Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Return of the Kaiser ❯ Torture and Freedom ( Chapter 9 )
Disclaimer: I do not own Digimon or any of the characters associated with it. I own Raven, Nathaniel, and this storyline.
Kagome: All right. Yes, I know, this is my third chapter in one day.
Raven: *rolls eyes* She doesn't have a life, so she writes all the time.
Nathaniel: *quietly* At least she gets them posted so people can read them. It could always be worse.
Raven: Yeah, tell me about it. *rolls eyes* She could always update once a month instead.
Kagome: *flushes* All right, anyhow, let's just get this done so I can take a break okay? You guys are giving me ideas too fast.
Raven: All right.
Nathaniel: *nods* Sure.
Chapter Nine: Torture and Freedom
Ken groaned as he opened his eyes, not aware of where he was again. This was becoming a habit, he noted wryly, as once again he noticed that he couldn't move. Looking around the room, he groaned again as he realized that both he and Taichi were tied to two metal tables, restrained at both wrists and ankles. Apparently the others hadn't located them yet.
Once again, the ex-Kaiser found himself waiting patiently for his boyfriend to wake up and contemplating his fate. At least their digimon partners weren't ringed yet, so they had some hope.
Tai woke up a few minutes later, and again tried to escape, with much the same results. Slumping back against the table, he looked over and smiled wryly at Ken. "When Daisuke asked me if I would ask you out on a date, I never understood why. Now I still don't understand, but I'm kinda glad he did."
Ken looked over at him, clearly puzzled, and Tai laughed. "I would have never been able to live with myself if I had refused to do this and you had been forced to make that choice, and then get tortured alone. I would've been miserable knowing that I had a chance to offer you companionship and I turned it down."
Ken smiled at him gently, rather touched by the older boy's clumsy words. "Well, I'm glad I'm not alone as well, but I was really hoping that you wouldn't be put in this kind of danger because of me."
Taichi just laughed, catching the younger boy completely by surprise, and answered, "Do you really think any of the others are in less danger. Besides, I knew full well what could happen going into this."
Familiar laughter rang throughout the room, and both captives flinched at the surprising amount of pain that was inflicted upon hearing a sound once full of warmth and joy filled now with a bitter cruelty.
Daisuke strolled into the room, looking over his two unwilling captives with relish. He was wearing all black; black leather pants, a tight black t-shirt that showed off his bronze arm muscles, black knee-high boots, two black armbands around his forearms, and a black leather collar around his tanned throat. All in all, he was rather breath-taking, and black suited him.
Daisuke trailed his hand down the Kaiser's torso, smirking as the boy shivered underneath his touch. "Like that, did you?" he guessed. "Very sensual, aren't we, pet?" Ken just glared at him, and Daisuke widened his smirk into a grin.
Ken felt his throat tighten at that grin, tears threatening to fall from his eyes. He knew that grin so well, had spent much of his time trying to get that grin to appear on his best friend's face, and it hurt him to see that grin on a face that was so cold and bitter.
In the meantime, Daisuke had decided to torture Taichi first and let Ken watch. Smirking, he went over to his tools and chose one; a thin knife that wouldn't make deep cuts. Sauntering over to the pinned brunette, he climbed onto the table and straddled the older boy's hips.
Sliding the knife under the collar of his shirt, Daisuke very quickly tore it through the shirt, cutting first down the front and then using the knife to slice the sleeves of the shirt as well. When he was done, he yanked the shirt out from under the older boy and smirked when the boy hissed as his back came in contact with the cold steel of the table.
"Feel free to beg at any time," he offered generously. "I probably won't stop, but I might ease up a little." Ken just rolled his eyes, too worried about his boyfriend to say anything. That was a mistake. Before either boy had time to react, Daisuke's hand lashed out in a blur.
When they could gauge what had happened, there was a long gash across Taichi's chest, blood already welling up from the shallow rule. The brunette hissed as pain flashed across his face. Daisuke ignored him, gazing instead at the violet-eyed Kaiser, eyes narrowed.
