Numb Hearts

Chapter Six

Lee kept on running down the street trying to find keep up with his friend. He chased him down to the park where he found Takato in a run down shack.

"Takato ...."

"No, stay away!"

The young half chine's boy stood there watching Takato sit there with tears in his eyes. Lee got to his hands and knee's looking softly at the other boy.

"Would this help?"

He leaned closer sticking his tongue down Takato's throat. Waves of emotions struck the half scared boy as hot tears came streaming down his cheeks. I can't do this, Takato thought as he closed his eyes, even if it does feel good, this is not right. Lee pulled away when he felt tears coming down the other boys face.

"Takato .... I ...."

"No Lee ... I should apologize .... I just can't, I'm sorry."

"What do you mean ---- Takato, I'm flattered that you like me ...."

"I .... I gotta go." The other boy responded walking past him.

"No," said Lee angrily gripping the other boy by the wrist, "not until you tell me why you say that you like me and know you don't want to go out with me?"

"I'm sorry," Takato whispered collapsing to the ground, "I didn't mean to ....."

"Takato please don't --- if you need time to sort out your feelings I can wait ...."

"It's not that ... I do love you but I just can't ...."

"Takato, I don't understand," Lee chocked as his eyes welled up with tears, "you like me but you don't want to go out on a date with me? Why?"

"Please Lee ...."

"No! I'm not leaving until you answer me!"

"I'm really sorry .... I .... I just can't do it ...."

With that, Takato ran out leaving Lee standing there. He sank to the floor with great pain in his eyes not believing what just took place. They haven't spoken to each other since. Ryo even noticed (when he got back to school two weeks ago) that something was wrong; he could feel it.

I know it's none of my business but ..... but what stopped them from seeing each other, he thought looking out the window, I hope they didn't get into a fight on my account they where so nice to me especially Lee. Ryo sighed, a happy dreamful sigh. He hadn't been able to get the half chine's boy out of his mind ever since they met. Ryo never met anyone quite as nice as Lee before.

"Ryo you have a visitor!"

The young boy got up walked down stairs to come face to face with Lee. Ryo noticed that the other boy looked a little out of it; and it was a good time as any to fined out what was going on with him and Takato.

"Mom, Lee and I will be upstairs!" Ryo called out dragging his guest up the stairs.

"NO! I want you too stay down here!" She demanded walking up.

"Its okay ma'am," Lee responded, "I was going to help him on his homework."

Ryo's mother looked suspiciously at the boy for one moment and walked back into the kitchen. The young boy grabbed him and drug him to his room as Lee sat on the bed.

"I'm glad you came though." Ryo finally said sitting next to the other boy.

Silence.

"Lee? What's going on with you and Takato?"

"It's nothing ... you wouldn't understand ...."

"Try me."

Lee looked at Ryo for moment before giving in and having to tell his secret. The blue eyed boy partly turned took the other boys hand in his. Lee could feel the same sensation he got when Takato told him how he felt, he turned away when Ryo looked even closer at him.

"He hurt you didn't he." Ryo finally asked.

He watched with pain in his eyes as Lee broke down into sobs. Ryo pulled the other boy into a hug as he stoked his back. He felt very bad for the other boy having his heart broken.

"Shh," Ryo cooked in the other boy's ear, "it's all right to cry."

The blue eyed boy didn't know what else to say. He looked down at the other boy waves of emotions running through his mind. Why would anyone want to hurt a beautiful person like Lee, Ryo thought noticing that the other boy has stopped crying. He looked down again to see that Lee had his eyes closed, Ryo couldn't tell if he was sleeping but the one thing he couldn't mistake was that Lee's cheeks where pink.

"You okay?" Ryo asked temting to touch the other boy's forehead.

"Maybe I should go ...." He said, not even looking at the other boy.

Ryo blinked with a hurt look on his face as he watched Lee walked to the door, but something in him snapped making him get up taking the other boy in his arms. Ryo moved in front of him to see tears coming down Lee's eyes; he leaned closer kissing the tears away. The other boy looked away feeling Ryo's soft lips on his cheeks. The other boy put his hand under Lee's chin kissing him on the lips slipping his other arm around him.

"Ryo ...."

"Shh ...."

"Ryo .... please ....." Lee pleated feeling the other boy's hand roaming his chest down to the middle of his legs, "Ryo I can't do this!"

He pushed the other boy turned and ran out of the way. Quite hard as he turned and ran out of the apartment building leaving a 'oh-my -god-what-have-I-done' Ryo behind.
