Chapter 1

~*~Dreams & Math Notes~*~

It was the same thing everynight for the past 3 weeks. I kept seeing this girl. I couldn't see her face, but something about her was just so familier. She would walk me through this graveyard, never turning to look at me, just leading me by the hand. She would stop at a particular mausoleum. She'd let go of my hand and point to the door looking in my direction. Her face still shrouded by shadows.

"This is your home, Jenrya. This is your home."

Then I wake up.

I don't know what is wrong with me. All I know is that these dreams have to mean something. Do they mean I'm gonna die? Does it mean someone else is gonna die? Or maybe its just some pointless dream created by my imagination. I just hope its that.

I felt something squirm beside me. To my relief it was just Terriermon reliving his Princess Prettypants nightmares. Heh. Cute. Wish life was really that simple.

Same old, same old. Once morning came around I usually forget about the dreams. They don't leave my memory. It's just that I have more important things to worry about. Such as the test in Grammer I had that day. I stopped walking when I felt a someone approach me. I didn't know who it was nor did I have any desire to. I started to walk again.

A chill surged through me as a hand touched my shoulder.

"Hey, Jen. I didn't get the math notes last class... can I borrow yours?"

I turned around to see Ruki looking rather, well, Ruki-ish. Except there was something different about her. Something...

"My notes?"

"Yes." She said looking away.

Something... Then it hit me. She was asking for help. She hated asking people for help and favors. She felt it made her weak.

I smiled.

"Sure. If you want I can go over them with you."

"That's alright. I can figure it out..." She paused.

"Oooogghhhh I HATE Grammer. I don't want to take that stupid test today."

There was the old Ruki, coming back full swing.

"You want me to h..." I caught myself "... study for it with you?"

"Why would you want to?" Ruki said looking at me curiously.

"Because I need to study allittle more too. We can work together on it." I coolly stated.

"You mean you're gonna help me. Is that it?" She said getting her patented glare in her eyes.

"Eeee... Yeah maybe. Uh..." I bowed my head in defeat.

"That would be nice. Meet me at the benches during lunch hour. Don't be late!" She said as I handed her my math notes.

The bell rang for morning class.
