Now it's my friend's chapter. I have two lines in it, though.

Chapter 7: Signatures and pictures

Boo and Ken walked quickly by the light of streetlamps. They ran down the crosswalk and Boo fell behind. He heard something fall and a yelp.

"Wha?"

He turned and saw Boo laying on her side on the pavement. She held her wrist to her chest; her books were scattered.

"Ow . . ."

The next day at school Boo came in with a cast on her left arm. Ken told the story to everybody of how it happened. (a/n: the end) Boo gritted her teeth and tried to scratch under the cast.

"Ooh! It itches!"

She glared at her cast and sighed.

Matt came over and produced a sharpie.

"Mind if I sign you?"

She held out her arm and fluttered her lashes in a broad parody of flirting. He grinned wickedly and wrote his name along with a face.

He capped the pen and pulled a harmonica from his pocket. He held it out to her.

"Here, this is for you. I can teach you to play if you like."

Boo grinned and nodded, taking it.

Tai came over and signed her cast too. Everybody signed her and drew little pictures. Kari made a sun, Chase a dancing stickman, TK a smiley, Yolei a butterfly.

She sat back as class started. The class, algebra, was an easy one for her. Kari passed her a note.

Boo-

Are you going to the dance? It'll be fun! We dress nice, but not formal. Afterward we will go to my house for a sleepover! It's Friday, starting at six.

Boo nodded and smiled.

"Sure, I'll go."

Okay, that was short, but I'm posting more than one chapter tonight. I'll try to get up five every week to make up for weekdays that I don't have the notebook. That's why it took a while for me to update.