"You're quite welcome to roll your eyes or comment, but just remember, every time you do something that I don't like, I will take it out on this bishounen, understood?" Ken just swallowed and nodded, trying to convey with his posture that he had submitted to the other boy's will and would not irritate him again.
Satisfied, Daisuke nodded and turned back to Taichi, making a series of smaller, thin cuts all along his torso, smirking every time the boy hissed in pain. When he was done with that, he left, striding out the door with a promise to be back in a few minutes.
Neither boy knew why he had left, but both were grateful. Ken let the tears fall that he had been holding back. "I'm sorry," he whispered brokenly. Tai looked over at him in surprise. "Whatever for?" he wondered.
Ken just shook his head, and Taichi realized what it was that had been bothering him. "Ken," he spoke firmly, waiting until the younger boy looked over at him, "This isn't your fault. It's nobody's fault. Besides," he added rather bleakly, "your turn's coming up soon, and then I'll be the one who's sorry."
Ken just blinked at him for a few seconds, then smiled sadly. "That's true, I suppose. Right now, all we can do is depend on the others to rescue us." Tai nodded, just as Daisuke walked back into the room.
He appeared to be in a rather foul mood, and was muttering and cursing under his breath as he entered. He strode angrily to Taichi and pressed down ruthlessly on his wounds until the older boy cried out under the pressure.
Then he turned on Ken, snarling, "Those damned Digidestined. They're hunting for you, but they're freeing my territories on the way." Then he smirked. "However, I sent them an e-mail telling them that I'd give you one injury for every digimon they freed, every area they liberated, every little thing they do to make me angry."
Ken and Taichi both swallowed and found themselves praying that the others actually listened. Apparently Daisuke had decided that he didn't have much time and so would have to rush the torture a bit, moving onto the next stage and the next victim.
Tearing Ken's shirt off of him, he strolled over to a fireplace in the room and removed two items. One was a long, thin iron, heated to burn, but not to scar. The other was a small symbol of the crests of courage and friendship, heated with the intent to brand.
He walked back over to Taichi and set the small iron design into his skin. Unable to move away, the older boy did the only thing he could in the face of so much pain; he screamed. He screamed and jerked against the restraints over and over again, not stopping even after the iron was removed and set back in the fire.
After several long moments, the pain subsided and he calmed down, slumping in his restraints and breathing heavily, trying not to hyperventilate. In the meantime, their torturer had removed the long iron bar from the flames and was standing by the keeper of kindness.
On the first pass, he just skimmed over the boy's skin, testing the heat. Startled at the sudden burning sensation, Ken just hissed, watching as his skin reddened from the heat. It didn't blister, and apparently Daisuke was satisfied with the results, because he took the hot iron and slid it across the boy's chest.
This time, Ken couldn't help it, and he screamed, jerking against his restraints. Daisuke just waited until his screaming had subsided and he stilled, then ran the bar from his collarbone down to his sternum. Ken screamed again. Daisuke made several more passes with the bar, and his victim continued to scream.
Suddenly, Daisuke disappeared from his side and he was left gasping, wondering what new torture was in store for him. He didn't have to wait long before Daisuke was back and pressing the small design into his pale skin. He screamed and bucked as forcefully as Tai had. After what seemed an enternity, he removed it, then released both boys from their restraints.
Too much in pain to resist, the boys allowed themselves to be carried by ringed digimon to the borders of Daisuke's territory, where they were met by their anxious digimon. Realizing that for some odd reason, Daisuke had let them go, they both slumped back in relief and let unconsciousness take over, not aware of when the other Chosen found them, or of being brought back to the Kaiser's base so they could be treated for their injuries there.
Kagome: All right, people. What did you think? I know I'm not very good, or very descriptive, but this is the first time I've done this.
Raven: Next chapter is………ummm………I don't know yet, but we'll think of something.
Nathaniel: Yep. Anyhow, until then, feel free to review, all right? Otherwise, Kagome might get discouraged.
