yolei stumbled out as Ken spread her womanhood bit by bit.

"Simple." Ken said letting his tongue leisurely travel into Yolei's opening.

"You broke the bed last time at home." Ken said pulling himself out from Yolei's robe.

"Oh yeah… that." Yolei said completely flushed from the treatment.

"So this time I'm the one that's going to be in control," Ken said deeply kissing Yolei while rubbing her chest firmly. "got it."

"Yes sir." Yolei said starting to enjoy this treatment.

Ken finally feeling this would be a good time pulled off his robe seeing as it would take a few moments and keep Yolei in suspense. Once his robe was off he removed his shirt exposing his upper body to his beloved. Pulling Yolei up Ken lifted her slightly so that he could finally remove her brown robe since it did nothing to complement her magnificence. Since they had already removed her pants and under garments she was naked from the waist down, and quite wet.

"There don't you think this is better than rushing everything?" Ken said kissing her neck while gripping one of her nipples through her shirt and bra.

"Ahhh, Ken please…I don't know how long I…can take this." Yolei said feeling her womanhood becoming more damp.

"Alright, but you have to earn it this time." Ken said backing up.
