Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Return of the Kaiser ❯ Enemy Planning ( Chapter 7 )
Disclaimer: I do not own Digimon or any of the characters thus associated with it. I own Nathaniel, Raven, and the storyline, so there! :P
Kagome: All right. We're ready for chapter seven now
Raven: Speaking of which, has anybody seen Nathaniel?
Kagome: *frowns* What does Nathaniel have to do with anything?
Raven: Well, see *blushes* Nat promised me that he'd help with the introduction, but he seems to have disappeared.
Kagome: Oh. Okay. Well, then I guess you'd better go find him then, ne?
Raven: Yeah, I guess so. *saunters out of room* Nat! Where'd you go!
Kagome: *rolls eyes* Well, since I don't have either of my muses now, I guess I don't really need to do an introduction. Here's chapter seven. Enjoy.
Chapter Seven: What now?
Daisuke yawned and stretched, opening his eyes and cursing the Digital sun. He had been trapped in the Digital World for the past week. Well, not really trapped, but he didn't dare leave the Digital World for fear of what he might do in the real world. He hadn't even taken the time to explain what was happening to his family.
Not that the Master would have allowed it anyhow, he thought, feeling a bitter sense of irony at the term. He was now the would-be ruler of the Digital World, but even he had a master, somewhere.
The evil being that forced all this upon him hadn't shown since Daisuke had agreed to let the dark spore grow within him and had quit fighting it. He knew instinctively what was allowed and what wasn't, and he suspected that while the Master watched him, it chose to do nothing as long as he behaved.
Sighing, he rose out of bed and headed for his throne room, wondering absently if he'd get to fight the Digidestined today. Then he blinked. He controlled Yamato via a dark ring, and could always ask him whether the Digidestined were going to show up today or not.
Grinning to himself and humming a little tune under his breath, he sent an e-mail to Yamato, questioning him about the plans for the Digidestined. A few minutes later, Yamato was in the Digital World approaching his base.
As he was escorted into the throne room by half a dozen ringed digimon slaves, Daisuke noticed that he appeared to be a bit nervous, and smirked. "Frightened, are we, pet?" he inquired, not really caring if he got an answer or not.
Yamato didn't answer him, but instead came before him and knelt, head bowed. With Dai's permission, he raised his head and spoke. "I was with the other Chosen when you called me. They are currently attempting to find a way to call out the true Daisuke from under the influence of the dark spore. I believe they're going to attempt something similar to what you did with Ken, Master."
The dark ring forced Yama to tell the truth and to call him Master, so Daisuke nodded and leaned back in his throne, satisfied for the moment. Then something occurred to him. "If you were with the Digidestined, wouldn't they be suspicious of your sudden disappearance?" he snarled, glaring at his human slave.
Yamato gulped and bowed his head, murmuring, "No, Master. They know already that I serve you and that I am controlled by a dark ring, so they will not be surprised if I suddenly disappear."
Daisuke nodded. "That's good. Will they keep you included in the planning?" he questioned. Yamato assured him that the others felt he'd be more of a help than a hindrance, since he worked both ways. Besides, the Digidestined were going to take a straight-forward approach to this new problem, so there really wasn't much to hide from him.
Daisuke nodded then dismissed his slave, after setting a future date and time for another meeting, and for some `playtime'. Then he set about planning how to stop the Digidestined. He didn't want them dead, but he wanted them out of the way.
Tapping on his keyboard, he set about planning his next move against the Digital World. He was hunting for new territory to take over, new digimon to make into his slaves, and ways to create distractions for the Digidestined upon they're return to the Digital World.
Two hours and three territories later, he noticed two small blips on one of his screens: a black light and a green one. The Kaiser and his consort were back, and they landed right in the middle of Daisuke's new territory.
Hmmm………the Darkness had given the chance for Ken to become the Digimon Kaiser for a second time and to choose one companion in order to prevent a greater evil from taking over. Daisuke was that greater evil, and he knew it, but he just didn't how he was more evil yet. After all, he hadn't tortured any innocent digimon yet.
Oh, well. He'd think about that later. For now, he had a Kaiser to catch. If the Kaiser had the ability to stop him somehow, then it was his duty to insure that wouldn't happen. Calling upon a small army of ringed Darktyrannamon, he ambushed the two Digidestined.
Once they had been knocked out and apprehended, he placed them in his dungeon, chaining them tightly to the wall in metal cuffs. Their feet didn't touch the ground, so their arms were forced to hold all their weight.
He placed their digimon partners in another cell after making sure they couldn't digivolve. He didn't ring them yet, because they would prove more useful free, with the threat of being ringed.
Satisfied with his work, he sat back to wait until they woke up, contemplating all the fun he'd have with them once they woke up.
Kagome: Okay, I know this is short, but I couldn't help it. This is a good place to stop, so I'm stopping.
Raven: *yelling* Nathaniel! Where are you?!
Kagome: Have you checked the yard yet?
Raven: No. Thanks! *waves and runs off* Nathaniel!
Kagome: It's okay. You can come up now Nathaniel.
Nathaniel: *coming out from under desk* Phew! Thank you.
Kagome: No problem. I understand, Raven can be a bit………overwhelming at times.
Nathaniel: That's an understatement. Anyhow, please read and review. Thank you.
